Young Justice; The Heroes of Today! [IC and OOC]

Just in case everyone's been wondering why I've been so silent, it's not because I haven't been reading or anything. The reason is because I want to introduce my hero character in a post that includes my villain character, and I don't want make a post with him because I originally created him to be one of those characters that it takes the whole team to take down and with all this chaos already going on I don't believe it's the best time for that to happen.

"I don't care about this publics' opinion." Talon knocked the gun to the side, in this same motion Talon grabbed Orb's arm and positioned it behind his back. Listening to the man chastise him Talon smiled slightly under his mask. "The other heroes have got it covered. Besides I'm not the fire brigade." Talon responded, a hint of amusement hit Talon. Looks like criminals are the same, no matter what Earth you're on. "Just drop the bag and pick up a job as a casino dealer, you're still robbing people, just less violence." Talon offered sarcastically.

Name: Basoth Geiunt Alias: Reconstructor Age: 16 Personality: Basoth is an adventurous Teenager, He is new to the earth and doesn't understand the 'rituals' and events that go on in a human life. Although quite confused about humans he still wants to learn as much as he can about them. He finds himself as funny person, but his jokes are not amusing to those not from his world. He is a cheerful person when in and out of combat, He thinks that if a battle is not joyful than there is no point battling Powers: Dissipo has the ability to deconstruct him self into small blocks and then resemble himself into any object, For example he could use this power to reconstruct himself into a larger form to give himself more strength, or change into a Remote control helicopter to move from place to place faster, He could also Change his lower arm into a melee weapon, or he could deconstruct himself into the blocks to fit through a very small space. He can't create anything that he hasn't seen before, neither can he recreate animals. Weakness: The fact that he is able to change form is due to the electrical charge that the Corrian species is given from birth, So when he becomes soaked in water he will be unable to reassemble or deconstruct himself. When he is changing a large portion of his body it takes a lot of energy, For example if he was to try and make a car he would pass out. He is mainly a Close quarters combatant so vulnerable to long range attacks Bio: Dissipo was born on a planet named Avalon in the Arthurian System, An Earth-like planet that his species, the Corrians, had inhabited. The Corrians are raised quickly when in childhood, as soon as they are old enough they are sent out to colonize a designated world, if they are not chosen for colonization they are selected as workers, using their abilities to build, create, and if needed fight. Dissipo had been chosen as a Worker but did not find his work was satisfying he could only do commbat training a limited amount of times. He stole a small freighter and inputted random co-ordinates he went into stasis for 4 years until he arrived at his destination Earth. Once he reached orbit his engine failed. and he was sent plummeting towards the earth. When he crash landed he discovered the human race and ever since has been learning about them. At first he was a little shocked, but the more he learnt about this race the more he wanted stay, eventually he made his decision to destroy his ship and stay on earth. Accepted.You call him Dissipo alot but his name is something else, did you forget to change that? Another thing I want to type about is that if he changes into a bigger form, would he be slower? Other than that I may touch on it later but feel free to move it into the characters tab when you're ready.

