As a meta-note, age should be somewhere in the 13-16 range. This academy whilst it can last well into adulthood tends to start admission at the age of youth to best allow them to comprehend knowledge and wisdom. Think the equivalent of the American High School freshmen at an average age (13-14) though individuals can vary speculatively.

Here is the list, please note which two are your PRIMARY TWO ATTRIBUTES BY UNDERLINING and give one or two sentences describing their interest and/or experience in them to justify them.

Diplomacy: Your character is possibly charming or well-minded towards politics and likes to solve problems with words! Neat!

Faith: Theology sure is fascinating! Your character is fascinated by the disappearance of their god, Gaea.

Intrigue: Your character knows how to find out little things about other people and might be a good spy. They are cunning and clever which aims well towards other kinds of politics!

Magic: Your character wants to learn magic! Duh!

Martial: You are either skilled in combat physically or mentally! Tactics, Duels, Brawls, and Strategy seems to be your character's thing.

Stewardship: Your character loves mathematics and finances; or maybe they just love having lots of coins!

As a Prince/Princess can have a group of NPCs that come with you, but not too many. It is likely you have one sworn sword (aka guardian/protector) and a few servants. Describe them in as much detail as you want. You get one of each by default (a maid and a knight-- remember here it is Ser not Sir!)

"The tyranny of others is to be expected, so you should become one to protect yourself from them."

[ ♚ ] N A M E
Princess Rhelissa Sevareviel Fel of Aladore

[ ♚ ] A G E
14

[ ♚ ] G E N D E R
Female

[ ♚ ] I D E N T I T Y
Aladori

[ ♚ ] A P P E A R A N C E
Rhelissa is on the short end of height equivalent to her ethnic background and gender at five foot even. Her skin is light, possibly paler than others due to the mountainous environment of Aladore and her preference for indoor tutelage but she has been one to go outside so it isn’t simply a complexion born of a recluse. She has irises born of burgundy and her long raven black hair gives her the impression of a girl of aladori descent without much dabbling in other ethnicities in her genetic ancestry. In addition to her physical appearance Rhelissa tends to gravitate towards practicality in her dress thus wears simple yet still elegant gowns of dark colors such as ebony, charcoal, burgundy, mahogany, midnight blue, and ash. These are generally accent by simple silver accessories (sometimes with jewelry enhanced with sapphires or emeralds) such as tiaras, bracelets, lockets, amulets, and rings.

Rhelissa has a thin, modest albeit attractive appearance that seems to be seen as fair to many suitors though few seem to court her for very long as they lack the nerve to “handle” the princess herself. It is often said that her quiet, darkened appearance in combination with her posture and almost smoky mood often seems to attract others as her aire of ambiguity tends to interest many.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
“This girl is as cold as the north wind.”
—Ser Jraoth

Many words have been said about Princess Rhelissa as a person and interpretations vary from person to person with some finding her alluring, pompous, crass, honest, quiet, and harrowing. Though the actual girl on the inside is much more complicated then such beliefs of her character suggest.

At the center of Rhelissa is a girl who refuses to trust others and lives by a philosophy that to protect herself from tyrannical actions and intent is to become tyrannical in turn. In many ways this falls into her safeguard and her shield to guard her emotions, insecurities, and fears from others. After all, a princess doesn’t allow others to concern themselves with her misgivings especially when she needs to look strong as a future ruler of her kingdom. This does sadly translate into a young woman who acts detached from others emotions which does strengthen the perspective that she is a pompous and insensitive individual. Though, if you asked Rhelissa it is likely that she prefers to be seen as such instead of weak and easily manipulated as it is what she sees as the alternative to the image she has defined. If someone were to gain her trust it would take much weathering of her perspective and even then Rhelissa would likely not admit it or even acknowledge that it has happened because if she were to trust she would be betraying what she has seen firsthand— she would never break her vow to never forget what she knows people are capable of and how insidious they truly are.

Beyond that, Rhelissa’s traits extend to her introspective and quiet nature though it is clear that does that mean she is particularly shy or unsociable. When she has one of her “moods” she can be excessively abrasive, crass, and blunt— especially if out of earshot from those who have right to scold her for it. She knows her station and will consistently remind people of the cold pragmatic truth of a situation in what she views as a sincere truth as she believes coddling their delusional fantasies of the world will only result in their own misfortune. But then again if it is misfortune that individual wants disguised as ideals, she’ll gladly let them have it but will keep a strong superior sensibility in her mind when she is proven right.

However, her crass and blunt honesty does not mean Rhelissa isn’t sympathetic towards others. She wants to ensure harm does not befall others like she has seen despite themselves possibly being potential enemies or rivals, but given her trust issues she will never open up to them unless given ample reason to due to her doubts of what such heartfelt weakness could bring. Princesses do not show weakness, give opportunity to be manipulated, or make true friendship out of naïve ideals— that would be the doom of them. Such sympathy goes towards other ways, although subtle and sometimes insular. She always treats her servants with at least enough respect that they deserve as fellow humans, but if she has wronged them would not be in mind to apologize. Perhaps this is an obsession on “appearing weak”, but despite this she is not dark-hearted in reality and when she overhears the words people say about her she does not bear them without sorrow. She doesn’t want to be thought ill of, but she cannot let people know how it affects her. Not ever.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Rhelissa Fel is the heir to The Kingdom of Aladore. The daughter of King Thaviorn II Fel and Queen Jaenalia Vauxdvihl, Rhelissa was named born four and ten years ago in Ebonheart Keep.

Growing up in Ebonheart was bleak but not suffocating for Rhelissa, though many nobles in her position may have felt such. As the child in a kingdom that held succession laws of absolute cognatic nature she knew from the onset that unlike so many other princesses she would be sitting in the throne should the time come where her father was incapable of holding it even if her mother birthed a son subsequently. A rare succession policy compared to Aladore’s neighbors. But Rhelissa thought little of it, for it was the way her nation had always been and it wasn’t seen as abnormal or strange by any definition.

Rhelissa’s was always a quiet child with few friends and companions; she didn’t care to interact much and instead preferred reading books of various scholars ranging from subject to subject; generally aladori in origin. These generally gave her a perspective of her cultural and historical heritage that she found fascinating, especially those that were beliefs written about the warring kingdoms era where aladori were not only at the throats of the forloni in the south but their brothers and sisters with petty kingdoms plotting to discredit, manipulate, control, and conquer their kinsmen because they felt they could not be trusted; a paranoia that seems to have been injected in the aladori since their creation. But young Rhelissa didn’t see it as delusional cowardice but rather overzealous cautiousness; a trait initiated out of precaution and earnest protection. She found it interesting how by the time Gaea willed the human world to be united there were only five aladori great houses that succeeded— House Fel, House Marlowe, House Taake, House Thorne, and House Vauxdvihl; with her house being the most powerful of them all. She wondered without Gaea’s guidance when the five houses would plot against each other again if they already weren’t.

It was then she began to see the value in alliances through marriage and resources that bonded others such as her mother’s marriage to her father thus ensuring peace among House Vauxdvihl and House Fel… in theory. Her father’s tutelage about how the world will come to exist without Gaea’s return framed a lot of her theological and political views as well as made her understand that she had to know people to predict them. If she needed to be a master of shadows and murmurs to do so, she would become such. Still, courtesies and manners were not something Rhelissa wasn’t educated upon; after all, she was still as much as a princess as she was an aladori. But beneath all the smiles and fragrances there was an untrusting scowl underneath it all in truth. The words “trust no one, not even your friends” would become concrete upon her mind; especially after experiencing an attempted seizing of power by her father’s brother, Rhoric Fel, when she was ten years old. This would give her the comprehension that humanity was factually changing and it was not simply cynical theories and that anybody could succumb to greed. She watched her uncle’s execution with her own eyes as he father drove his sword into his chest.

Her original sworn sword, Ser Jraoth, died in the battle against her uncle and was subsequently replaced by a younger more able knight. Ser Lucaren— a man who was only eight years her senior. The two with a lesser age gap found each’s company appealing and relatable. Lucarn was the son of a duke in southern Aladore who served well against unrest, monsters, and the occasional accursed beast that came from the accursed ruins. As she continued in her studies, her new protector refined his swordplay underneath the commander of the royal guard hoping to be able to protect her in case anything like the coup happened again. Rhelissa found it amusing and “quaint” how noble and dedicated he was, but she still didn’t trust him. She was at the point beyond trusting anybody.

A few months ago it was decided that Rhelissa would continue her studies abroad at the Imperial Capital— at the renowned academy known as The Conclave. She looks forward to it, but cannot help but fears for her father’s safety with her away.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
The Conclave is the greatest academy within the greater realm and despite a culture that is vastly different than her own, she agrees with her parents that it is the best route to continue her education in political, military, and magical study. Compared to some princesses she feels rather ambivalent towards being “sent away” as it is a practical and logical choice given the situation. She is the heir to a kingdom and has no room to worry about personal misgivings. Does she love her parents and want to spend more time with them? Of course she does. But this is important.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: Rhelissa knows that words are more powerful than sword in certain scenarios and was taught the proper courtesies, manners, and behavior that is expected of her but she doesn’t have much stock in them compared to more practical sciences.

Faith: Rhelissa’s father was cynical, albeit sympathetic toward the faith whilst Rhelissa’s mother Jaenalia Vauxdvihl, was deeply religious though sorrowful as she believed that Gaea had been struck down by another god or worse abandoned them when they needed her guidance most. It is due to this that Rhelissa’s beliefs in theology is minimal as she feels whatever did happen it won’t matter in the coming years.

Intrigue: Rhelissa’s people are a cautious, almost paranoid sort and her father was no different in painting how the world will work if Gaea remains silent which he fears is the truth. It was here that he taught her to never trust anybody and to look out only for her own interests— benevolence and honor are good traits for a tromani who has nothing to fear from its immediate neighbors, but during the warring kingdoms era it was said that other petty kingdoms of Aladori descent did everything they could possibly do to usurp Aladore and Aladore had to react in kind.

Magic: The population of court wizards in the known world is quite small, but Rhelissa’s father was quite tenacious with educating his daughter in the art of magic. Aladore’s court wizard for the majority of her childhood was a high elf named Pòl. Whilst not a student under Mathis Thornwell, Pòl was a master of elven magic who had helped Mathis Thornwell learn the possibilities of magic and was one of his most trusted companions during this time. Pòl was admittedly cynical and pragmatic thus his education of Rhelissa was similar. However a few months ago Pòl was called back to his homeland due to a “crisis” and suggested to Rhelissa’s father to continue practical studies at The Conclave.

Martial: Rhelissa has never been cut out for martial training due to her short size and stature, though she has taken to at least knowing how to wield light weapons to basic utility— after all, it could save her life if a coup were to transpire or a group of monsters ambushed her on the imperial highway. Given that archery is her people's own true martial expertise she looked to familiarize herself with that as well as spears due to her meekness. Rhelissa isn’t talented in this field, but she knows it would be wise to nurture this skill in the future. She prefers the bow to the spear.

Stewardship: Rhelissa would like to understand logistics, mathematics, and the way to manage a kingdom’s economy knowing she will have to sometime in the future. She’s better in understanding math then she is wielding a spear and charming people, at the very least and given her nations lack of superfluous wealth compared to nations like Tromania and Forlonia she has known to be content and frugal for most of her life. How she continues to develop her knowledge in this regard will depend on how she develops as a noble at the academy.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
Rhelissa has an entourage that includes a sworn sword who was knighted by her father named Ser Lucarn and a small handful of servants including her maid, Guinevere.

Ser Lucarn: Two and Twenty years past his nameday, Ser Lucarn is a young and handsome knight of aladori origin that sits at around five foot seven. He is Rhelissa’s sworn sword and protector as a member of the royal guard. His earnest dedication towards Rhelissa is definitely going to be tested at The Conclave. Though if his feelings are more than protective remains to be seen. Rhelissa considers him an ally.

Guinevere: One and Twenty years past her nameday, Guinevere is the central maid of Rhelissa’s servants at The Conclave. A lowborn without any noble house, Guinevere is optimistic for her status and ethnic origin.

[ ♚ ] R E L A T I O N S
★★★★★ Princess Aleandra Charlottian Pridedane: The Princess of Vespira and Rhelissa were once introduced during a gathering that required all of the royal ruling families to appear in Hulevia, some combination of a tournament, festival, and feast for some sort of superfluous celebration. At the time Rhelissa was dreadfully bored and wasn’t a fan of the hot sun she was forced to bake under; it was then that Princess Aleandra offered her parasol given she was more familiar with the southern summers than Rhelissa, which sparked pleasantries. The honorable sort of kindness of tromani nobles had been something she had heard but never witnessed firsthand until that day. Somehow Aleandra and they carried conversation well through the week that the entire celebration took place and somehow Rhelissa’s manner of talking or thinking didn’t scare her off. Rhelissa continued conversation when Aleandra wrote to her on occasion. She had never had many friends in her life so this was quite new. Though she could never really trust her.

★★★ Princess Anareliea Ayelet Hulevia: The god-obsessed daughter of the late Patriarch, and a colossal pain. For Rhelissa, Princess Anareliea has been one of the more grating encounters of her dalliances with southern politics with constant zealous rantings about how humankind has become faithless, conversations that Anareliea only wanted to have with herself, and the anticipation to what she could do with the imperium when she succeeds her father. Rhelissa has admitted that Anareliea sometimes has a point and her religious dialogues being fascinating, but outside of their equal interest in magic she isn’t sure much of their “relationship” is favorable. She’s decidedly neutral on her and likely that will not change.

★★★ Prince Brendan Ophelius Tromvara: Rhelissa once met the young prince of Tromania when she was younger at an imperial ball of which she had little interest to involve herself with. The ever curious prince had been making the rounds of introducing himself and interceding in several conversations and Rhelissa found him troublesomely interesting. Herself still a young girl also found his more amicable personality and golden appearance attractive though she worries that he will get himself manipulated or murdered in the future if he has not changed since.

Prince Edgar Kazimir Marlowe:

★★★★★ Prince Ezran Selran Taake: The Prince of Darkthrone was introduced to Rhelissa when she was eleven years past her nameday, in a way to get warm relations going between the two aladori kingdoms— though even despite her young age, Rhelissa’s calculating mind caught wind of what was going on in the background. If Rhelissa and Ezran were to marry the child of their union would inherit two kingdoms thus opening up a whole new central power of humanity as well as the political games leading up to it. Not content to be used as a pawn she told Ezran what their families were plotting to see his reaction. Ezran’s denial of his knowledge of House Taake’s part of the scheme amused her and she found it endearingly cute. Rhelissa considers herself “friends” with Ezran to this day and would be lying to herself if she didn’t find him oddly attractive despite his meek nature.

★★★ Prince Maco Subdar Queon:

★★★★ Prince Seldo Leonine Forletus: Following the Coupe of 563, Rhelissa’s father began to strengthen his political efforts including by inviting House Forletus for a month vacation from their shores during the chiller climate of the northlands during the summer season. It was during this time Rhelissa became acquainted with several nobles of the house including Prince Seldo. Logical, witty, and actually intelligent the young Rhelissa couldn’t help but find him fascinating and his company “tolerable”. They shared many conversations for this time and Rhelissa found herself being distracted by her childish attractions to the amber-haired prince. Seeing him again after three or so years will be distracting, but pleasantly so.

★★★★ Princess Telaivas Telamonius Turanis: Rhelissa spent one year starting in the harvest season in the Kingdom of Xahria by her father’s request when she was three and ten years past her nameday though she now realizes that was to prepare her for southern politics when he would transfer her to The Conclave for further education. Whilst she was in Xahria as the ward of the King of the nation she found herself involved with his daughter, Princess Telaivas. Mischevious, cunning, and a master of whispers and sublety she was introduced to how things worked in the south and despite her better judgement accompanied Telaivas in her childish games. Perhaps Rhelissa had some childish fantasies of her own, but a connection was made though she was initially the subject of Telaivas’ eccentricities. She considers her a friendly acquaintance of sorts as she had spent a year with the girl in shared residence.

★★★ Prince Ydrian Kareth Hawkhart: Rhelissa’s never met the man but if his reputation is to be believed she is not looking forward to having the opportunity. She is not to be slobbered over like some dog.

