Leiko Hamada: Warakuma Shopping District At Shirohane's shy reply and confirming nod, Leiko immediately started thinking of an appropriate place for the two of them to sit down and talk more about literature. There were plenty of cafes and restaurants scattered around the district, and there was only one that Leiko normally went to. But she wanted somewhere quiet... Shirohane's following question mirrored Leiko's own thoughts, and she merely mumbled softly in approval as she looked at the areas around them. Well, there was only one place worth going... "I was going to meet up with her later anyway, I suppose..." Leiko muttered to herself, turning around and gesturing to Shirohane with a click of her fingers. "Come, I'll purchase you some lunch." --- Leiko Hamada and Kotori Shirohane: Ueno Restaurant The Ueno's were a part of Warakuma's history, or so Leiko had understood from Saya's exasperated rants when on the subject of her workplace. The exterior, with its polished oak doors and vibrant red, untarnished walls, looked classier and a cut above the other establishments in the district. It was a popular place, although not the exactly cheapest, which made it an ideal place for dating and business meetings. Of course, in Leiko's eyes, the prices were mere peanuts compared to her weekly allowance. Besides, she would be paying for Shirohane's share as well, so no objection would satisfy. Entering the building with a meek classmate in tow, Leiko thanked the waiter as he designated them towards a cosy booth near the corner, where a single wax candle emanated a warm orange glow. After sitting down, Leiko shifted herself to get more comfortable before opening her mouth purposefully. "So..." "Hama-channnnn!!" A loud, high pitched squeal interrupted the two of them as Leiko turned her head with a pained expression. She knew this was a bad idea... The sound of wheels scratching against wood followed as the mobile girl gracefully skidded to a halt before their table, a plate of beverages balancing on her splayed hand. "Hama-chan! You visited me in work?!" She let out another squeal, bouncing on the wheels of her rollerblades as the glasses on her tray clattered dangerously. Some people would certainly question why a formally dressed waitress would be allowed to wheel across the vicinity in the first place, but it was a quirk that Saya had harboured since she was young. Plus, as Saya had described it, it added to her 'cute and youthful appeal'. "I thought you were coming over later! You thought of me, wasting away in work..." Saya lifted a hand dramatically against her brow, as her eyes slowly travelled to the girl opposite Leiko. "Hmm?" Puzzlement crossed Saya's face as she leaned down and studied Shirohane's face closely. "Hmm...you look familiar..." Kotori Shirohane," Leiko supplied calmly. "Family owns the flower store." "Oh! Oh my gosh, now I know!" Saya nodded her head exuberantly, shooting Saya a bright smile. "You're pretty quiet whenever I see you in school. Honestly, I'm kinda surprised to see you with Hama-chan though. You have more guts than I realized!" "Thank you for that, Saya..." Leiko muttered under her breath, looking fairly unamused as she focused back on Shirohane. "Now, unless you intend to take our order, Shirohane-san and I were discussing something." "You were?!" The tray slammed on the table, startling the both of them as Saya leaned in intently. "What about? Is it boys?" She fixed Shirohane with an intense look. "Ooh, do you have someone you like, Kotori-chan?"

soren
Sorry Soren! Got impatient. :P Anyway, I've posted! Dooly's character hasn't posted yet so I didn't mention her in the group. And Jericho and Gracelyn are still scouting for Mars Bars, if I recall. Anyway! Post away!
