Height: 5’9” Race: Aaenshi Gender: Female Occupation: Second Elder Location: North End A Brief History: Born to a small clan, Azura was never happy with her low position in the hierarchy and eventually forced her way to the top. A skilled warrior, she defended her title as ‘Alpha’ with ease, never bowing down to any male or female that dared challenge her, but rather took them head on and destroyed them. Her ruling over her clan lasted until she was 150 years of age before she decided she wanted more than what she had been given.
Mind made up, she traveled to the city of Enigma, a place where she worked just as hard over the next 25 years to gain access to the North End, easily passing any and all tests they threw her way. Despite her rise in status however, she continued to visit a small book shop she had grown to like in the West End run by a Harpy and what appeared to be her Servant, a half elf Drow. When she left the West End, she had told them that she would continue to return to their shop to go through their selection in search of rare titles, a word she kept over the years, even after she had become an Elder.
Other: Aaenshi are different. Very, very different as they nearly always have two sides to them, usually a more neutral side, and a side that only seeks to destroy. Aaenshi are always trying to wrest control of themselves, and have a high sense of logic. Since they live a very long time, Aaenshi often are deeply tortured, always fighting between remaining neutral and acting on the one fatal flaw their creator bestowed upon them… the desire to kill.
Name: Joslyn (Lyn) Vulcas
Sex: Female
Age: 17
Experiment Tier: Test Subject
Enhanced Trait 1:
Enhanced Vision:
Josyln’s enhanced Vision allows her to see with almost startling clarity, making it possible for her to pick up on the smallest of details when she is out in the field or simply trying her hardest to blend in and collect intel. Along with her ability to see clearer than the average human, she is also able to see things further away without the aid of a scope, giving her the ability to be an amazing sniper, though she does not classify as the best as she knows there is always someone out there better than herself. While she can see well enough in the dark, if the area is completely devoid of any form of light (i.e moonlight) she is unable to see just like any average human.
Enhanced Trait 1:
Downside: Light Sensitivity
While Joslyn enjoys the perks of being able to see far and in complete clarity, this enhancement caused her to develop an acute sensitivity to light. Due to this, she must always wear sunglasses until nightfall and, unless the room is dim enough, while under artificial lighting. Part of her counts this as a blessing in disguise as it offers her a way to hide her eyes from those who are looking for her, as they are the most notable feature that she maintains. Should she be subjected to bright light (i.e a flash bang) without the proper eye protection, her sight is rendered useless until such a time that her retina’s are able to adjust and right themselves.
Enhanced Trait 2:
Heightened Reflexes
While she is unable to dodge bullets, Joslyn’s reflexes have been enhanced in order to allow her reaction time to be far greater than the average human. The messages that travel from her brain to her limbs take far less time to communicate the need to do something, allowing her to react faster and take less time to process situations as they occur. Her heightened reflexes also increase her rate of fire depending on the firearm she is using at the time and aid her well in hand to hand (or overall close range) combat.
Enhanced Trait 2:
Downside: Twitchy
Due to her uncanny habit of twitching, whether it is when someone touches her or when she is forced into a fast reaction time too many times in a row, Joslyn attempts not to rely on this ability too much. While engaged in close combat, should she take a particularly hard hit (or a harmful hit in general) her body’s reflex is typically over exaggerated and could potentially cause more harm than good to herself.
Faction: Poltava
Appearance:
Height: 5’7 Weight: 145 lbs Distinct Feature(s): HeteroChromia (LE Green / RE teal)
Clothing: See second picture for shirt style, typically wearing black jeans or slacks and a pair of black sneakers. Due to her light sensitivity, Joslyn also wears a pair of sunglasses that she rarely takes off.
Personality: Joslyn prefers to keep to herself when she can, though she is not shy by any means but seems far from approachable due to the fact that she always looks rather mad, even when she is not. Usually very straight forward and blunt, she hates to sugar coat things and is usually the person to go to if you want the hard truth about something. Once one gets past the bluntness and permanent ‘I will kill you’ look, she is overall a fun person to be around who enjoys a good joke just as much as the next person.
Weapons: SR-25 (Semi-automatic special application sniper rifle 7.62x51mm), PMR-30 (.22 magnum), and a few well placed throwing knives.
