Leiko Hamada- Auditorium

Drumming her fingers against the judging table, Leiko started to feel her patience wane as stragglers still appeared to be creeping in through the doors. The ten minute window she had given was stretching past its constraints into fifteen, and people were still showing up late. It was understandable to a degree; this was the first time in Warakuma High's history that drama auditions were held to this scale, so it was predictable that people would have headed straight for the club room instead. But Leiko was not a patient woman, and the more she waited, the more irritable she became.

I'd best make a start or we'll never get through these auditions, Leiko thought wryly, resolving to at least welcome the new members before beginning the audition process. Silently, she stepped up onto the stage, catching the eyes of some of the members scattered across the large auditorium as she reached the podium. Detaching the microphone from its perch, she walked towards the front of the stage, feeling the eyes of almost everyone in the room draw to her as she raised the microphone to her lips.

"Welcome everyone, to Warakuma High School's Drama Club Auditions." Her voice rang out in perfect clarity, reaching to the far ends of the room as she spoke in absolute confidence and self-assertion. "I am Hamada Leiko, the Drama Club's nominated President for this year. We will be beginning auditions shortly, but first, I would like to say a few words." She cleared her throat, taking the brief stall to ensure she had everyone's attention before continuing. "I am often told that Warakuma is not a town prized on its cultural values. Therefore, the arts are often left neglected and exist purely for recreational purposes. There is, of course, nothing wrong with this. But I would like to show Warakuma that we can find something more in the world of theatre. A way to express ourselves in ways we cannot show to the people around us. Skills that cultivate empathy, self-confidence, trust..." She paused again, feeling a slight prickle of annoyance as she heard someone yawn at the back. Possibly inconsequential, or perhaps not. Either way, Leiko chose to ignore it, instead focusing on the end of her speech as she spoke with the utmost conviction. "I am sure every single one of you have come here for your own reasons and whatever those reasons may be, I thank you for choosing our club today. I look forward to a year of excitement, creativity, surprises, and most of all, showing Warakuma that we are a club worth endorsing. Thank you for listening."

Polite clapping resounded in the auditorium as Leiko gracefully stepped offstage, gripping the microphone to her chest tightly as she felt the butterflies in her stomach finally start to calm. Delivering her speech had been more nerve-wracking than she anticipated. Still, she believed that she came across as a cool, level headed President on the outside, so that consoled her somewhat.

Sitting down on the judge's panel, she waited for the girl with the clipboard to return with the listings for auditionees. Once she did, she would announce the first person to perform onstage, and the auditions would begin.

((OOC: Just waiting for Kami here before continuing. In the meantime, auditionees, please come here to get started on your character's auditions.))

Oh, crap..That reminds me...There;s an essay writing contest tomorrow...I wonder if I'll get in.Also, is the auditorium not allowing people still? Except for peeps who are auditioning? O n O

Friends are allowed to come in for support. There's plenty of room, so Leiko won't find it an issue.
Hmm....

Sounds like a plan!

I've been back, and right now i'm getting a bad case of writers block trying to figure out what to say on this character at the moment.

That darn writer's block. Always hits at the worst times.

It depends on how Kami feels about the audition. Is he nervous? Excited? Will he remember his lines confidently or is he panicking about forgetting them? Work out your character's feelings to the situation and hopefully the words should follow.

Once you've posted that Kami's arrived, I can move stuff along. I'm gonna put Kami's audition at the end anyway, so you have plenty of time to think about it. :)

I'm jelly Kissu, that ain't kosher. Best song they could have picked.

It really was. Even the background video was amazing, showcasing Laguna kicking ass and stuff. XD

Anyway, the track for those interested.
Koshiro Hoshizaki

"E-Eh?" Koshiro was held aback as the one eyed girl shushed him with a slender finger to her lips, irking the boy ever so slightly as he shuffled his feet in indignation. He opened his mouth to complain about her rudeness, but the following question was enough to make him fall silent.

"Do you hear that knocking?"

Koshiro's boyish features crinkled in confusion, stepping forward boldly as he pressed his ear flat against the wooden surface of the door. True enough, there was the sound of someone shuffling outside, followed by a soft knock against the other side of the door. Koshiro jumped back in alarm, clapping a hand over his mouth to stop him from gasping aloud as the strange person started to speak in a childlike voice.

The voice asked if they were awake, before timidly informing them that the door was finally open. A clicking sound swiftly followed, holding true to the mysterious voice's word as Koshiro eyed the door anxiously. What did that voice mean by 'now that you've been acquainted with one another'? They had locked him up with this pirate girl on purpose? For what reason? Why was he here? How was he here? Who...?

"Rgh..." Koshiro made a frustrated grunt as he tipped his hat over his eyes, the pounding in his head growing fiercer the more he tried to search for answers. What was he supposed to do now?

Pirate Girl, on the other hand, didn't appear as anguished about the situation as he was. Rather, she seemed calm and in control, adopting the role of leader in this scenario as she rested her hand on the doorknob and asked him whether he was ready to leave the small room.

"Umm...yes." Koshiro finally agreed with a slow, reluctant exhale, lifting the rim of his hat so he could meet the girl's eye. "I suppose we have little choice...and this filthy place is starting to get to me. Lead the way, uhh, 'Kaptain'.'" It was an odd nickname for the fellow amnesiac, to be sure. Then again, considering the girl's appearance, perhaps it was rather fitting, Koshiro realized briefly before his thoughts returned to their current predicament.
That Sophie Ellis Bextor song is as relevant as always. :P

And I'm back from an amaze-balls weekend from London! I took the tube, went to the zoo, went shopping, and THEN there was the awesome Distant Worlds Concert! They only played one FFVIII song (Man with the Machine Gun) but it was still mindblowingly awesome.

But anyway back to business. Ball hype and those Syrus card skillz tho.
I'm not sure who that is, and I'm not sure if I wanna find out XD

I'm gonna post tomorrow to move the Drama thing along, so hopefully Savo will have appeared by then. >_<

You missed it when this first started. There was a ship created. A ship so massive that none could stop it. One that still roams to this day.

Nobato?

Also, I want to post but I'm still waiting for Savo >_<

I imagine Sato doesn't know anything about it, but Shakespeare's plays were done with male actors playing female roles, since, you know, women weren't allowed to act It's also something Shakespeare loved to poke fun at, since a few of his plays involved women pretending to be men (which of course meant it was a man pretending to be a woman pretending to be a man).

So Katsuro might end up seen in a maid costume after all.Cue eye gouging en masse.
