"It's the formalities which create an air of perfection for the people to see their ruler as, I personally find it enjoyable to present myself in such a manner. You are happily welcome to visit in the future. Likely after our education or on the off season." With an adjustment of another cuff, she looked behind Haytham, just to get acquainted with other people's faces as people caught up with old friends or met the new. Like herself.

The Prince had a comment on formalities, and while Aleandra did initially misunderstand his intent, she had a bit of a chuckle as response. It did make sense that people here had some standards, why wouldn't they? Yes, this school did keep very high standards, though it was pretty perfect for her. "Ah, well if that's the case, I should fit right in. Hopefully it's enjoyable and there are some people with a sense of self earned pride."

His attitude towards the school was slightly concerning, considering a series of different things. His dislike for the school was somewhat inevitable, some people absolutely despised the school. His much lighter attitude at the moment was likely a stem of that, although his own personal formalities for introductions and impressions seemed slightly off. For the sake of meeting someone who did seem nice, she could somewhat overlook that all. To an extent, but that doesn't mean she doesn't notice it. She did seem to give a slight bit of a look to him as she eyed his clothing up and down, although that was quickly replaced with her casual smile.

"Fortunately for me, I have motivation besides impressing my people, and quite honestly you won't be seeing me change that. Pleasing my people certainty is a large part of it, pleasing my parents is equally as large." Aleandra somewhat cut herself off there, not wanting to direct the conversation to exposing a bit of her more personal problems with someone she barely just met. If her close friends rarely hear too much about her complaining, why start here? Though, starting off motivations could work quite well.

Adjusting the other cuff of her sleeve, that little habit just kicks in once more as she thinks of what to say, after getting slightly distracted for that quick second. He did somewhat reassure her that she would be doing fine here, which somewhat eased the worry that this whole thing would make her see some more inadequacies within herself. "Ah, thank you."

Haytham extended his hand as greeting, and for a split second she was slightly confused. Introducing his last name with a handshake, well. Culture, maybe, although usually the curtsy was a good greeting. It was customary for duels and sparring matches to end with a handshake, so she wasn't entirely too opposed. Just somewhat taken a bit back. She returned the handshake though promptly returning both her gloved hands behind her back. "Quite equally returned. I hope we can get to know each other better in the future."
Sorry it's a bit short, I've got a lot to catch up to.

"Hm. Don't get all fire-happy on me..."

Nova tapped her fingers together, before lowering her hands with a smile. It all seemed pretty weird seeing everyone like this up here, somewhat coincidental? Maybe things were just setting up for something much larger. Maybe. She seemed a bit suspicious about it all, though didn't pay too much attention to everything out of her control. Of course the weird attracted the weird, that's to be expected. She did have quite a bit of fighting energy, cracking her knuckles per se, with the gauntlets on.

"If you wanna test these abilities out, let's see if there's anyone who's willing to fight us. We've got two junglers and three midlaners." The girl took a deep breath, then exhaling as she looked up at the sky. It seemed like it was getting a bit chillier, uncharacteristically for this time of year. Why in the hell was it getting cold? She took a deep breath, not being too bothered, though to be comfortable she had to take a few breaths.
Terribly sorry for not replying yesterday, I've been stressed the hell out due to this new computer Im building making me wanna shoot myself on the stomach and bleed all over the God damn motherboard, but yknow, it's getting there. I'll see if I can reply in the afternoon

"I think we're done here, Synce?"

"As far as I can see." The blonde turned to her older maid with her hand extended off to her sides, shifting her gaze off to her own dress as a final inspection. At this point, she was just doing her final touch-ups as was Valera, off to her rear checking up on the rest of her dress. With a slight adjustment for the cuffs of her sleeves, Valera spoke up. "Completed here, my lady." The younger maid stood up, as the two both went over for another visual inspection of Aleandra's clothing. First impressions always mattered, and the particular mannerisms for this venue had to be kept up if Aleandra were to keep up her attitudes on the rest of nobility and herself. She had to be conducted in a proper tone, why wouldn't she? Setting a precedent for herself kept the bar high.

And that's why she's been here in the first place. Keeping the bar about 7 feet in the air and hoping she could jump that far. Aleandra's gaze shifted to the windows as she mentally prepared herself for approaching whoever she would meet there in the hall and the courtyard. She would have to keep up appearances no matter what, even if she did run into her friends. She did wish to talk to Rhelissa, it had been quite some time since the last verbal exchange the two had. As for Anareliea, well, not here likely. Not in public, their conversation would have to happen in private, for an assortment of reasons. Mostly impressions for the both of them, and then of course the privacy of having their conversations alone would have some reassurance for honesty and transparency.