Equipment: Emergency Kit Containing:
Lighter
Compass
Camelbak
Disposable Cell Phone
Emergency Tinder
Magnesium Starter
Emergency Rations
First-Aid Kit (small)
Canteen
Aqua Iodine Tablets
S&W SWAT Knife
Mini LED Flashlight
GERBER
Bio: Taken at a young age, Joslyn does not have much of a childhood to remember as she spent most of her years in a facility being put through an array of tests. While she remembers nothing that happened between the ages of 8 and 16, she can remember what few years of clarity she had with her Mother and Father. Both of her parents always seemed to be happy and madly in love with one another, a feeling they also shared with their daughter who never went without. She always went to parks to play with the other local children, a place she assumed she was taken from as she could not remember anything leading up to the week that shew as taken. Despite many attempts to try and recollect the eight years of memories she did not have, she had nothing to show for it as every attempt resulted in a failure.
When she had managed to escape the facility with the Three Kings, Joslyn had attempted to find her family, wanting to go back to them, to let them know that she was ok despite her genetic modifications. When she got to the outside of the house she remembered living in eight years ago, she found it in the state that she had left it, immaculate and well taken care of. However, when she peered inside, she saw only a shadow of the man her father was sitting in front of the television with beer bottles all around him and a young boy pleading for his attention.
Not being able to take the sight before her, she left without so much as knocking on the door and found her way into the Poltava faction. While she could fight if need be, she preferred doing things from afar, or simply not at all as she isn’t much of a violent person unless the situation calls for it. While she finds no pleasure in what was done to her, she could not bring herself to join the faction that actively attacked the government, despite the fact that she blames them for everything that she saw through that window.
At present she volunteers as a sniper when one is needed, doing her part in an attempt to earn her keep with those she decided to join. While she has no issues with remaining in the shadows, even she is aware that there are times when violence is a necessity and when the government is after you, sometimes that necessity happens a lot.
Name: Idris
Gender: Female
Race: Winged Elf
Age: 23
Origin: Venoir Mountains
Personality: Idris is often a soft spoken girl and very shy. When alone, she tends to stay away from dark areas and other people, but if someone tries to approach her, she usually turns and runs. When it comes to her friends, she speaks often and tries her best to help them, as she is also a very caring person and hates to see people suffer unnecessarily. Even if she does not know the person, more often than not she will run to someone's aid if she sees them getting hurt.
Looks:
Affinity: Thantos
Nullomancer: Yes
Special ability: Do to growing up in the mountains, Idris is an exceptional climber and used to high altitudes and cold weather.
Background: Idris grew up in the Venoir Mountains with a small tribe of about 300 Winged Elves, a race that not many people knew of, do to their resemblance to the Cauhri, it was normal for them to be mistaken until the wings were spotted. Their wings were the most notable feature to their species, a feature that she was actually lacking as they were too small for her to experience the gift of flight. Growing up, she was often picked on and excluded from the many things that her people often partook in which left her to explore the mountains on her own. Do to the fact that she could not fly, she was forced to become rather adept at climbing and running.
Eventually, Idris’s differences forced her to leave her home as she could no longer stand the constant jeering and rude remarks towards her underdeveloped wings. Packing up her things, she left the mountains to explore the world she knew so little about. It was during her exploration that she came across a man named Kali-En by pure accident, the very man who took her under his proverbial wing to teach her the way of Nullomancers. She was happy to find someone who did not seem to care that she was different than others, and since her own people were not something that people saw often, she was more or less viewed as a Cauhri with small wings.
She found she rather enjoyed her training with him, though she constantly found herself having to on guard as she wasn’t sure what to expect with being around only a male. She had been told that she would only be training with him for about a month before she would be sent off to train with someone else, something that she began to get nervous about as she was not entirely used to interacting with other people. She had taken to wearing a cloak to hide the wings that she sported, finding that the stares slowly came to a stop as there was really nothing about her that warranted being stared at.
Name: Alanis Cosette
Age: 20
Origin: Tours, France
Mutant: Yes
Gender: Female
Appearance: Alanis is around 5 '10' and weighing around 175 lbs, with long blue hair, pale complexion, and deep emerald eyes. Still wearing the remains of the luxurious blueish white robes she wore the day she left her home in Tours, along a rope belt to keep her valuables on her. She wears Black baker Eternity Boots, her Bow and Arrow across her back, with the string and arrows hanging by the quiver by her side for fast access. Buried beneath her remaining robes is a hip holster for her pistol and In her boot is her knife.
History: Coming from the city of Tours, Alanis was the sole heir of an aristocratic family that could stretch their lineage back to the French Revolution. Her father is very high in the social ladder of France and even has some political pull in the current government while her mother took to raising the young girl. Her mother was a very soft-spoken but spirited woman who raised her with a kind heart and a strong sense of common morality.
