Lyall watched as Sandra's cards were crushed under the being's steps. If this thing really believed what it was saying about decks having a duelist's heart and soul poured into them to be created, then it was now even more painfully obvious it had disdain for Sandra. For what reason though? Did it just not like the fact Sandra would have been able to contain it had she not made whatever deal she did with it?

The duelist scooped up most of Sandra's deck that had fallen before him, stacking the cards together before placing them in his pocket. The being continued to ask Lyall questions.

"Personal reasons," Lyall said in response to why he would want Sandra back. "As for you though, if you are the spirit I think you are, then I have a proposition for you as well. Your power can be used to help one of my great monsters recover his strength. If you give up Sandra's body and agree to do what I say, then the process will be painless and you'll still be left intact after it's over with. If not though...."

Ryu cut in, smiling sinisterly at him and at the other people before him. Looks like the Infestation Surge from Moth had done its work, now Ryu was tainted with the Iswarm's dark influence and therefore more susceptible to Lyall's.

"Ah, Ryu. Good to see you brother. I trust the taint has been treating you well. Stand down for a while, we can discuss what I have in mind for you later..."

She just doesn't like him. That's why she isn't going to punch him. After all, she only has two fists and there are three of you.Edit: Before I have Bell go breaking faces and every rule of the tournament, I should probably know what rules we're playing by as far as the shadow realm goes.

Are you asking about what happens after someone loses or wins in a Shadow Game? I'm guessing that it's up to the winner to decide what the "Punishment" will be, but if it's something serious like getting put into a coma because the soul got sent to the Shadow Realm, then I'd think both people would have to talk things out.
Huh, what did Lyall ever do to her? And yes, the Arbitrator is one of the cloaked guys.
Kerykeion let out a sound that sounded somewhat like a hiss against the Arbitrator. Someone obviously didn't like the guy. Ignoring this, Lyall grinned at the cloaked man before him. Finally! And he didn't even have to go through the trouble of dueling the other people to get to him! The duelist brought out his own duel disk in case of a duel, but didn't do much else that could instigate the man. He didn't need him as an enemy after all.

"What, this?"

Lyall pulled out the envelope from his inner coat pocket, slipping the card out of it. Now that he could actually see it, Lyall took a good look at it. It was a Level 6 monster card named "Vile Arbitrator"....

...

Lyall honestly expected it to be a bit more impressive than that, but he knew that all cards could have some hidden potential within them. Considering this guy wanted it back, it probably had a role to play in their work, but Lyall decided he wouldn't be giving it back this soon.

"No thanks, I think I'll keep this for the time being, 'Shadow Duelist'."

He slipped the card and envelope back into his pocket before continuing his conversation with the Arbitrator.

"I want answers from you first, and I'd also like to put forth a proposition for you and your two cohorts now that we can talk face to face."
Cool, I was wondering what it was. Reminds me a little of the Meklord Emperor effect,
Lyall stopped when "Sandra" turned around. She still looked the same for the most part, but it was clear that something unnatural had happened to her. She was possessed, and he assumed that it was by the very Duel Monsters spirit Sandra had put all her faith and love in earlier. What an ironic twist. Lyall had heard from Kerykeion that things like these could happen if the wielder of a powerful Duel Spirit wasn't strong enough to control it, or if the individual had struck some sort of deal with the spirit.

The Evilswarm spellcastress descended to the floor as "Sandra" began causing electrical anomalies around her, all while walking closer to her master. She held her Caduceus staff to the side, ready to strike if commanded to. Lyall shook his head, though he did imply that she should stay on guard.

"I have something you need? Funny, I was going to say the same thing to you. It'd be a good idea now for you to return to your rightful place and let Sandra have herself back, I'm not really interested in taking anything from her by force."
Lyall's face probably matched Cybell's initial surprise when Sandra just blatantly gave up the duel and walked off stage. The audience was also surprised and even angry that such an exciting duel had been given up for no apparent reason. Everything from, "What is this crap?!" to "You COWARD!" could be heard from their shouts. Lyall shook his head in disappointment before taking one last look at Cybell. She was still frozen in fury and scorn, which would have been amusing to see if it weren't for the fact she was angry because she had won without truly winning.

Kerykeion leaned over to Lyall. "Follow her. Yamanari didn't exactly seem to be herself when she walked off stage."

Now that he thought about it, she did seem to be in some sort of trance. Might as well go and see what was up. Lyall turned away from the stage and sped off in the direction that Sandra had gone. Entering a hallway, he could see her rounding off into another turn, and so sped up his pace even more until he could see and talk to her without any difficulty.

"We may have just met today, but you didn't seem like the type of person to easily give up a duel when some super sized lizard on steroids pops up. What was that all about?"

Much better. ... is what wouldn't even enter Bell's mind.Sandra gave up in the middle of their duel. Bell doesn't hear her weak excuses.

*Takes a bow*
It is my greatest work of art!