She looked rather frail being rather slight of frame, as if the slightest touch would turn her to dust. Being barely 156cm in height, or around 5'1" only served to to strengthen that illusion. Though that illusion will quickly shatter should she actually drop her facade. Upon her left hand is an elaborate locket with etchings so fine it looks almost organic. Inside is a picture of her mother, and the back is adorned with a deep blue gem that would be recognizable as a focus stone to those trained in magic.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
To those who barely knew her, or even those who had known her for years but not seen her without her constant facade, she seemed to be a well mannered princess trying her best to be good princess, being well groomed, well spoken, as well as elegant and demure in all things. A facade for the public, to boost her image, and lower people's guard around her. Every move would be calculated, her voice controlled subtly, and even some of her mistakes were played to her advantage.

To the few who knew her personally and had seen under her facade, she would be that girl with a devil-may-care attitude with a penchant almost bordering on obsession, of manipulating people and events for her own amusement. Not that those few would ever bother to interfere; her half-sister dotes on her a lot, her personal maid is firmly in her control, and the few servants who did know stayed silent in fear of punishment.

She is happiest when things go her way, and dourest when it does not. But rarely will she ever show those emotions, unless she can take advantage of it in some way.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
For most of her childhood, she was sick and bedridden, with her half sister constantly worrying about her, and after a few years, her personal maid, just barely older than her, started to worry about her as well. She envied her sister, for being able to do everything she couldn't, and soon burning hatred of her developed. It soon petered out into acceptance, where boredom instead started to consume her days. It was then that she started to ask her maid to bring her any news or rumors to her ears. For a while, that sufficed, until one day she decided that it would be more entertaining if she tweaked some information. After all, it made for a better story to listen to.

Every story or rumor that came to her ears, she would try to manipulate it further. That young farmhand that was trying to date two girls at once mysteriously met the other while dating one, that supposed haunted house was suddenly reported to have lights burning in it and mysterious shadows flitting here and there, that one pig showed up to her father's tea time dressed in a gown. While a few found out eventually, she was never revealed to be the culprit, with her sister keeping it secret thinking it was just a phase, and the servants being too scared of revealing the princess' secrets.

Eventually her father got hold of a magician that cured her, and those sort of activities stopped with only the occasional animals showing up very well dressed in odd locations. Her training and grooming to be the next heir began in earnest, as she finally got her wish to be able to do everything her half sister could. However, due to her past condition, she never really got much in terms of physical training, with most everyone fearing for her health if she even tried to get up on a horse by herself. While she was disappointed she couldn't really be as swift and strong as she wanted to be, she was grateful that she could finally get somewhere on her own. Though limited to her own castle, it was miles better than being cooped up in a single room.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
Eventually, her father decided she would have to go to the academy. Her new thirst for magical knowledge was getting stronger, and the mage they got declined to teach her more advanced techniques, saying she should instead get the best teachers at the academy. Her father agreed. After all, having more teachers opens up one's views more in his opinion.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: While she does know how to keep low and ingratiate herself to other people, she could hardly be relied upon to persuade anyone to do anything they won't do with speech alone. Much less trying to negotiate anything with anyone, noble or not. Certainly not at the moment.

Faith: Not her field of interest to be sure. Only passing knowledge of this, and only because she needed those for her hobby.

Intrigue: Manipulation of information is easy enough; all it takes is the right words whispered into the right ears. While her only interest in intrigue is manufacturing events for her own interest for now, she wasn't above tweaking things just a little to get herself a little helping hand.

Magic: Having been saved by magic herself, she became interested in it immediately. For others it may not seem like a big thing, but when the bedridden child found herself walking on her own with the help of magic, it was hard not to feel awe. For now, she wasn't particularly skilled in any sort of magics, but she did have a flair for making magical items.

Martial: While she had gotten better from her illness, she did not magically sprout pecs the size of mountains and started swinging around a giant hammer. They did try to teach her some martial arts, and she did try to learn, but her body still could not keep up with any rigorous activities, so they eventually gave up trying to teach her martial arts, and focused on tactics and such instead. Not that she learned much, considering her teacher was an old man who constantly barked about how he did this and that when he was younger.

Stewardship: This was something she really disliked. Money was great, and she loved having more of it, but managing finances and balancing those were rather boring and tedious. There were others she could push to do them.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
Ser Aivas:Her half sister, though none beyond Telaivas, her father and her own personal maid knew of it. She was considerably taller than her sister, standing at around 175cm, or at around 5'9", with jetblack hair and darker skin. Fiercely protective of her younger sister, as her younger sister was of her, though for probably different reasons.

Frua:A silent girl who served Telaivas and only her. Standing at just about 10cm taller than her mistress, with hair just a shade darker than hers, she had served Telaivas ever since Frua had been picked up from the gutters as an orphan.

A company of servants: A group of servants whose sole purpose was to make her life comfortable. Woe be upon them should they not do their job.

[ ♚ ] R E L A T I O N S
Princess Anareliea:Ah, the princess. One who had visited from time to time, during balls and parties Telaivas' father hosted every now and then. Perhaps that time she tried to stuff a live frog in Anareliea's cupboard didn't go well, but at least now they had some common ground. Magic, magical theories and applications. They weren't that close, but hey, a contact is a contact. She could come in useful in future after all.

Princess Rhelissa:There was a brief period of time when this girl actually stayed with her. She can't really say much about Rhelissa, but she did manage to persuade her to go along with her tricks. Not a partner in crime, but a good acquaintance nonetheless, one that she had brought along multiple times to multiple schemes. Perhaps not one she could trust her secrets to, but she was getting there. Of course that was quite some time ago, so who knows how much the Princess had changed.

Like most of his kind, he has blonde hair and blue eyes with not even a small pigment coming from other ethnicities. He actually looks younger than what he actually is but it doesn’t seem to bother him all that much despite all the insults hurled at him. Especially since he's only five foot five, and doesn't look all that muscular. He also has light skin, however, he is slightly darker than most of his siblings considering that he's mostly outside, covertly analyzing what is happening out of the castle.

He has a burn scar in his left hand and is the main reason why he wears gloves all the time. His dress code is usually his princely attire and despite looking very uncomfortable and impractical, he carries it just fine and he is able to move just fine in it. However, he can be seen not wearing that and only just a formal looking coat, a casual undershirt and slacks. Most of the coats he owns has his family crest stitched as if to remind everyone of his status as a prince.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
Brendan is often referred to as “The Rogue Prince of Tromaria” and for good reason. He is something akin to a free spirit despite being a price mostly because he doesn't have much responsibilities as a last born of 8 children. He would often leave home for days at end with his combat maid to inspect the kingdom he is living in covertly or even going as far as visiting another kingdom without prior notice to both his siblings and the rulers of the neighboring kingdom. He is very curious about his surroundings, the differences of each kingdom and races’ cultures and the differences between the life of a royal and the common folk, social statuses and such. However, as much as he enjoys time outside, he also spends equal time inside, studying about economy, mathematics and anything related to finances as he wants to at least be if service to someone once he grows old, even if it's just a mere instructor or advisor. He truly does have an interest in the subject anyway, and also possesses natural intelligence to get such complex things at such a young age. Memorizing things comes easily to him as well, already learning three languages at his young age.

Brendan is ambiverted. While he can be social, most of the time, he's content with staying quiet and listening to others. However, if faced with a quiet type, he would often strike up a conversation if he feels like the other person is up for it. He's good at picking up signals and acts carefully around others. Although he is a prince, and normally a prince knows how to assert himself, he has trouble actually speaking up just to avoid conflict as he says that it drains his energy reservoir. While a lot of people think that Brendan is easy prey and they could use him, it's actually not very easy. He is aware when he is being manipulated and will stand his ground when that time comes. He is also very passive about things, insults just bounce off of him and he doesn't react too much when he's complimented.

He hates boredom over everything. Given his interests in others, he just loves seeing other personalities of people. Even if they're rude or kind, narcissistic or humble, everything is interesting to him. He likes the idea of everyone being unique and is the reason why he likes hanging out with other people in other kingdoms. It is also the reason why he has grown tired of hanging out with his siblings once they had been attending lectures more frequently. His siblings were losing their individuality, hiding themselves behind a wall of steel to become great rulers. They had become uninteresting. Don't mistake me, he still loves and respects them but he just doesn't find their company to be more worthwhile than just simple family get togethers. It's also obvious whenever he feels like he is growing tired of something, and admittedly, he grows tired of most things very quickly. But if he doesn't, it means that he'll stick by it until the end.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Brendan is the last born out of eight children, six of which are male and the other two are twin females. Because he is the last out of all of them, he wasn't too important and so his parents never looked at him as either a son or a political tool. He was placed under the care of his aunt who also had a daughter born at the same time as him. Brendan and his cousin, Rivellia, grew up with each other but the latter was but a mere servant to the male but became his best friend nonetheless. He was a smart child and understood immediately why his parents never actively sought out for him. He didn't feel sad about it though, as he couldn't care less by that time.

His siblings were kind to him, often playing with him when they have the time. However, as years pass by and the lectures became heavier on their shoulders, they soon stopped coming to him to play leaving the young one by himself. However, even he grew tired of his siblings as they grew older. Rivellia also had training to attend to leaving Brendan by his lonesome most of the time. His parents gave him tutors, yes, but they were only for etiquette and things he grew tired of quickly. He instead spends most of his time inside the library, learning about the different cultures of the kingdoms around the world, economics, the races and history.

Once he had reached eleven years of age, his father had unfortunately died from an illness and his mother also died from food poisoning. The culprit was quickly found to be one of her jealous sisters who sought for the king's hand before. And so his eldest brother, King Isaiah Tromvara had assumed the throne. He had also married a Forloni princess. It was then that he had expressed to his brother some things he thought of to build safer trade routes and who they should improve their relations with. To be fair, his brother was rather impressed with what he was saying and said that he would keep it in mind.

And so when Brendan had requested his brother to give him a tutor, Isaiah replied with making the court wizard teach him the ropes. He had started with basic fire and basic lightning spells. However, at one time, something had gone wrong and Brendan had accidentally burnt his left hand. It had gotten better as time passed by, but it left a nasty mark and Brendan's not too fond of showing it to others. After a while of this, he had asked his brother once more if he could accompany him to the Divine Well. King Isaiah once more had agreed. When they got there, however, instead of just looking at the Well, he had actually dove in. After being reprimanded, Brendan had told Isaiah that he did it for his magic studies.

It was when he was twelve when he had started sneaking out of the castle to observe the commoners, it was also the time when Rivellia had finished her training and thus can accompany Brendan wherever he wants to go. While his house does value everyone, commoners and nobles alike, they don't really go down to the commoner houses too much since they're too busy with everything else that's happening. So he wanted to observe what it was like when the rulers don't come down too much. Unsurprisingly, the commoner's were living quite happily. He noticed that not many had recognized him as the last-born prince without the coat that said it. Years passed and he visits other kingdoms more frequently while not saying anything to his siblings. They don't really mind him going out, as long as he didn't do anything that would ruin relations with said kingdom.

Now, sixteen years after his birth, he would enroll in The Conclave where he could further enhance his knowledge and have fun along the way.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
His brother, the current king, had always noticed that Brendan was gifted when it came to studying, especially in finances. Wanting to help his brother, he suggested that Brendan should attend The Conclave and when he finished, he would have a job waiting for him. Brendan was more overjoyed by the fact that King Isaiah had noticed his efforts than going to the school. He also wanted to learn more about magic, healing magic to be precise.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: Brendan was never assertive enough as a person so he's very weak at persuading people with words. He's more of a follower than a leader despite being a prince. However, if he knows some good points (especially in the field of finances), he would put it up there and then let the person decide whether he'll follow or not.

Faith: Brendan wasn't much of a believer. But unless it's proven that something else led to the peace between all kingdoms, he would still acknowledge Gaea as the one who did it.

Intrigue: He's a very patient person and if he is curious, he will continue to ask until he gets his answer. However, he can pick up on signals (especially aggressive ones) and knows when to stop lest he wants his head to roll off the block. If he really puts his head into it though, he can get information from people easily.

Magic: Magic is something Brendan is especially interested at. It's the only thing he requested his brother to tutor him and he got his wish, a court wizard was ordered to teach him at certain days. It wasn't too long until he had managed to learn the basics of lightning and healing magic, but he's more interested in the latter as it can help people.

Martial: As a prince, he was thought self-defense. He had taken up swordplay and archery but not more other than that. He relies more on basic magic and his personal combat maid to protect him. But if both fails him, he has the failsafe of knowing how to wield a sword and a bow.

Stewardship: Having both the natural aptitude and interest in the field of economics and finances, Brendan is practically assured to be in this field. While not really liking too much money, he wants to keep the kingdom going and thriving. As boring as the subject may be, he just has a natural affinity and is drawn to it.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
Rivellia: The only person he brought was his cousin and combat maid. She is of Tromani and Aladori descent, having a braided blonde hair and stands at around five foot four. Rivellia was born around the same time as Brendan so the two practically grew up with each other. She's the only one Brendan can fully trust and she is fiercely loyal. Brendan also affectionately calls her ‘Flare’ because of how she’s usually quiet but when she’s in complete bodyguard mode, it’s like she changes.

[ ♚ ] R E L A T I O N S
Princess Aleandra Charlottian Pridedane Of Vespira - Brendan had met her here and there considering that they're from neighboring kingdoms. He sees her as interesting, just like most people. They are mere acquaintances though so he's looking forward to talking with her more.

Princess Rhelissa Sevareviel Fel of Aladore - He had met the stone cold princess when he was young at an imperial ball. He was told that he should at least introduce himself to some people so that others would actually know about him. He wasn't too famous with them after all considering the fact that he only seldom went to social gatherings. He had briefly talked to Rhelissa before he was pulled away by his father to talk to some other noble. He is impressed with how... should we say, formal, she was when they had talked. He's looking forward to how much she changed over the years.

Princess Anareliea Ayelet Hulevia of The Imperium of Gaealia - Brendan had been dragged to too many festivities because of his brothers' absences. Unlike before, he had stuck by one place until he had heard murmurs from other nobles about a person named Anareliea. Interested in these rumors, he decided to approach the two nobles and they explained to him her reputation. This was an opportunity Brendan could not pass up. He had actively searched from the princess and engaged in a conversation about Gaea with her. She had tried to explain everything to him, however, the time was too short and they had to separate. After hearing that she was attending The Conclave, he looked forward to talking with her again.

Prince Ydrian Kareth Hawkhart of Kalcia - Brendan had met this particular flirty person when Prince Isaiah had been crowned King. As per tradition with most of the Tromvari houses, Ydrian and his family was invited. He wouldn't have met Ydrian if he hadn't started speaking to his cousin, Rivellia. He had apparently found her attractive and after speaking with Ydrian, he started to find him interesting as well. His confidence and flirty attitude was something Brendan actually found refreshing. A breath of fresh air, one could say. And when the party was over, the two had started exchanging letters.

Prince Prometheus Artemis Blackwater - Brendan had met Prometheus when he was young. Having been brought along for a diplomatic meeting for reasons he was not able to fathom, he was bored out of his mind. Being restless, he slipped out of the meeting and headed out. He hadn't heard much about Blackwater, to be honest, so he was more or less interested in seeing everything. What he did not expect was meeting another person. He had struck a conversation with him and was quite surprised to find out that he was one of the princes of the kingdom. They had talked and became friends. Brendan kept in touch with him through letters but after he had reached thirteen years of age, he had lost contact with the prince. Wanting to know what happened, he had travelled to the kingdom once more and found that Prometheus acted differently. Brendan didn't approach Prometheus or anyone from the royal family and left without a word.

Ezran

"Look alive."

[ ♚ ] N A M E
Prince Ezran Selran Taake of Darkthrone

[ ♚ ] A G E
16

[ ♚ ] G E N D E R
Male

[ ♚ ] I D E N T I T Y
Aladori

[ ♚ ] A P P E A R A N C E
Like most of his house, Ezran is a grim figure. Pale, lithe, with hair the color of his long shadow and eyes like burnt gold, his regality is easily recognized. His clothes are a mixed of sharp, dark finewear, draped over in furs, heavy black pelts shorn from the hides of great beasts, to accommodate the north-eastern chill, as well as lend an imposing air.

Though most Taake men tend to grow thick, wiry beards, Ezran is yet bald-faced, with features leaning him more towards femininity than his family might have hoped.

On tradition, all of the Taake family, as well as many of the most revered nobles of their court, carry beautifully crafted blades as signs of status. Ezran is no exception, and he carries a bastard sword at his hip. The blade is stained nearly white, the hilt wrapped in tight black leather with a round pommel at its base. Doubtless the least embellished sword in the Taake family, but no less a respectable work, its proven to hold its own and present a fair challenge in combat.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
The Darkthrone people are, by and large, a mirror of the land they inhabit. Harsh, unforgiving, and cold. This is exemplified by their royalty, the Taake family, who have long governed with a hard, yet just, regime. The Taake’s command respect from their people through strength and unbreakable will.