Even when struck by the Paige Disease at her teen years her mother kept her new ability a secret from her father, fully knowing Alanis would be disowned if he found out. Sadly one day even the brave efforts of her mother couldn't hide her ability, and sure enough as she feared Alanis's cold father tossed her out of the only home she ever knew. As for her mother the last she heard was being forced into a divorce and sentenced to jail for an unknown number of years.
Driven wild in rage Alanis almost went through killing her father, but the begging of her mother sparred him from a horrible death. Alanis's mother's last word's to her as she escaped Tours was "Living well is the best revenge my daughter, I'm proud of you." With those, and her hope has lead here to far away America, in the city of New Haven, California in hopes she will be able to live a normal life away from the discrimination she now endures.
Do to the transportation systems being rather unreliable, Alanis ended up spending some time in various parts of California before she finally managed to make it there on foot, spending a rather extended period of time walking there. Having moved from place to place for a long time, the walk didn't seem to be too much for her. At least, the was until she finally reached the last leg of her journey for the city that she hoped would provide her with a new beginning.
Gift/Power: Alanis has the talent of control Metallic object around her, bending anything to her will. She can only control that element though so if not in a place where metal is readily available she will not be able to use her power. Also she has a high metal count in her blood, meaning if there is enough blood freely from her or a amount of people she can manipulate the blood into solid red materials.
Fear/Curse/Sickness: Steel Cocoon = When she goes beyond her mental limit to control the metallic objects around her, Alanis soon has immediate flashes in her mind of the day when her father threw her out and disowned her. That sense of loss and pain drives Alanis's consciousness to grab any metallic object nearby, sending the inanimate objects circling around her with increasing speed.
Soon, if not stopped, Alanis will encase herself in a metal cocoon, and the Cocoon will fall to the earth to remain there until Alanis regains control of herself. If she doesn't regain control of herself soon there is a real danger that she could suffocate if she doesn't free herself or outside help forces the cocoon open. Once freed Alanis will lapse into a deep slumber and a slight fever, of which in a day or so she will recover, yet the experience would drain her emotionally and physically.
Personality: Alanis is often a soft spoken girl and very shy. When alone, she tends to stay away from dark areas and other people, but if someone tries to approach her, she usually turns and runs. When it comes to her friends, she speaks often and tries her best to help them, as she is also a very caring person and hates to see people suffer unnecessarily. Even if she does not know the person, more often than not she will run to someone's aid if she sees them getting hurt and when she is mad, you better watch out, it's not pretty for the person or the surrounding buildings. Items: She has her mother's bow and arrow, a 3 1-2 inch trench spike which was an old family relic, and her 9mm pistol. Also of note is the locket around her neck, which she never talks about.
Other: She can speak Prefect French and English as part of her upbringing. While she can use the 9mm pistol in self defense she is no marksman, but with her archery talent she can be very deadly. She also loves growing gardens where she can, as she loves to see new life grow wherever it may be. She hates Hospitals though as it reminds her of some very dark times
Name: Raphael Dufour
Age: 20
Origin: Florence, Italy
Mutant: Yes
Gender: Male
Appearance: A skinny and sickly looking boy since he was born, Raphael stands at a fairly tall height of about 6 ‘1’ with striking white colored hair. As he grew older, Raph was determined to try and protect his twin Alanis. Throughout the years his body became a lean and muscular as he practiced several martial pursuits such as horsemanship, swordsmanship, lacrosse, and even scuba diving.
Around his slim neck is a long white scarf that always seems to be fluttering in the wind, even when a breeze cannot be felt by anyone else in the area. Raph is usually seen wearing a tight fit black jacket with matching color pants and even black boots. All of this black attire is in stark contrast to Raph’s pale white skin. Hanging at his side is a Han Solo like belt with a scabbard fit for the sword he carries around.
History: When Raphael was born, he was the fraternal twin of a female named Alanis, but was separated from his sister upon birth. His father, a rather wealthy man, noticed that something was not right about is son. Fearing it to be an indication of a future outbreak of the Paige disease (Which it was), his father immediately told the doctors that they did not want the boy, only the girl, and that the boy should be put up for adoption immediately, should he survive. Though the doctors were curious as to why the man did not want the son, they did as they were instructed and put the baby up for adoption once it was able to leave the hospital.
Around his second birthday, Raphael was adopted by a young couple that also happened to have the paige disease, though their powers were only minor ones; they where able to live comfortably with their powers. He grew up in a loving home where it became apparent why exactly he has been left at the hospital and sent to an orphanage that housed child mutants. Every time Raphael got angry, it seemed that the wind would begin to pick up, which would scare him to the point that he was no longer angry.
