@smarty0114 - Archer

After introducing herself, Leila only heard one reply to her words. She smiled at the… robot? Why was there a machine in the room? It couldn't possibly be a part of the Sentinels program, could it? Has technology advanced that far? It seems as though the dark skinned girl was very behind in the current state of the world. Lebanon was lagging behind other countries technology wise, but she didn't know it was this far behind. Since no one else seemed to acknowledge her presence, Leila sat down in a provided seat near the entrance. It was a habit she developed back when her skills were bought. She didn't dare talk to anyone else. She didn't want to make those not talking uncomfortable, and she didn't want to intrude on other's conversations. So she listened, picking up on any conversation that might bring her information about those around her. It seemed as though many people had connections with the Sentinels program from before it shut down.

However, one piece of information startled the Arabic girl. There was a criminal among them. Instantly, Leila disapproved of the criminal’s presence, but then realized that she had no right to judge. After all, theoretically if she had been caught, she would have been considered a criminal as well. This person with the skull painted on was perhaps trying to change such as herself, but after more listening, she reached the conclusion that this girl did not regret her actions like Leila did. What is this program doing, hiring known criminals for their supposedly noble cause? It's not good for publicity, it's dangerous, it's reckless, and quite frankly, ridiculous. These annoyed emotions bubbled deep in her mind, but her face never gave a hint of what she was thinking.

Finally, after more people arrived (and she thought SHE was late), the person who seemed to be the leader walked in with Hollie. His presence demanded attention he spoke with authority. He clearly knew what he was doing. Archer O'Connor was someone Leila knew she wouldn't mind working with. As he explained their situation, Hollie came by with a surprisingly thin cream folder. The assassin made sure to say, ”Thank you,” quietly to the mission manager. She didn't want to interrupt Archangel’s speech, but wanted to stay mindful of her manners as her parents had taught her. The mission itself seemed to be right up Leila's alley. An ambush and assassination. However, why send this many people for a job that didn't suit many of them. It was obvious that some people were not made for this kind of work. Plus this many people would be a hindrance to the group as a whole in terms of completing the objective quickly and efficiently.

Leila wanted to express these concerns, but someone else spoke first. Was this plan 'too perfect'? Hardly. Clearly there wasn't much information about the individuals they needed to kill, which is very important when the situation gets sticky. That way it's easier to predict what the target will do and find a way to make them hesitate with your words. Not to mention, this meeting was way too soon for it to be convenient. Usually one would scout the area days ahead of time. This situation was not perfect or even desirable. Though the question about the validity of this information was something she'd like to know as well. As much as Leila would have liked to address his concerns, she decided to let the leader handle it. That way he can prove to everyone that he is capable of leading. Not to mention, she didn't really want to take the spotlight.

After Archer answered the metal man's answer (she couldn't tell if he was a robot, or someone in a robot suit), the previously quiet girl spoke up. She was a bit nervous about talking in front of so many others with their attention all on her, but this issue needed to be addressed. ”Excuse me, Mr. O’Conner, but are all of us going on this mission? This many people seems excessive, not to mention some people are not suited to this task. Also as you mentioned before, it's difficult to work with others in a high risk mission without knowing each other personally as well as everyone's skills. The more unknown people, the more room for error.” Leila tried to make it quick, but ended up talking more than she should have. Also, she shouldn't have said the last part, the leaders had no control over that. But the words had slipped out of her mouth when the idea formed in her brain. Damn.
Luca Graham

With perfect timing, Luca’s next roommate came into their shared room. They looked like the type that could pass as either male or female. He was curious and didn’t quite know what to make of the new addition, but he also didn’t want to be rude and straight up ask. The first words out of their mouth was an innuendo off the blonde’s words. Of course, Luca didn’t mind. But then, they commented about Vermillion and him being attractive. Was that a normal thing to say in casual conversation? The senior didn’t particularly think so, but his two new roommates seemed to find it just fine.