Brendan. Another name that stuck out, neighbors who were acquainted. He did seem nice. Other than that, her limited experience out of the kingdom was somewhat restricting, with not too many times to meet other people than she already knew. She would like to meet some others, though quite honestly she was expecting nothing but stuck up entitled brats. In her opinion, those people were just the worst form of royalty, and her own pedestal is only so high up due to her expectations for them. Unfortunately, few of them actually hit that bar of holding that form of standards. It was quite irritating.

Ydrian, well. They were somewhat cut off after the past few years, whether it was unfortunate or not. Again, limited experience out of the kingdom, leading up to only her older brothers commentary about a lot of people. Knowing him and their differentiating ideologies, "impressive" and "friendly" could mean some assorted things, considering his tone. She wasn't all too worried, but from experience by Anareliea, people change. But impressions matter, and she was somewhat hopeful that all her childhood friends were at least good company.

All in all, she would have to be ready for all sorts of people. Despite knowing she wouldn't blend all too well with a large chunk of the people here, Aleandra knew that she had impressions to make and that mask of hers to keep up. It was basically defining, and she had no intent on breaking face. Absolutely none.

Aleandra took a deep breath, turning to the door. After her few seconds in her own thought, thinking about how everything was going to be, she stepped forward. Valera proceeded to open the door, where Ser Calisone was promptly awaiting her to escort her into the hall. "Are you ready, My Princess?"

"Yes. I'm hoping not to get into a duel on the first day, but it would make quite the impression to win a duel first day.” Aleandra smiled softly, looking up to her guard.

“That might be unwise, especially on the off chance you might lose.” At that slight comment, Aleandra’s facial expression shifted, though she knew Calisone only meant well. She did tend to get fired up in duels, a slight part of her perfectionist personality, taking pride in her blade. So she figured, with a deep breath, that if all went well, she could prove herself eventually. Socially, she needed to prove herself now.

’Ever Diligent, Mask Up.'

While the Grand Keeper’s speech was a bit drawn out, it had intent. Other than setting the scene for all the students, it gave them reason to be devoted to this cause, despite how they might feel about this school. Some despised it sure, but the man was quite serious about everyone here being the future. And that, set something to be known about how the conduct here was to be played out.

It's as if he were trying to put some form of faith into these people where they could create a better world for essentially all nations united, a quite beautiful goal for inviting the future. She wondered if he was serious about him being welcoming, many people said that without meaning, and only to keep appearance. Aleandra didn't know which one she was most times, but she tries to be as welcoming as the Grand Keeper was.

Ah yes, what a better tone to start the year off. Nothing less than perfection at this stage, as Aleandra took her slow pacings around the hall. Calisone wasn't too far behind, as she searched for the familiar faces of those she knew. And of course, those new who she hadn't been acquainted with. First impressions mattered, with her hands behind her back and searching around for her old friends. Anareliea and Rhelissa were both in conversation, somewhat unfortunate in the case of the latter, though this gave her more opportunity in the case of everyone else.

With Brendan out of view, she couldn't seem to start that conversation up to properly meet him as he truly was. Somewhat unfortunate once more. As she contemplated looking around for Ydrian, another boy gave her a bow, returned by a curtsy. Only a proper greeting for the time and place.

He spoke up as if he didn't want to be here. Perfectly fine, Aleandra might have preferred it back home, but here was her best shot at both the throne and enhancing her standing. “I enjoy it so far. The standards allow us to strive for better while we attempt to impress our people. If you have an expectation of me not aiming to please my people, you're talking to the wrong person. Thank you for the advice though.”

With a gentle smile in return to his, she attempted to lighten up her attitude slightly, in order to spark up some form of connection between the two. He seemed to be a bit more relaxed than she was, for some relatively obvious reasons (the most prominent being Aleandra herself). He didn't seem to care all too much about being casual, referring to as Miss, which gave Aleandra some indication as to what kind of person he was. It's only a matter of time to see whether or not he sees himself as high and mighty, and that would determine the two’s relationship.

“Aleandra Pridedane. It's a pleasure to meet you, Haytham.” With a small nod of the head, she looked back to Calisone, who stood a few feet back as not to seem intrusive of her matters. Adjusting her cuffs was a slight habit she has in the middle of conversation, hoping to get somewhere with it, if gave her a second or two of thinking time. “Is it that rare to find someone who enjoys formalities? Or just finding someone who enjoys this school?”
Oh yeah, absolutely. Don't stress yourself out about really anything if you can avoid it!