When he was fifteen the Paige disease finally did hit Raphael like a ton of bricks. He went through the phases but since his adopted parents went through it as well they where able to help the young boy themselves instead of actually taking him to the local hospital. He recovered fairly well considering the fact he died, but to his parents they where just glad he survived the ordeal. After a few months they told him about what he had become, knowing it was right to at least let him know what was to come.
By his sixteenth birthday, he could manipulate the air to do what he wanted, whether it be to pick things up or slice things in half. He usually only used his power to help his adoptive mother with dinner, often using it to chop up food in a single blast. He never questioned himself on whether or not his powers were normal because he grew up using them and not suffering the taunts of others.
On his seventeenth birthday, his adoptive parents told him about his biological family, how he had a sister and exactly why his father turned him away despite his mother wanting to keep him. His mom gave him a small locket that had a recent picture of his sister in it, and told him that they had kept in contact with his real mom this entire time. Raphael was both angry and saddened by the news, but decided that he was going to search for his sister in the last place he was told she was, California.
On his Journey, he ended up running into some police officers that worked in New Haven and decided that he would help them. He figured he would need a job anyway and what better way to find his sister than to work with the PD?
Gift/Power: Manipulate Air
Fear/Curse/Sickness: When Raphael becomes enraged; the air around him starts to form into a tornado, destroying everything and everyone in its path. Depending on how angered he is, he can manipulate the tornado enough to just go after the very thing that had caused him to go into a fit of rage, but unless he Is calmed down, the tornado will not stop until everything around it is reduced to a pile of rubble.
His fear used to be afraid of harming other's, mostly his adopted parents. But since living with two parents who where mutants as well the Paige disease was relatively NOT an issue ... until he found out about his sister and began to worry about her, causing the Paige to infect that fear. Now Raphael’s biggest fear is that something will happen to his sister, causing him to lose the only real family he has left.
When that fear settles in, he seems to become an empty shell of his former self, his usual self in a hibernation mode. While like this, he will go on a rampage of his own, hunting down whoever harmed his sister and killing/harming, anyone who gets in his way. The only way to snap him out of his stupor is to have Alanis assure him that she is ok, or for someone to prove to him that his sister is alive and will recover from whatever injury she has sustained.
Items: Raphael only carries two weapons with him, A .380 Bursa thunder plus and a bastard sword that he carries on his back by a chest strap.
Other: Raphael is Alanis’s Fraternal Twin brother and he absolutely despises their father for abandoning him when he was an infant and for kicking Alanis out just because she contracted the Paige disease.
Name: Summer
Race: Elf/Shifter
Age: Looks to be either 17 or 18
Gender: Female
Height: 5’7”
Weight: 140lbs
Appearance: As she is a slave Summer is not allowed to wear clothes. Her lithe elf features show the early stages of youth, from her milky white skin, her rich shoulder length blonde hair, her long elvish ears that spike out from her hair, to her ample bosom. Her one odd feature aside from being a normal young elf in the spring of her youth is her violet eyes and a scar running horizontally across her right cheek just under her eye.
Since being with under Ostel’s care, he often lets her wear his fur cloak and a white sun dress he bought from a random passerby. Due to her fear of being punished again for something she can't control, Summer stays close to Ostel to avoid being taken by someone else.
Personality: There is little to be said about Summer’s personality as she rarely speaks, so much of what can be said is taken from her nonverbal acts. She seems to be an obedient slave, who tries her utmost to see to her master’s needs. When confronted by someone on the road about being a slave she merely hides behind her master. She is however a very thoughtful and kind elf, who seems to understand what people need without asking. Whether this was due to her years as a slave or her natural state of mind is anyone’s guess.
History: Long ago in the center of the human continent, a small sect of elves in one of the few forests refused to go with their brethren to their homeland of Tellus. These elves told their departing kin that they would rather fight to protect their homes that they lived in for generations rather than run from mere humans. Saddened but respecting their wishes most of the elves left with heavy hearts. Years late as tensions rose between the remaining elves and the encroaching human settlers the elf leaders of Tellus made a brutal decision not to go to war with the humans over so few. So the elf leaders turned a sad eye as their outcast kin fought to defend their pathetic strip of land from the Human’s influence … alone.
In time the stranded elves lost this bitter conflict, and thus they became slaves to their human masters, of whom the chief among them where the ancestors of Grimward. While at first the humans where cruel to the conquered elves, in time they allowed some elves small privileges as loyal servants or valued concubines. As these few elves gained knowledge of their past and wisdom of their own, they decided to rally their enslaved brethren to revolt against their human masters to gain their freedom.
It was not a happy ending for either side.
