It is an age of scientific revolution and unprecedented exploration, a golden age where humanity has finally delved from their home planet, Earth, and into the vast abyss of space. It is an age where humanity has taken to the stars under one, unified banner, the Federal Systems Alliance. The Federal Systems Alliance governs a vast, diverse empire that extends several galaxies, each galactic region separated by vast oceans of space. Its frontier is plagued with piracy and rumors of extra terrestrial aggressors spread throughout the colonies.

The Federal System Alliance Navy (FSAN) has been tasked with the most difficult task ever transposed to a single organization. To protect mankind. The FSAN is comprised of nearly a hundred million servicemen and women and is the most formidable military that mankind has ever lay eyes upon. Its space fortresses stand vigilant watch across the galaxies, its ships patrol the stars and its personnel serve as its life blood.

It is the year 2449, humanity has unified and reached across the stars...

"This is Shark Lead! All units break off formation and engage! They have us surrounded!"

The super cruising Typhoons whirred to life, their afterburners punching through space and sending the formation hurling forwards. Blue streaks of light trailed off as a single Typhoon broke off from formation. Yellow warning lights blared across a holographic screen, warning the stoic, masked pilot that stood behind the integrated displays. "Shark Two. Breaking off." The softly spoken words traversed through his helmet and into his radio. The Typhoon plunged sideways and into space before yawing to the side, the fighter pilot moved the agile superfighter with grace, pulling backwards on the stick and skillfully aligning the interceptor to engage the foreign targets that were firing upon them.

As the lone fighter broke off from formation, the yellow warning lights hued to a crimson red, warning the pilot to multiple radar contacts, "Confirmed. Seven Coyotes. Engaging." The pilot calmly called. Slowly, his thumb trailed over to a nearby switch before gently manipulating the unit upwards. "Weapons armed." A robotic voice resembling a female cooed over his integrated heads up display.

A sharp whirring sound emitted within the cockpit of the Typhoon, its automatic, hyper kinetic cannons winding up before unleashing a flurry of shots across the abyss. Streaks of light emerged from the darkness as an enemy fighter dove out of formation and spiraled out of control before tearing itself into oblivion. Judging by his enemy's incompetence, he could easily tell the sort of enemy he was engaging. Space Pirates. A ruthless group that controlled much of the sector, they were numerous and unrelenting. Where there was one, there would be many, many more.

The lone interceptor danced with his enemy among the stars, weaving in and between six enemy fighters, the superiority of the Aurelian HI-09 Typhoons matched with the pilot's prowess made him an unprecedented force to behold, and before long, six enemy wrecks lay among the stars, destined to be swept away by the galactic abyss. As the fighters were defeated, several waves of enemy fighters replaced them, creating an endless cycle that would break them down, causing the elite squad of Federation fighters to eventually wither and die.

"This is Shark Lead, enemy frigate spotted! It's the Black Ship! How the fuck did they get the drop on us?!"

Off in the distance, a pirate flagship emerged. A behemoth of great scale that rivaled the largest of Federation crafts at the time. Of course, attacking it with such a small fighter squadron would be a suicide mission. Akula knew that, and so did his squadron leader. "I advise disengaging." The stoic pilot remarked into his radio, his hands never ceasing to pitch his fighter back and forth, engaging the multiple enemies that were assaulting his squadron. Everyone in the squadron knew that it was too late to break off and escape, their only option was to fight to the death.

"This is Shark Lead. All units, engage the enemy frigate. For the Federation!"

The Typhoons whirred once more in unison, breaking off from their current dog fights and assembling into a wedge formation, It was a desperate suicide rush to knock out the ominous black frigate that stood before them. The Typhoons were interceptors, not bombers, and therefore had no missiles or heavy ordnance to knock out the frigate with. It was then when one of the fighters decided to break off from formation.

"Shark Two, where are you going?! Shark Two! Get back in formation! AKULA!" The radio blared as a lone fighter pulled backwards, soaring up and above his squadron before pivoting back downwards.