And so, a meek child, who strays towards anxiousness, constant indecision, and self-doubt, would represent the antithesis to their family’s idea of a proper heir. Ezran would be hard-pressed to disagree, and yet the description fits him perfectly, a fact he is made constantly and consistently aware of.

Because of this, Ezran came to understand that he best served his House in silence. He had no knack for speaking to the vicious whirlpool that was the Darkthrone nobility, every word from his mouth only promising further condemnation. This habit has stuck with him through his childhood, and to this day he remains a young man of few, albeit carefully chosen, words, preferring to listen.

At least in one area crucial to his role he was not a failure. Ezran took to the sword young, and he took to it well. His father spotted this eagerly, quick to ensure that his son’s as-yet one redeeming talent would be fostered properly. And thus swordplay became as therapy to the boy, rousing his mind in the mornings and easing it of troubles at night. He could trust a blade in his hand, another limb, practically, and perhaps the truest way for him to feel “safe” in a home that, for all he could see and hear, did not want him there.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Since the first of their name, Taake kings, queens, princes and princesses have all been figures of strength and terror. They suffered no cowards, no insults, no weakness, their house was stronger for it. A common tale among the Darkthrone people is that Taake infants are born silent, and nursed in the cold of their lofty keep.

Then came Ezran. Despite his father’s best efforts, he could do little to quell the rumors that spread within the confines of his court. In hush they’d say Ezran wailed so loudly at birth the queen’s ears bled. They’d say he could not bear the cold as the Taake’s did, and that when he crawled onto his father’s throne as a child, it had struck him ill out of spite.

Though little of this slander reaches the common folk, few among the Darkthrone nobility believe Ezran a capable ruler, now or ever. Some call him “Ezran the Coward”, others, “Ezran the Cursed”. Either way, the fact that King Taake has all but ceased attempting to silence such venom and the noblemen spreading it speaks, even in silence, to his stance on the matter.

Ezran did much of his growing up around his uncle, Yvoddan –or as he came to be known, “Vodd”–, a man Taake to the marrow. He found no warmth in Vodd, but a frigid care and protection. Alone Ezran would enter a room to narrowed eyes and sneers, but trailing his uncle’s thick coat, all eyes would be down, all expressions statuesque.

In addition to Vodd, the boy spent an equal amount of time in lessons with his father’s First Knight, Ser Mara. Warmer than Vodd, but tough enough to assert that she was his teacher before she was his friend, Ezran was always eager to train with her, to spend hours learning and hours later practicing. It was through her he gained his proficiency with a blade, and towards his departure for the academy, his first shred of self-confidence.

In the lulls between lessons and accompanying his uncle about his duties, Ezran spent much of his time holed away in his room, avoiding the harsh eyes that lurked throughout Darkthrone Keep.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
A myriad of reasons led to Ezran attending the academy. Some regarding a need to learn the intricacies of ruling, the ins and outs of diplomacy and the talents required of a presentable, noble king. Others leaned towards his lack of confidence, something he’d heard his father once call “a death wish for Taake’s.” Initially initial hurt, he agreed.

And yet, despite a sound case for departure, there was, concealed from him, darker stirrings. The king’s complacency for his son’s shortcomings was at first merely the topic of gossip, but as Ezran grew from a frightened child to a poor heir, this gossip, some say, began to blossom into a much more malicious form.

Perhaps safety played a role in this decision as well.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: As stated, Ezran only tends to speak casually around close company, and is reserved in most other situations. Understandably, this leaves his knowledge in the art insofar as politics are concerned, rather slim.

Faith: Neither overtly devout nor heinously sacrilegious, the Taake’s faith has diminished over the rule of the current king. Ezran grew up with only basic knowledge of Gaea, and came to understand that his family had begun putting more stock in the self than what he’d heard any a time called “a silent god”.

Intrigue: Ezran learned over the years that his uncle was feared for many reasons, one of which being his cunning nature. He learned from Vodd a great many sly things that some might consider sinister, even if he seems naïve to their underhanded nature.

Magic: Perhaps the subject in which Ezran is the least knowledgeable. The Taake court was home to few magically-gifted, and fewer who would voluntarily educate the prince. When Ezran showed early interest in the blade, king Taake all but forgot any need to teach his child the arts of magic.

Martial: Over the years, swordplay has become Ezran’s truest source of comfort. Trained by the king’s most trusted knight from his earliest interest, his proficiency for combat, both physically and mentally, is doubtless his greatest strength.

Stewardship: Ezran doesn’t pretend to be a mathematician, or to understand the economy of his land. However, he’s forged at least a modestly logical mind from his uncle.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
Yvoddan Taake: Ezran’s uncle, and without a doubt, the most feared man in Darkthrone Keep, if not the region as a whole. A warrior in his early years, now gray and boney yet no less intimidating, Vodd is a shrewd diplomat that has not ceased to leave dismay in his wake, despite having long since put away his violent past.

He stands at around five foot seven, with a face of sharp edges ending in a thick, tapering beard. Though age has turned once proud scars ugly, one feature that has not changed from his youth are his eyes. Violent emeralds deep enough to invite caution to those that meet them, yet sharp enough to stand out in a crowd. If Vodd turns his eyes upon someone, they are generally aware.

He travels as well with a relic of his past years, a flamberge nearly as old as himself, only in far better condition. Around Darkthrone keep, he'd often carry it in ceremony, and while some of the quietest whispers doubt his ability to wield it any longer, none have dared to question him openly.

Ser Mara: Not a royal, not even a noble, but King Taake’s First Knight nonetheless. At Ezran’s behest, Mara regaled the young prince with many a story of how she clawed her way to Darkthrone Keep. A fierce warrior, even now at fifty years, she insisted on accompanying Ezran to The Conclave. Allegedly Vodd had a hand in convincing the king in allowing this, but he allowed it all the same.

Not quite as tall as Vodd, but still an imposing woman of muscle beneath black plate and fur lining. Her armor includes a helmet, but she tends to forgo it outside of large-scale battle, preferring the allowance of vision. As far as armaments go, she carries a longsword at one hip, and a curved dagger at the other, her combative style generally utilizing both at once.

The sword, engraved as "Blind", is seldom drawn in public; the Taake Court has even adopted a saying for the white-steel blade. "Noble Mara draws it for two reasons, once to clean it, and again to bloody it."

[ ♚ ] R E L A T I O N S
Princess Anareliea Ayelet Hulevia: Ezran met the young lady of the Imperium only once, and while he marks the encounter as at least being relatively harmless, he found himself off put by her all the same. The Taake's have slipped from devout faith, a fact he feared was starkly apparent. He bears no ill-will towards the girl for her arguably zealous beliefs, and can even respect such devotion. That said, he isn't eager to debate theology with her, or even voice his own views, uninformed as they may be.

Princess Rhelissa Sevareviel Fel: Ezran did not meet many members of royalty from outside of Darkthrone, less at his own will than his father's. Visitors were like breaths of fresh air, even if he didn't always interact with them, their presence was appreciated. Rhelissa he remembers well, and fondly all things considered. Cold but lacking his family's directed harshness, younger yet incredibly knowledgeable, and, importantly, interesting to listen to. She had once mentioned to him a suspicion of a plot between their parents, a union of houses in marriage, and he was quick to voice his doubt. Perhaps in hindsight there was credit to her theory, but he maintains, at least in his mind, that his father would sooner throw himself from the keep before marrying him off as he was.

Prince Ydrian Kareth Hawkheart: Having never met the prince of Kalcia, Ezran has only the words of his uncle to form his opinion upon. They share similarities in age and a practice for swordplay, which he finds somewhat worrying, as he's heard customs often favor establishing oneself through duels, a prospect Ezran is none too keen on.

"True power is attained when there is no one that you fear."

[ ♚ ] N A M E
Prince Seldo Leonine Forletus of Forlonia

[ ♚ ] A G E
15

[ ♚ ] G E N D E R
Male

[ ♚ ] I D E N T I T Y
Forloni/Tromani

[ ♚ ] A P P E A R A N C E
Seldo stands at 5’6, on the taller end of his fellow forloni, but on the smaller end of the rest of the world. What he lacks in stature, though, he makes up for with a hawk-like gaze. He has clear, sharp eyes that can be either intimidating or charming at his desire. He has been described as handsome, but that is merely expected of royalty with a full staff of servants devoted to maintaining one’s appearance. He has a slender build, and is not very muscular, though he is very quick.

Seldo has a sense for fashion and takes good care of his long, amber hair, changing the style frequently to match whatever extravagant clothing he happens to be wearing. Likewise, he likes to wear rings with large gem stones to show off his wealth to the rest of the world.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
Seldo is ultimately a man of worldly desires. He loves his position as a prince. He loves the power, the luxury, the privilege… and he wants to keep it. While he is not an unkind or unpleasant person to be around, Seldo is always looking out for himself. He is the kind of person who will only perform an act of “altruism” if he has a favor already in mind.

Seldo is a judgmental person, choosing his company carefully, and shooing away those he does not wish to be bothered by. Even among his own family, he deemed some of his cousins too stupid to have around, and feigned illness rather than associating with them during family visits (Ah! How convenient the word “indisposed” is!). However, he understands the importance of loyalty, and once he makes a friend, he will not break that friendship without good reason.

His sense of humor is best described as “dry.” He has an appreciation for wit and a distaste for idiocy. He’ll take a clever joke over a bumbling fool for his entertainment any day. He enjoys competitive sports like jousting, or intellectual games like chess, but has never enjoyed “silly” games that are often played between drunk family members. His appreciation for art does not go beyond its monetary value, or his personal aesthetic tastes.

Despite his good looks and fashion sense, he is actually rather poor at courtship. His family has already introduced him to several potential suitors, but more often than not they bored each other. He is also not very good at dancing. Sure, he learned the steps, but his movements are stiff and calculated. It doesn’t help that the sound of an orchestra puts him to sleep.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Seldo was the second born son of King Leoris of Ferlonia. He lived a comfortable and privileged childhood, effectively given free reign to pursue whatever he wished. The only requirement that were placed on him was that he pursued something. First he tried art, but his sketches were, frankly, laughable, even for his age. Then he was given access to the library and a private tutor in the hopes that he could become a scholar… but the boy just couldn’t sit still. He would always run off and watch the knights train, so they decided to put a sword in his hand, and found out he had a knack for it.

His circle of friends as a boy was always very small, though he always gave the impression that it was the most desirable circle to be a part of through sheer confidence and indifference of what the other children were doing. When he was in the company of younger children, he realized how easy they were to manipulate. They would scamper about performing all kinds of tasks for him and pampering him, just to earn the right to hear his “secret.” Of course, he never formed any lasting friendships with those stupid enough to fall for that trick.

His best friend as a child was actually not a noble, but a squire. They would often be pitted against one another during their swordsmanship training. Most of the other opponents would hold back, but this boy was the first human who ever dared to strike the prince. His trainer laughed, saying, “On the battlefield, only the strong have authority. Now get up and go again.” The two proved to be worthy rivals for one another, both in swordsmanship, and in chess. The squire was frequently invited to the castle to entertain Seldo, and reaped the benefits of nobility while Seldo reaped the benefits of having a real friend.

Then, Seldo’s older brother fell ill. Not even the best medicine could save him, and he passed away. Just like that, Seldo became the crowned prince.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
Seldo was already a teenager by the time his brother passed, well beyond the appropriate age for primary education and the preening required to become a king. He was a talented young man, but he didn’t know how to rule. His parents hoped that The Conclave would fix that. They hoped that he would come out of there with a sense of responsibility that he never had before and would become a great successor for his father.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: Wars are expensive. That’s why it is important to avoid unnecessary wars with diplomacy. Seldo was taught that the key to successful negotiation is obtaining what you want without giving away anything that you need. Seldo sees Diplomacy as a tool for gaining control over others. If you can offer them something that they need, then you have that much control over them. This results in a prosperous and secure kingdom. While he was never put in a position of authority to negotiate with other kingdoms, he is quite a persuasive young man and has the wisdom to see things from others’ perspectives.

Faith: Faith is but a tool for controlling the masses. Gaea has been silent far too long to be of any consequence. But, if thinking that their god is on your side will calm the people or rouse the military, then have them believe it.

Intrigue: Information is invaluable, no doubt; wars can be won or lost with information. Knowing how to keep an open ear, whom to speak to, and how to speak to them are all skills a leader should learn. More importantly, though, a ruler must know how to assess the reliability of information and how to act on it.

Magic: Magic is a fickle thing. It is new, untried, and unreliable. Having a working familiarity with what magic is capable of is important for military matters, but a king need not know how to weave the spells himself. That’s what a court magician is for.

Martial: No one fears the wolf because he has fangs; they fear him because he uses them. A strong and active military is necessary for the security of the land, both to protect its borders, and to attain what it needs to survive. One reason that Seldo has been sent to The Conclave is to learn advanced tactics and strategies, to learn the ins and outs of military operations, and to improve his own martial prowess. Seldo has already demonstrated a keen mind and an aptitude for the sword. He has fought in several practice matches, but remains untested in a serious duel.

Stewardship: It is important to learn enough about coin to understand how your economy works and to conduct an audit on your books, but rigorous bookkeeping tasks are best delegated to others.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
Ser Boldwin: He’s nine and thirty past his nameday, but if you call him an old man, he’ll knock you on your ass to prove just how wrong you are. Boldwin serves as Seldo’s personal bodyguard and swordsmanship teacher. He is one of the few people the prince truly respects, and one of the fewer people who’s not afraid to tell Seldo off.

Catalina: Nine and ten past her nameday. Seldo’s personal maid. She is a timid and diminutive girl who keeps to herself and does what she’s told. Seldo doesn’t like knowing so little about her, but he can’t deny that she does good work.

Orchid: Seldo’s personal stylist and fashion advisor. While Catalina does the mundane cleaning and whatnot, Orchid is always keeping an eye out for what’s in style. She styles Seldo’s hair, picks out his outfits, and even has skills as a seamstress to make him custom attire for special occasions. She is a vibrant and talented woman that keeps her prince looking good!

[ ♚ ] R E L A T I O N S
Sister: Princess Silenia Anne Forletus, of Forlonia. Seldo got along well enough with his sister when they were children, but as they grew he came to find her ideologies rather naive. So, as Seldo grew older, he drifted apart from his sister, rarely socializing with her unless he was obliged to for appearances. He bears no ill will towards her, and would gladly come to her aid as her closest blood relative, but he considers their relationship an obligation rather than a choice.

Cousin: Princess Anareliea Ayelet Hulevia of The Imperium of Gaealia. His opinion of her can be summed up as follows: "Hmm, she was that girl that likes Gaea, wasn't she? Like really likes Gaea. I wonder how she's doing..." Anareliea never really made it onto Seldo's radar when they were children, so he doesn't particularly remember their little squabbles about religion. Despite their differences, though, she is family, and it would be best if they could get along, right?

Acquaintances: Princess Telaivas Telamonius Turanis- Seldo had attended many of the parties that House Turanis threw, and had met the little princess on numerous occasions. He found her a delightful little thing, and amused himself by playing into her frailty.

Princess Rhelissa Sevareviel Fel- When Seldo was two and ten past his name day, he accompanied his family on a one-month trip to Aladore. His father wanted to strengthen diplomatic relationships with the kingdom given the recent coup, and he thought it would be a good opportunity for his son to get out of the castle and see the world. There, Seldo met Rhelissa. She didn't carry the flair about her that he usually liked the children he associated with to have, but there was hardly anyone else his age to talk with, so it was either talk with her, or spend a month in the library. Seldo was pleasantly surprised upon getting to know her, though. She wasn't like the other dainty girls, and his conversations didn't seem to bore her as they did most girls. He left Aladore with a good impression of the princess, and the two have kept in touch via letters ever since. He is actually looking forward to seeing her again at The Conclave.

Standing at an absolutely average 5’5, although short for her lineage, Aleandra has light skin to suit the tone of her ethnic background. Her left shoulder has two scars from a training mishap with swords. With blonde hair lighter than the usual psudo-gold, partially braided down the back under most circumstances, and her hazel-gold eyes, she seems to fit the characteristics of Tromani in most aspects. She has a bit of a medium build to herself, keeping herself to those physical standards. Her generic combat clothing is seen in the photo above, with her armor being varied and mostly being put straight over that outfit.