After a brutal few years, the revolt was put down and the measures against the elves where never questioned as being too harsh. To start the elves were not allowed to wear clothes to remind them of their transgressions, also they were not allowed to carry or use weapons, and not to speak unless spoken to. Fearing the seed of another revolt the humans went so far as to kill off any elf over the age of a hundred so no one wise enough would educate the younger generation with the ideals of freedom. The recent images of slaughter and chaos made many humans who normally would have said something against this turn a blind eye.
Summer came to the Grimward a few years ago as a prized slave of the highest stock, her delicate features making her privileged to lay with the noble Grimward children. Soon however on the night when the eldest tried to sleep with her, Summer panicked, and in the confusion kicked the young human. In a rage the man grabbed a knife and retaliated against her, giving her the scar she now has across her right cheek.
After the eldest son of the Grimward had their way, Summer was given her punishment the next day. The young elf was confined in a cell in the dungeon for over a month, and then to be executed. Oddly enough however the sentence was withdrawn to the shock of many. Magnus Grimward, the head of the Grimward family spared the elf, upon request from his bastard son Ostel. Then in a stunning move which no one saw coming, least of all the weakened and scared Summer, she was given to Ostel as a “gift”.
Since then the young elf has barely spoken a word and merely does her duty as best as she can. She now fears what would happen when Ostel turns his gaze upon her like his brother did, but too afraid to act against it, and confused as to why she was spared death.
Weapon: She currently has no weapon.
Pet: Summer Rescued a rare white hawk on her travels with Ostel. Once the hawk was well enough to go back to the wild, Summer let it free with a heavy heart, only to be delighted when the Hawk came back to her almost immediately. Since then she has named it Merlin and the hawk has remained with her.
Powers: She can change into a White, Three-Tailed Fox
Strengths: She has a seemingly incredible sense of empathy. Beyond that there seems little else beyond the fact that she is a great climber.
Weaknesses: Currently virtually worthless in a fight, she cowers behind her master for safety as she was taught. She is afraid of others, but can’t help but do as she is told by her master. Also she hates being trapped underground in a cave or dungeon, and might be a bit claustrophobic.
Other: Her violet eyes seem to draw extra attention to her from others, especially from other elves. To counter this her gaze is usually fixed on the ground. Ostel is also working on teaching Summer how to fight so she is able to take care of herself and if need be defend anyone she may soon feel to be a friend.
Name: Alicia Nightwing
Race: Shifter
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Occupation: Mercenary
Personality: Alicia is typically Sarcastic or completely serious, sometimes it can be hard to tell. If she does not know someone, she keeps her words short and clipped, not wanting to waste any more time with them than she must. The only person she ever shows any semblance of kindness to those that she may call friend, giving advice when asked and distributing punishment when told.
Appearance:
Details
Body build: Athletic
Hair: Hip Length
Hair color: Red
Skin color: Pale
Eye/Iris color: Honey
Height/Weight: 5’8 - 150lbs
Notable Features: Scar over her left eye
Clothing Description: Other than the clothing in the photo, Alicia enjoys wearing black leather pants and a Leather half-jacket with a fur hood, her chest covered by nothing but bandages. As she rather not sacrifice comfort, she alternates between wearing a pair of black sneakers or a pair of black shit kickers depending on how she is feeling that day.
Alicia can create, shape and manipulate air, the common name given to the layer of atmospheric gases and various compounds (mostly oxygen and nitrogen) surrounding the planet Earth that is retained by Earth's gravity, and wind, movement of air relative to the surface of the planet. It is an important factor in determining and controlling climate and weather, and the generating force of most ocean and freshwater waves. Wind occurs because of horizontal and vertical differences in atmospheric pressure, and include breezes, squalls, gusts, whirlwinds, zephyrs, gales, tempests, and hurricanes.
Since air cannot be seen by conventional methods, neither can the attacks and derivatives formed by/from it, making it an invisible and versatile weapon that is very difficult to block and dodge. HOWEVER, the more power she uses and the more often that she uses it within a day, the more tired she becomes. Her power tends to take a toll on her body and if she pushes herself too far, she could die.
History Having grown up in a Patriarch home, Alicia was used to her brothers always getting what they wanted as she rarely got what she needed. When it came to the home schooling that her race had as a requirement once they became of age, her brothers always got the best teachers, while the women were only allowed to know the basics of Wind magic. More often then not, Women were only taught how to use the healing properties, and she was placed under the same requirement, though she always studied in secret.
She was caught one night with one of her brother's study books at the age of eight by her father and was beaten severly for her clear defiance of the rules he had set down. Though she was clearly afraid to be beaten again, Alicia never stopped studying and never stopped practicing the type of magic she truly wanted to do, no matter what her father said or did. Eventually, seeing that he would never be able to sway her or even physically stop her from learning as she wanted, he allowed her to attend the same 'classes' as her brothers.
