Jinx Haven
“
Look at this pretty little freckle. Mind if I have a taste.”
Jinx giggled as she sat on the pillows, nodding at the tan black-haired man smirking at her. Her flesh was emitting a pinky flourish as she sipped wine and looked at the three gorgeous men attending to her needs. The room was awash in light swirling cream pillars and pink and gold murals that spalshed against a warm pinky-red marble floor. Outside on the balcony there was a vibrant jungle with birds chirping and sunlight highlighting the translucent violet curtains that surrounded her. She through a grape in her mouth, standing up and walking barefoot onto the padio, her lace chemise barely hiding her bare pink form. The sun was warm against her flesh, as one of the men came over with the sun-screen lotion, wearing only a skimpy pair of boxers. He was a blonde with long flowing hair and white teeth that set off his green eyes, “
Should I help you with that?”
Jinx smiled, “
You can do whatever you want handsome.”
She giggled, walking over when another voice came from behind her, “
You shouldn't make promises you don't intend to keep cold one.”
Jinx shivered, feeling the warmth from the sun fading away, “
Not today. Please let me have this. Please.”
The room turned black and faded, the pillows fading away as cobwebs and vines crawled into the frigid space. The men fell lifeless to the ground only to turn to dust and bone. She turned away from them only to find a cracked mirror directly down the room from her. It exposed the grey-mottled flesh and bone that would be her true form. The figure behind her was charcoal black with white pointed teeth, dreads and red eyes that burned beneath the top hat and deep red dinner suit, “
Sorry dear, but dreams are for the living. I don’t think you look that bad though.”
Jinx turned kicking an empty mug goblet that once contained her delicious wine, “
You know Papa, if you weren’t so god damn condescending I would think you actually meant that.”
Legba smirked, “
I never lie child, only convey the truth differently. You do look nice, pretty as a blue rose.”
Jinx crossed her arms not daring to look down, “
Quit with the compliments and tell me what you want?”
The man smirked wickedly, “
Just too check in. You were almost buried alive today. Have to make sure my investment is still in..commision.”
Jinx cursed herself as she looked down at the bones that made up her hands, and tapped them against the faded stone, “
Nothing more then a scare. Unfortunately for you.”
“
You think I want you to die?”
Jinx turned, “
No. I think you want out of your situation.”
He moved silently coming to stand beside her, a cold wind brushing her whispy white and gristled hair across her face, “
I am in no rush. Time is useful and I have plans still unseen. Don't make as many reckless decisions. Even the undead can pass into the nether if pushed too far.”
"
Yeah yeah..Bring my boys back and piss off. I know you have the whole traveler between the worlds job, but you are really interfering with "Jinx's" alone time..and that is unforgivable, especially as you said I rarely dream. Lesson learned. Don't be such a clutzy bitch..blah blah..blah. Go away.Papa smirked shaking his head,"
If only you're rude comments didn't stand past the sands of time. Just like your father."Jinx,"
My father? Wait..Papa. You've seen him. How's he doing? Tell him I..HEY! DON'T WALK AWAAAAAHHHHHH"
Jinx jumped up in bed with a deep gasp. She stretched out her hands to see the regular bluish white colour of her skin, instead of the wrinkled and grey flesh that covered her bones. She let out a breath of relief then looked past her hands down at the sheets, as a small drop of black liquid began to leave a stain. She touched her nose, “
Shit.”
She jumped out of bed heading to the bathroom, shoving her hand under her nose to stop the black liquid from escaping. As she made it to the bathroom, she used a cloth and water to wipe away most of the blood, trying not to let it spill anymore all over Jin’s home. She looked out a window, noticing the sun was rising and the night had passed through relatively smoothly. She walked around noting Jin was nowhere to be found so she moved back to her room pulling out her charcoal pencils and graph paper. She sulked, moving out to the table and began drawing to calm down her mind after her loss of the three hotties and her interaction with Baba Legba.