Luca didn’t even get to introduce himself. Vermilion did it for him. He just simply smiled and waved when his name was mentioned. He also made sure to say “Hey.” It seemed as though his room was going to be quite lively between his two new roommates. Did she just say party? Oh boy, just how frequent would these parties be? Also how can you have a party is such a small room? However, Luca didn’t get the chance to ask these questions since the intercom came on and a familiar old voice announced orientation. Before the announcement even finished, the more energetic roommate had taken off like it was the end of the world. Yesh, why was she in such a rush? Once the announcement was done, Luca strolled over to the door, just about to exit. Just before he passed the threshold, he turned his head over to the remaining person in the room, “You comin’?” He asked, before continuing his way to the assembly hall.

Once he arrived, he found some of his old friends to sit next to. They had taken a back row and ushered him over. They all merely chatted while whoever was on the podium was talking. Some of his friends seemed to have an amazing summer, then again, those people were kinda rich. When Vermilion got on stage, Luca paused his story. “Hey, that’s one of my roommates.” He commented. The small group all looked up at once to see the slim girl basically spew word vomit. “That oughta be fun,” the guy next to Luca chuckled. The blonde just rolled his eyes and elbowed him harshly. “You gonna go up there?” Another guy asked. “Naw, I don’t really feel like making a fool out of myself today,”

Leila rolled her single luggage and carry on behind her. Everything she owned manage to fit in one large suitcase and a smaller carry on. Simply paying for the suitcases themselves was quite the expense. However, now that she was a part of a government program, her family would be receiving quite a bit of money. Now out of the airport, Leila saw a large line of taxis by the exit. Already, she felt out of place since everything was in a foreign language she knew nothing about. The dark skinned girl heard a man call out to her. “Do you want a lift miss?” He asked. She saw him leaning against his cab, smoking a cigarette. She didn’t really approve of the action because of the adverse health effects, but she decided to get in his cab anyways since she didn’t want to be mean. “Ah, yes. I am heading to the Sentinels Headquarters.” Leila said, dragging her luggage behind her to the back of the car. Her Arabic accent was thick since she didn’t use English a lot. The driver with his own weird accent looked at her funny. “The Sentinels Headquarters? Uh, yea. Get in.” As the two drove around, the foreigner tried her best to make small talk with her driver, but they couldn’t really understand each other.

“Where on earth is this stupid Sentinels building?” The taxi driver grumbled. He had been driving in thick traffic for a while, and it seemed as though he had no idea where he was going. Leila was annoyed, but didn’t hold it against her driver. Maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe it was his first day? Nonetheless, the arabic girl spent her time marveling at the skyscrapers in the city. Her hometown had been one of the more developed cities in Lebanon, but this city was on a completely different level. Beirut didn’t have towers that tall, or uniquely designed buildings. It took forever to finally reach the Sentinels HQ, but by then her bill had gotten pretty high. However, Leila still made sure to tip heavily. Her sister would have done so. The building itself was amazing. How could it stand so tall? She stood gawking for a moment before remembering that she technically had a meeting and she was late. She grabbed her things and rushed inside. Immediately, she was greeted by a blonde girl with pale skin. “Hello! Are you Leila Samara?” She asked, a grin brightening her features. “Yes, I am.” Leila smiled back. ”Great! I’m Hollie Hills. I’m the mission coordinator of our new group. I’m glad to have you on board!” Hollie lead her to an elevator as she spoke. ”The pleasure is all mine,” The Lebanese girl responded, being polite. The two managed to make small talk on the way up. The view was amazing.

Once she reached the top, Leila saw that there were quite a few people already there. Assuming she was the last one, she decided to introduce herself. ”Hello everyone. My name is Leila Samara. I look forward to working with all of you.” She greeted. Hopefully she’d be able to get along with anyone. It’d make her job easier. Plus while Leila did her best to be kind to others, sometimes it was really difficult.
I'm okay with starting it on Monday. I'm patient.

