I'm changing the story of the Dark Elves a bit; The Elven Kingdom of Lombilar was one of the most powerful, until they were attacked by <something>. To defeat the invaders, the Phoenix Knights of the Elves cut off their supply line, while the Elven King Eldric destroyed the Soul of Nature, a powerful relic that gave life to all the Lombilar Elf Forests. With their forests suddenly withering, the invaders were starved out. However, the surviving Lombilar Elves were now estranged in forests of death and malice, where the once friendly forest spirits and Treants suddenly had their once-calm minds maddened, transforming them into Pagans. The Lombilar Elves were also maddened, and thus were transformed into the Dark Elves of today, who's Pagans demanded their worship and awe.

So, @Aristo, do you want to be the invaders who attempted to conquer Lombilar?

Also, here's my app. It's a bit of a work in progress, so be gentle :

I can roll with that; is there a specific location you've got in mind?

I don't know who black or cyan is on the map.

Not yet. You go ahead and just pick wherever, I'll place my guys somewhere depending on them.
I'll make the dark elves a purplish-grey.
I'm interested as heck but I don't have a solid plan for a faction yet. One thought was a 'third wheel' to the Yore/Rhune Empires; maybe a republic that grew out of a collective dislike of the monarchies, or a lone province that managed to fight an empire off for its independence, a la the Swiss.

But then I thought about Chaos northmen and horse tribes and I'm bouncing between a host of ideas.

If I place my Dark Elves in the north, maybe the Chaos Northmen could be the ones who took their homeland?
Well, I can arrange it. What instead of all being banished, they were an entire kingdom that was forced to leave by some other invading race. Would anyone volunteer to be their enemy that forced them from their home?
Well, if it really sounds cool, then I'll go ahead and fill out an app for them.

Their extended story is that Elves who defy their kings are banished to the Paganlands, a wasteland ripe with dark magic, ruled by corrupted earth spirits known as Pagans. In exchange for helping Dark Elves survive in such a dangerous wasteland, the Pagans demand the Elves submit to them, warping their appearances while infusing their worshippers with dark magic. For years, the Paganlands fought amongst themselves, as each Pagan Circle sought to drive rival Circles into submission, increasing the power of their own Pagan. It wasn't until all other Pagans were defeated by Arrak, the Defier. With all Pagan's defeated, the Paganlands were united into one mighty empire, ready to take vengeance upon the Elven Kingdoms that forsook them.

So does that sound interesting?
Maybe I'll make a mix between Forest and Dark Elves, as an empire of Swamp Elves that worship dark nature spirits, known as Pagans.
I'll probably go with an Elven Faction, either High Elf or Dark Elf.
I got another concept fleshed out, boss:
The Wendigo
Long ago, four tribes of Wendigo ruled a mighty empire together, with the power to call mighty Tengu spirits to assist them. Unfortunately, in an age known as the Age of Pain, the ties between the material world and the Tengu's Spirit domain was snared, watched by a powerful demon that devoured Tengu attempting to cross between realms. Without aid of their spirits, the Wendigo lands were invaded by outsiders, and countless Wendigo were killed. Both the Mountain and Field tribes went extinct, while the Swamp and Forest hid behind the Twilight Veil. Luckily, souls of the dead Mountain and Field tribes had rooted in the natural world, becoming the New Tengu. With their ancient power returned, the Wendigo have been preparing for hundreds of years, to reclaim their lost homelands.

Good? Needs Work? No?

Sorry but slime people are just a bit too out there mate :\

Ah, I see. If you'll still accept me, I could create a different faction.
