Act well your part; therein all honor lies.
1. My name is Katt.
2. I am 23 years old.
3. I make a living standing in front of a camera.
4. I'm in the Pacific time zone.
5. I enjoy numbered lists because I have numerical OCPD.
6. I work odd hours, so I'm usually free to roleplay.
7. I am very shy, but very friendly. If you want to talk to me, I love making new friends. If you don't, that's okay too.
8. I have two dogs, two cats, and a rat. I also foster kittens.
1. I play my character, you play yours. This is one of those obvious ones, I think.
2. I go for realism. My character might have all kinds of fantastical superpowers, but they will fuck up and they will get hurt. Everybody has weaknesses. Plural. Physical, social, mental, whatever.
3. Not everything is a walk in the park. I want struggle. I want conflict. And I don't believe in love at first sight (lust is another matter entirely).
4. I do not have any limits when it comes to violence, gore, or romance. That being said, none of those things are my priority. First and foremost, I want a good story! Some of my characters have potty mouths. Some of them are super innocent.
5. I prefer my partners be over the age of consent if we're planning an adult themed roleplay. I can't reinforce this, but I'm throwing it out there.
6. Typos happen, but please have a decent grasp on the English language. If I have to decipher your posts, I'll give up eventually.
7. Help me carry the plot. Feel free to throw new characters in, take others out, and do whatever you want to make an interesting story.
8. Have fun! No, really. That's the whole point. I used to be one of those snooty roleplayers who demanded a minimum word count (400) and blah, blah, blah. But you know what? Roleplaying shouldn't be a chore. Seriously. Do what you need to do to make it fun. I don't care about post length nearly as much as I care about creating a fun story. (: Let's work together to make something awesome!
1. Hawksong.
Medieval Fantasy ish. Based on a book. If you haven't read it, that's okay. I don't play cannon anyway. Two nations are at war. Nation A is known for being prudent and cold. Nation B is rather hedonistic and dark. Tired of bloodshed, the prince and princess of each nation meet in secret and plan to get married. Not because they love or trust each other, but because they feel it is their duty to sacrifice their lives for the good of their people. Then there's culture clashing, and intrigue, and all that fun stuff. They have to put on a strong front for Nation A to earn the support of their people. For Nation B, they have to feign passion and love in order to gain the support of their people. But can they really learn to work together and trust each other? I do prefer to play female for this. I can be from either the light or the dark nation. If you'd like to discuss MxM or FxF we can because it's a fantasy and who cares! =P
2. Another Medieval Culture Clash.
Character A comes from a magical forest dwelling society. Character B comes from a sophisticated society looking to expand civilization (and gain more power). The two people are at war, with each side believing the other is evil. The characters meet when Character B gets lost in the forest, and Character A has to bail him/her out of some kind of trouble. Neither trusts the other, but when a common enemy binds them together they'll each discover how unstoppable they can be when they work together. I prefer character A. MxF, FxF, and MxM are all valid options for this.
3. Something Modern/Fantasy.
Character A isn't human. He's stronger, deadlier (a demon, vampire, werewolf, whatever). But he can't let anyone know that. No matter how much Character B's friends harass and pick on him. One day they take it too far and, in an attempt to kill him, injure him very badly. Character B finds him, not knowing it was his own friends that did it to him. When Character A (angrily) tells him who was responsible, Character B panics and offers to help, knowing that it's partially his fault too. Since Character A refuses to go to a hospital, Character B brings him to his own home. At some point during taking care of him, he discovers his inhuman secret. They become friends. Then more. But Character A struggles to protect Character B from his monstrous world, and Character B struggles between being loyal to his friends (and his popular lifestyle) and being loyal to his heart. I prefer Character B. This can be MxF, FxF, or MxM.
4. Modern Faerie Tale
Character A can see Character B. The problem is...she shouldn't. Character B is one of the sidhe, the faerie folk. And humans haven't been able to see them for a very long time. The shift in human belief from the supernatural to the technological has left Faerie withering and dying. Character B, recognizing that this human may be the key to saving his people, becomes obsessed with bringing her into the Mound. Everything Character A sees and touches seems to regain some of its lost power. Unfortunately, Faerie is not as bright and shining as it seems and humans rarely walk away unscathed. Furthermore, Character B is a member of the Unseelie Court, home to some of the most dangerous and terrifying fae in the world. And everyone wants a taste of the power ridden human. I'll play either character. Again, MxF, FxF, and MxM are all valid for this.
