This is my first RP, so I honestly have no idea how to do it, any tips would be great. I think having a character like that would be great! Then they could be helping the others with magic, or just going and doing their own thing. I'm find with that, it sounds very interesting.

Yeah, I was thinking maybe the group of slaves could bust out of the jail and join the rebellion against the wizards. The wizards magic is kind of interesting, they pull energy out of other things and convert it into magic power. If one was standing by a fire, and wanted to burn a tree, they could take the energy of the fire and from there expel the energy from their body and burn the tree. The leader is just a random guy who decided that the wizards were being unfair and decided to fight them, but he's extra powerful because he learned how to steal the lives of wizards. Like with the wizard and the fire, only this guy and pull the energy out of humans as well as plants, lightning, etc. If you want to join your character can have magic of a kind, either forging, where you can create temporary objects out of other substances. Like a sword of fire, however that would use a lot of energy. Or converting, where you take the energy and convert it into some other type of energy and then eject it at something else. Or witchcraft, where you mostly deal with potions and healing herbs. Things like that, or you can just be a warrior, and fight magic with physical attacks.

This is my first RP, and so I'm not sure how it will go. The story is below, if anybody is intrigued, please apply. Each person gets to make their own character, so I won't be starting with a character. The Five people in the following are going to be whoever joins. Here I go.
Fire, smoke, ashes, cinders, that is all that is left of the large city of Firebrand after a group of magic wielders attack. The people are enslaved and the king is killed. The once free people of Firebrand now enslaved by powerful wizards and warlocks are sent to mines. The mines are cruel, and any rebellion is squashed. Five teenagers have lived in the mine since they were very young, and have never been free. But they are determined to try to leave the mines, if only to spite their jailers. However, the surface is in turmoil. A new leader has risen from the ashes of Firebrand, and is daring to oppose the Sorcerers. But the most startling thing of all is, he might actually stand a chance.

What am I supposed to be doing here? Like, how should I introduce myself. I suck at these kind of things, but I really do love things like DnD, and other RP games. I guess that's why I decided to try this out. I'm going to get right down to what I like in a role play. Depth, if it doesn't have depth it isn't interesting. Good characters, they are the story. And a plot, it's okay to have it swerve around a bit, but I like it to have a plot, one goal they are trying to fulfill the whole story. So, um, I'll probably start a RP. Anyone who wants to join please do!