At the age of nine, Alicia experienced her first shift, which was a miracle all on its own, as the average Shifter does not experience his/her first shift until their mid-teens. Seeing that she had potential, Alicia's father began to train her himself, which included both fighting and magic. As the years went on, it became apparent that Alicia was a rare form of Shifter, as the moment she saw a new animal, she could immediately take its shape with ease.
Eventually, Alicia snapped and ended up killing her father for all the abuse that he had put her through and left her home, no longer wanting anything to do with them. No one tried to stop her, her mother cursed her and her brothers were terrified of her, but she just could not bring herself to care.
Personality: WIP History: Iseult was born into a royal family and met her first guardian, Tristan, when she was brought down to heal his wounds that he received fighting her uncle, Morholt. When his identity is revealed, Tristan flees back to his own land. Later, Tristan returns to Ireland to gain Iseult's hand in marriage for his uncle, King Mark of Cornwall. She is betrothed to an evil steward who claims to have killed a dragon, but when Tristan proves he killed the dragon Iseult's parents agree to marry her to Mark. On the journey back to Cornwall, Iseult and Tristan accidentally drink a love potion prepared for her and Mark by Iseult the elder and guarded by Brangaine, Iseult's lady-in-waiting. The two fall hopelessly in love, and begin an affair that was believed to have ended when Mark banishes Tristan from Cornwall. However, shortly after Tristan left, Iseult went with him, abandoning her title and her marriage to a man she did not love.
Their years together were many, in which they both traveled the globe whether it was by land or by sea. In 1330 they took part in the Battle of Posada, though only three days, and assisted Basarab of Wallachai, contributing to the man’s defeat of Charles Robert of Hungary. Years later they witnessed Transylvania pass a law allowing freedom of religion, allowing some small leeway for Iseult to practice her magic to help the sick, though they still had to move around do to their inability to age, leaving just before the country joined the Thirty Years War.
More often than not, they tried their best to avoid waring countries, but they were not always able too. On a return trip to Transylvania, they witnessed Chancellor Samuel Teleki inaugurate the first library, something Iseult was pleased with. Then, only four years later, the fall of the Holy Roman Empire was experienced, causing both mass confusion, the reorganization of the Hasburg Empire, effectively becoming the Austrian Empire; and then the inevitable move in from Russia. Hell, they had even seen the birth of the New World, someplace they only remained for a few short years as they did not like the idea of taking land from those who had lived there first. Though they also witnessed the destruction and consolidation of said people.
It was in 1856, just as the Crimean War was coming to an end, that her beloved Tristan was violently and tragically ripped from her grasp. She never received any notification, didn’t go out to the battle with him, but the sudden pain that tore through her chest, the violent sickness that rolled through her body, and the aching loss that settled into her chest was all she needed to know that he was lost to her forever.
She just wanted all of it to end, so much pain, why wouldn’t it go away? It was a constant question in her mind after she had lost her beloved Tristan to a bullet through the heart. She hadn’t been able to get to him in time, he wouldn’t let her go to the battle with him and that had been his downfall. She had told him his pride would be his downfall, that he was too cocky, but he would not listen to her. Iseult had gone so far as to throw herself from a cliff, wishing to let the waves of the sea take her life from her so she could join him again, only for something to tell her to sail to the small island of Japan. It was there that she met Kenji Otomo, a young samurai in the Meiji era.
It was this young man that brought back the spark of life to the tired witch, for when she saw him dying of a near fatal wound to the chest, she was reminded all over again of her dear Tristan. Despite the battle that raged around her, she rushed to Kenji and took his armored body into her arms, a near panicked look in her eyes as she placed a hand to his wound. As a soft glow began to emanate from her hand, she did her best to heal his wound, though the small remnants of the iron caused the healing process to be entirely too slow. Not wanting to waste time trying to heal him in place, she used her magic to secure what humans were around her in place before she managed to lift the man and leave the battlefield.
It was in her home that she treated Kenji for his injuries and attended to his needs, utilizing the many natural remedies she had taken up along her travels and years of life. Over the time the two spent together during his healing period, Iseult grew to have feelings for the man, but questioned if she should try to bond with him as her wounds still felt fresh from when she had lost her last Guardian. While Kenjo knew there was something different about her, she had only ever focused on using natural remedies, refusing to use her magic around him for the time being as she did not wish to scare him away while he was still in the process. Eventually, she had shown him what she was and had even gone so far as to ask him if he would like to stay with her until the day either he was taken from the world, or she was finally killed.
