Samantha's face was dug into her hands as tears streamed down her face, only to turn to steamy vapor as they hit her very hot hands. She tried as much as she could to keep the fire from erupting again, but this strange new nightmare was practically beyond her control. It was all dependent on the woman's volatile emotions. She mainly cried about how confused and frustrated she was with this new fire power and how it had destroyed any kind of friendliness dear Evelyn ever had for her. How would she explain all of this when Sam could hardly explain it to herself. It wasn't just fire though, she found that she had formed scales along her hands and arms. These scales were deep red and shined like polished, glass stones.
As her head was buried in her hands, she heard a hard knock at her window. Samantha lashed out, yelling "
Go away!" despite it being muffled slightly. This outburst was followed by her hands springing alight again. To this Samantha cursed and frustratingly screamed as she tried to put it out. It was in this same moment that a large crash sounded as the White Supremacy's window shattered and a jacket came to smother her hands. Samantha looked in shock at the woman who had come to douse the fire. She recognized her from the place she had went this morning. This woman had stood up for her. However, that didn't make Sam any less upset at her from breaking the window. "
You broke my window!" She accused. "
Why the fuck did you--" She cut herself off, realizing the woman had been trying to be a good samaritan. Her furious expression turned to a mix of great frustration and annoyance. She know she shouldn't be mad at the other, but at the same time it was all just one more putrid turn to pile onto the mountain of shit she was having to deal with.
Samantha roughly pushed away the jacket with annoyance. Once the jacket was gone it revealed her hands without any sign of burns, blisters, or even any kind of redness, instead there was those same scales. The whole image showed clearly in the moonlight for a second before, alarmed, Samantha stuffed them behind her back. She glared at the woman outside the car as if the whole thing was her fault. "
Whatever, just leave me alone." She tried to make her voice sound firm, but there was a part that still quivered.
