I know I may not seem like much but protecting others runs through my blood." Lapis told him a look of pure determination on her face. Her mother's blood was on the forefront now. An almost ethereal glow coming off of her skin as the magic from her mother's blood coursed through her veins.

"I'm sorry you felt that way." Lapis told the girl not letting the insult get to her. Many other's enjoyed her performance and she has earned a lot of money through her performances so one person not liking them didn't phase her. Lapis then turned to Alex. "I'd like to offer my assistance in protection of your sister or whatever else you see fit." She told him, she had been one of her best customers, the performance she did at his party having been one of her favorites so she felt the need to offer help. Plus her mother's blood did run through her and that made the desire even stronger. She knew he may not take her up on her offer because she was a performer but she had trained with Egyptian warriors and her mother and step-father in the ways of using her magic for fighting and how to fight without it.

Lapis watched as the girl approached something seeming off a bit about her as she began to speak. When she mentioned the bounty on Alex's sister Lapis' eyes widened in shock. She hadn't met the girl but she didn't know why someone would want the sister of someone so high up like Alex dead. Lapis decided in that moment she would offer to protect his sister and help him in any way she could. Then she watched as the girl turned to her and scoffed. "What?" She asked staring at her and furrowing her eyebrows.

Jade followed him and watched as he tripped. She went over to his side and offered him a hand to get him up at the same time she noticed the boot and the footprints. When he got back up she would sign to him, "I think we have a lead." She signed as she looked towards the cave. Then she heard someone call out asking them what they were doing.
Jade quickly turned to face the person and cursed herself for not feeling the vibrations from their approach. She noticed the girl and the wolf and immediately got in a defensive position rocks flying up and floating by Jade's side at the ready. "Who are you and why are you here?" She called to the girl.

"THat's always nice to see old friends, although I don't have many so I wouldn't quite know," Lapis said laughing slightly before hearing the bodyguard tell Alex someone was watching him. She watched as he peered over her head and spoke to someone behind her. Lapis turned and stood off to the side slightly looking at the girl curious of what she wanted.

"It is, there are less vibrations coming from the ground meaning there are fewer things inhabiting this area of the woods then there should be. There is something wrong with this forest and I'm guessing it is connected to the man's disappearance." Jade replied as she kept herself on high alert observing the new things coming into view.

Jade nodded following him, she looked around at the trees but she also paid attention to the different vibrations she felt from the earth below to see if she'd feel anything that could lead them to more clues or something. As they got deeper not only did she notice the way the canopy of trees blocked out the sun and became thicker but also how she felt less vibrations from the ground meaning there weren't many animals moving through this deeper portion of woods.

Lapis asked as she clasped her hands behind her back and made sure she had good posture due to the standing he has, she didn't want to offend him or come off as a slob or such.
