She bantered back, but soon - like everyone else most likely - her attention was captured as Mimic began to berate the two late students. Kat fell silent and stared down Mimic. Her investment in this conflict may not have so pure motivations but she would always be prepared to stand in Mimic's way if possible. Kat saw another student slink in late and slip to the back of the class. Hopefully for them Mimic would be to involved with the other two to notice them.

Seeing Kaden turn to look at her from the corner of her eye she listened and simply replied, "Of course." However her actions betrayed her words as she made no sign of moving.

"Mean and smart? What a damning review of my character. There's far more to me than that, I mean you didn't even mention how beautiful I am." She said with a theatrical hurt before dropping the act with a laugh. She heard the voices at the door and looked at the late-comers and the odd pair they made. A blue-skinned boy leading what appeared to be a blind girl, both of whom were new; they had the promise to be interesting at least.

Kat watched the idea evolve with vague amusement. However, despite the fact it was her suggestion, she didn't plan on joining the bet. It was small, it was harmless, yet she felt the need to keep her hands clean in all parts of her life. An invested interest always lead to the pointing of fingers when the event eventually occurred and in the unlikely event that it could be linked to her in anyway... well, clean hands. The situation was prevented from escalating much further anyway when Kagerou introduced herself, and shortly after when the bells rang. And just like that, the routine began again.

Power Development would of course have to be the first class. Her dislike of Mimic was no secret which certainly didn't help improve her attitude towards this class. But Kat filtered in regardless and took a seat next to Kaden. "Something the wager may have to be clearer on is what is defined as a disaster. For if something were to happen to Mimic, I'm not sure disaster would be the word I used." She said with a small smirk, before falling silent as the professor began to introduce himself once more.

From behind Kaden came a light laugh as Kat strolled up to them. "And there I was thinking I'd be first to offend." She said, watching Kyle walk away. She put away the papers she had been handed during her re-enrollment and gave a quick look about the school before them. Well, she certainly hadn't missed it. Noticing a new figure in the group Kat stopped and smiled. "Oh, sorry, I hadn't seen you. I'm Kat." She didn't push the introduction as he didn't seem to want to look anyone in the eye, instead speaking more broadly again. "So when can we start placing bets on how long until the first disaster?"
