No worries, I guess I didn't make it clear enough in my post. xD

Fixed!

Nevea only created the shafts alone, nothing around them, because both she and Seth would need to work together to make the actual design, since they're fusing their crystals and ice. Literally all it is right now is:_____.........|.........|The dots are empty space. So yes, there certainly is need of him.

Oh, well I'll fix that soon then xD. Sorry about that.

Waiting for Krein's post.

Posted, though I had him leave the cabin momentarily to see to his own. He'll be back shortly though.

Nevea was fazed not by Seth's laughs. Of course it was a perfectly question, just asked with a slight lack of information. Therefore, it was not at all humiliating. Anyone with a slightly logical brain would be able to see that. "Marvellous," she said, as he finished. "I look forward to seeing just what those effects will be."So, now that we've got the matter of fail-safes done with, it's time we start with the hands-on. We know that we'll need perpendicular shafts, now to work out how exactly we're going to make it." With that, she stood up and formed a circular pedestal about half a metre in diameter. "This'll act as a place holder for the rotation mechanism while we work out the structure." Next, she formed the two shafts, and only the shafts. Nothing around it. Currently, all that could be seen was a pedestal and two bare, thin, cylindrical shafts, perpendicular to each other."If one or two of you could start work on plans for the control pedestal, but without the attachment for the construct for now, that would be just peachy." Two of the Hephestan campers began drawing out plans for that, moving to a small table off to the side to work it out. They of course wouldn't start actually making it, since the exact dimensions of the construct were not worked out yet. Even the current length of the shafts would be temporary.

After Nevea was done forming her part of the structure, Seth stepped up to the table and reached out to it. Several inches away from it, he could already feel their chill. Touching it almost made him shiver, but thanks to the heat of the cabin he was able to keep from doing so. A small spark of crimson energy escaped his fingers and crept into the ice, increasing its mass and size slightly as it spread and solidified into its crystal form. The ice, now a mixture of ice and crystal, acquired a more jagged appearance as Seth mentally guided the crystals to grow and connect with the rest of the structure, forming the rest of the prototype model as he saw it.

"It should be able to support the rotation mechanism now and will change accordingly to what we choose it to be. Also..."

Seth stepped several feet back, grabbed a heavy piece of scrap metal from the floor, and threw it at the ice and crystal structure. As it flew through the air, a jagged portion of the crystals released a small beam of magic energy, deteriorating the metal. Seth smiled.

"This along with your ice magic should provide an incredibly apt defense."

"Oh, I knew that," said Nevea, as Angelo finished. It was a basic concept, after all. "I just hadn't seen the use. Although I'm perfectly sure that the same thing could be done with magic. And besides that, you would then have to get rid of the salt in order to change the colour once more, correct? Otherwise you'd get some sort of mix." She then nodded as Angelo related how they would call the campers."As I said, magic," repeated Nevea, as Seth finished talking about the magical fire he and his siblings could form. "That's perfect. No chance of mixing." With that, she was satisfied with that communication system, and so she waited for Seth's input on the shafts. She nodded when he'd related that they were close to his own designs, and listened to his plan for when the humidity was too low."That's perfect," she said, when he was finished. A marvellous fail-safe, if she did say so herself. That comment was an absurd one. Of course you say so yourself. Did the speaker's brain get suddenly muffled? It was still useful, though. "I'm assuming you'll also be doing something along the lines of infusing magic into the shards? Or would that take too much power?"

Seth actually had to laugh some at Nevea's question. Would infusing some of his own magic to her ice shards take up too much of his power? Ha! Not. A. Bit. Seth had been using his magical powers for quite some time now, there was no way he'd be even remotely drained by doing such a simple action as granting Nevea's ice some extra power.

"Absolutely not. Even if I chose not to, my crystals would do so overtime since they are, as I said before, solidified magical energy. Given the nature of my magic, it will undoubtedly feed off of and taint your creations, thereby making them produce different effects aside from the ones they can already produce."

Nevea thought for a bit about the salt idea, trying to figure how exactly that would help as a relief signal. In a brief and nearly uncaught moment of insane thought, one in particular crossed her mind, that maybe whomever they sent the relief signal could taste the salt. This was utterly insane and disappeared moments after it came. Not being able to think of anything clear and slightly sane, she asked. "What, exactly, would salt do?" she asked, a slight hint of exasperation in her voice, the reason of which, if you didn't know the context, could not be understood.Nevea nodded as Seth addressed them on the complement of her ice and his crystals, while a few thoughts about what they could do flashing through her mind before she continued to listen. She let out a barely-audible scoff at Seth's last comment, and then began to speak. "Once we're finished with this meeting, I suggest you gather Mars and Apollo immediately," she said. The author was careful not to use a redundant saidism, although he nearly put it in there just for kicks. "That way you can form a defence force as quickly as possible."For a good length of the meeting, she had been running through ideas on how she and Seth could form the turrets such that the Hephestan creations needed not be fused in any way. She had found one very good one that would hopefully work well, and so she called for a paper and imparted her idea."Now, since, as I said before, we cannot fuse your creations with mine and Seth's, I've come up with a way to make your mechanisms separate, although still touching." She waved her hand and ice began to form on the paper to demonstrate. She first made the outlines of two shafts. The inner sides, that is, the sides that were nearer to each other, were touching, but the outer sides didn't touch, leaving a square with no outlines. "We can place the construct on some sort of rotating mechanism that will follow monsters." She placed her finger to the shaft leading upwards. "Through this shaft, you can extend the mechanism to here-" she placed her finger on the non-existent square area. "-Where you can make the firing mechanism for the shards of ice that my constructs can form. And of course you can control this all from the rotation mechanism. My construct can form ice shards almost instantly, unless the humidity is rather low, in which case it'll take a bit to gather enough." She stopped here and waited to see if Seth would add anything.

