Name: Andrew Star (family changed name to get out from under fear of 'Communist China")
Age:35
Gender: Male
Appearance: 5'5" 150 with a gymnast build. He know's he's not the most physically intimidating of heroes.
Bio: (Backstory. How did they become a Vigilante? What have they done so far?)
Personality: He tries to be calm and collected, but try finding inner peace in a warzone. He's not one of these folks killing in the name of 'justice', he tries to maim rather than kill, but he will not die for an ideal.
Vigilante Name:Backup
Costume: Abilities/Skills: (Remember, you are a human being.)
Physically stronger than his body would suggest, he has been training since a child in the ways of
Choy Li Fut from his mother. It is the only martial art he knows even though most assume he would know Muay Thai once they know where his family is from.
He served on the Police Department for ten years and got into Special Crimes Unit early in his career. He learned their ways well and puts those skills to use daily.
Speaking Thai and English at home, he also studied French in school trying to chase a girl as well as Russian when offered by the police force.
Weaknesses: With his focus in close combat and point blank firefights, one of his biggest weaknesses is medium to long range engagements.
While he knows how to breach and bypass standard locks, his skill set never taught him much about electronic security measures.
When in operations, he drove the large troop transport vehicle and even as a civilian he keeps to a low maintenance, dependable, boat on wheels. He can drive from A to B and remembers the police vehicle training, but lets just call his driving skills 'rusty'.
Equipment: 'Megamesh' was a working title for this material being developed in OZ labs as the next great thing for solider defense. A body stocking with a polymer blend of multiple agents with the defensive rating of full kevlar but the weight and mobility of a wet-suit allows it to be worn under standard armor for increased protection when needed or else worn by itself when the situation requires it.
There was one prototype suit developed but was assumed lost in a robbery by a powerful gang whose group was later apprehended by the city's police force. The outfit was never recovered.
Body armor: Civilian class kevlar he bought one piece at a time from different gun stores all over the city. His helmet is actually a motocross helmet with a gasmask installed in the front with polarized lens to protect him from flash/strobe lights. He is still susceptible to concussion/sonic damage.
Grenade: Simple army surplus flash-bang to disrupt enemies before engaging.
Razor lined handcuffs: Based in a torture device of sorts, they are spring loaded and scalpel-sharp. If you stay still, they cannot seriously harm you. But the more you struggle or twist, the cuff will keep cutting until your hand falls off at the wrist.
Fire Axe: Simple dependable two-handed hatchet for cutting down doors or people.
Guns: While a high melee opponent, he is not so stupid to not use a firearm. When the need arises, he carries two 45 long colts, the one on his hip is loaded with armor piercing rounds While the one on his thigh can safely fire .410 shotgun rounds. He prefers the revolver over an automatic because of no ejected shells to leave behind as evidence, not some cowboy thing.
Combat Canes:
When he was a police officer, he taught 'cane fu' to the elderly and disabled but was taught the ways of 'tiger hook swords' and so he blends the styles together. Useful for a myriad of purposes, he is constantly adapting and modifying them as the needs arise. Some of the modules are:
Razor handle: A spring-loaded razor edge on the inner crook of the cane allows him to have a quick cutting hook if needed for things like cutting lines.
Grapple handle: The crook rotates to reveal 3 thin hooks of metal 60 degrees apart and a spool of 100 feet fishing line with 300 lbs weight limit.
Stun stump: the bottom six inches of the cane are a cattle-prod like device to taze enemies in conflict.
Snap extension: Going from three feet to six feet can make all the difference sometimes.
Storage: Hidden compartment to hold stuff or put away evidence.
Alignment: Neutral Good
He is a good man, and a spiritual man. He tried to keep in balance while upholding the rules but the rules themselves are out of balance. Law, justice and fairness are not in alignment.
Reputation: Because he never patrols by himself and any pictures show him behind the others; there is a split decision if he is the tag-along sidekick or some sort of leader since he will team up with so many others.
Accord Compliance: He applies with the Accord when he is in uniform and will bring in any vigilante. When he is in costume, he does not obey the accord, obviously