"I'm sorry. But I can't die today. Not here. I still have something that I need to attend to. But do not worry. I will give you all the glorious deaths that you seek."
"All registered personnel to Unit Code 32-97-42 report to Hanger Bay Alpha. The Vigilance is now making final preparations for departure."

Lieutenant Akula woke up abruptly in his officer quarters, the sounds of gunfire and engines still blaring in his ears. He was aboard the Auroria, a space fortress that floated just outside the atmosphere of humanity's homeland, Earth. The space fortress was a massive complex, rivaling that of some of humanity's largest cities. The Vigilance, a new Chevalier-class battlecruiser that was docked at the space fortress was preparing for departure, a dreadnought of unprecedented scale, the Vigilance was already famous throughout the three Federation galaxies, and it hadn't even been deployed yet. For three months, the ship had been docked in space, making final preparations and organization before the crew would be allowed on board.

The grizzled war veteran pulled himself out of bed, quickly washing his face before turning towards the MK. 7 helmet that he always wore in public, slipping the robotic unit over his head before gathering the few belongings in his quarters. With that, he would soon leave the Auroria for good, traversing down the hallways of the space station and towards the alpha hangar bay, where the Vigilance remained docked. As he made his way to the hangar, personnel awed and gossiped at the sight of the infamous pilot, the pilot that was known only as Akula.

Am I accepted?

Yup, sorry about that. I added your character to the front list.

Working on the IC now, though it probably wont be up until very late tonight. Have lots of classwork that needs to be done. We are still accepting for those of you who haven't joined yet. I advise people to finish their character sheets if they haven't already.
Hey guys, I'm back now. I'm probably going to start writing the first post for the IC and get the final preparations to start on the way. We do however need a few more active players just to make sure things work. The setting for the first post will be a board a docked station, the personnel are being transitioned and briefed on the Vigilance for the first time before sortie.
Sorry for not being on much today. I have to do a ton of work for school and wont be active again until Monday. Until then, yes we are accepting.

Well, Field Officer wouldn't be right at all. Because a Corporal isn't a commissioned officer. As far as I recall, a Corporal isn't even an NCO

Corporals are considered NCO's in the US Marines and US Army.

In any case, I'm pretty satisfied with my app.

Yeah it looks good. I'll update the link in a bit here.
Sorry for being absent yesterday. Things have been a little busy. Spots are still open and we are waiting for one or two more sheets before we begin.

Full Name: Miranda Chevalier
Callsign: Mirage

Gender: Female

Age: 29 Years

Branch of Service: FSA Navy

Rank: (O-7) Rear Admiral Lower Half [RDML] - One Star Admiral

Military Occupational Specialty: Captain of the Chevalier-class Battlecruiser "Vigilance"

Appearance:

Personality:
Miranda is intelligent, young and confident. A habitual smoker and off-the-books type officer, she is not afraid to break military protocol when getting the job done. She has large shoes to fill, being the daughter of one of the most renowned military officers in Federation history. She has a deep understanding of advanced naval tactics, having written two award winning manuals "The Intricacies of Naval Command" & "Three-Dimensional Chess" before she had graduated from Earth's prestigious Sigma Federation Naval Academy. Many consider Miranda a prodigy, others a pretty face with no experience and a famous father. Either way, she cares about her crew and hopes to bring her knowledge to further her father's legacy.

Biography:
Miranda was born a single child to James A. Chevalier, the former Grand Admiral of the Federation System Alliance Navy before his legendary death at the Battle above Lazarus ten years before the completion of the Vigilance. In his respective honor, the six battlecruisers sent to space were named the Chevalier-class Battlecruisers and the Vigilance was named after Chevalier's flagship "The Vigilant" which was overwhelmed and destroyed by rebel forces in the decisive battle. At the age of 17, Miranda was enlisted in the Federation Naval Reserves and sent to the Sigma Federation Naval Academy, where she graduated from the four year institution in just two years after scoring a perfect score on the Naval Officer's Exam, a feat unheard of among the service.