More casually, that outfit is the general basis of what she wears, changing depending on necessity. She usually wears sleeveless tops with detached sleeves, sometimes meshing with gloves and sometimes with separate, and tries to find a balance between elegance and combat practicality. Without gloves, she usually wears an assortment of rings of various styles. She has a golden sword-pendant she wears at all time, a small protection charm she says.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
On the outside, Aleandra has the characteristics of a relatively reserved perfectionist. She’s highly critical of other people's performances and attitude, much more in her own. Despite being born into power, she has little to no respect to people who believe that they deserve power simply due to lineage. She has the strong belief that people need earn their inheritance by contributing to the legacy of their parents or upholding the standards given to them by their name.

She has high standards for herself for several reasons. Her own personal drive to keep up her family name. Her parents having high standards since her childhood. Her kingdom being relatively young. A lot of it stems from trying not to bring disgrace to her family, her house words giving her the spirit to uphold. That interpretation, along with her parents early teachings about respect being earned, is something she constantly says to her to keep that attitude. “Ever Diligent, Mask Up.”

The last part of her small little motto is her own personal reminder. It’s a bit more than just creating her own honor by following in her parents legacy, it’s a reminder that her internal feelings should come a bit after her attitude of perfection. That’s where the ‘reserved’ part comes in, she tries to hold back a lot for the sake of seeming more eloquent and precise, also attempting to keep up the attitude of diplomacy which comes with heritage.

On the inside, Aleandra has some issues not keeping up to par with most of her skills. Anything less than perfection creates an internal anger she has for herself. She already experiences this quite a bit, seeing other people gifted in certain aspects and constantly comparing herself to that. She has a lot of willpower to snap herself out of it, though tends to distance herself from everyone else to give herself that moment to calm down and relieve her stress. This usually happens only after a highly ‘disappointing’ performance or something along those lines. That being said, she’s a bit uncharacteristically aggressive for her family, under the mask at least.

Aleandra speaks up her mind, however, willing to speak up to her peers about her feelings on the nobility or others. Being one of the key things she sees in nobility, she’s honest to people’s faces whenever she hears or sees something that she doesn’t like, although does ask before hand under most circumstances. Most. The moment she doesn't means one of two things. One, she’s being casual enough around the people she’s talking to. Or two, she’s getting really irritated. She may step out of line on the account that she’s just human.

Beyond all that, Aleandra can be friendly and casual like anyone else. Of course, not while she’s trying to be all too professional and whatnot, but she can lighten up to other people if more than possible. She wants to, she truly wants to get close to people either within her house or within the other kingdoms, though morals first for her. And that tends to screw her over many times.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Aleandra was the second born out of the four children. One older brother and then the younger twins. Being second to the throne behind her brother didn’t inhibit her, as her parents made it pretty clear to all of them their key intent. They taught the four that despite them being born into the royal bloodline, none of them truly deserved the throne to be inherited. At least, not of yet. Since her younger years, they made it a point to properly educate the four siblings in etiquette and general studies. This didn’t entirely prevent them from being treated as royals by those below, they were just taught in the pride of nobility.

So there started the idea which they had to learn their place in life, whether that through skills, learning, or simply impressive standing from the children’s outward appearances. The King and Queen were strict, however, in making sure they learned proper behavior, and in respecting all forms of nobility. Aleandra had a bit different interpretation of this from her childhood.

Somewhat seeing her older brother take some favor from her parents due to him being the first born, and the twins being much younger, Aleandra took some offence to this. He was given some more lessons with less strict lessons in morality, given more travel time, etc. The two weren't as heavy when it came to standards as they were pretty young. Her response to that? A slight inferiority complex in reference to most of her academics and relations, somewhat shifting her attitude. She pushed herself pretty hard, and tried to keep up the honorable mask.

Despite what she thought about her parents, they gave the four a deal. When they grew up and were to inherit the land, whoever was the best suited would become ruler. That may have amplified Aleandra’s constant desires to become better than she was at the time. It was when she was twelve when she was presented with that deal, already given some classes on swordsmanship, and the past four years have been her trying to get ahead and above her siblings.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
Firstly, Aleandra wishes to carry herself with the same honor and legacy as her parents hold. Comparatively to her siblings, and with her parents deal to the four, Aleandra wishes to top them all. She is driven by that deal they gave, trying to the the best that she possibly can be, willingly entering the academy with high standards in mind and hoping that this would boost her standing. She strongly believes that she should earn her own nobility and back her name properly, fueling her through schooling.

”My parents haven’t chosen yet. That means I have to keep up the standards they give me and exceed them. This school helps."

Diplomacy: ”Diplomacy is always the best way to go through with interactions with other nations and nobility. It gives a respectable art to talking out large problems, and historically has worked countless times in bringing people together. It’s the best way to create bonds between people which keep them unified through the test of time and circumstances. History and my parents made a great point about diplomacy and I intend to keep it.”

Faith: ”There aren’t too many visible applications for belief in religion other than keeping up physical appearances within the people. I do suppose that unification under religion creates some forms of unity, and that is to be appreciated. Learning about religious history is also interesting."

Intrigue: ”People all have different quirks and things that make them tick. While I’m personally interested, to an extent, it has a huge application for Royalty and understanding people’s true intent. It does help with politics. I would like to learn more about the art of people, as being able to understand subtle hints is prevalent in any strong ruler..”

Magic: ”The Magics have always interested me, it has many applications and should be taught to us Royals to give us another level of skill. There’s a lot of respect you can give to basically any King or Queen who can give off an air of perfection, Magic is just another application of that. It seems so elegant, so powerful, majestic, all qualities of a proper upperclassman and even more in nobility. While I currently own no magical items, It’s a bit of a dream of mine of owning a slightly imbued sword.”

Martial: ”The art of combat has always been a key part of any ruler. Being able to defend yourself is beyond important for the obvious reasons. I enjoy the art of swordfighting and if I can help it, I would like to defend myself from monsters or invasions. My parents did have me educated in wielding a sword. On top of that, if you want to be a proper ruler, why would you ignore being well versed in combat? Your generals or high commanders may have the tactics and knowledge to rule your army or defense forces, but you’d be a fool to keep that power only in their hands. Knowing when to replace them also helps.”

Stewardship: ”While not entirely my strong suit, mathematics and finance is important. In the long run, it will indeed help the kingdom become stronger as its allies have. I strive for success in every aspect that will keep up my family’s legacy.”

Ser Calisone: Aleandra’s primary guardian, a man about 5’9 and in his thirties with brown hair and well kept facial hair. One of his main duties other than protecting Aleandra’s well being is bringing along her rapier and gauntlets in the event she needs to defend herself past his own capabilities. His second is keeping Aleandra out of some trouble she might get herself into through aggravation to some other royals or by pushing herself too hard physically.

Valera and Synce: Two maids which attend to Aleandra in most general categories. 17 and 21 respectively, both are sisters to each other. Both of them were brought into her house as maids a few years back, and Aleandra has had their assistance in adhering to the high standards she puts up for her own physical appearance.

[ ♚ ] R E L A T I O N S
Princess Anareliea Ayelet Hulevia of The Imperium of Gaealia - A slightly unfortunate case of childhood friends somewhat gone astray, Aleandra sees her attitude now as somewhat worrisome, conflicting with Aleandra's morals of nobility earning itself a spotlight in history. The two used to be closer during both of their childhoods, though shifts occurred to them both. Now with her overwhelmingly pretentious attitude, Aleandra finds that her once friend is not as close as they both were years ago, though she respects her friend enough to not call her behavior out in public conversation.

Prince Brendan Ophelius Tromvara of Tromania - The two's first impressions weren't outstanding by any measure. The two are somewhat acquainted through familiar relations and things of the sort, though haven't had too many heart-to-heart conversations. Considering their closeness by physical borders, Aleandra shares his desire to become more aquainted.

Princess Rhelissa Sevareviel Fel of Aladore - During a small little week long festival, after going through all the motions that were required and expected of her, Aleandra was introduced to Princess Rhelissa when expressing her own kindness ease the other's suffering in the blazing heat. The two of the meshed pretty well, having discussion after discussion that entire week and exchanging letters through the years. The two of them share similar morals and Aleandra appreciates Rhelissa's dedication to studies.

Anareliea has the aire of an imperial princess, with a confidence that exudes every single step she takes; a fact people are quick to notice. Despite the imperium being an electoral monarchy she believes with every fiber of her being she will be elected as heir apparent by the harvest season’s end despite being so young— a trait that translates to the way she walks which causes people to notice her. Setting in at five foot seven and of a modest build with long flowing reddish locks and irises of amber, Anareliea is not the “traditional Hulevian beauty” and if not for her tan complexion would seem more like a forloni. Anareliea lacks boastful breasts and long eyelashes and she knows that while she is attractive she was not what people thought one of the most beautiful women in Forlonia and the Patriarch would create. But Anareliea knows that people will find her aura invigorating and magnetic; and she expects them to find her attractive in some way or another anyway. After all, she is the daughter of a Patriarch and the King of Forlonia’s sister.

The warmer climate of the imperial heartlands and her taste towards the modest of religion has allowed Anareliea a wardrobe that consists of ivory dresses with few extravagances— though Anareliea has a strong love for gold, brass, and bronze as evident by her amulets, trinkets, bracelets, rings, and bands. Her bracelets were forged by steham blacksmiths and enchanted by elves.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
“Sometimes I think Anareliea believes she is the reincarnation of Gaea herself.”
—Pythia Heartspire

Princess Anareliea has quite the reputation as the result of many opportune conversations and actions, though in many eyes it was anything but friendly. People have called Anareliea as a pompous, egotistical, overzealous, overtly assertive, temperamental, and a goddess-obsessed girl with foolish fantasies of an era long gone. The beliefs of such are things that Anareliea will not deny, however, stating that such truths are evident of her sins and the sins of others.

Above all else, Anareliea is a princess and expects to be treated with the respect, dignity, and servitude as such and considering she believes herself to be of imperial importance and rank this pretty much applies to everyone including nobles of great houses who are heirs of their respective kingdoms. This can come across very staunchly pompous, overzealous, and pretentious in turn but ultimately there is some truth to Anareliea’s expectations due to her particular state of birth and perspective. Perhaps it is due to the dignity and expectations that come from being raised as imperial nobility— a fact that Anareliea couldn’t escape from in her youth. As a imperial princess she was primped, lectured, trained, and educated about how she was supposed to act and damn anyone who suggested otherwise. The only individuals had right to order her around were those on the regency council, her father, and her mother. Before she was even eight years old she knew this as fact and it may have had a role in creating Anareliea’s pompous presumptions upon her inheritance upon her father’s death.

Contrary to popular belief Anareliea is not without compassion and in many ways due to her religious beliefs is defined by compassion. She gives coin out to those in need of it, invests in the betterment of others, cherishes the few friends she does hold, and cares about the consequences of her actions even though she knows she has to make unfavorable or detested actions. For people to paint her as a shrew hurts her deeply and is the second easiest way to wound her after insulting her faith in the goddess, a fact that she holds beneath a fire-like surface. For if some of her noble peers cover up how they really feel with ice, Anareliea does so with the opposite. Such temperament is also the bulk of the source of her reputation and probably the least noble aspect of her personality; a fact she so very well knows. Forged out of her disappointment towards the cynicism towards religion, Anareliea has a unrelenting anger towards the way society has been shifting and what is becoming of her fellow man as they allow their base desires and sins to run rampant— actions of deceit, greed, envy, gluttony, lust, and much more have painted her subjects with a target that she sees constantly as she wishes accursed things happen to them despite believing the goddess would not want her to give in to hate but be forgiving and noble regarding humankind even in its darkest hour. But it is hard to be perfect and there are times when Anareliea's patience breaks and she unleashes all of the fire upon them.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Anareliea Hulevia is the heir to The Imperium of Gaealia, though she is one of many. The daughter of Patriarch Theodoric IV Hulevia and Lady Lyssia Forletus, Anareliea was named born six and ten years ago in Gaea’s Gift.

As the child of the imperial court, Anareliea was raised from a very young age by the best mentors coin could gather alongside lessons taught to her by her extended family and even her parents. As the child of the Patriarch she understood that it could be possible one day following his death she could be elected to inherit his duties, responsibilities, and expectations— a fact she never took lightly, even as a child. However such expectations and tutelage never made her feel any less alone, a trait that had enveloped her following her mother’s death when she was nine years past her nameday. Why had her mother left her and how could the goddess ever so silent do so without explaining it? She took to asking questions to the local priests and priestesses who had monitored her mother’s funeral and took interest with their beautiful albeit cryptic explanations so much she started spending continuous time with the leader of the faith, The Oracle; a woman who was also her paternal grandmother, Temari Hahra.

The words given to her by her grandmother were hopeful, compassionate, and uplifting in a time of darkness— a fact that triggered a change in Anareliea that people began to notice. But as she got more faithful she also got more angry and her philosophies began veering on templar-like points of view. Despite Anareliea trying to reign her own anger in and understand the virtue in peace and kindness she soon began to realize that her discontent occurred only because humankind was failing their goddess and everyone she talked to about faith dismissed the religious truth despite it had been not long since Gaea’s disappearance compared to how long their race had existed. These were not fairy tales made to inspire or terrify children, these were scriptures of fact and they were being written off as fantasy. Some of the biggest detractors being people within her own bloodline. How dare they. Gaea had created them and requested them to work together and they were telling her that she was now mythological fiction created by scribes. Anareliea could not understand it. She wouldn’t.

As she was taught more to be an imperial princess and expanded her studies, the fire within her did not fade. She began drawing from it and unleashing it on her servants and courtiers. She began to become a zealot and a condescending noble who was above all others but god. Eventually someone close to her sarcastically coined her as “Saint Anareliea”— the name stuck though with varying effects. Anareliea ignored the childish nickname as she kept bettering herself as best as she could.

She began studying the magical sciences, political history, and the social sciences alongside deepening her beliefs. To atone for her sin of wrath she had to be virtuous where she could be. She began donating to charities and investing in people with her allowance as a noble giving her the reputation as a kind noble among the smallfolk of the imperial capital. And then eventually she was sent off to The Conclave to be taught an imperial education as well as to find a prince to marry; though Anareliea doubts there is a man able to contend with her needs, sins, and expectations.

She would be curious if the approaching new term in the academy changes that.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
Anareliea has studied at The Conclave since she was old enough to attend and has been surrounded by the best mentors in the realm and some additional ones that only she could afford. With the passing of her father, Theodoric IV, she is one of the members of her house that could possibly succeed him but until then she will remain at The Conclave as a student of the arts and sciences.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: Ranked third in her attributes despite her pompous attitude, Anareliea is good with charming those who deserve her good grace and diplomatic wit but she often is too temperamental to do this with complete grace. She wishes she did not have such sinful wroth but it is a product of one of humanity’s burdens that Gaea gave them to persevere over. After all, humankind was not made perfect. Regardless, Anareliea tries her best with courtesies and understanding political arrangements but is often times too shrewd and apathetic to consider them.

Faith: Anareliea has always been the daughter of the faith and a devoted servant of the goddess of creation herself, Gaea. Since she was a young girl she has always felt alone in the universe no matter how much time she spent with her kin, but she found solace and true company in the cathedrals of the most devout; her mentor being Oracle herself who was coincidentally her paternal grandmother, Temari. In the years since she has dove through tome after tome and every scripture or lyric she could read or hear. Faith is everything to Anareliea.

Intrigue: Politics are necessary to keep the realm under control, especially the seedier politics. But due to her overbearing personality few people trust Anareliea or her servants. She tries to find out what people know and while she is an imperial princess and possible heir people do just not announce their deepest secrets to her. She will have to get better at it.

Magic: Magic is fascinating and probably her second most interested subject. After all, she is forloni and deserves to be taught their magical sciences. She has in the past flirted with education of this manner by visits from Tiberius Thornwell in her youth, whom was the son of the man who discovered the arcane arts. She is also aware there is holy magic as well and wants to learn about it— especially if she is to be one with the goddess.

Martial: In Anareliea’s mind, the art of combat is best fit for a knight or marshal and not a lady who is going to be a ruler. Whilst the understanding of military matters might be interesting and necessary if she is to rule she would elect someone who is skilled in this form over learn it herself. Her efforts can be placed elsewhere.

