Bio

Hey I'm Kori.

I like food, lazying around, procrastinating on papers, sitting on my computer, browsing reddit, playing league, and spending time with my pet rabbit, bunny stew.

I generally dislike long periods of outdoors, no internet and/or slow internet, constant badgering via truckload of nephews and nieces, responsibility, and people who don't understand how proper spelling and grammar works, despite roleplaying for several years. I mean, I'm indifferent to small mistakes, but when people can't comprehend that they're using a comma instead of a period, it MAKES ME WANT TO BASH THEIR HEAD IN WITH A HARDCOVER OXFORD DICTIONARY!

(( Hey, I helped in the fight. :U ))

It sounded like bloody murder above the deck. There were shouts, gunshots, and finally a female-like scream. Someone was dashing onboard, that was obvious. The "Thump thump." of heavy walking was clear, even below deck. She could even hear the loud yell of "I'm in!" That was probably the captain. Did the scream come from him? That would be funny.

Below deck had suddenly become quite boring, and Katewyn decided to see what was happening at top. She left her satchel downstairs, the heavy thing was only making her arm weary. It was full of useless things at the time - Two pistols, a knife, and a few other hunting materials. As she ascended up the stairs, a rather confusing scene met her eyes. A small girl was rocking back and forth on the deck, her face stained with tears. A panic attack? Maybe it was her first time. Hopefully she'd get used to it. Katewyn wouldn't be able to work well with a nervous girl. She'd screw up shots, and activate traps too early. Nerve and aim, that was the key. . .

Once again, she hoisted her rifle up and began to lay down a covering fire. No one else seemed really able to do it - Was she the only marksman here? How unfortunate. The rest of Bogh's men somhow recognized her, and ran for cover. She only managed to shoot someone in the leg before they were all hiding behind barrels and crates. They were constantly showing their weapons and taking random shots, but it was still dangerous. Well. She could only hope that the ship took off soon, and no one got hit.
It hadn't occurred to Katewyn that she had killed more then seven people now. She was comfortable enough with killing humans, but this? Was this supposed to pass as a battle? It was a slaughter. The men weren't exactly weak, but they had no defense from her gun and watchful eye. She had yet to face an equal, a hunter versus hunted.

The captain was now yelling to people to board the ship. In her position, she could have covered their retreat. . . Alas, Katewyn wasn't in the mood. She abruptly halted her firing , and put her rifle back on her shoulder. Then, with a look around, proceeded to walk below deck.

It'd be fine if it was a regular firework that you lit with a match, though. Those have been around for millennia.

Yeah, I suppose I'll edit it to fit that. I'd like North to expand on the tech we have so far, though. :)
While that's true, this IS a steampunk genre. We have floating airships, large enough to host entire groups of people. I can change it to some sort of signal gun, if you think that would be better. I'm just assuming that since this is a bit of steampunk there would be something like that. ( North, if you want me to change it just say so and I'll be on it. )
"I take offense at the fact that you're calling me an idiot, when I just saved your life!" Katewyn yelled over the gangplank. "His finger was coming to the trigger! Shoot first, ask questions later. Especially when they're this sort of thug." Now the captain had ordered everyone to keep attacking, and he had called her girl? Well. This is a great show of disrespect, but she could handle it for now.

She took out a signal gun, and carefully aimed it. It wasn't a very accurate shot, but it managed to hit someone. He screamed as his heavy jacket was set on fire. The firework that had been fired out of the gun hadn't managed to pierce skin, but the effect was very comical. He ran around dizzy, rolling, trying to get the fire away and not realizing it was from his jacket. As he stumbled around, his foot was misplaced on the edge of the docks, which had no barriers yet, and he fell off the edge!

Katewyn couldn't stop herself from laughing. It was a hilarious sight, to her. The others probably regarded her as some psychopath, but it was just so funny. However, there was a job to do. She wiped the grin off her face and started taking potshots at the rumbling group.
Katewyn found herself enjoying the battle. It was not as if she was in any danger. Two of the humans had tried to shoot her with flintlocks. It didn't end well for them. She had managed to get some sort of cut on her ear, though. It was bleeding, but she could tend it later. Boom! Another headshot. So far she had taken out seven of the crowd. They were large, obvious targets. Hunting was so much more fun! How she longed to be on the chase with a creature of her abilities. It was getting a bit difficult for clear shots now. The whole of the group had converged upon the melee fighters, and she didn't want to risk a bad shot. ( Though, of course, she would not miss! ) She simply propped her rifle against the floor and watched the battle with a grin.
Think of Katewyn as Caitlyn from LoL ( I actually based it off her, ahaha. ) she's ranged, with a quick attack speed and high damage. If you manage to stun her / actually get close and dish out some dmg, she can be in a lot of trouble. :)
(( chop chop bang bang. ))

It almost reminded Katewyn of a book. Treasure maps, a crew, evil pirates. . . Too bad books had happy endings. The leader didn't have time to pull the trigger as Katewyn brought her rifle up. The bullets she used were designed to pierce animal skulls, and her shot went right through the dwarf's skull like a knife into butter. It was quite beautiful, actually. A perfect headshot, a masterpiece.

She didn't have time to pay attention to the other crew members, instead went straight to reloading the rifle. It was a lovely weapon, specially designed for her, and it fit perfectly into her hand. When she quickly finished, she slung the gun up and fired. Another one of those scum went down, and Katewyn once again started to reload.
How long do you expect it should take us to launch, North? My character is going to be pretty useless until we're on some sort of island or whatever. ( Then I plan for her to get her head ripped off by a lion or something, idk. ) Until then, I'm going to be a pain in the arse / racist rich person :D
The captain hadn't reacted well to Katewyn wanting to leave, but why would she care about what he though? It was no use wasting her time sitting around, better to go to work preparing. She had just stepped off the gangplank as she noticed the crowd of men approaching. All had weapons, and all looked like unsavory characters. The situation seemed interesting - The older elf had whipped out a pistol. It was now hidden behind his back, and in his other hand he grasped his sword hilt. "Well!" Katewyn thought to herself. "Atleast it isn't all speeches and papers." She had now unstrapped her rifle, and even though it was pointed at the ground, she was already planning on her shots. She'd take down the dwarf first, mainly because she hated dwarfs, but he also appeared to be the leader of the scum.

(( Good shooting! ;D ))