I can't remember much about the show, but I'm willing to re-brief myself if you think it's necessary. Name: Masa Hayashida Alias: Black #2 (pronounced: Black Number Two) Age: 19 Personality: Masa is a temperamental young man with a short fuse who has little patience for authority. Though this is just his outer shell, those who win Masa over will find that he can be a very loyal and endearing friend. Powers: Masa's powers channel through a guardian figure that follows him wherever he goes. This ghost appears at Masa's command, though Masa does not need to speak to summon it, and can be dismissed just as easily. This guardian has been dubbed "Locomotive Breath" by Masa, who stole the name an artist he likes. Locomotive Breath wields enormous strength and superhuman speed, making Masa a challenging foe in one on one combat, particularly against normal human beings. On top of his daunting skill in combat, Masa's guardian possesses the ability to amplify the damage of his punches with small explosions similar to those inside an engine. Weakness: Masa isn't very smart, and can be baited into attacking at an inopportune time very easily. On top of this, he has no ranged potential, meaning that anyone faster than him can quickly escape in the time it takes Masa to get on his motorcycle. Appearance: Masa and Locomotive Breath Bio: Masa has always been a violent child, constantly picking fights with other kids, neighbours, strangers, grandparents, you name it, there was no challenge too daunting for the young hooligan. However as the old saying goes, crime doesn't pay, and Masa was transferred to one of Japan's largest juvenile detention centres. Here Masa became immersed in a culture that finally accepted him. While the guar- err, teachers would often bully Masa for his dumb haircut, he found community among his classmates who shared his ideals and style. Though living in a small restricted area with thousands of hooligans and delinquents does have its dangers, and it wasn't long before he pissed off the wrong crowd. During one lunch break, Masa was tripped by a couple of kids belonging to the Black-Tiger-Leopard-Dragon-Fire Club, a relatively small gang who were dangerous all the same. Responding with a flare of anger, Masa charged the entire table of hooligans, pinning one to the floor before being pulled of and ganged up upon. Masa's tenuous relationship with the staff gave them little reason to help, and so the entire cafeteria turned a blind eye to his beating, every last one of them left the poor boy to his fate. Though as a final blow was about to be struck against his head, all went white. When Masa's vision returned, the crowd had dispersed, the floor was charred, and one kid was on fire. The staff finally rushed to break up the ruckus, but left Masa to ponder on what had happened. According to some, Masa's final punch had "exploded", a rumour he needed to investigate himself. That night, in his small dorm, Masa saddled up to his punching bag and threw a quick hook. Another flash of light, but when his vision returned this time, before him stood a metallic humanoid who floated just inches above the floor. The being mimicked Masa's movements, and seemed entirely in his control. In a test of his new "magical" skill, he commanded the being to unload a quick string of punches against the wall of his dorm. Sure enough, explosions ensued, and after half a minute the wall ceased to exist, Masa was free. That was two years ago. Today Masa roams the US on a motorcycle, destined to use his power to prove his badassness to anyone he meets. Arc Ideas: Masa learns the power of love.

I don't think you need to re watch the show, though you're certainly welcome to. Over the course of this RP I will try to describe things as best as I can, there may even be some familiar elements but either way you all have Google at your disposal in case you're really confused about a character. Anyways back to the app. So he summons a guardian/ghost in front of him to fight? If so that means he's pretty open to attack. But I also saw he used a flaming punch at one point, I'd like to know a more common metaphor for that level of a punch as I've never seen what happens in an engine. Other than that please fill out the "Other: " section to your app and you're accepted. Now for the RP, I am currently working on the first IC post. But since I'm busy it may take awhile.

Swinging from rooftop to rooftop Talon spotted a robbery in progress, or a robbery that just happened. Perching himself on a rooftop he eyed the man as he left a jewelry store with an usually full bag. Unless he was ultra rich, nobody in any universe leaves with a bag of purchased jewels. This guy screams robber. Raising a knife like object in his right hand he threw it at Orb Weaver's hand. Leaping off the roof he glided to the ground and stood up in a fighting position. "I get it, all these heroes around trying to manage some explosions. You'd think they wouldn't bother with a robber right?" Talon taunted, he smiled behind his mask as he spoke.

If anyone's wanting to play either one of his villains, sidekicks or allies further down the line please let me know. That way I can refrain from using them and accidentally messing up any planned back stories you might be planning for them. I'm nice like that.

There's still another group out there, I'm going after it. I assume your other friends will be there too, tell them I'm a friend." With that Daniel brought out his grappling gun and launched himself over another rooftop.

