Technological Overview:
The Ryana are able to greate powerful an small energy sources. While small and powerfull, they only have a large but limited amount of power before running dry. They contain enough energy to last a long time, however once depleted they cannot be recharged. The construction of those sources costs mainly power on creation, however crystals are used to store and enhance the energy. Crystals can be created through compressing large amounts of glass and interpenetrate the glass with conductive materials, while complicated the result are the valuable crystals used in nearly all of Ryana technology. The higher the conductivity of the materials, the larger the enhancement factor and the capacity.
The fusion reactor generates energy through the usage of hydrogen, they are used to support the main energy modules and to produce the needed energy to create them.
The Ryana possess a hyperdrive, which let's them travel faster than light at a high efficency. Their sublight engines have an enourmous potential, however to use the whole potential enourmous amounts of energy are needed. Since it is way too expensive and inconvenient to use the maximal speed of 0.987c to travel, they only use it in emergencies.
The main capital weaponry are a supplement of drones which have an intelligent enemy-detection-system. They travel at high velocity and can do basic evasion, while tracking their target. The drones are powered by a cheap much less potent energy source as the above mentioned modules. Therefore they do posses a limit of effective range and destructive power. Drones can be recalled, if the all valid targets escape. Needless to say that detonated drones cannot be recalled. However the cheap version of the energy modules used in this drones may be recharged, as long as energy is still remaining in the drone. A depleted drone does not pose any threat, as the detonation can only occur if there is power left to trigger it.
Energy pulses are also used for weapons, from guns, rifles and cannons, to capital weaponry. They use projectiles out of pure energy to hit the target and cause destruction. The projectiles have a higher penetrations as beam weapons using the same amount of power. This comes from the compression of energy into small projectiles. Melee weapons have an activation button, to activate energy pulses around the blades or whatever form the weapon is. The pulses causes touching matter to melt or at least heat up considerably, this effect is used to cut through many materials like iron and steel for example.
The Ryana possess an energy shield, which scales with the supplemented energy. Having the potential to shortly boost it's power, the energy drawn will increase at an alarming rate. While normally sturdy it might be necessary to sacrifice one or more energy modules to buy enough time to make the jump to hyperspace.
While possessing the ability to create biological weapons, the Ryana refuse to use it after the desaster in the last great solar war.
The control of most of the Ryana technology is only possible with their genetic code and their brain waves. This was introduced due to the incidend with the 8th planet. Most of their technology uses their brainwaves as control, or in other words thoughts. This is possible with a special interface, that scans the brainwaves of the user and uses these as input, just like pressing a key on a keyboard or moving the mouse. Many actions can be combined to be used with a single thought, much like an macro which calls multiple functions. This is mostly possible due to their high intellect and not something any normal human could do, with the current interface. This process enables Ryana ships to be operated by a very small crew.
The Ryana have knowledge of inefficient gravity generators, while able to simulate their normal gravity (1.34G), they tend to use quite the amount of energy and always have their own dedicated fusion reactor.
They possess large knowledge of both robotics and genetics, used to create both Edta and Tarena.
They are currently developing a transpotation technology to transport matter from a ship in orbit to the planet below. However there are several problems that need to be solved as neither is the location right (most matter materializes inside walls or the ground or high in the sky), nor is it guaranteed that the matter reappears. Currently 95% of the transportet matter does not reappear, making the technology extremely dangerous, unreliable and expensive as it uses large amounts of energy.
