Those character pictures on the top of the Character page tho... Luc, I think I love you.
Well i'm not sure what would classify as "normal" magical enchantment, but in my mind a normal magical enchantment is a spell woven into an item or weapon that is powered by the mana of the one wielding it, while an item made with Witchcraft is powered by the spirit, meaning even someone without magic, or magical training, can use it. They are also almost exclusively carved from wood. Witch items are sold all around Lucis in markets and such so the most common Items would be wards, against beasts, hostile magicks, etc, the sort of stuff the peasantry would find most useful. That said, Witchcraft can produce more or less the same enchantments as the normal kind. It's simply another method to the same end.Hmm yeah I suppose I didn't really go into that enough. Well since the Lore for Lucis is more or less up in the air I thought I'd add this to it: So I assume that in Lucis magic is a force of nature, like the wind. It's everywhere, but like the wind it is stronger in certain places. Magic is drawn to magic so places like mystical forests, creepy marshes, ancient ruins, these places would have more magic around them. When magical energy clumps together like that it gives births to spirits. Spirits are basically wisps of concentrated magical energy or mana, appearing as intangible floating lights. They show signs of basic awareness and react to the presence of people. These spirits are an integral part of Witchcraft as they are what power the magical enchantments in a Witch's items. Since magic is drawn to magic, the magical nature of a Witch's Familiar is what draws these spirits close enough for the Witch to trap. Edit: Let me know if this conflicts with any of the established Lore.Bolded is surprisingly close to original lore. Anywho, don't see a reason not to let it pass. But riddle me this first, what kind of enchantments can you do with spirits? What makes spiritual enchantment different from "normal" magical enchantments?
@Konami Yes, hello, can you please explain this sentient mana business? That's basically all.Hmm yeah I suppose I didn't really go into that enough.