The rest is, as you would say, history...

Personality: Fiercely Territorial, Vocal, Lacks a Filter, Loyal, Manipulative Biography: Aeron had started off small, took some of her closest friends and essentially formed a gang that would help some of the poorer residents within the Dome. She never wanted money from them, or personal belongings, all she asked for was their loyalty and she promised to continue to protect them the best she could. Over the course of many years however, her little gang grew in size and eventually, she found herself running more of a mob than an average gang. Despite the change in title however, Aeron never changed how she ran things. As long as people continued to show her loyalty, she continued to protect and be kind, however, if people betrayed her… well that’s a story for another day. As a Jackal, she is fiercely territorial and has no qualms taking care of people who try to encroach on her territory or run any gangs with extreme prejudice. Due to her work, she’s managed to meet a few people during her growth phase, including John Wolf and Twombly Robertson. She had hired John for a few discrete things she needed to taken care of and Twombly was a rather close friend who dabbled in some not so Kosher sales, sales she took full advantage of.

Shade's name: Calhoun (Of Celtic Origin meaning Warrior)
Shade's abilities: At the start, Calhoun starts out almost like a defensive Shade with a mask where a face would be. During the period in which the mask is in place, the Shade is diligent in protecting the intended target. Negative:
Aggressive (Randomly)
Deceitful
Sadistic

On occasionally her psychosis shows through and she becomes far more aggressive than she intends to be, often scaring people and giving her the appearance of a bipolar female or someone who suffers from MPD.

No… no don’t pay too much attention to what I said, don’t read into it… come on, I don’t want to have to hurt you… just believe I am as you see me and not as I really am.
Name: Uriel Jukobo
Age: 23
Shade's name: Aasim (Of African Origin meaning Protector/Guardian)
Shade's abilities: Built to give the illusion of an attacker, Aasim is a defense based Shade who protects whomever Uriel wishes him to. With a high defense, Aasim’s offensive capabilities are pretty much non-existent, forcing him to rely on his sister, Lilith, when the two are together. When alone, he utilizes Aasim as a means of escape as he does not enjoy confrontation despite his ‘tough guy’ appearance.

Positive:
Healthy
Adaptable
Calm
Negative:
Blunt
Calculating to the point of Brutality

However, should he be forced to fight, he has mastered the defensive aspects of as many martial arts styles as possible. Often seen as Charismatic, when with his sister he does most of the talking as she is known to snap at unexpected points, breaking the illusion her pretty face grants her.
Skills:
Defensive Martial Arts
First Aid
Survival
Weapon Restoration
Mechanically inclined
Insecurities:Do I really have to fight them? Come on… lets just talk about this, I don’t want to have to fight… its not worth it. So what if that’s what she said? You don’t have to resort to hurting someone to get your point across. Come on, don’t… just put your Shade away… don’t make me have to… I don’t want to fight… Don’t pull her into this too… I can’t stop her if she loses it. Stop, just stop, I’m can’t do this, I can’t…
Name: Aiden
Age: 35 (nanos stopped his aging at 24)
Project: Vampire
Gen: Second
Appearance:
Alt Appearance:
Abilities:
Enhanced Strength, Speed and Senses Regeneration
Shape Shifting: Wolf form, takes a lot of energy and is considered an ‘oh shit’ button
‘Hypnotism’: Target must have weaker will and must have ingested the Vampire’s blood in order to achieve this. The ingested Nanos operate on the same frequency as their original host and do not alter in accordance to their new host.
Vampire Creation: Not a solid guarantee as not everyone is able to accept the nanos, is only ever done in emergencies and more often than not the potential host dies. Vampire must drain human to a point close to death before having them ingest their blood.
Immortality: Not like your typical immortality, a Vampire can be killed far easier than those of lore if you have the right weapon, or if they simply refuse to ingest blood to keep themselves alive. As long as the nanos are working and they aren’t part human, they can live for as long as they please, or as long as they can fight off those who wish them dead. Those who are half human only have an extended lifespan, allowing them to live, at max, about 300 years or so.