As the intercom crackled to life, Mei's cheery expression faded into a stupified one as a choking sound drowned over the static. As she opened her mouth to voice her concern, a very familiar voice rang out, one that she had only just heard the night before. One that she had never imagined hearing again so soon. "Mei!? What the hell are you doing here!? The last time I saw or heard your voice you ran away from me saying you had to go!" Struck speechless, Mei's mouth opened uselessly, like a fish gulping for air, as Syrus quickly urged her to enter the building. "So it seems you two have met, hmm?" The unamused voice of her brother murmured beside her as he fixed her with an icy glare. "Fraternizing with the mercenaries? God, Mei, what were you thinking?" "It wasn't-I mean, it's not like that!" Mei whispered back, her face a torn expression of shock and guilt. "I swear, he just helped me out in Balamb. I never imagined-" Another male voice suddenly spoke from the intercom, assuming a more professional and composed tone as he replied to Mei's code word with the correct phrase that both she and Corvo had agreed upon. Once he issued the password for entering the building, Tyler wasted no time in punching it into the intercom, and shortly afterwards, an audible click sounded, confirming their right of entry. Once the intercom's connection cut off, Tyler let out a tired sigh, glancing over at his sister with a disapproving look. "Knew I should have chased after you in Balamb. You're just too damn friendly with everyone." "Yeah, well...oops." Mei's face pulled into a sheepish grin as she shrugged off Tyler's words and tugged the door open. "Look, I promise I'm gonna be professional about this, ok? You know my loyalty is to the Faction, nothing else." "It damn well be," Tyler growled under his breath, something territorial gleaming in his eyes as he followed after the girl into the warehouse, where they would meet up with the assembled SeeDs. Finally, they approached the comms room, where the group of mercenaries were gathered. Mei's eyes glanced over all of them, from the strange, boxer-like girl with a bandage on her nose, to a bespectacled guy in a lab coat and-wait, was that a Moomba?! Mei's hands clapped over her mouth to conceal the squeal that threatened to escape at the sight of the furry little thing, but a steely look from Tyler was enough to force her to keep her composure. Calmly, she looked over at the rest of the group; a scruffy, unkempt male with a serious expression, a familiar grey haired man with glasses (Mr. Duncan! Mei recalled inwardly with a surprised smile,) and last of all..a young male with flaming red hair and a long black coat. Syrus Cromwell, Mei's tour guide and dance partner from the night before. Mei cleared her throat, wringing her hands together in front of her as she felt all eyes drawn to her. "So, umm...guess that the mystery's solved now, right Syrus?" She murmured sheepishly, earning an exasperated sigh from her brother as she squared her shoulders and assumed a more professional stance. "Mei Song, member of the Galbadian Military Resistance Faction," she introduced herself with an uncharacteristically serious edge to her voice as she gestured to her companion. "And this is my partner, Tyler. We're here for the debriefing, as per the contract issued to us by your Garden. Who is the leading SeeD in this operation?"
Leiko Hamada: Warakuma Shopping District "Ahh, now we're getting somewhere." Leiko murmured in approval at Shirohane's reply, as limited as it was. " I'm not particularly surprised that you mentioned romance. Most women would say the same." She tilted her head thoughtfully as she mulled over Shirohane's tastes. "Mystery, hmm...like a murder mystery? Interesting..." Leiko fell into silence for an extended moment, her mind whirring over the possibilities in her head. She wondered briefly, how the subject of romance would fare with the club. Not particularly well, she imagined, since 80% of this year's members were male, and a same-sex match up could be very likely. Still, it would appeal to the female audiences, and it would be a unique quality that previous years had never achieved. Acting was acting, and as Drama Club President, it was her duty to push her students to their limits for their own personal growth. Feeling a momentary surge of pride, Leiko's thoughts then returned to the concept of 'mystery' that Shirohane described. Everyone loved a good 'whoddunnit' story; twists and turns that left you guessing until the culprit was revealed to be the housemaid or some hapless cop. It was a solid genre, and would definitely appeal to the more intelligent minds of the school. The more she thought about it, the more obvious the answer felt. Yes, she was getting an idea now... "Well, that was quite helpful, Shirohane-san," Leiko confirmed with a small nod and a softened look. "Despite my sudden enquiries, you handled them quite aptly." She paused for a moment, her eyes glancing down at Shirohane's empty shopping bag and then to the withdrawn girl herself. "Would you perhaps be willing to discuss your thoughts further in more...detail? I understand that you're shopping, but it would be a shame to leave our meeting at that when I'm at the cusp of the answer I'm searching for."
Leiko Hamada: Warakuma Shopping District It struck Leiko that this conversation was becoming very one-sided (an unsurprising fact, considering Shirohane's quiet 'shrinking violet' nature), and briefly, she wondered whether this was just a colossal waste of time. She figured it would be refreshing to speak to someone so detached from her friendship group, but Shirohane's response was less than satisfying. Letting out an audible huff, Leiko bit her lip in thought as she devised a way of making the girl open up a bit more. "Come to think of it, I haven't introduced myself, have I?" she murmured suddenly, aware that she had bombarded the flower shop girl with questions before even making her own introduction. "You may have seen me around school. Leiko Hamada, Class 2-1. Drama Club President," she announced the latter title with a sense of pride, squaring her shoulders as the faintest of grins painted her lips. "Perhaps you find my enquiries a bit left field. I suppose you can say I am a bit...uninspired at the moment." She let out a nasal sigh of disappointment. "It's not really like me at all. So I hoped that perhaps getting some insight from a common student would help clear this block in my head." She reached up and tilted the front of her hat ever so slightly so she could fix Shirohane's with a searching stare. "What is it you are interested in? Periodical drama? Romance? I need a focus."
