In his own abode, it wasn't uncommon for Aldous to enjoy a glass of red wine with his meals. Of course, the stuff he had at home had lower concentrations of alcohol, not to mention he didn't drink any midday, let alone when he had work to do. As the pair, and a third, much younger new comer arrived and opened the bottles, the smell was strong enough to make Aldous dizzy. "Oh my" he covered the bottom half of his face.
"I don't suppose you've got any water do you?" he asked Tao.
Aldous's finished sword had been lain out on a table. It was away from him, but always kept at least in his periphery. Aldous needed to make sure it was alright at all times, after all. In spite of disruptions, Aldous was glad he was given the opportunity to have a meal.
