@None _________________________________________________________________________________________________________Ethan stood within the back room of Madam Malkins shop in front of a quite large mirror, his reflection in the mirror subtlety changed directions on its own and show him from and back views of the clothing he was wearing. As his reflection slowly turned back to face him it slowly changed in a misty haze into another man completely. The man standing in the mirror now was of the same height and build, but his hair was pitch black and heavily receding, his face was weathered and a finely trimmed beard of grey and white covered his chin and mouth which all but couldn't take away from the cold dark green eye's that seemed to stare back at Ethan. Ethan stared into the green harsh eye's as the world seemed to spin for a second and just for a moment he was nine again, the dressing room in which he stood turned into a large study comprised of blackened wood and antiques which lines the various bookshelves that lined the room, he now stood on a large old rug in front of an antique desk where his father sat before him glaring into his eye's. An Albanian accented voice seemed to echo thickly within the room, a voice so cold and emotionless:
~~~~~~ "You will not embarrass this family Ethan, I will not have any son of mine associating themselves with a lowly pathetic mud-blood. You are to break off contact with this girl immediately and you will not again approach her. Do you understand me boy?"
Ethan stood with his head down now as his father forbade him to see Emily, his fists were closed into balls as he tried so hard not to talk back to his father. He could not stop seeing Emily, she was his best friend and his father would take make it so they could never see each other again.
"I asked you if you understood me boy! I will not have this family's name sullied by this dirty little mud-blood witch! You will answer me now!"
Ethan clenched his fists even tighter as the anger welled up within him at his fathers words towards Emily, looking up his eye's hardened and bore straight into his father as he spoke:
"No..."
Ethan watched as his fathers eye's became like angry black orbs as he stood up from his desk and towered over the young boy, Slamming his hand down on the desk the old wood creaked from the solid blow as Ethan stood his ground.
"What did you say to me boy!? You had better rethink your last word because I will not be disrespected by my own son in my own house! Do you understand me!"
"No... I don't care what you say anymore...
Ethan sputtered the words out as his father became red in the face, coming from around the desk he brought his hand up and it came crashing into Ethan's face, it was a clubbing blow as he fell sideways and smacked the floor.
"How dare you speak me like that boy! I am your father and you will show me respect! If I forbid you from seeing that filthy little mud-blood then you are going to listen to my commands! There are no questions, no discussion, you have not earned the right to have your own opinion or say in the matter!"
Ethan grabbed his face as he slowly stood back up, blood was drizzling down from his nose and onto his shirt as he started hatefully at his father who loomed over him. The anger inside him welled to its breaking point as he took a step towards the looming figure.
"I said no! I refuse! How dare I for talking back to you!? How dare you for talking about my best friend like she is nothing more then a piece of trash! Your a piece of trash father not Emily, you!!"
Ethan turned from his father and walked towards the door of the study, an angered voice echoed behind him filled with hatred and contempt.
"Don't your turn your back on me boy! I am your father and you will listen to me!"
Ethan ignored his father still clutching his face, reaching out he grabbed the door knob to leave the study, suddenly out of nowhere his entire body was convulsing in severe pain. Ethan fell to the floor as it felt like hot white knives were piercing every inch of his body at the same time, his head felt like it was going to explode as he quickly lost control of his senses or where he even was, he opened his mouth to scream but no sounds came out as he writhed in agony on the floor, for what only lasted mere seconds felt like it has last three years. The pain stopped as suddenly as it began, Ethans eye's were hazy from the pain as the figure of his father loomed over him, the man he despised looked down upon him the wand in his hand pointed down at him. Putting the wand away he bent down to Ethan and bore his eye's into his own and spoke coldly:
"If you will not break your connection with that mud-blood then I will do so for you... one day your going to thank me boy."
Ethan tried weakly to say something but his entire body felt like it had been drained of all energy, he could but do nothing as he lay on the rug slowly slipping into unconsciousness. ~~~~~~The world around Ethan slowly returned to the dressing room in which he stood in, the reflection in the mirror swirled slowly and his own reflection returned as he slowly turned his head and looked around silently around the room. The memory fresh in his mind stung as if it had happened only yesterday, back then he had not known what his father had done to him only that after that moment life was never the same again, not for him it was an event that had long haunted his dreams as he was growing up. Your did not need and Eidetic memory to remember such a moment in life, but having one did not help him in the end either but only intensified the moment for him. Ethan sighed and tried to think of happier moments to erase the sudden onset of such a terrible memory, he just merely let himself think of the new year and the new students and soon enough a smile was back on his face. The clothing fit perfectly on him, Madame Malkin had like always did a wonderful job. Gathering up the boxes of clothing left for him he stuck his previously worn set of clothing in a box and decided to wear this out instead, a change of cloths couldn't hurt nothing.
Walking back out to the front of the store Ethan saw Madame Malkin helping the younger students, setting the boxes on the counter he did not interrupt him. It was rather rude of him to just come in and steal her away. It looked as if the tape measures were finally done measuring and the young students were getting their robes. Ethan crossed his arms as he leaned against the counter and waited for Madame Malkin to finish, he only hoped the kids didn't blame him too much for leaving them to the measuring devices, after all the one thing he did not want to do is impede Madame Malkin's work and have her send those tape measures after him like she did the first day he walked in her shop all those long years ago.