Blood manipulation: Aiden is able to utilize blood as a weapon, be it from him or an external source (i.e a Human)
History: Much like the Creatures of Legend, these genetically modified humans must consume blood to survive. Starting, and ending, in WWII, the United States took both volunteers and convicts to hidden labs throughout the country. Within each lab, a series of nano machine related experiments were conducted in America’s attempt to create the ultimate soldier. As the nanos were introduced into their hosts, most people seemed perfectly fine for the first few days while others experienced nearly immediate adverse effects. A large number of people seemed to dry out only moments after the nanos were introduced to their blood, any existing bodily damage prior to nano introduction having been too extensive. Upon inspection of the corpses, it became apparent that the nanos utilized their host’s blood to power them and because there was not a decent blood to bodily damage ration, it resorted in a very human version of beef jerky. For those who had appeared fine, well they weren’t exactly out of the dark themselves. As the nano machines worked to repair and alter their host to both bring them to peak, physically enhanced, fighting condition, they also made their host jump to the very top of the food chain. In an attempt to ensure survivability, the nanos elongated and hollowed out it’s host’s canines, altering them for optimum blood collection. Of course, this new craving was partnered up with a new found enjoyment towards the taste and smell of the crimson liquid. Once consumed, the nanos immediately begin to distribute the blood during repairs as needed. Once the scientists ensured that the surviving subjects were stabilized, the tests began. Wanting to test limitations, the subjects were exposed to extreme weather changes, which resulted in little to no changes due to the nanos ability to raise and lower its host’s core body temperature within certain parameters. Sunlight? No issue unless subjected to prolonged UV exposure, which eventually weakens then due to low blood levels. Human food? Still needed to survive but no longer a staple. Torture? Good luck, conventional weapons cannot harm them and if you do any damage, the nanos repair the damage swiftly, major damage (as long as it isn’t fatal) is repaired overnight. Blood consumption speeds up the process. Aiden was no different than the ones before him, though much different than the ones that would undoubtedly come after. The son of two currently deceased First Gen Vampires, Aiden currently occupies his time with Merc work for the Council of Vampires. Having lost his mother to childbirth and his father to simply no longer wanting to live without his wife any longer, the male had very little idea how to show much emotion other than anger and hostility. It was because of this defect that he had been chosen to hunt down ferals and dispatch them as quickly as possible, and as ruthlessly as he pleased. At the present time, he has come across a bit of free time as there seemed to be no need for a merc with his specific talents, so he has taken to wandering around at night, mingling with the human populace out of sheer boredom. True to his kinds habits, he would occasionally feed from a human, not really caring if they were willing or not as he could simply wipe their mind of the event by having them drink just the smallest amount of his blood. As far as he is concerned, he has done nothing to merit a visit from the Angels… other than existing that is.
Joslyn settled into the passenger side seat with a small pout on her face, a little upset that he would not let her drive, but did not say much about it. "The way there is fairly simple actually," she said as she buckled her seatbelt and glanced around the car, "Just go down four lights, take a left then a right when you hit the first stop-sign, go down about five more lights and the gym will be on your right. Good news is they have shampoos and stuff there that people leave behind so I'll be able to help Joy scrub the stink from her flesh." Once she finished giving him directions, she let out a yawn and simply flopped to the side, her head coming to rest against his shoulder. She still had every intent on giving him proper directions, but she was rather tired and just wanted to get the other female bathed and back to the apartment so she could sleep.
Adrian could only listen and nod as Jossie rapidly prattled-off her 'simple' directions to the gym, which involved at least three turns, and knowing whether to look for a stop-light or a stop-sign and how many to ignore on each leg.
His apprehension of getting lost and left to his own sense of direction only increased as their fearless-navigator yawned and decided to take a nap on his shoulder. Rather than wake her, he merely placed a hand soothingly on her leg, if he felt like he didn't know where he was going, all he'd have to do is give a gentle squeeze.
But as the directions became simpler with each step completed, he simply rubbed her thigh as they drove right past a parked armored-car by the junkyard so-as not to alarm her, noting that she seemed much clamer and less twitchy now than when they'd first met.
Joslyn mumbled something when she felt him rub her though, a look of confusion on her face as she tilted her head back to look at him, though when she saw the armored car, she dropped down the best she could, her head now landing in his lap. While she was not at all certain that they had seen her, or would find a man driving around with a girl in his car suspicious, she waited a few moments before sitting back up. With a frown, she craned her head to look back at where the vehicle was, then looked forward and remained alert the rest of the time.
Once they made it to the gym, Joslyn climbed out of Adrian's car and pulled Joy from the back seat. "Come on," she urged, her voice hushed, "Lets get you cleaned up and back to the apartment so you can rest up. I'll help you so it goes by a bit faster, you look dead on your feet.
@CreeXLR There is also the option that we right a page each via collab. It allows frequent posts and negates the odd twitch someone may get if there is an accidental out of character thing done with their PC. We can still write a lot, but it would be done as a group and split among those that partook in the collab.
I will be free to post after monday @CreeXLR, I have a paper do then that is worth a large portion of my grade so all my effort has been going into that. Once Class is over I should be free to write up a post for you on Tuesday.
