So basically Dinosauria + Maze Runner Series?
I have no problem with periods of inactivity. Sometimes I get things I'm doing as well. I would like to keep this RP going. Even if it progresses fairly slowly, it's still progressing.
Strider looked around and saw no one to take his place. It was only at that point he remembered he monitered everything remotely. "Huh. This whole intergalactic travel deal must've messed with my memory or something." he said under his breath as he closed the terminal and moved toward the officers cabinet.

He typed out a quick report on minor things he noticed running through the first sensor feeds.

SUB: Observations on oddities in sensor feeds.

Team,

Reading a steady electromagnetic field; almost mirroring earths. Poles are opposite of earth. Temperature is hovering about 40*F; but we are oceanborne and appear to be in the cooler area of the planet. Aside from Biological Entity A-001 (The subject name he'd given their whale-ish life form for the time being) I read only small islands nearby, many with heavy feedback on metallurgical scans. Either they're significantly rich in metals we know of on Earth; or they are pieces of wreckage from our unfortunate predecessors that were involuntarily forged into this new world.

Strider
Strider stood in place throughout the whole event, motionless. He did not brace for the jump, he just let it happen. And then it happened. For a moment he was somewhere else; a vast abyss surrounded by stars. No water, no ship, nothing. Just Strider standing alone... on a star? And then suddenly he was back on the ship. He checked his readouts and instinctively pulsed the sensors to locate any possible threats in the vicinity while the rest of the crew appeared to be staring out of a window. The pulse came back with news. Bad news? Good news? He didn't know. There was something moving underwater, something massive and alive. Whatever it was, it seemed in a hurry to be the first to the welcoming party.

Strider yelled out, "Unknown hard contact on Short Range Pulse Sensors! Large Biological Creature, 50 meters subsurface at 1.5 miles, Bearing 032. Collision Course!" as he ran through sensor feeds. "It's coming at us fast. We've got 20 seconds before it's on top of us. Get us in the air!"
I am, of course; still present.

Whoever wants to, really?
Strider looks at his wrist communicator for a few seconds before flipping a switch on the control panel. The lights on the ECM/ECCM indicator lit up slowly. "Huh. Will you look at that. We didn't blow up. That's a good sign." he said cautiously as he examined the boot up sequence. "I was actually about 80% sure that it'd blow up with all the enhancement I made. I was kind of looking forward to the fireworks in space." he said under his breath as he entered a few commands on the control panel. After 30 seconds he got on his wrist communicator again, "Command, ECM/ECCM package is running at 85% output with only 50% power. All enhancements are clear and synced with the ships systems. Requesting Full ECM/ECCM Power & Control Transfer to Star Breaker; Operator Authorization: Zero-Four-Five-One."
Strider spoke out as he entered the room, "Lots of shaking. Plenty of painful jerking. The occasional scream from our good doctor here. Lots of entertainment for the whole crowd." He said smugly as he took his seat and buckled in. From the past 5 minutes of listening to the doctor through his old intelligence sensors he had installed around the ship (without anyone knowing), Strider had already determined that the good doctors personality would get on his nerves. Regardless, he had a mission; which was more than he could say for the last 2 years of his unemployment administrative retreat.

Strider opened his wrist communicator and spoke up, "Command. This is Strider. Postponing the ECM/ECCM package reconstruction. I'll get it working once we're on the other side."