The opening ceremony was the same as usual. Ayah didn't understand why the sophomores and juniors had to attend it. It was mostly a motivational speech and they hardly needed the motivation. Honestly, all anyone had to do was turn on the TV to find the motivation for becoming a hero. It was just like becoming a singer or actor, most people wanted to have that occupation, so there's not really a lack of motivation. However, it was nice to get hyped up for the day. Or at least, more hyped up. The one thing Ayah had been curious about was who her homeroom teacher would be this year. She didn't really have a preference, but she just wanted to know. Unanswered questions drove the curious girl crazy, especially when the answer wasn't far away. That's not to say she doesn't like surprises…

Anyways, the ceremony ended with the different grades grouping up with a teacher. It was only logical to assume that this would be their homeroom teacher. Ayah quickly got up from her seat when Snow White called the sophomores over. She liked to be up front even though the tour would be over things she already knew. In moments, she lost her companion that she had been talking to earlier. This didn't phase the excited girl, though. She was too busy focusing on the words that tumbled out of the beautiful woman's mouth. Perhaps she'd learn something new? Or at least be of assistance to someone with a question. Ayah thought that maybe the new students should get a tour on their own, so as not to waste class time. But hey, she wasn't a teacher, so what did she know?

After a while, Ayah did become a bit bored and started to fall back in the pack. She didn't mind Ms. Baumgartner, she was powerful, beautiful, and kind. It was simply the lack of new information that made the tour uninteresting. Once most of the things were out of the way, the group headed towards the indoor gymnasium. Ayah's interest was piqued when Ms. Baumgartner started new student introductions. New students were always fun to meet, not to mention many had interesting quirks. Unfortunately, though, one guy in particular got called out. When the brunette looked over at said person, she noticed that today didn't exactly look like his day. However, he did explain that the bandages were because of his quirk. Ah, poor Sou. Hopefully he learns quick, then he won't have to suffer as much of a recoil from his quirk.

Snow White then asked for volunteers to introduce themselves. Something could be said about a person who volunteers to go next depending on how they go about it. Ayah didn't say anything. Normally, she'd be all for going next, but if she remembered correctly, only new students were introducing themselves. However, she did look around to see who would go next.
I'm still here. I'll see if I can get a post up tomorrow.
Luca Graham

Luca stood at the door of his closet, adjusting the way his gi sat on the hanger. He’d probably have to iron it later since it got wrinkly in his suitcase. He absentmindedly kept singing along to the music, not really paying attention. After a moment of silence, the song changed to something a bit slower. It didn’t exactly fit his mood at the moment, but he didn’t feel like changing the song. The blond continued singing. Through many years of martial arts, he had pretty good breath support. This was good when calling attention or if he was at a party or something, but bad for everyone around him when he was singing.

He didn’t hear the door open or close, but once Luca heard a voice join him, he instantly dropped the hangar with his more formal clothes on it. In his mind he realized someone just heard him singing, and turned a little red. However, his body instantly went into ‘fight mode’ as he was trained to do. Unable to stop his movements, the senior whipped around and held his arms up in front of him as if to protect his face. After realizing this new girl was probably his room mate, Luca dropped his stance quickly, hoping she didn’t see that. Well, it was too late now, might as well just pretend it didn’t happen or laugh it off. Probably both. He listened to the new addition as she sang. Hey, she was actually pretty good. Better than him anyways.

The embarrased male kinda recognized the girl. She had hosted quite a few parties he had been forced to attend in previous years. If memory served him right, she was also on the Student Council. He hoped that wouldn’t affect his daily life. Not that he was a troublemaker, but sometimes Luca didn’t adhere to the rules because he thought they were stupid. Even though she was still singing, Luca decided to talk to her. It’d be a bit weird if he just stood there staring at her. “You have a pretty good voice,” He said, smiling. “I assume you’re my roommate? My name’s Luca, nice to meet you.” He walked over to where she was standing to help carry in one of her suitcases. He had taken the single bed so the only other options were either the top or bottom of the bunk bed. “I hope you don’t mind me taking that bed over there,” he gestured over to where his stuff was splayed out on his nicely made bed. He actually should have put some of that stuff away before a girl came in, but oh well, it was too late. “Do you want the top of bottom bunk?” Luca asked, setting her suitcase by the foot of the bed.
