Brief History: Growing up Jason was a huge fan of Duel Monsters. Always watching the pro duelists at work and trying to learn everything he could about the game. He took to this so much that he started thinking that the only real way to play was by winning at all costs. This affected his relationship with his twin brother so much that the two started resenting each other. It wasn't until he reached early high school that he realized how he had been treating others and started reaching out to the people around him to apologize for his actions. His dueling seemed to improve with this once he started believing in his deck and his cards. Upon being accepted into Duel Academy Jason's parent's gave himself and his twin brother Dorian matching Duel Monsters decks to upgrade before leaving for the Academy. Now with his new deck complete Jason is ready to head on out to Duel Academy.

Personality: Jason is a quick-witted and confident young man. He knows his limitations and is always willing to push until he passes them. Knowing full well what he is capable of he believes that as long as he continues to believe in his deck he can do anything when it comes to Duel Monsters. Along with this he believes in his friends and will back them up no matter what. With all of this positivity though comes a negative, He regrets the way he treated others before and especially Dorian, He wants nothing more than to make it up to him and be his friend again.

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duel Academy Stories

This here is a Slice of Life, style story set in the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe. The idea here is that there's no huge universal/ world-ending threat, just a bunch of duelists and their stories on their way to graduation and eventually the pro scene. The timeline is a bit different however as the story will take place in the distant future with the events of any anime after 5ds being non-cannon in our story. Duel Academy has changed and no longer places students in dorms based on skill, instead, they are placed based on their year with first years being in the Slifer red dorm and thrid years being in Obelisk blue. We're looking for a few more players to participate and I can't wait to see what people come up with.

Rules

We will be following the latest Master Rule set, in fact, we will be using what fans are calling Master Rule 5 with the new extra deck rules working the same way. This includes the most recent ban list. If the ban list changes then we will use something in world to allow for that change.

Please do not use top tier meta decks. I and my Co-Gms will be looking at tournament finishes to make sure this rule is being followed even though tournament play is on hold for now. the idea behind this rule is so that everyone has fun and doesn't just get swamped but OTK or FTK decks or decks that are so fast it's impossible to keep up. Have fun with it ^_^

Also pleases be warry of how you'll be progressing. You want to leave some room for improvement in your deck.

Please treat everyone with respect and any trash talking needs to be kept in character.

As for posting order, my general rule is that Everyone needs to get at least their first post up before we move on. once everyone has posted we can discuss what happens either we can keep a post order or we can just forget about it and move on.

Other than that all forum rules will apply please let us know if anything would prevent you from posting.

So a good friend of mine and I were sitting back and re-watching Yu-Gi-Oh! GX when it hit us. What if we were to create a story that was centered around a bunch of Duel Academy students and their every day lives. Nothing crazy going on just a slice of life story that followed these duelists around through the Academy and beyond. The way we're working it goes as follows, Set in a timeline that separates from the rest right after 5ds the game evolved the same way but the events of the different anime no longer affect the timeline. The academy has changed so that the dorm colors represent what year you are in at the academy, not your skill level. Slifer being first years and Obelisk being third years.

Ecliptor grinned seeing his girlfriend soar through the air and took the opportunity to attack while the Ogre was distracted. Lunging forward dodging a blow from the creature's club Ecliptor stabbed his blade into the monster's belly and slashed upward and out of the creature's shoulder kicking off the creature's head and landing beside Firefox with a grin as the monster bellowed in pain.
"Vexen finish it!" he yelled noticing the health of the creature was nearly depleted.

Ecliptor watched Firefox fly through the air and moved to see how she was when he saw her standing up.
"Don't worry about me love lets just kill this thing," she said. He nodded and drew his sword moving as quickly as he could toward the ogre-like creature. I hope this thing goes down quicker than they're thinking he thought to himself.
"Vexen, come on! Let's do this partner!" he shouted over his shoulder as he blocked the attack of the ogre.

Ecliptor having been watching her the entire time they walked and talked stopped suddenly looking up. He couldn't remember where Victor had run off other than it was a forest but he didn't think this was it.
"It could be, It's been months since then so my memory is a little hazy," he said looking to the ground before looking back up and leading the way into the forest searching for Vexen. Eventually, the pair came across a clearing leading directly into the mouth of a cave. this cave worried Jackson but he figured that was where Vexen had gone.

Smiling Ecliptor quickly kissed her cheek upon her return as their arms linked as they started walking toward the forest where Vexen had asked them to meet. While they walked through the town toward the forest edge Jackson continued to mull over the thoughts that had plagued him before finally looking to Firefox with a sheepish grin that faded into a look of hurt.
"Hey, I hope you're not mad at me for getting you trapped here, and before you say anything if it wasn't for me you and Victor probably never would have even decided to play SAO. For that I'm sorry and I'm going to do everything I can to make it up to you." he said in a bit of a rush still looking to her.
