Go to genres: ✓Fantasy: low fantasy, high fantasy both are good. I live me some magic but it's not a requirement. ✓HP Universe: because I grew up in the books. I will state though that it needs to have a good hook, something new than just marauders or replaying the books. And except for a one time thing ages ago I won't play cannon characters without a lot of good reasons.
Genres I avoid: ×Real world location urban fantasy is my exception to the fantasy genre. I'm not good a geography or local history of my own corner of the world let alone others ×Romance for romance sake. I need something else going on. Romance in a RPG is fine but I'm not usually one for slice of life romance. I have been known to break this rule IF the world building and/or scenario sound amazing ×Slice of life and academy based stories- typically these stagnate after the everybody introduces themselves or the structure gets too complicated and everyone ends up out of sync. They're messy and I've always regretted getting involved
Other interests: IRL I am a scientist and a witch. I play multiple instruments, I am trying to learn a new language (Japanese) and I read a lot. I also play a lot of WoW, and board games. My tabletop RPGs have naturally died off over summer as people end up busy with lives and adulting but we should be due to start back up again soon. Oh, I also watch things like TV and anime, and I'm partial to a nice craft beer.
...and I have a cat and he is adorable and I love him so much and *gush*