Character:(Hal Jordan) Age: (22.) Appearance: Powers/Abilities: Galactic Encyclopedia: The ring is programmed with the vast knowledge of the universe, collected and compiled into the Book of Oa by the Guardians of the Universe. The ring bearer can also use this function to scan, interact, and compare an object to its database, the Book of Oa. Flight: The ring allows the user to fly as fast as Mach 10 in atmosphere. Flight can reach up to light speed in space allowing for faster travel between planets. Forcefield: The ring can create force fields of multiple sizes to protect the wearer and those around him. The Oan ring also automatically creates a forcefield in space to and provides a synthetic life support system to allow space travel. Energy Constructs: The ring uses the Oan green energy to form constructs. These constructs are only limited by the users’ imagination and can be as strong or as weak as he wills. He can also choose to simply blast an object with a beam of energy. Weaknesses: (Hal’s Power Ring is completely unable to affect the color yellow. The ring is also limited by its charge, which lasts for exactly 24 hours. It must be recharged by a personal Lantern.) Backstory/orgins: (Hal Jordan was born in Coast City to Martin Jordan and Jessica Jordan, the middle of three children with older brother Jack and a younger sister Jane. As a young child, he idolized his father, a test pilot who worked for Ferris Aircrafts. He enjoyed every waking moment with his parents like any child would. However at a very young age, he had to face one of his only and greatest fears when his father died in a plane crash right before his eyes. Despite his family's wishes, and ignoring the fate that befell his father, he had decided followed in his Martin’s footsteps and joined the United States Air Force on his 18th birthday – turning up that very morning outside the Armed Forces Career Center before it had even opened. Now a test pilot at the age of 22, Hal Jordan has been enjoying the career his father had unfortunately left behind. Unbeknownst to Jordan an alien named Abin Sur had crash landed into a nearby desert. Giving attention to his wounds Abin found he had been fatally injured in his crash. Desperate to find his ring’s successor he removed his ring and allowed it to sail off into the air. Seeking great willpower, and the ability to overcome fear, the ring was drawn to Hal Jordan. In order to extract it’s next bearer the ring forcefully took Jordan out of his aircraft, leaving only a ball of flames where the plane had previously flown. Now within its grasp Hal was unwillingly brought forth to Abin Sur so he could receive his Lantern and hear his final words. In his last moments Abin told him of the Lantern Oath, it would allow him to charge his ring and it would give him light in times of darkness and despair. The alien eventually died leaving Jordan with one of the universes strongest weapons and an unexplainable corpse. Mere hours later Abin’s Lantern fellows were sent in search of the new bearer and the previous user Abin Sur, distraught and upset at the ring’s choice the group originally chose not to bring him but instead the ring. With the interference of Sinestro, who would soon betray the corps, the dispute was solved and Hal was brought before the Guardians of the Universe. The Oan guardians sought to train him like all recruits and assigned him under the alien Killowog’s watch. After surviving his training and Sinestro’s betrayal of the Corps the Guardians decided to allow Hal to return to his home, sector 2814. Now an Intergalactic Peacekeeper of a vast organization Hal is charged with the duty of protecting all sentient life in his space sector 2814. As Green Lantern, Hal Jordan patrols the galaxy and participates in joint missions with other Lanterns on occasion. He continued to spend his time at home working at Ferris Aircrafts, where he romantically pursues his boss, the Carol Ferris.) Arc ideas: Mind over Might: Trapped on an alien world with a depowered ring Hal Jordan must find a way to contact his allies, or risk a deadly brawl against a brutal alien warlord. The Strongest Weapon In The Universe: Former Lantern Corps member Sinestro has been branded an outlaw, criminal, and personal enemy of the corps. Trapped in an Oan science cell he spends his days conspiring against his former allies, however an even older enemy of the corps frees Sinestro and provides him the one weapon he can use against the Green Lantern Corps. Fear Itself: Years have passed after Sinestro’s attack on the corps with his own army and Hal has become one of the most well respected members of the Green Lanterns. But all of that changes when Mongul and many other aliens come to Earth seeking retribution.

That... has to happen. Also, considering Barry and Hal's friendship in the comics, would you want to establish that somewhere down the line? Completely up to you, and it might be more of a big brother/little brother relationship, considering their age difference in the RP. What do you say?

We need someone to take on Martian Manhunter or Cyborg so we can have a full 'big seven' complement!

I had been considering doing either the Manhunter or Dr. Fate next. I'm leaning towards Fate but I'm still undecided. We'll see how I'm feeling when the time comes I guess.

When I was thinking of which character I wanted to do, I briefly thought of Cyborg... then realised that I know next to nothing about him besides Justice League: War and the original Teen Titans show.

I'm all for establishing their brotherly bond. But you might turn out to be the older bro here in the OOC. About your Cyborg idea, since this is sort of an alternate universe, I imagine you would be allowed to mold him a certain way; perhaps even change his origin to help your own story telling.
