"Nice to meet you Sir Stratonfol!" Rhea said immediately after he said his name. She was quickly caught off guard by his quick counter apology, she had run into him. Nevertheless, he even came to the conclusion he owed her something of an apology. "I'm fine!" She blurted when asked. "W-well, you don't owe me anything really. But I wouldn't mind checking out that stall over there with you." She said smiling. The idea of making her first friend here, on the first day no less. She was simply elated.

Not before Beaux ran off, a large towering Orc let out a very distinct laugh. He approached and asked if anything was wrong. What!? I-it's an o-orc? Is he a teacher maybe, that certainly sounds like a brutal class. Rhea thought before finally managing to spit up something of a reply. "U-um... N-no! N-not a problem here s-sir!" She stiffly bowed to the large Orc. "I-if you'll graciously e-excuse me, I n-need to catch up with my friend. Farewell g-great sir!" She bowed once again before running after Beaux. She quickly caught up to him, taking great care not to trip again.
Alright, should be able to get a post up pretty soon.

Hm... now I'm out of ideas.

I feel your pain buddy.
Posted! ^_^b

@KradKazumi, BTW, I hope that was okay. I kind of didn't want ALL of the PC's gathering in the same group conversation. So I opted for Rhea to run into Beaux instead (literally). I hope that was alright.
To be a knight huh? So, this is what I've always wanted. Right here in front of me. Rhea thought to herself while marching towards the towering academy, training ground of knights. She could hardly contain her excitement. She stopped at the gate and simply stood. Looking up at the grand academy, she smiled. She was about to enter the place, where she could in fact, be proven a knight.

Rhea finally couldn't contain herself any longer, she bolted for the front gate. In her impatience to enter the academy, she rushed straight through the gate. However, moments after entering, she tripped and bashed straight into someone. "Ow! Curse my own confounded clumsiness." She said, cursing her habit of being incredibly clumsy all of the time. Something she wished to work on while she was there. She quickly got up off of the student and bowed. "M-my sincerest apologies dear sir!" She said, looking up at the young scarf clad man (Beaux). "My name's Rhea Silversturn! A-and what might yours be?" She asked in a quick attempt to sway the conversation.
I don't think that making a Heroic Spirit has to be so cut and dry. Type Moon took A representation but those aren't necessarily the only ones. You say Arthur's best known artifacts are Excalibur and Avalon, nobody ever said Excalibur had the power to level buildings. You could take an entirely different approach to it. Such as, It was known as "The sword which sliced through iron as through wood." This could easily be interpreted as a Noble Phantasm which would nullify any armor, magic and Noble Phantasm alike. Which would bring Arthur and his opponent into a dual of skill, which would certainly fit with the fact he is a knight.

Also, I still do not believe a player's version of a Heroic Spirit has to coexist with Type Moon's version.

My point isn't only meant with Arthur, I think the same for all servants that have already been used. Arthur just seems to be a prime example.

Any player-made version of Arthur would suck in comparison.

Why must they be compared? Why so, if the player is happy with their version what would be the problem? If how powerful they are is a problem, it seems they'd be just as powerful as any OC. I don't see a problem here.

You could easily make Arthur with a Noble Phantasm like Carnwennan the dagger of King Arthur in the Welsh Arthurian legends. It's attributed with the magical power to shroud its user in shadow. That could easily be helpful for a servant as recognizable as Arthur.

My apologies, I'm not trying to make this into any kind of argument, truly I'm not.
Wait wait wait, okay I just read through the whole discussion about Arthur/cannon material and it would take me good deal of time to respond to all of them individually so I'll just sum up.

I don't understand why Arthur can't be male? I mean, it's the same as altering anything canon. And on that note I would have absolutely no problem altering canon so long as it doesn't change the fundamental rules/laws of the source material. It would be the same as saying the War isn't held in Fuyuki City, that seems to be an established parameter, so why not say Arthur is a male? As far as being an OC, if you change their abilities and Noble Phantasms it's as much original as anything else. I could come up with several ways to make Arthur a heroic spirit apart form the canonical form. Also, if a player's version of Arthur had an entirely different mindset and personality it's even more original.

Not trying to be mean or anything, I just feel that it's these kinds of things that shackle player creativity.
O.O Holy, 4 pages of OOC to catch up on, and I didn't even get the last bit! XD Stuff I have no clue about.

In any case, that aside I had an interesting idea. (this is just an idea please do not kill me... ;_;)

How about this Holy Grail war is fought with teams, say X number of players on one side and the same number on the other side. Perhaps black and white for a nice chess analogy. In any case, the two sides vying for the grail have to work as a team. Everybody could have two characters per side, Master and Servant. Or one a servant on one side and a master on the other, either way is fine. Just depends on how many characters you want to have to keep track of. Lastly, one side could be entirely controlled by the GM(s). That's about it.

I mean, The Grail is ultimately in control of how the war is fought, I see no reason why it couldn't alter the format slightly.

I think this idea would make up for quite a few things. What do you guys think?

Whenever I do PVP stuff in an RP, it's mostly just discussed between the players with GM intervention if they can't conclude who should end the fight. That always seems to work out pretty well as long as everyone involved is cooperative and it works out in Fate RP's too.

That's cool! ^_^b Unfortunately, in my experience I've never seen it end well. But there's always a first for everything!