"Fires can burn different colors depending on the minerals thrown into them. Common table salt would just make it burn a different shade of orange, but if it carries different components the flame will change color as they react to the heat."

It was a good system, Seth supposed, but it did have the flaw that those using the salt would eventually run out of it if they were going to be using them every single time they were changing shifts. He had a solution to this though, and that was getting his half-siblings to produce mystical flames that would change color at a given command. One of their mother's symbols were twin torches after all, it would be shame if they couldn't do something as basic as that. Seth told the others about this and then listened as Nevea began telling the room of her design ideas.

"These will do," Seth said as he examined the miniature ice structures more closely. "They're pretty close to what I had in mind anyway."
The fact that they were was enough for Seth to feel assured the design would work well.

"Now, if the humidity does happen to be low enough to give the ice shard creation trouble, that's where my creations' effects will kick in. My crystals are just solidified magical energy, so they'll have no problem in releasing streams of this power to wound and kill, but if not, then they'll certainly leave behind detrimental effects on their targets."

Who leads the Apollo cabin and the mars cabin?

No one as of now that I know of. Just make up random NPCs.
...

Right, well I still think it's important that we stick to established canon (of the events of the series at least). Hades never even tried to steal the Fleece, much less resurrect Kronos. The Titan was also thoroughly destroyed at the end of the Last Olympian, so.... Kira's post doesn't really go well with any of what's been written.

"Of course," she said, in return to his first statement. She was a very matter-of-fact and to-the-point person at times such as this, as she didn't like her time being wasted. That got annoying quickly. Especially now, when they needed to get the defences done.As Seth began to explain his idea, she nodded. She had been thinking of turrets, she just hadn't found the word to explain her thoughts. What he was expression was close to how she'd thought it, and she quite well liked his plans. She waited for him to finish, nodding every now and then, and waiting for her turn to explain. When Seth gave her the table, she began."Besides the chilling effect that my ice constructs naturally make," she explained, "I can make them such that they'll freeze water vapour into ice shards. There won't need to be any fusing-" She looked at Seth. She had heard the conversation in the Big House, after all, and volatility was not an option. She looked back at the Hephaestus campers. "-of your[1] creations with mine, since from what I've heard, Seth's crystals don't exactly fuse well with your creations. I can make them such that you can put any mechanisms inside or outside. Rotation, firing, etcetera, etcetera." That would hopefully ensure that nothing would happen with Seth's crystals, no matter where they were.[1]: She was, of course, talking about the Hephestan creations, not Seth's.Nevea listened to Angelo's proposition, and when he was finished, she nodded. "Go for it with the defence perimeter. And even after the constructs are done. Having turrets is no excuse for not having a proper camper defence, of course." She laughed lightly, a business laugh. Not something for jokes, just how one would laugh at a somewhat-humorous statement. "We can make this work if we work together."

Seth was pleased Nevea was also one to think ahead by further encouraging a demigod defense to accompany the constructs they'd be mentioned. He didn't laugh along of course, as he was never one to break the seriousness of his attitude around others. Oh, he had forgot to mention some of the other effects his crystals would produce, so he promptly did so as soon as Nevea finished explaining the effects of her ice.

"Almost forgot. I can grant my crystals additional effects to compliment the ice shards Nevea's ice will be creating. If you've heard the stories of what I can do with my magic, you should have a general idea of what I can channel through my own creations."

Angelo spoke up afterwards and talked about how he would need more bodies in order to have a more efficient team. Seth had a great idea for that: the children of Mars and Apollo. They were some of the best fighters and archers of the camp respectively, and the latter would definitely be good at spotting threats from far away.

"If you need more bodies," he told Angelo, "I recommend you speak to the Mars and Apollo children. I do specify Mars, as his children are known to be more disciplined and level-headed than those of his other aspect. Unless of course you know of any children of Ares that have surpassed their childish tendencies to show off, they'd be wise to bring along."
I have a bit of a problem with Kira's most recent post. If I remember the original series correctly, Hades was never on Kronos's side. Hell, he even fought against his forces in Battle of the Labyrinth. The one who stole the Golden Fleece for the Titan was Luke Castellan, but he's dead since he killed himself in order to destroy Kronos after he possessed his body.