"It doesn’t matter who your parents are, if you don’t have the honor or strength to uphold your legacy then you’re a disgrace to the name. Make something of yourself."

Standing at an absolutely average 5’5, although short for her lineage, Aleandra has light skin to suit the tone of her ethnic background. Her left shoulder has two scars from a training mishap with swords. With blonde hair lighter than the usual psudo-gold, partially braided down the back under most circumstances, and her hazel-gold eyes, she seems to fit the characteristics of Tromani in most aspects. She has a bit of a medium build to herself, keeping herself to those physical standards. Her generic combat clothing is seen in the photo above, with her armor being varied and mostly being put straight over that outfit.

More casually, that outfit is the general basis of what she wears, changing depending on necessity. She usually wears sleeveless tops with detached sleeves, sometimes meshing with gloves and sometimes with separate, and tries to find a balance between elegance and combat practicality. Without gloves, she usually wears an assortment of rings of various styles. She has a golden sword-pendant she wears at all time, a small protection charm she says.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
On the outside, Aleandra has the characteristics of a relatively reserved perfectionist. She’s highly critical of other people's performances and attitude, much more in her own. Despite being born into power, she has little to no respect to people who believe that they deserve power simply due to lineage. She has the strong belief that people need earn their inheritance by contributing to the legacy of their parents or upholding the standards given to them by their name.

She has high standards for herself for several reasons. Her own personal drive to keep up her family name. Her parents having high standards since her childhood. Her kingdom being relatively young. A lot of it stems from trying not to bring disgrace to her family, her house words giving her the spirit to uphold. That interpretation, along with her parents early teachings about respect being earned, is something she constantly says to her to keep that attitude. “Ever Diligent, Mask Up.”

The last part of her small little motto is her own personal reminder. It’s a bit more than just creating her own honor by following in her parents legacy, it’s a reminder that her internal feelings should come a bit after her attitude of perfection. That’s where the ‘reserved’ part comes in, she tries to hold back a lot for the sake of seeming more eloquent and precise, also attempting to keep up the attitude of diplomacy which comes with heritage.

On the inside, Aleandra has some issues not keeping up to par with most of her skills. Anything less than perfection creates an internal anger she has for herself. She already experiences this quite a bit, seeing other people gifted in certain aspects and constantly comparing herself to that. She has a lot of willpower to snap herself out of it, though tends to distance herself from everyone else to give herself that moment to calm down and relieve her stress. This usually happens only after a highly ‘disappointing’ performance or something along those lines. That being said, she’s a bit uncharacteristically aggressive for her family, under the mask at least.

Aleandra speaks up her mind, however, willing to speak up to her peers about her feelings on the nobility or others. Being one of the key things she sees in nobility, she’s honest to people’s faces whenever she hears or sees something that she doesn’t like, although does ask before hand under most circumstances. Most. The moment she doesn't means one of two things. One, she’s being casual enough around the people she’s talking to. Or two, she’s getting really irritated. She may step out of line on the account that she’s just human.

Beyond all that, Aleandra can be friendly and casual like anyone else. Of course, not while she’s trying to be all too professional and whatnot, but she can lighten up to other people if more than possible. She wants to, she truly wants to get close to people either within her house or within the other kingdoms, though morals first for her. And that tends to screw her over many times.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Aleandra was the second born out of the four children. One older brother and then the younger twins. Being second to the throne behind her brother didn’t inhibit her, as her parents made it pretty clear to all of them their key intent. They taught the four that despite them being born into the royal bloodline, none of them truly deserved the throne to be inherited. At least, not of yet. Since her younger years, they made it a point to properly educate the four siblings in etiquette and general studies. This didn’t entirely prevent them from being treated as royals by those below, they were just taught in the pride of nobility.

So there started the idea which they had to learn their place in life, whether that through skills, learning, or simply impressive standing from the children’s outward appearances. The King and Queen were strict, however, in making sure they learned proper behavior, and in respecting all forms of nobility. Aleandra had a bit different interpretation of this from her childhood.

Somewhat seeing her older brother take some favor from her parents due to him being the first born, and the twins being much younger, Aleandra took some offence to this. He was given some more lessons with less strict lessons in morality, given more travel time, etc. The two weren't as heavy when it came to standards as they were pretty young. Her response to that? A slight inferiority complex in reference to most of her academics and relations, somewhat shifting her attitude. She pushed herself pretty hard, and tried to keep up the honorable mask.