Stewardship: Logistics are for commanders, mathematics are for stewards, and other sciences are for alchemists or other artisans. Outside of her jewelry she prefers to give her excess wealth to the smallfolk in charities and bounties. Coin is not important unless you are in war, are building something, or investing in someone— coin should go to the people because that is what Gaea would want.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
Anareliea has several kinsman at The Conclave, but has fleeting relations with them. The only of those relevant to her immediately include her sworn swords as members of the imperial royal guard, the headmaster of her maids named Reina, her cousin Irimina and her compassion towards avian companions.

Irimina Huvelia: Irimina is Anareliea’s cousin through her father’s brother Dhaeric, the current head of the imperial navy and one of the central members of the imperial council as they delegate on who should succeed Theodoric IV. Irimina is similar to her cousin in that she is also deeply religious though without the fire that so often makes people wary around Anareliea. She’s good with numbers, almost obscenely so— a talent Anareliea admires greatly. She is the same age as Anareliea although two inches shorter with raven black hair and amber eyes.

Reina: In many ways Reina is not just the lead servant amongst Anareliea’s maids but also her handmaiden. She handles all of Anareliea’s mundane tasks and serves without question. Sometimes she thinks Anareliea is too harsh, but understands her better than most nobles. She is a decade older than Anareliea and has rich caramel skin with raven black hair.

[ ♚ ] R E L A T I O N S
★★★★★ Princess Aleandra Charlottian Pridedane: There were many occasions during Anareliea’s childhood to meet other children though out of all of them she connected with Princess Aleandra Pridedane the most. However such strong bonds were in innocence and not as learned adults. As the two educated themselves they drifted apart though Anareliea does not feel sorrow for such. She finds her friends ideals admirable albeit different and despite their private arguments occasionally becoming volatile Anareliea has apologized every single time she has acted out of turn. Not because it wasn’t becoming of a princess but rather that she was her friend and had earned more respect than what was given. She hopes with her finally joining The Conclave they could understand each other better then they have in the past.

★★★★ Prince Brendan Ophelius Tromvara: Anareliea has met Prince Brendan in several encounters such as balls, coronations, and tournaments though most of these encounters have been brief at best; she admittedly is more familiar with his siblings. However, upon one encounter the two spoke of many things including the faith— a fact that had unsurpsingly caught Anareliea off-guard given few were interested in speaking about Gaea with her due to her ‘reputation’. She tried to explain herself in the brief amount of time they were allotted and found perhaps a potential friend who could be converted from his skeptic views that she viewed as uneducated. She looks forward to talking in a more casual setting, at least.

Prince Edgar Kazimir Marlowe:

★★★ Prince Ezran Selran Taake: Anareliea has been introduced once to the Prince of Darkthrone but otherwise he didn’t leave much of an impression due to his lack of sociable skills or nerve to interact with her beyond courtesies. She remembers him being quite shy and meek. She wonders if he has changed at all in the years since.

★★ Prince Seldo Leonine Forletus: Familial bonds aren’t necessarily favorable as is evident with Anareliea’s relationship with her cousin, Prince Seldo Forletus. Whilst she enjoys his wit and cleverness to play political games her temperament disallows her to tolerate it when it is directed at her; she abhors how his wit can turn into snark and how his cleverness translates into a “dance” of words that Anareliea cannot outmaneuver. Even if she feels he is wrong he always has the right words to prove himself right by a slight justification or cleverly-worded fact of opinion. She can never win in a debate against him and his cynical approach to religion does not help things at all.

Prince Maco Subdar Queon:

★★★ Princess Rhelissa Sevareviel Fel: From Anareliea’s perspective, the Princess of Aladore has never struck many conversations with her and when she has had her input it has been rather rude— statements such as “I really don’t care to have this conversation.” And “I’d rather not indulge with your preaching, my lady.” have consistently annoyed Anareliea. Though there is some light at the end of the tunnel despite the aladori cynicism taking a forefront in that Princess Rhelissa finds Anareliea’s religious tirades and lessons intriguing so ultimately the reception is a bit mixed. She presumes it is positive but Rhelissa’s brand of honesty irks her.

★★★★ Princess Telaivas Telamonius Turanis: Despite their relatively close locations in proximity, for quite some time Anareliea didn’t have much of an opinion on the Princess of Xahria. They have met, however on several occasions though the frailty of Princess Telaivas was an interesting manner— having been healed from magic she wondered if she had gotten interested in the studies of the newfound science. Despite the cunning and mischevious side her newfound friend had they bonded through the way magic intrigued both of them and often wrote each other over magical theory and possible applications. However despite their friendship they are admittedly not too close and don’t share much secrets outside of their shared passion.

★★★ Prince Ydrian Kareth Hawkhart: Anareliea has not had the displeasure of meeting such a vivacious swordsmen in her life and although it seems it is unavoidable she hopes that he will behave appropriately whilst within her presence. The Conclave is not his harem and she is not Prince Ydrian's harem princess.

Ydrian most certainly has the look of a frontier tromani and his charming likable nature definitely does him many favors. Ydrian’s presence is casual, possibly harkening towards the “noble fool” archetype though he likes to believe he exudes a daring persona and not an idiotic one. Setting in at five foot ten with well kempt but purposely loose hair colored a rich brown with irises of cerulean all it takes is for a ragged cloak for the handsome albeit unassuming prince to disappear into a crowd. He is well-toned and muscular, but due to his frame and genetics does not bulk to the size of a zkreli or phoeni. He holds many scars upon his back, alongside the side of his neck, and a particularly bad sword gash alongside the top of his left forearm. A fact he keeps generally covered with cloth or bindings due to his discontent toward the particular memory.

Being from one of the more rural houses he lacks a huge wealth and his appearance shows that with simplistic cloaks, base tunics and longcoats, and on occasion chainmail and scalemail armor. However due to the dangers of the wilds around Kalcia if he is about he generally styles towards a dexterous defense rather than taking the brunt of the damage. Heavy armor is slow and cumbersome. His only possession of some note is a plain iron locket he keeps around his neck— it’s significance is unknown.

“A lady is going to push him off a balcony in a rage one day. I’m afraid my son is all too willing to repeat my youthful errors; he may not be so fortunate as I to find a love to reign him in.”
—King Thoren I Hawkhart

Many could suppose Ydrian is pretty easy to read, but then again Ydrian prefers paintings over books in the first place. Though with that said there is more to the boy than perversions, curiosities, and resilience.

Ydrian’s childhood was defined by adventure, curiosity, swords, and the study of knighthood even though he never became a squire. It was here that his most positive traits were framed from an early age and as those developed while he matured never relented— no, Ydrian Hawkhart was not someone who betrayed his ideals and sense of adventure. Though perhaps he became too adventurous— a sentiment uttered by many at Hawk’s Rest as the boy came to his own as he exhibited a likability that his father held in his own vivacious youth. Developing a reputation as a senseless flirt, fool, and letch in many ways due to his attraction to the females of Hawk’s Rest and their reactions to the words he uttered to them. At his centre Ydrian does not think he is particularly lustful or debaucherously poignant but rather views himself as a honest romantic in a time where the “rules of attraction” were drawn up to prevent youthful men and women from being themselves. A fact he extends to his discontent of people who put up too many excuses and political fortifications to truly be themselves which he considers a greater sin then having intercourse before marriage.

“People should fly free.” he often recites in-between assaults by angry denizens who find him intrusive.

Truth will be told however that despite his Casanova-like reputation that no man should dare call him dishonorable in his actions— a phrase he refuses to let go without consequences brought down upon those who question his manners, ideals, and most of all his honor. A challenge to a duel is most often uttered by Ydrian in reaction to the aforementioned situation and his opponents are generally more than willing to attempt to teach him a lesson. A lesson he has never learned, apparently. In extension to his ideals and manners, Ydrian is rarely rude and tries to be tactful in his casual honesty and doesn’t utilize his “antics” in such a way that is outright manipulative; he only wishes to exchange pleasantries and make a connection with someone. Perhaps this is his curiosity evolving into a sort of wanderlust. After all, a romantic knight in a time of peace is just a loving wanderer with a sword.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Ydrian Hawkhart is the heir apparent to The Kingdom of Kalcia should his two brother’s perish or become disinherited. The son of King Thoren I Hawkhart and Queen Aurelia Wolfe, Ydrian was named born six and ten years ago in Hawk’s Rest.

The winds of Kalcia were a peaceful and idyllic outreach for Ydrian’s chilldhod, though he often found himself getting into troublesome adventures well before he was able to comprehend how dangerous the hills beyond the city itself were for any soul less alone an energetic child. To quell his adventurous spirit he was accompanied consistently by proven knights and his brothers as his father believed that Ydrian had to understand and being locked away in seclusion was only going to make him dour and even more adamant about doing what he wanted to do— the worn King would often mention House Hawkhart’s house words consistently to reinforce this fact. After all, you cannot chain down a Hawkhart in full as they will always find a way to want to spread their wings and fly free. However, King Thoren would soon realize how much Ydrian was like him in reality when he became old enough to start causing trouble beyond being adventurous and curious. A happening that would become a burden for the king and a nuisance for his people.

A very gratuitous nuisance.

In additions to his exponential growth as a swordsman and potential knight Ydrian learned he also held talents in being magnetic towards people; particularly women. Whether it was with his antics, company, or how he looked it always seemed like he could never say the wrong thing and when he did his companions wrote it off as him acting like a jester. Following his first affair with the young sister of a servant at Hawk’s Rest when he was three and ten years past his nameday a whole new world became revealed to him and the stories about his father’s “conquests” only started to make sense. For many this began Ydrian’s downward spiral that few could’ve predicted due to the fact it seemingly came out of nowhere with no pretext to really trigger the behavior. Many courtiers in his father’s court gossiped about many theories but even with nicknames such as “The Harem Prince” bothered him none. After all, such people did not know him so their belief was founded in speculative ignorance. However things only seemed to get worse as he found himself getting into trouble. It seemed the only way his father could keep him from “conquering” the whole kingdom was to have him focus solely on his martial education; though he had never exactly waned in his training, duels, or jousts.

Eventually things reached the breaking point and King Thoren decided Ydrian needed to be educated where more eyes could be on him with girls who wouldn’t let his foolish behavior woo them— The Conclave.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
His father’s words were pretty clear— either Ydrian learns some proper manners at The Conclave or he need not come back at all. He was a little hurt by his father’s threats especially considering the stories they told of the young Lord Thoren in his youth. But words were words and his father was lord of the kingdom. Besides, despite the reputation of the overbearing “citadel” that The Conclave was Ydrian was positive he’d meet someone quite beautiful there and that was worth all of his wine and paramours being taken away.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: For a tromani, Ydrian seems to have a way about the science of language better than any other of his siblings. This isn’t to say he uses immaculate words or is utterly airtight in debates— it means he is charming, convincing, and likeable or at least to the point of deception; and worst of all is that he knows it. As a fan of the more interesting gender he has wooed many in his attempts though living in a rural kingdom has its disadvantages. His father prays he has no bastards lying around.

Faith: From his perspective religious studies are dreadfully dull and pointless. The scriptures are there and god isn’t. It’s not like he’s cynical about the goddess, it’s just that outside of the words she’s left she isn’t a big player in things anymore. He did like the part where Gaea is said in the scriptures to follow your heart and find the one person you care about to be in union with. It might take him awhile to find that special someone though. It’s alright, he’s had a head start practicing in that matter.

Intrigue: Knowing secrets are nice, but Ydrian prefers people telling him them over elaborating a whole scheme to get information. If a woman isn’t interested he’ll try again but he won’t do it underhandedly like some sort of crow. In the realms of politics he imagines that if he ever inherits he’ll just hire a talented spymaster like his cousin, Aleron.

Magic: It’s interesting, but his father never had the coin for a court wizard. He supposes he could learn a thing to do if there are some alluring girls in the class to help… tutor him.

Martial: Before becoming lords, the Hawkhart’s were knights of a greater tromani house and in a line of tradition continued to this day Ydrian keeps his sword sharp and his body sharper. This is his most skilled asset even with his skills in charm and diplomacy taken into account— a fact that is clear when he goes into any mock (or actual) duels even with a little inebriation. The sword is like an additional limb and he has proven he is a better swordsman than his brothers and could be better so then his father one day. Ydrian is also a surprisingly decent brawler with a good eye and reflex in a fight; he has on one occasion beat a drunk knight after the two got into a particular scuffle over said knight’s daughter... Ydrian won.

Stewardship: The science of managing coin is so boring to Ydrian, and understandably so for someone who uses what others have saved for him in one or two ways— visiting the blacksmith or visiting the jewelsmith. He is no mathematician that much is for sure.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
In all honesty as much as King Thoren would’ve liked to, the Kingdom of Kalcia simply cannot afford to send much of anyone. He would sent his elder sons along with Ydrian had they not been important and the kingsguard is so small it is hard to really bother especially with King Thoren repurposing the bulk of the kingsguard into protectors of the people. So with one or two male servants it is with a heavy heart that Ydrian travels unaccompanied.

[ ♚ ] R E L A T I O N S
★★★★ Princess Aleandra Charlottian Pridedane: Similarly aged to Princess Aleandra and with relations between their houses going back centuries, it was no surprise the two had met prior. In the earliest moments of his childhood, Ydrian had a sort of friendly acquaintanceship with the ever so perfect princess and admittedly by the time he was ten years past his nameday he found himself to have developed his first crush to a girl through her— feelings he never admitted. He liked her company as rare as it was, but as the years went on it became evident that would be the last time he would see her as both his parents found his sudden shift towards wild vivaciousness and promiscuity as counterproductive toward further relations with House Pridedane and unbenowst to him was effectively banned from such interactions. He’s oblivious to whatever she thinks of him but is thrilled to possibly be continuing their acquaintanceship at The Conclave. If only he knew.

★★★ Princess Anareliea Ayelet Hulevia: Ydrian has not had the pleasure of meeting the daughter of the late Patriarch, but from what he knows she is a very political creature with a distinct opinion on theology that could prove difficult to deal with. However, Ydrian does not make presumptions based on gossip and chooses to take people as they actually are when he meets them.

★★★★ Prince Brendan Ophelius Tromvara: Ydrian once sprouted a friendship with Prince Brendan when he was a boy barely one and ten past his nameday during the coronation of the King of Tromania to which House Hawkhart had been invited to attend as tromani houses tended to be. Growing more confident in himself, Ydrian had taken up several growing passionate interactions at the event including Lady Rivellia whom unsurprisingly was alongside Prince Brendan. Perhaps it was Ydrian’s confidence or his wild passion that struck interest from the tromani prince, but the two did not part on negative terms and continued to talk through letters subsequently.

Prince Edgar Kazimir Marlowe:

★★★ Prince Ezran Selran Taake: Ydrian isn’t particularly sure if he’s met with Prince Ezran in his life or not, but given their similarity in ages and records as skilled swordsmen of his generation he is rather excited to meet him. Perhaps they can have a friendly duel to see which is better— aladori steel or tromani steel? wardens of the wood or frontier knights? It would be interesting to see who comes out on top in such a friendly rivalry.

★★★ Prince Seldo Leonine Forletus: He has never met the Prince of Forlonia by any margin of knowledge, though his grace and intelligence has been praised by many individuals who have spoken his name within Ydrian’s presence at imperial events. Such things are a non-factor in his wisdom of Prince Seldo and he wonders how far his grace and intelligence actually go but not in a dismissive manner— Ydrian is legitimately curious. He looks forward to meeting him at the very least.

★★★ Prince Maco Subdar Queon: Ydrian has never met the Prince of Phoenis as far as he can recall, nor has he heard much things said about him that he could have overheard. Thus he is particularly unknowing in what Prince Maco could be like.

★★★ Princess Rhelissa Sevareviel Fel: Outside of the possibility of meeting Princess Rhelissa at a gala, ball, or something of the sort it is clear that if he has met the Princess of Aladore it has been something that was so insignificant it was forgotten possibly by both of the parties involved. He of course knows of her reputation as a quiet girl with an insensitive and razor-sharp wit that intimidates many of her peers, but such gossip is something he doesn’t think about often as he feels it uncourteous of him to dally in such talks that lack honor— people are more than what people think of them. He looks forward to knowing her if she wishes to.

★★★ Princess Telaivas Telamonius Turanis: Princess Telaivas and Ydrian haven’t particularly met and all he knows is the obscure amount people have whispered in the halls of Hawk’s Rest which is nearly non-existent. So to Ydrian she is an unknown force that he only knows by name and name alone.

Maco

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing."