At the age of 19, she was already a Lieutenant and a master of naval strategy, writing several books and developing many theories on advanced strategies. Despite her overwhelming lack of combat and command experience, her advice was commonly sought after by her senior officers, and before long she found herself serving as a personal aide de camp to the current Grand Admiral of the Fleet, Markus Aurelius, where she displayed an overwhelming affinity for command.

When the Chevalier-class Battlecruisers were laid down and the sixth ship was christened as "The Vigilance," The Federation Naval Brass had no capable members of the admiralty to command it, thus a vote was declared for a suitable commander. By a narrow margin, Lieutenant Commander Miranda Chevalier was selected to serve as the captain and commanding officer of the Vigilance. To bring her up to the command level required of her station, she was promoted a full three grades to Rear-Admiral, a position where many question if she is capable of handling.

Full Name: Classified
Callsign: Akula

Gender: Unknown, Presumed Male

Age: Unknown

Branch of Service: FSA Navy

Rank: (O-2) Lieutenant Junior Grade [LTJG]

Military Occupational Specialty: Fighter Pilot - Red Squadron Leader

Appearance:

Personality:
Akula is cold, calculating and cunning. He is an ace pilot that cares not for the safety of others. He is obsessed with the concept of victory, and yearns for an opponent that can test his mettle. An enigma, he does not socialize or even acknowledge the existence of fellow personnel, only able to acknowledge the concept of orders and his enemy. Casualties for Akula, are just a statistic.

Biography:
Much of Akula's life is shrouded in mystery, his service record and even his medical history are classified to everyone but the highest of the command staff. As a result, many rumors have spread across Akula's service history, including his gender, age and even his existence has been often scrutinized, with many service members considering Akula's exploits "impossible by any mortal pilot"

Akula is the poster child for the famous Aurelian Industries, the designer and sole manufacturer of the HI-10 Whirlwind. He was the first pilot to fly and test the new fighter, and the exosuit that he wears is a prototype flight interface system that is currently unavailable for Whirlwind pilots. His helmet is commonly found plastered on Aurelian Industries advertisements, and when he is not flying for the Federation, he is commonly reported testing new designs for the company. This has been the cause of many ill-rumors, many of which claim that his true loyalties lie towards money and glory rather than the good of the Federation Navy.

Akula's service history is as mysterious as Akula himself. The only factual history dates only several months ago. Former Commander Akula was one of the most decorated ace-pilots currently flying for the Federation. However, a freak accident where one of Akula's wing mates was suddenly sent spiraling into a pirate frigate during an ill-fated ambush sent Akula to the Court of Military Justice, which tried to prosecute Akula on the claim of murder, stating that he "...deliberately and intentionally engaged his own wingman, sending Lieutenant Seraph straight into the bridge of an enemy frigate." While he was accredited yet another astounding victory, the murder of one of his squadron was considered questionable.

Akula was found innocent to the account of murder, though many in the military who had analyzed the evidence found his acquittal incredibly suspicious. Because of his nonchalant attitude to the ordeal, and Akula's outright refusal to attend his fallen comrade's military funeral, the Federation Brass found Akula unsuited for the rank of Commander, demoting him a full, three grades to "Ensure the safety of military personnel under their respective command staff."

To many's surprise, the Demon of the Round Table has emerged once more, to command half of the 53rd Fighter Wing as "Red Squadron"

Can I join this RP?

Of course.

@Dawnstar Looks good. Though that hair is definitely not within Navy regulations. Please see ordnance 347-33C for proper hair grooming procedure and report to a barber immediately before you board the Vigilance. We take uniformity very seriously here at the Federation System Alliance Navy

@Nerendier Looks good so far. Please finish it when you have the chance.

I'll add you both to the front page in a bit.