Despite what she thought about her parents, they gave the four a deal. When they grew up and were to inherit the land, whoever was the best suited would become ruler. That may have amplified Aleandra’s constant desires to become better than she was at the time. It was when she was twelve when she was presented with that deal, already given some classes on swordsmanship, and the past four years have been her trying to get ahead and above her siblings.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
Firstly, Aleandra wishes to carry herself with the same honor and legacy as her parents hold. Comparatively to her siblings, and with her parents deal to the four, Aleandra wishes to top them all. She is driven by that deal they gave, trying to the the best that she possibly can be, willingly entering the academy with high standards in mind and hoping that this would boost her standing. She strongly believes that she should earn her own nobility and back her name properly, fueling her through schooling.

”My parents haven’t chosen yet. That means I have to keep up the standards they give me and exceed them. This school helps."

Diplomacy: ”Diplomacy is always the best way to go through with interactions with other nations and nobility. It gives a respectable art to talking out large problems, and historically has worked countless times in bringing people together. It’s the best way to create bonds between people which keep them unified through the test of time and circumstances. History and my parents made a great point about diplomacy and I intend to keep it.”

Faith: ”There aren’t too many visible applications for belief in religion other than keeping up physical appearances within the people. I do suppose that unification under religion creates some forms of unity, and that is to be appreciated. Learning about religious history is also interesting."

Intrigue: ”People all have different quirks and things that make them tick. While I’m personally interested, to an extent, it has a huge application for Royalty and understanding people’s true intent. It does help with politics. I would like to learn more about the art of people, as being able to understand subtle hints is prevalent in any strong ruler..”

Magic: ”The Magics have always interested me, it has many applications and should be taught to us Royals to give us another level of skill. There’s a lot of respect you can give to basically any King or Queen who can give off an air of perfection, Magic is just another application of that. It seems so elegant, so powerful, majestic, all qualities of a proper upperclassman and even more in nobility. While I currently own no magical items, It’s a bit of a dream of mine of owning a slightly imbued sword.”

Martial: ”The art of combat has always been a key part of any ruler. Being able to defend yourself is beyond important for the obvious reasons. I enjoy the art of swordfighting and if I can help it, I would like to defend myself from monsters or invasions. My parents did have me educated in wielding a sword. On top of that, if you want to be a proper ruler, why would you ignore being well versed in combat? Your generals or high commanders may have the tactics and knowledge to rule your army or defense forces, but you’d be a fool to keep that power only in their hands. Knowing when to replace them also helps.”

Stewardship: ”While not entirely my strong suit, mathematics and finance is important. In the long run, it will indeed help the kingdom become stronger as its allies have. I strive for success in every aspect that will keep up my family’s legacy.”

Ser Calisone: Aleandra’s primary guardian, a man about 5’9 and in his thirties with brown hair and well kept facial hair. One of his main duties other than protecting Aleandra’s well being is bringing along her rapier and gauntlets in the event she needs to defend herself past his own capabilities. His second is keeping Aleandra out of some trouble she might get herself into through aggravation to some other royals or by pushing herself too hard physically.

Valera and Synce: Two maids which attend to Aleandra in most general categories. 17 and 21 respectively, both are sisters to each other. Both of them were brought into her house as maids a few years back, and Aleandra has had their assistance in adhering to the high standards she puts up for her own physical appearance.

[ ♚ ] R E L A T I O N S
Princess Anareliea Ayelet Hulevia of The Imperium of Gaealia - A slightly unfortunate case of childhood friends somewhat gone astray, Aleandra sees her attitude now as somewhat worrisome, conflicting with Aleandra's morals of nobility earning itself a spotlight in history. The two used to be closer during both of their childhoods, though shifts occurred to them both. Now with her overwhelmingly pretentious attitude, Aleandra finds that her once friend is not as close as they both were years ago, though she respects her friend enough to not call her behavior out in public conversation.

Prince Brendan Ophelius Tromvara of Tromania - The two's first impressions weren't outstanding by any measure. The two are somewhat acquainted through familiar relations and things of the sort, though haven't had too many heart-to-heart conversations. Considering their closeness by physical borders, Aleandra shares his desire to become more aquainted.

Princess Rhelissa Sevareviel Fel of Aladore - During a small little week long festival, after going through all the motions that were required and expected of her, Aleandra was introduced to Princess Rhelissa when expressing her own kindness ease the other's suffering in the blazing heat. The two of the meshed pretty well, having discussion after discussion that entire week and exchanging letters through the years. The two of them share similar morals and Aleandra appreciates Rhelissa's dedication to studies.