[ ♚ ] A G E

[ ♚ ] G E N D E R

[ ♚ ] I D E N T I T Y
Phoeni

[ ♚ ] A P P E A R A N C E
Maco stands at a solid 5'10, with his long lanky frame covered by a large white draping overcoat. Maco wears a gold necklace with a cross on it to go along with his two large gold earrings that hang from his ears. Only his left arm bears a few gold bracelets on his forearm and bicep while his right arm has no accessories. Maco lets his long, dark hair flow in the wind whenever he can. Only putting it up in a formal fashion when the time is needed such as a formal event. His dark skin is fined by the constant beat of the sun from his time in his kingdom. Perhaps Maco's most distinct feature is his purple hair, not his natural hair color of black. Maco dyes his hair the purple color ever so often, as he believes he is the first person to make such a fashion statement.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
Maco carries himself with a cool, calm demeanor that anyone can start to like eventually, even the most introverted of people. Maco can always be caught smiling, his happy nature won't let him go a day without a good laugh. Maco tries to get along with everyone around him, trying to make as many friends as possible. His downfall however is his gullible nature. Maco is an easy person to manipulate, his happy and friendly nature can easily be manipulated into him doing someone else's bidding without him even noticing it. He will do anything for anyone, at any given moment.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Maco is the heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Phoenis. He is the only child of the current king and queen.

Maco learned from a early age that being a King isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Before his father was even King, his Grandfather was at the helm. Now, whenever Maco and his grandfather were together Maco could've swore his grandfather was the most polite and friendly person in the world but, as the years went on and on the stress of being King took a toll on Maco's grandfather. Before Maco's grandfather would take all complaints with a open ear, and would listen to everyone equally and fairly. As time went on and on, Maco's grandfather took on more of a tyrant role. Anyone that complained about his leadership would be instantly capture and/or killed on site. Any type of treason against the king would result in instant death. In only a couple years difference, Maco's grandfather went from a fair and great king to a tyrant overcome by greed and stress.

In comes Maco's father, one night a rebellion had sprung up in the Kingdom. The rebellion was lead by none other than Maco's father! The rebellion lasted for days on days. Soon after, the main castle was finally breached and the King was taken from his throne. The tyrant king had finally been overthrown, and a new King shall take his place. Their were many claims to the throne, "long lost cousins" sprang out of nowhere from different parts of the world. Many people with no Phoeni blood tried their claim to the throne to no avail. People of Phoenis are fair and most drifted to the son of the tyrant king that led the rebellion.

Maco's father was crowned king within days, and thus began his reign. Right now Maco's father is a very justifiable person, just like Maco's grandfather had been when Maco first knew him. Maco's father listens to all complaints, and any feedback on how to better his kingdom for generations to come. Maco's father always tells Maco, "If I ever become like your grandfather, I want you to lead a rebellion against me. Do not let me become like him. When you take over, you better not become like him either." Maco takes those words, and will remember them for the rest of his life. The events of his past have given Maco enlightenment in his studies. Maco had given 100% effort towards all studies before he went to the Conclave, and he doesn't mean on changing that tactic when he reaches the Conclave.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
Maco was sent to the Conclave to further his studies in all fields such as Military, Diplomacy, Magical, and many more. The Conclave gives Maco the best opportunity to gain the most knowledge out of any school in the entire realm. The Conclave is known for being harsh, but their academics and training in many fields gives Maco the best chance to succeed further down the road as a king.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: Going with Maco's loving nature, he is a very charming person. Able to talk down people when they or angry, or just to have a friendly chat. Maco see's himself forming many bonds with the Kings and Queens of the vast kingdoms all over the lands.

Faith: Just about everyone in the entire world has thought of the god Gaea. The disappearance and the god in general are always up for debate, but to Maco he knows that no one will truly know what happened so he doesn't waste much time thinking on it.

Intrigue: Maco's personality doesn't allow him to impede on anyone's personal property or personal thoughts. Maco won't go as far as to snoop into someone's space to find dirt on them.

Magic: Maco has always been fascinated with the magic of the kingdoms. Albeit he doesn't know much, he does know some pretty good meditation spells that soothes the mind and spirit when they are having a bad day.

Martial: Just like most Princes and Princesses, Maco was taught about combat at a early age. Hand to Hand combat mostly, and some swordsmanship skill was shown to him. Hand to hand combat was worked on mostly everyday, because you never know when trouble may arise and you are found swordless.

Stewardship: Being from Phoeni decent, jewelry has always been on Maco. Gold had always been on Maco ever since he was a little kid. Necklaces, Bracelets, Earrings. You name it, Maco has it on. This led to Maco falling in love with gold pieces and coins in general. Economy in Phoeni is all about the fine craft works. Which made Maco fall even deeper in love with it all.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
Hanlet - Sworn bodyguard of Maco. Very large burly man, with a scimitar shaped sword around his waist at all times. Very quiet and sturdy guy that would risk his life for Prince Maco.

Yapier - Servant of Maco that helps with all the provisions that come along with being a prince. Basically Maco's right hand man. Whenever Maco needs advice of any sort he asks Yapier.

"We must all make sacrifices for the good of our family."

[ ♚ ] N A M E
Prince Edgar Kazimir Marlowe of Sikth

[ ♚ ] A G E
13

[ ♚ ] G E N D E R
Male

[ ♚ ] I D E N T I T Y
Aladori

[ ♚ ] A P P E A R A N C E
While the men of House Marlowe are of a strong and sturdy stock, Edgar is a slight and sickly boy. Short even among Aladori boys his age, given his slim figure, gentle features, and mop of dark hair, he is sometimes mistaken for a girl at a distance. Edgar's eyes are often distant and sullen; deep and dark, swirling with his many thoughts and contemplations. Thick cloaks and furs are his usual attire, as Sikth is cold and damp many months of the year. Though he is far from a warrior, he also often wears ceremonial armor, as is tradition in his household. As he is somewhat weak in the body, this is usually limited to a light, ornate breastplate worn over his tunics.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
Edgar Marlowe is said by some to be much like his homeland of Sikth, itself. Mostly cold, frequently dour, melancholic even when the sun is shining. Usually silent, but without a sense of peacefulness. An eeriness that suggests something darker at work. Most are content to ignore the small, strange prince as he skulks about, and Edgar does not mind. He simply watches, and remembers, and continues his business. He is difficult to speak to, as he is a poor conversationalist, and often stutters and mumbles and tries to avoid attention. Few people take him seriously due to his perceived lack of confidence; Edgar is all too aware of this. He is content to be an outside observer, with his thoughts and actions ignored by those he observes.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Edgar was the fifth-born son to the Queen Regent of House Marlowe, and her husband, a third-born prince of House Taake. Though their homeland of Sikth is somewhat small and sparsely populated, House Marlowe is known for more than mere political power. A legendary martial tradition, reaching back hundreds of years, thrives in Ravenhook. After centuries of fending off monsters great and small, the warriors of House Marlowe are considered some of the mightiest in the entire Imperium. The Dark Knights of Sikth are known and feared far and wide as a small but terrifyingly elite force. It is the proud and solemn tradition of House Marlowe to lead and maintain these fearsome soldiers, and as such, the house's nobles are often great fighters in their own right.

This is not the case for Edgar. Alway a scrawny, sickly child, Edgar fared poorly in in the dank, cold land of Sikth. Rather than run and play with his brothers in the gardens of Ravenhook, he stayed cooped up in his nursery, being read to by his wet nurse or reading himself when he able. As much as his parents thought he would, Edgar's health never improved much beyond "tolerable," and he had no desire to venture out into the Steelpines. It was not out of fear of the timberwolves or woodspiders; he simply had no desire to leave the castle. As his brothers took up the sword and spent long hours training with their wizened instructors, Edgar wiled away his hours in the archives and libraries deep in the bowels of Ravenhook.

Edgar's elder brothers were eventually granted such authority as duchies or military command, but no such gifts were given to young Edgar. His family was not fond of him, nor his strange habits. The Queen herself sometimes joked that Edgar was a changeling that had been left in the crib in place of her real son. They did not spite him or subject him to abuse, but they did ignore him, as they were content to pretend that he was simply not there. As far as they knew, House Marlowe had four strong sons, and that was all there was to know. Edgar often obliged them, himself happy to be left alone, but that did not mean he strayed far. He skulked through Ravenhook like a ghost, listening to what others did not want heard, and remembering what others did not what remembered.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
Edgar's mother eventually became quite ill at ease with her youngest son moping about the castle. Though she would never admit it, he frankly unnerved her, with his deep, dark eyes, always watching. With the hopes that he would eventually be seneschal to one of his elder brothers, Edgar was sent away to the Conclave, where he would be put to better use, and less of a strain on the Queen's sanity.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S

Diplomacy: While Edgar is well-read and has a wide vocabulary, he is frankly very socially awkward, and is ill-suited for diplomacy in his current state.

Faith: A child unremarkable for his piety from a family equally unremarkable for their piety. Edgar has some interest in the pagan religions that preceded the advent of the Imperium, but not out of anything more than historical curiosity.

Intrigue: Like a magpie, Edgar is quite good at finding himself where he is unwanted, and hearing things that others don't want heard. He keeps his image as a sullen, misbegotten child, as it suits him to be ignored and considered nonthreatening. Edgar doesn't much know what he will do with all he knows and all he hears, but he is sure that they will someday serve him well.

Magic: As famed monster hunters, House Marlowe considers magic to be an evil, inhuman craft, and shuns and persecutes magic users within Sikth. Edgar, however, is intrigued by the idea of magic, and is eager to learn it now that he is free from the restraints of his family's prejudices.

Martial: Edgar has lifted a sword perhaps twice in his life. As much as one would expect a prince from the homeland of the legendary Dark Knights to be a tremendous warrior, Edgar nowhere resembles his family's reputation in that respect.

Stewardship: While he is a smart boy, and would be good with finances, they simply don't interest Edgar. He considers money to be too predictable, and more of a means than an end.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S

Ser Sammael: A sworn knight of the Raven Guard, the order of Dark Knights assigned to the protection of House Marlowe. Ser Sammael is the oldest veteran among the Raven Guard, an aged soldier with hair white as snow. While still one of the most elite and experienced soldiers in the Imperium, Sammael's best days are behind him, and he cannot keep up with many of the younger knights. He was assigned as Edgar's sworn sword for the duration of his attendance of the Conclave. While he has not been told, House Marlowe plans for this to be his final task before he is retired (whether he wishes to retire or not).

Elisa: Edgar's servant, a plain girl of 16 years. Yet unmarried, she was chosen to accompany and attend to Edgar during his attendance of the Conclave. This long span of time away from home was accepted with the promised compensation of a favorable marriage to follow her return to Ravenhook. Elisa is the daughter of the servant that wet nursed Edgar during his long and troubled infancy, and while the two are not close, they have known each other all of Edgar's life.

Luther: Edgar's pet raven. While it is a common sport for men of House Marlowe to train falcons for hunting, it is far less common for them to keep other sorts of birds as pets. Edgar's eccentricity was accepted, given that the raven is the heraldic animal of House Marlowe. Luther is a clever little beast, which Edgar has trained to snatch up such things as coins and spectacles, and knows about twenty words.

APPEARANCE

PERSONALITY

"Either do it or don't, stop overthinking things so much."

[ ♚ ] N A M E
Prince Haytham Ionnes Avion of Ohanior

[ ♚ ] AGE
15

[ ♚ ] G E N D E R
Male

[ ♚ ] I D E N T I T Y
Hulevi

[ ♚ ] A P P E A R A N C E
With intelligent eyes and a warm smile, Haytham could probably be called handsome based on his personality alone. Still, with the dark hair and light tan common to his people, he could almost be called average in some respects. At 5'4", he's shorter than most Hulevi, but carries that height with confidence. Besides, there was still time left to grow into a giant... Right? Bags can also frequently be seen beneath his eyes, perhaps hints of stress he doesn't show on the surface.

Clothing wise he tends to wear a red jacket, red because of the colors of his house, and a jacket because he find the Conclave intolerably cold. While not too much farther north than his homeland, he never adapted to the change in climate, and still finds himself freezing even on warm days. Other than this, there aren't any particular outfits or styles he sticks to from day to day, mostly choosing whatever he fancies. This is wholly without regard to what is considered proper for the occasion.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
Laid back and personable, Haytham is surprisingly gregarious for a member of the famously withdrawn House Avion. He is at the same time dedicated to his duty, and completely unconcerned by it. Formalities are a chore, worrying accomplishes nothing, and duty is always simple. While his self-assurance in those three truths is often mistaken for indifference, those who know him are aware of the regency overseeing his homeland, and the real reason his is attending the Conclave is for his people. Ultimately, he is someone who will always do what needs to be done, and look utterly unconcerned doing it.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Haytham grew up the heir to House Avion, and with no siblings, aunts, or uncles, his inheritance was all but assured. The inevitability of his duty permeated his entire childhood, and his parents threw everything they had into their child. All their love, resources, and... expectations. Perhaps this over-saturation throughout his life is the reason for his fatal lack of concern in everything he does, but the true answer is a mystery.

House Avion have always been dedicated to keeping the Goddess's peace. Like a rock they have remained in their ancestral homes, never migrating to the heartlands, never wandering like their Phoeni cousins. They chose a space and remained there, fighting many wars over their rich lands. Never expanding, never shrinking, they welcomed the peace and were one of it's strongest advocates.

However, for several generations now there has been skepticism over the ability for the peace to last, and they have been growing increasingly withdrawn from the political landscape. Instead, focusing inwardly, preparing for the next era of conflict that they believe now to be inevitable. Haytham is the first member of the family to attend the Conclave in almost a century, and indeed had no plans to before the death of his father. Statecraft had become homeschooled by tradition, and something the Avion's prided themselves on.

This, above all is what filled Haytham's childhood. The very things that awaited him at the Conclave. His mother died in childbirth, and his father had always been sickly: there had never been time to waste in his education. He admitted, when he turned down the throne to attend to the Conclave, it was partly to experience the socializing and duty-free life he had missed out on as a child. In his place Ser Auric, his father's trusted friend and steward ruled as regent, trying to keep the country stable during the current power vacuum.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
While his upbringing has already afforded him more than a passing knowledge of statecraft, the death of his father has hastened a need to build connections with other rulers across the land. While he hopes to refine his abilities while at the conclave, his primary purpose is to assess the upcoming political situation with the soon-to-be monarchs, and ensure his homeland's future safety.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S

Diplomacy: While his personal motives would suggest it, along with his friendly personality, diplomacy is not one of Haythan's main focuses of study at the Conclave. His family has pursued a policy of increasing isolation overtime as they've seen the influence of the goddess waning, and have focused their efforts inward rather than outward.

Faith: A believer in the need for a united land under the goddess's command, it can't be said that Haytham lacks faith. Still, he also believes her power to be fading, and that preparation is needed if her divine peace ever ceased.

Intrigue: If Haytham is lacking in any area, it could certainly be considered this. While aware not everyone is trustworthy, he can't find it in himself to view others with suspicion.A naivety that will surely never come to bite him.

Magic: While Haytham holds a deep curiosity for magic, he doesn't consider it important enough to dedicate his time to compared to focusing on statecraft.

Martial: With his family's long held believe that the peace the land has enjoy cannot last, Haytham throws himself furiously into the studies of tactics and martial arts in order to be able to defend his Kingdom if that time ever truly comes. Training with a blade in his hand is perhaps the only time he can be described as serious.

Stewardship: Again, his family's growing policy of isolation has created a desire to make his state as self-sufficient as possible. Should war break out, a strong economy will be paramount to keeping the army strong, and dissuade any sharpened blades from trying to carve up his kingdom.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
Ser Alexios - The man who has taught Haytham swordplay his entire life. While the prince is dedicated to learning as many new techniques at the Conclave as possible, he remains the boy's favorite sparring partner.

Swift - If anyone knows her original name, they've never spoken it to Haytham. Approaching her forties, the woman has served his family all of her life as a servant, and is renowned for the speed at which she carries out her tasks. Is responsible for keeping Haytham in constant communication with his regent.

"Anyone who must call themselves a noble is no true noble at all."

[ ♚ ] N A M E
Princess Nebetah Meson Hahra of Kingdom Faeron

[ ♚ ] A G E
15

[ ♚ ] G E N D E R
Female

[ ♚ ] I D E N T I T Y
Phoeni

[ ♚ ] A P P E A R A N C E
Unlike a majority of her female siblings, Nebetah literally stands out as one of the much taller and muscular girls out of the rest of her sisters. While not the oldest, she certainly looks like it, measuring at a continuously growing 5'10 and weighing in at around 152 lbs; a weight presumed to be mostly muscle. Her Phoeni origin is clear, since Nebetah's skin and hair are quite dark. Her sharp almond eyes however are an odd amber colour, inherited by none other than her own mother. While her skin appears to be as soft as a majority of other pampered princesses, her hands and feet are coarse, evidence of her lifelong combat training. She doesn't conceal her hands, however. Her long, muscular limbs seem to have one or two scars on each of them, though her chiseled stomach seems to have the most. Despite her mostly concealed figure, Nebetah walks with an alluring grace befitting for her royal lineage. She's been misinterpreted to be much older than her actual age mainly because of her mature appearance and large figure.