Hot damn you guys. This colour claiming thing is whack. Guess I'll suck it up and claim this one then. And laugh as everyone tries to click on that like a hyperlink
**Leiko Hamada: Warakuma Shopping District** Shirohane regarded her with the usual deer-trapped-in-headlights look at first, before she rewarded Leiko's enquiry with a timid nod. The girl was infamous around school for her shy and withdrawn nature, seemingly more comfortable in her own company as she averted the large crowds. In contrast, Leiko herself was more often than not carrying some kind of posse around with her. So Shirohane's question was quite understandable. Leiko cleared her throat purposefully, meeting the other girl's bespectacled gaze before continuing. "I wonder if you can," she started, the corners of her mouth quirking slightly. "Your test scores are quite high, aren't they Shirohane-san? Not surprising, since you lock up and study all the time." She let out a thoughtful hum as her brow creased slightly. "Do you read then? _Actual_ stories, not science texts or anything to that effect. It's normally the quiet ones with the most vivid imagination, after all..." She cocked her head slightly, a hand on her hip. "Well?"
I'll wait for Soren to write a response, then I'll get Mei in and plot-style shenanigans will ensue.
Ooh, snap! Look in the IC! Lazy Kissu is not so lazy now! *Goes back to not posting for another month*
-_Sunday 12 April, 2015- Morning_ **Leiko Hamada: Hamada Residence** "You're up bright and early." The sound of juice splashing against the side of a glass jug followed the housekeeper's words as she gauged the young teenager before her calmly, a pencilled eyebrow cocking up ever so slightly. "Considering there's no school, I would have expected you to still be in bed." Leiko looked up from the table at the woman's words, her expression portraying an air of dignity despite the fact that she was only wearing pink flannel pyjamas, her unkempt curls left unattended and splayed across her shoulders. "I have things to do today," was her vague and unhelpful reply, a hand reaching up to brush some hair from her face whilst the other took the fresh glass of juice before her. "I don't have time to waste sleeping in." In truth, Leiko was in somewhat of an irksome mood. After finally coming home yesterday, she failed to get a single spark of inspiration regarding the school play at all. She would have liked to have blamed it on having to stay behind and clean up after Hashimoto's reckless behaviour, but she had stayed up for the majority of the night afterwards to make up for it, sipping chamomile tea and staring at her books until her eyes started to go square. And still _nothing._ "Well, you barely look like you've slept at all," the housekeeper replied smoothly, to Leiko's irritation as she cleaned up some plates from the table and headed for the kitchen. "I would suggest you rest up. You don't want to get sick, not when you've only just returned to school." "I couldn't think of anything worse..." Leiko answered darkly, her eyes flickering to the ceiling for a moment before looking down at her phone. There was at least ten messages unread, and she had no doubt that they were several invitations to go out. The only one that really bore any interest to her was a cutesy looking text from Saya asking if she wanted to stay over after she finished work. The way that she had written it looked so stupid that Leiko couldn't help but fight a smile as she replied back. As much as she liked to complain about the girl, she was the most reliable of her group of friends, and it was a good excuse to get her out of her house for a while. Leiko read through the other messages systematically, a bored expression flickering across her face as she replied with routine answers, declining their offers. She probably appeared cold, but she didn't really care; it was part of her image, after all. Once she was done, she snapped her phone shut and rose up to her feet. "I'm going out for a while," she announced to no one in particular, rolling her slightly stiffened shoulders as she did so before she headed upstairs to change. --- _Sunday 12 April, 2015- Noon_ **Leiko Hamada: Warakuma Shopping Complex** The heels of Leiko's boots clacked against the stone pavement as she approached the Warakuma Shopping Complex with no real goal in mind. She wanted an excuse to get out of the house to clear her head, and more importantly, to focus her mind back to organizing the school play. Some people would probably see her as a little obsessed with her duties, but that was just who Leiko Hamada was. She took her passions seriously. The day was a little warmer than usual, but Leiko still chose to wear her usual winter attire; pastel pink, woolly tights and a plain black skirt, complimented by a cream coloured sweater jacket and a black hat that was positioned to tilt to the side ever so slightly. A few years ago, Leiko would never have imagined wearing such a thing, but her fashion guru had other things to say. And she couldn't deny that the outfit made her feel comfortable and oddly at home in her own skin. As she turned a sharp bend, her thoughts listlessly trying to think of a good place to go to relax, her eyes happened on a familiar girl heading in her direction, her expression appearing to be completely lost in thought as she seemed oblivious to her surroundings. Leiko frowned a little at first at the nagging thought in the back of her head as she quickly stepped aside before any unseemly collisions happened. As she did so however, realization finally struck and she reached out to halt the girl suddenly by a firm grip on her arm. "Wait, I know you. You're that Shirohane girl, right? Your parents own the flower store." She hummed approvingly as the pieces seemed to slot together in her head. "I've seen you around school as well, I recall. We're both from the same year, correct?"