In terms of attire, Nebetah is often seen wearing sleeveless, dark coloured dresses that reach to her ankles. Her collar bone is concealed by a decorated collar necklace, which reaches down to above chest level. Also attached to the gold collar necklace is a mostly transparent white material which stops at her elbows. Like her younger sister, Nebetah seems to have a love for golden accessories, often being seen wearing them on her wrists, ankles and ear lobes. She adorns a long, simplistic black cloak with small golden patterns on occasion.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
As a princess who desires to become the heiress to the Hahra house, Nebetah presents herself as a calm but confident woman that won't fall easily to someone's sword. She attempts to keep up a imposing front with an equally imposing presence, but despite her colossal frame (for her age anyways) and 'protective sister' tendencies she really tries not to intimidate any small fries she comes across. Well, anyone in general to be honest. She's even been said to have a naturally powerful, loud and charismatic voice, as a pose to the much more gentle tone she takes to when she's casually socialising. Still, Nebetah's supposed unwavering courage and competitiveness (which can sometimes be mistaken for pure recklessness) is quite admirable, as she's ready to tackle any obstacles that come flying her way; there's no way she'll back down from a challenge. As expected of a Phoeni, Nebetah is resilient (especially physically) and righteous, and by absolutely no means will she ever stoop down to 'acting dirty' or 'unfair' in whatever situation she's in.

Despite her knightly and hard-to-break exterior, Nebetah is actually a kindhearted, sociable and passionate girl. She cares deeply for her close friends, and even more for her younger sister whom she worries about and is seen worrying about a lot. Those who know her well may describe her as the older sister type, as she's very prone to lecture others for their troublesome and cheeky actions (mostly in a comedic fashion). She's not a complete killjoy though, as she does let her sister roam around alone if she knows she's in a safe environment. A flaw of Nebetah's however is her tendency to be too protective of Falisia. She's prone to restricting her from doing certain things that usually won't cause the girl any harm, leading to small disputes concerning 'freedom' between the two and the starting sentences often being 'I'm old enough to take care of myself'. As much as Nebetah cares for the girl, letting her walk amongst people that could possibly manipulate Falisia is something she finds difficult (especially considering past events). One day, it's obvious that her sister is going to have to walk her own path, though Nebetah has yet to fully acknowledge this. But even so, lay as much as a finger on Falisia, and Nebetah will completely lose it; she will destroy you completely, whether that be mentally or physically. She is your stereotypical older sister, after all.

Although Nebetah desires to be seen as a strong person, she can be very hesitant and even fearful when she's thrown into certain situations. She's afraid of messing up in some way, looking like a fool in front of others, and mostly, failing to protect her sister. Even if she tackles things head on, there's always that whisper of doubtfulness at the back of her head. When failure comes and whacks her on the head, the girl will feel guilt ridden for days. On the inside, Nebetah is frightened of failure and how it could possibly affect others. She has a lot of responsibility that needs to be carried however heavy it is, even if she is just fifteen.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Being the second youngest of her siblings, Nebetah and Falisia shared a similar early childhood. With many brothers and sisters much older than she was, she knew becoming the next in line to the throne was unlikely. It made her a little sad that she was seemingly one of the 'lowest of the low' in her family, and thus Nebetah was a quick to give up, 'just let the others handle it' type of child. She could at least relate to the year younger Falisia, who was indeed the youngest out of everyone; both were sort of seen as irrelevant and out shined by their older siblings. Their relatable situations where what drew them close though, and for once in her life Nebetah felt a sense of responsibility and purpose, even if it was just the simple priority of looking after her little sister.

But one day, it was about time that Nebetah told herself that enough was enough. She wanted to be heard, to be praised, to be acknowledged for once. The girl decided that the only way to do this was to somehow outshine her older siblings, attempting to act better and much more impressive than them. Nebetah had no idea to do this, though. It would soon dawn upon the child, however.

If she wanted to become a queen, might as well act like one.

She watched how her older siblings acted, how her father acted, even how the servants acted. She took note of how they presented themselves and tried to observe everything around her, how the real world was like. She wished to be strictly educated, and thus had a very mature mindset for her age. This was sort of where Falisia and Nebetah's paths diverged, as while Falisia was more curious about how the lively citizens outside the walls were like, Nebetah was solely focused on becoming an honourable princess and impressing her elders. The two girls where still very close, and alongside one servant by the name of Shevar, she would lecture the naive little girl till the moon began to rise (when Shevar wasn't present, though).

At around eight years old, Nebetah discovered the ways of combat and war. Intrigued by this topic and realising how she could use this knowledge and physical prowess to impress her father, Nebetah begged to be tutored on how to literally fight. A ruler that knew how to fight and rule over its citizens was a valuable ruler in her eyes. And so, she began her training, honing her body to becoming the strongest it possibly could. This was where Nebetah's true talent arose.

Considered highly capable in this area, she continued to take her fighting abilities to the next level. At around the age of ten when she could throw decent punches and kicks, and built up some muscle and stamina to boot, Nebetah began to put weapons into the mix. While she could wield a sword pretty well, she felt as though the whole swordsman archetype didn't really fit her. She even tried archery, but she failed terribly at it. It was when she got her hands on a glaive that Nebetah's talent shone above the rest. She wielded it with relentless strength and grace, and with her discovering her aptitude for it, Nebetah gained a great amount of confidence in her abilities. She could actually do something now. She could be of use. She managed to become one of the best fighters of her family, despite her older siblings also having some slight combat training. Earning the first bit of praise from her father because of this was gave her an even bigger boost of confidence.

With this developed arrogant and ignorant traits within Nebetah at the time, causing arguments with her siblings whom she barely even spoke to. They called her a simple minded brute that could throw more punches than words, which Nebetah angrily retorted with the fact that she could actually defend herself from harm unlike some of her siblings who barely couldn't. It still angered her though, the reality that she was being mocked instead of praised.

And so, Nebetah decided to cut off all her connections with her siblings and consumed herself with studying and physical training. Even her sister, who was confused about this sudden change, Nebetah chose to avoid her at all costs, thinking she was nothing but an obstacle in the way of her studies. She grew sour towards the poor girl, even going as far as to say she was idiotic and naive for sneaking out an having a valuable bracelet stolen. After Falisia's attempts to talk it out with Nebetah, the older girl simply stomped off in a fit of rage. At the young age of eleven, Nebetah completely cut off her previously loving relationship with her sister, also letting what could have been a hard but memorable childhood with Falisia slip through her rough fingers.

It was at around age fourteen when Shevar had made another significant appearance. Watching from the shadows, the servant knew that things weren't going particularly well with Nebetah and the rest of the royal family. So, she pulled Nebetah out of her ocean of training and study sessions and gave the girl the longest lecture she had ever experienced. Shevar reminded the girl why she had wanted to do the things she wanted. Why she had drowned herself in studies in the first place. She even harshly stated that Nebetah had really become nothing more than a brute as her siblings had said. Hearing that was like a slap in the face for Nebetah, but it was undoubtedly true. Even her father was beginning to question the girl's violent actions towards her relatives. Shevar had then reminded Nebetah of the most important thing to the girl - her relationship with her younger sister. Even though Shevar had done an excellent job at being a motherly figure, Nebetah was still Falisia's older sister; Shevar wasn't always going to be there if Falisia got herself into a twist. The woman wanted Nebetah to realise her importance to her sister, and how sour she had been towards her these past years. Finally, the obvious had become clear to young Nebetah, and she realised how lonely Falisia could have been during those four years apart from each other. Coming to her senses, the girl sobbed in guilt, swearing she would never leave her younger sister's side ever again for anyone.

Eventually, after a long and drawn out apology and the repeat of the protective vow from Nebetah, the two once again became close. She reformed her daily schedule so that she could spend more time with Falisia, and once again going back to the usual Shevar and Nebetah rants and lectures. For once in a long time Nebetah felt happy. The bond between the two sisters only continued to grow stronger, and with it Nebetah's courage and determination. Her arrogant and ill mannered self had broken away, and the girl was beginning to take her first true steps at becoming an even more mature woman. Her father was taking more notice of Nebetah again, which shone even more light upon her dream of becoming Faeron's queen. Her kinder, passionate self had returned to normal, and it seemed as if nothing could break the two happy girls apart again.

A few days after she had turned fifteen, Nebetah was informed of some terrible news. A man by the name of Norman had asked for Falisia's hand in marriage after her father had asked of him to fix the kingdom's collapsing economy. She was bewildered by the 'offer' and infuriated with her father's acceptance. Though it was when she realised that whenever her father attempted to stop the arranged marriage, the same economical problem arose, that Nebetah wanted to step in and dispose of the man for his dirty actions. However, knowing that doing so would tarnish her family's honour and make her guilty of literal murder, Nebetah held herself back, saying to herself that she would stomp on him like the defenceless spider he was.

Luckily, her father had come up with a temporary solution that would postpone the marriage until much later on; sending Falisia to a prestigious school until she was deemed old enough to be wed to Noman. This would possibly give the king enough time to find a solution to the whole ordeal. Nebetah, also wanting to find a solution, begged her father to accompany Falisia to the Conclave; not just to watch over her, but for Nebetah to further broaden her knowledge and hopefully help solve this terrible problem.

While Nebetah has chosen to study at the Conclave for the sake of watching over her sister, being tutored by the most knowledgeable people in the land would certainly come in handy. She's also keen on enhancing her fighting capabilities, as she has heard that they do classes on such.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: Despite her aptitude in battle, she hopes to not put her beloved glaive to use in due time. She desires to rule over a peaceful kingdom when she's older and wiser, while also creating strong connections with other kingdoms to prevent any possible disputes and unnecessary fights. She's got the strong presence, the charismatic voice, and the graceful exterior to boot. While this probably isn't the the topic she's the most knowledgeable on, Nebetah is extremely keen about it.

Faith: While it isn't her point of interest, religious studies are quite interesting. She's hasn't intended to make it one of her main attributes, though.

Intrigue: Nebetah wasn't really ever a cunning person. While she's certainly not ignorant to noticing if she's in a tight spot or not, she'll usually just ask for the information if she wants to know something. If that doesn't work, she'll perhaps try to subtly make herself seem more intimidating. Which is most likely what would happen anyways, especially if the situation is noticeably serious.

Magic: Magic is something that really interests Nebetah, but Diplomacy seems to stick out more to her by a centimetre. While a magically enhanced glaive would be great, she thinks being physically talented is much better. Relying on magic too much could prove fatal in her eyes.

Martial: Definitely. Nebetah's been praised for her physical prowess before, and her skill with a glaive is like no other for her age. A graceful but incredibly strong wielder of this weapon, she knows barely anybody that can swing a glaive better than she can. While she's okay with a sword, her own specially crafted glaive she had been given on her fifteenth birthday and still carries along with her is her best friend. The girl can pack one hell of a punch to, and can go on for hours throwing them. Not someone you want to mess with in an arm wrestle either.

Stewardship: While Nebetah is not the dumbest of people, she's secretly lacking a bit in mathematics. Her other siblings have teased her about being the knucklehead of the family, seeing as most of them possess great skill in this topic. She admits that it's not exactly the most intriguing topics out there, at least in her opinion.

[ ♚ ] C O M P A N I O N S
Anora: Although the two have only known each other for about a year, Anora is a very loyal and hardworking servant. Nebetah actually enjoys her company, as the girl is very cheerful and bright. She's also very modest as well; one time Nebetah had jokingly asked if Anora was secretly an Aladori descendant because of her extreme accuracy with a bow, to which the girl immediately rejected with a red face. Whenever she is praised or thanked by Nebetah, she quickly declines, saying that it is her job after all. Anora is only a year younger than Nebetah, and stands at a measly 5'3, quite small for her Phoeni ethnicity.

At the taller end of height for a Tromani teen at 5'9" with a slimmer but well-built body type. Sharp features and fair skin as expected of a Tromani, he could have been considered as quite handsome if not for his scars. Due to a traumatic attack as a child, his normally ash-blonde hair lost its colour and turned white, and his left eye, left arm and both legs are marked by major, but faded teeth and claw scars.

Along with his usual outfit as seen above, he is always wearing a pair of thin black gloves to cover his hands and wrists, unless in private or with trusted company. He also has a more relaxed outfit, a similar style but with less adornments, and a combat variant with light plate armour covering his arms, lower legs, shoulders and chest.

His sword is always at his hip unless there's no way of keeping it on him, and he also has a personalised bow he often takes with him on hunting trips or for any archery-based challenge or activity.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
He has quite a serious and cold personality but cares for his friends, family and servants, as well as the subjects of his kingdom. He will not hesitate to put himself in the way of harm to protect someone he cares about, and he isn’t afraid to strike back at the one responsible.

Outwardly he seems confident but in truth he is quite negative towards himself, lacking in a lot of self-confidence that would be expected from royalty. He hides it well, but a few people have gotten to see this side of him, be it as a close friend or by accident.

This also translates to social situations, as he appears to be completely comfortable in large groups, whereas the truth is that he feels out of place and prefers smaller groups or being left alone. If he is trapped in a group for a long period of time, he becomes slightly irritable and will begin to actively search for a way to excuse himself.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Born to a Half Tromani/Forlorni Noblewoman Illyana Greycastle after a secret affair between her and King Orland Blackwater, Prometheus Greycastle didn’t actually become a prince until his mother was killed in a suspicious fire that destroyed his old home aged 5 and he was absorbed into the royal family, under the name Prometheus Blackwater. His half-siblings and step-mother, Queen Vaylina, treated him poorly, seeing him as a ‘dirty-blooded disgrace with no rightful claim to the throne’, and his father was dismissive and uncaring. This lead to him developing difficulties when interacting with other people and damaging his self-confidence. Despite this, he was always putting on a smile and trying his best to be a kind person.

His aunt, Alexia Blackwater, was the only member of his family that showed him any kindness as a child, and it was her personal knight that trained him with a sword, bow and tactics and strategy. She filled the role of a mothering figure for the young prince, and he bonded with her knight as an ersatz-father. His daughter Kara, a trainee squire at the time, became a sister figure, and the two spent a lot of time together.

The most major event of his childhood happened around age 12. It was shortly after he had begun to train with a sword and wishing to train on his own, he travelled alone to the Blackwater Vale despite the warnings from his servants. While training, he was attacked by a small pack of wolves lead by a Dire Wolf. Severely wounded, he narrowly escaped when the wolves was attacked by a Wyvern that was nesting nearby, intending to steal its prey. Prometheus spent over 15 days hiding in caves and travelling with the most basic first aid until he finally made it to a small elven settlement and collapsed from the pain and exhaustion. He was forced to recover for another 2 weeks after that, with his survival attributed to sheer willpower alone. This was how he gained his scars and unique white hair, as well as learning the basics of magic from the elven mages kind enough to teach him.

When he finally returned, he was colder and didn’t smile anywhere near as much, which was quickly picked up on by Kara, his aunt and her knight. His father, the king, also noticed and said it was a step towards being worthy of the throne, but Prometheus harshly dismissed it, angering him greatly. This change sparked a subsequent change in Kara, who decided to fight to get him to smile again.

On paper, As expected of any heir to a kingdom, Prometheus was enrolled in The Conclave to be educated in the ways of ruling or assisting in the rule of his House. In actuality, he was aware of his father’s distain for him and sought to escape the life of cold solitude hidden behind closed palace doors.

Diplomacy: Not much of a politician, he doesn't partake much in Diplomatic functions and only has a basic knowledge of what it takes.

Faith: Finding religion as a waste of time, he dismisses any interest in the Gods completely.

Intrigue: Quiet but observant, he doesn't get involved in the affairs of other people unless it threatens him or those he cares about, to which end he will use what he learned to strike back at them.

Magic: Having learned the basic principles from the elven settlement, he quickly came to realise the practical and combat applications of the Arcane arts, especially when combined or used in tandem with martial combat. Having learned as much as he could from his own kingdom and travellers from Forlonia and the Imperial Heartland, he wants to further study, expand and sharpen his magical skills.

Martial: With training as one of the few activities for him as a child, his weapon skills are honed to a high level. With a bow, he is almost peerless in accuracy, range and speed, while his sword play is enough to duel most high-skill opponents. He has a good grasp on tactics and strategy as well, having a high win/lose ratio in games like chess, but not the confidence or leadership to actually command men in battle.

Stewardship: Skilled with numbers, but never motivated to pursue stewardship.

Lyriel reflects the looks of a regal tromani noble with long-stretching excessively brushed to perfection blonde hair, irises the color of sapphires (despite the FC suggesting otherwise). Her more aloof appearance suggests she is far more casual than most princesses despite her father supposedly holding a small island-based barony in Tromania and being said to being the definition of a knightly albeit perfectionist personality. Whilst other princesses prefer being presentable it is Lyriel who prefers what she feels like despite generally being well-dressed and proper looking— the way she walks makes that a fact. Lyriel is also notoriously short when it comes to height; setting in at 5’1” with a energetic aesthetic about her that fits her thin almost wire-like physique.

Her dresses tend to be drenched in sharp colors alongside ebony accompaniment such as gold, rose, emerald, and violet. Additionally she goes nowhere without a long black band in her hair with crimson etchings.

“My sister is a troublesome and maddening, believing the slightest infractions serve as great injustice that should be punished. I hate her. I don’t know what to do with her to make her realize that she needs to change. The world is not her oyster.”
—King Irthur I Swiftwind

Lyriel is most often seen as a complicated and problematic young girl— her way of thinking is obtuse, childish, inane, and not all that princess-like; and it is her behaviors that have continued to “enrich” her reputation abroad. What few friends she does have define her as eccentric and whimsical while her rivals define her as insane and arbitrary.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Lyriel Swiftwind is a princess of The Kingdom of Northwatch. The daughter of King Riaon III Swiftwind and Queen Oriana Hawkhart, Lyriel was born four and ten years ago in Swiftwind Keep.

A devious, energetic, and brilliant child with a penchant for being an absolute troublemaker and terrible student; one thing is clear about Lyriel and that would be the fact of her being interesting albeit dangerous. Nicknamed “The Mad Princess” by her brother after she dyed his hair pink by sneaking into his room when he was ten years past his nameday upon the night preluding his annual birthday celebration; an incident that Lyriel claims was a big misunderstanding— a misunderstanding that he shouldn’t have thrown her favorite doll out of the window in anger. Lyriel was of course reprimanded but the damage to her brother’s reputation was done and for several months the nobles his age would taunt him as “Princess Irthur”, a nickname that amused his sister greatly as evident from a gift she gave him some weeks later in the form of a tiara. His misery was her delight.

Such happenings continued to occur until her father fell off the balcony in a drunken fit, in what was believed to be rambling about how neither of his children were fit to run the kingdom and he was better off pawning it off to one of the neighboring great houses instead. Regardless of what he thought, Prince Irthur had inherited the woes of the kingdom and Lyriel’s games went silent for a time. Still her brother never forgot such insults she had given him and in a petty rulership continued to harass her and tempt her now that he was in power and she his subject. However due to this Lyriel made sure while she was in Swiftwind Keep any girl he courted would never fall for him or marry him. Accusations of molestation, unkingly behavior, homosexual preferences, venereal disease, and other such things. She even convinced one girl that her brother believed that he could talk to trees somehow. But eventually her brother had enough.

In a fit of spite he sent her off to The Conclave to teach her a lesson. She hasn’t forgotten his treachery.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
Lyriel was admitted to The Conclave one year ago after the King of Northwatch, her brother, decided to suggest that The Conclave forge her into a proper lady or perhaps to get him out of his castle for the time being.

[ ♚ ] C R E D E N T I A L S
Diplomacy: Whilst diplomacy is a consistent part of important political and mercantile deals, the proper courtesies and manners are all effectively boring to Lyriel. Feeling like that she has no reason to be polite if she doesn’t have to be she tends to exhibit a pompous casual manner to her; a problematic trait, indeed. Finding the study of social sciences of little importance to her personally it is unclear if The Conclave will teach her differently.

Faith: Religion is a very important part of life for many people, but for Lyriel she doesn’t think about it much. She finds the lectures and preachings disinteresting as she often falls asleep during faith studies.

Intrigue: It always seems Lyriel has an ear to the wall and seems to know most of how things at The Conclave go down whether people want her to know or not, a concerning fact given that she considers herself one of Princess Anareleia's personal rivals. It is said that she loves playing with secrets and creating childish games at every turn; especially those that spoil others fun.

Magic: Magic is interesting, but also boring. Whilst she has some skill in it she wouldn’t consider herself particularly talented about it. Unsurprisingly she comprehends the “math” and “science” part of magic, but the other components of learning it seem lost to her and she always shows a lack of deep interest within it.

Martial: Lyriel wouldn’t know a spear from a pike or a bastard sword from an arming sword and as such has limited knowledge or affinity with martial studies.

Stewardship: Coin is nice, but the study of it is awfully boring as far as Lyriel is concerned and often finds herself in situations alike those with politics and theology with her half or completely asleep during a lesson. This, however, surprisingly has not affected her comprehension of mathematics, logistics, and the study of chemistry— a fact Lyriel’s tutors have spoken of many times to her father. Her potioncrafting is excellent, her memory of what herbs are toxic and not is astute, and her comprehension of math is a talent that her family fears she will put to waste. However, being good with math does not always equate to spending money wisely.

Zkreli

[ ♚ ] A P P E A R A N C E
Standing at roughly 6'2" and still growing, Vorik is tall for his age even amongst the Zkreli and a tower compared to most everyone else. He has been told throughout his life that both he and his brother share a shocking resemblance to their mother, Ylva, particularly with their dirty blonde hair and striking blue eyes. However, where Erik retained Ylva's lean muscle and lithe build, Vorik seems to have inherited both the height and almost overwhelming body strength typical of House Minhyr.

The Zkreli are not known throughout Gaealia for their sense of fashion (you can't exactly wear flowing gowns in the middle of a marsh) and this is certainly the case for Vorik, who seems to dress more like a common foot soldier than a Prince, garbing himself most commonly in a simple pair of tough leather boots to go with a jerkin. The most "exotic" piece of clothing one might find in Vorik's wardrobe would be a long overcoat made from the fur of a warg worn over a doublet and embroidered with the sigil of his house on the chest.

After some years combating orcs, goblins, wargs and the like along the border of the Badlands, Vorik's body does retain a noticeable amount of wear from battle. Bruises adorn several sections of his body, his skin weathered and his hands calloused. Though this will no doubt change the longer he stays at the Conclave and away from the field.

[ ♚ ] P E R S O N A L I T Y
A popular phrase within Minhyriath regarding Prince Vorik is that the lad is "Larger than life and twice as tall." and Vorik has done his damnedest to live up to such a reputation. Bold, boisterous, loud, and loyal have all been words used to describe Vorik, both in and outside of combat. Truly, Vorik prides himself on being the first to rush into battle against the Zkreli's ancestral foe and first to raise a cup of mead in victory.

To the other lords of Gaealia, Vorik may very well prove to be too Zkreli for his own good. Depending on who you're talking to, Vorik is headstrong, stubborn, and reckless. Certainly not the traits one typically expects or wants from political leaders, though many hold hope that Vorik is a teenager being a teenager, and can subsequently "grow into his throne" so to speak.

The effects of his brother's death on Vorik's demeanor, however, have been pronounced. Whereas he was previously mirthful and merry, Vorik has become reserved and stoic. At his core, Vorik is a boy who, in his grief, is desperately looking for a purpose to live other than combating the monsters of his homeland and watching those around him fall. While traces of his former self now surface in the form of silent snark and jesting insults, perhaps being surrounded by his peers will return Vorik to his old persona.

[ ♚ ] C H I L D H O O D
Born the second and final child of King Andor III and Queen Ylva, Vorik grew up idolizing a brother, Erik, three years his elder. Growing up in Minhyriath where battling Orcs and Goblins and Wargs was nearly a daily occurrence, one wouldn't expect a Prince to have such a positively merry disposition, but Vorik looks back on his early years very fondly, remembering his lessons in arms with his father and the yearly feasts that would be held at Spiderstone. Vorik was, in his own mind, relieved of the pressure of inheriting the Kingdom as a second son and as such reveled in the pleasures of the warrior lifestyle the Zkreli hold dear.

While he certainly had to attend no less lectures and training sessions than most any noble, the majority of Vorik's childhood was spent either roughhousing with the other children of the castle (his brother included) and exploring the forests around his family's holdings. While his father certainly didn't approve of such excursions, well, Kings are often busy, and a clever enough Prince could find a way out of the castle regardless.

One such trip saw the Minhyr brothers and their group of young adventurers set upon by a pair of goblins. Chaos ensued, and while almost everything else was a blur, Vorik remembers that Erik had been thrown to the ground by one of the monsters, and he'd reacted by throwing himself into his brother's assailant. Now, one wouldn't expect an eleven or twelve year old boy to overpower a goblin, but smashing one's head in with a rather large rock isn't outside the realm of possibility. All Vorik knew was that he had to protect his brother. When the band was collected by some of his father's men, Vorik certainly did not want to inform the King of the day's events. Unsurprisingly, Andor was furious.

When his elder brother reached his sixteenth birthday, their father saw fit to bring Erik alongside him in a campaign into the Orc Badlands. Vorik refused to be left behind while his father and brother rode out to battle. Despite being only thirteen at the time, Andor permitted Vorik to come with them seeing as the boy clearly wasn't going to take no for an answer. Vorik took to the army lifestyle immediately and proved himself capable on the battlefield, spend his days fighting beasts and his nights laughing and drinking with his countrymen in camp. Such idyllic times, if one could call them that, would not last.

More than a year later and amidst news of a new chieftain rising in the southern marshes, Andor had Vorik and his brother take a force of roughly two hundred men to survey and report on the severity of the situation. What they found, however, was an odd thing indeed, an Orc fortress. While Erik sent word to their father for reinforcements, Vorik believed that the best course of action was to launch a surprise attack on the fort. While Erik had vehemently disagreed and was strictly speaking the company's commander, Vorik roused almost half the men to his cause and stormed the gates only days after their arrival.

Compelled to follow, Erik found Vorik roughly twenty minutes into the battle while chaos still raged around them. From the fort's main tower emerged the largest Orc Vorik had ever seen, half a head taller than any chieftain and twice as fierce. The duel that ensued would see Erik dead and Vorik battered, but breathing. Reinforcements had arrived in the midst of battle and saved every man that yet lived from the Princes' token force.

Overcome with grief over the death of his brother, Vorik laid down his hammer and returned to Spiderstone after reporting back to his father. Erik would be buried in the crypts underneath the Minhyr family's ancestral castle a fortnight later, with his name carved into the massive slab of runic stone dubbed the Wall of the Fallen. It was his first command.

Now, with some months removed from Erik's death, Vorik has been unknowingly enrolled to study at the Conclave by his father, and expects to arrive any day.

[ ♚ ] M O T I V E S
Andor had a variety of reasons to send his sole surviving child away from Minhyriath. One not in the know would no doubt assume that principal among them was, well, making sure he still had a surviving child. But, nonetheless, Andor seems to have sent his child halfway across the continent chiefly to take his mind off of the death of his brother and away from the constant threat of the Orcs. Time will tell whether or not the idea proves a success.

Diplomacy: The recently made Crown Prince of Minhyriath is diplomatic in so far as he can make rousing battle speeches and feels at home amongst the raucous laughter of a Zkreli mead hall. While he was educated in courtly manners as befits all royalty, Vorik can be described as crass and vulgar to outsiders. While this serves him more than well amongst the people of his native Kingdom, Vorik has yet to become acclimated to the political climate of the Conclave.

Faith: Vorik never paid much mind to his religious studies growing up, retaining as much knowledge as one would expect of most commoners, which is to say, he knows how to say a prayer to Gaea when prompted to and has at least memorized the scant holidays in which he enjoys partaking. For the majority of his life he went through the motions of rituals and prayer with no questions asked, his brother's death has caused something of a crisis of faith for Vorik. He has begun to ask himself the existential questions such as "What does it all mean?" and "What is it all for?", and so far, he hasn't enjoyed the answers he's come up with in regards to life's purpose.

Intrigue: The vast majority of the Zkreli have no penchant for the dishonorable workings of spies, assassins, and the like, and this extends to Prince Vorik. If Vorik can't handle the problem in an honest and straightforward fashion, odds are he won't face the problem at all. Besides, have you ever heard of someone spying on an army of Orcs? None of those stories ever end well.

Magic: While his brother had shown particular curiosity to, Vorik holds a fundamental distrust of Magic and those who practice it. Magical tomes and places of study are, unsurprisingly, almost nonexistent in Minhyriath, and as a result most Zkreli know next to nothing about it. In simple terms? If magic can somehow aid him in the slaying of Orcs or taming of Wargs, Vorik may very well learn more about it someday, but for now? He'll focus on the more mundane methods. Namely his hammer.

Martial: Despite his young age in comparison to the Realm at large, amongst the Zkreli, Vorik is already a man, and to be a man in Minhyriath is to be a warrior. Vorik's first encounter with goblins occurred not long after his twelfth birthday, and before he knew it he was marching in the army of his father against petty Orc chieftains. Where his father is undoubtedly a man of tactical brilliance, Vorik's primary strategy in combat seems to be "Rush in and overwhelm the opposition." and while that attitude does wonders in inspiring the men around you and has so far proven quite effective for the young Prince, it won't win him any marks in exams. Though trained and talented with a Zkreli hunting bow, Vorik's weapon of choice is a tall, spiked war-hammer.

Stewardship: As a teenager raised in a land permanently deadlocked in war, Vorik has at least learned the fundamentals of overseeing the resources of a marching army, though he has openly admitted his personal disdain for numbers and mathematics. He has been known to say that in Minhyriath, there are only two numbers worth counting, the number of enemies, and the number of casualties.

Oddly, Vorik has been sent to the Conclave without a typical retinue. The Prince is more than used to taking care of himself, and perhaps his father wished for him to be completely and utterly removed from the situation in his homeland and left to his own devices during his education.

(I still need to fill this out with non family members and all that. Jinkies.)

King Andor III Minhyr: The current King of Minhyriath, only child of the old king Bjorn and Vorik's father who inherited the throne of Spiderstone from his father in the year 547 AR at the age of 15. Andor is well liked by his people and considered one of the wisest of the Minhyr Kings. During Andor's reign, the Zkreli of Minhyriath have had a remarkable amount of successes in their inherent war against the Orcs, even pushing into the Badlands for the first time in generations.

One of the scant negative points against Andor's reputation is, oddly enough, his marriage to Queen Ylva. Betrothed to a noblewoman from Lothloryen at a young age, Bjorn's sudden death and Andor's subsequent marriage to a common poacher caused political relations with the only other Zkreli Kingdom on Gaealia to deteriorate for some time.

Queen Ylva (530 AR - 551 AR): Born in the area surrounding Spiderstone, Ylva was a rather small Zkreli woman who fed herself on the game of the Kingswood until, one day, she happened upon the hunting party of King Bjorn and then Prince Andor themselves. While the punishment for poaching was typically conscription into the offended Lord's army, Ylva challenged Bjorn to a contest of archery and won her own freedom and was offered a position in Spiderstone as a hunter. Smitten, Andor would spend the next several months kindling a relationship with her, and upon his father fell victim to pneumonia at the age of 47, the two were married only weeks prior to his coronation.

A small woman at only 5'7", pregnancy was not easy on Ylva, and although they had vowed not to have more children after giving birth to Andor's first son and heir Erik, a few years later, Ylva began showing signs of pregnancy once more. Bedridden for almost two months, Vorik's labor would last almost an entire day, and sadly, his mother would not live long after the delivery.

Andor and Erik were emotionally devastated at her passing, and the former speaks of her sly smile, fierce determination and quick wit whenever she happens to be brought up in conversation, which has become more and more fleeting.

Prince Erik Arvid Minhyr (548 AR - 566 AR): Vorik's now deceased brother was everything his younger sibling was not. Reserved, responsible, and small. Where Vorik was undoubtedly born for the battlefield, Erik seemed more comfortable in the family library than in the reigns of a warhorse. When he was young, Erik once made a request to have a Wizard brought to Minhyriath as to teach him magic, though he was rejected. There is no doubt that the Minhyr brothers held much love for each other despite their near polar opposite personalities. Vorik still holds himself personally responsible for his brother's death, though he refuses to talk to anyone about the experience.
