Haha yeah, I made a typo. Sorry about that.

"Ladies, please. This is a mission that needs to be done, and these people aren't our friends. Now, if it seems like maybe there's some wiggle room to be extra charitable to people who aren't out to directly kill us then BULLY I say, but let's go there first and see if we can do a flawless victory without getting caught by some tinkerer with his pants down, aight?"

Yazmin turned her attention back to Neil and was amazed by how calm he seemed to be. Must be another one of his charms that made most of the women fawn over him. At the back of her mind, she wondered if he really was calm or if it was only a facade to cover up his real thoughts and feelings. Whatever it was, she listened to his words now. They made sense. He was right. The people in UNF's side weren't friends. Even when she had been on their side, they weren't friends. Acquaintances maybe? People she worked with. But they stopped being whatever they were to her the day they killed the only family she ever really had.

The directives stated that they were to eliminate all threats IF they get caught. There was still that chance of not needing to kill anyone. Even if they weren't really friends.

Funny that her thoughts have evolved this way. Once upon a time, she had had no problems staring into the eyes of the helpless and unarmed and then pulling the trigger. No amount of begging or groveling would have made her spare their life. Orders were orders and that was what she had been programmed to follow. Why was she hesitant now? Why was she questioning a direct order from her commanding officer?

She knew the answer even as she questioned herself. Because the inhibitor chip was removed. Without it, I've become less efficient. For the second time that day, she wondered if having the chip in her was better than having it out.

If the chip stayed then she would still be with UNF, probably sent out on a mission to hunt down and kill the very same people that was standing with her now. She would have done it with no questions and no thoughts. Even her own life held little meaning to her. If she lost it then too bad. Someone else would pick up where she left off. If the chip had stayed, she wouldn't have known Anton like a father. She wouldn't have met her team mates that seemed to care for her a lot more than the people in UNF did. She wouldn't be wondering if Neil's hair was dark brown or black.

The last thought made her realized that she was still staring at Neil. She shook the thought away and promptly averted her gaze and turned it towards the tablet that had been placed in front of her. Follow the objective and don't get dead, the words echoed in her head. She took the tablet and scanned the mission directives. As she did, a name popped out to her. Donovan Mars.

Donovan Mars, she repeated silently in her head. Where had she heard the name before? She thought back to all the scientists involved in the Samantha Project. She knew all their names and can remember all of their faces. There was no one by the name of Donovan Mars in the laboratory she had been raised in. So, why was his name strangely familiar? It bothered her but she figured that she'd know soon enough. She continued reading and glanced at the map of the base. She had been to the base once several years ago. She had stayed there long enough to at least familiarize herself with the lay out. She wondered how much had changed since she was last there.

As soon as she finished reading the mission details, she raised her head and looked at the Commander again. The announcement of a new pilot joining their team was good news but her thoughts were still on the name of the scientist she now hoped to encounter. "Commander, will we need to bring back this scientist with us?"

Jae Park & Audrianna Kent

Day 6, 8:30 AM

Interacting with: @POOHEAD189, @Aeternum, @Wick

"This is the Commander. The plumbing issue can not be resolved. There is no way to repair the pipes between the backup reservoir and the main line. This means that we will be limited on water at certain times of day. Our very own Water Goddess Harley has agreed to refill the reservoir for us daily so at least we will still have clean safe water. Good morning, Good hunting, stay safe out there today and look after each other."

Audrianna paused and listened to Cody's voice. "Oh." She didn't wanna admit it but she was a bit disappointed that he wasn't in the cafeteria. Audrianna, he's the commander. He has a lot of important things to do than hang out here with you. Don't forget your place, she scolded herself in her head. She turned back to Robert and gave him an apologetic smile. "Enjoy your breakfast," she mumbled before turning towards Ben who had just walked in.

"Good morning," she greeted softly before turning to the food and automatically preparing a plate for him. She didn't really mind serving people. Having something routine to do helped with the sadness she felt for losing the old chef. Although they were not related, he had been good to her and she saw him almost like a father. She once said that she wouldn't cry for anyone but when the old man had died in her arms, she wasn't able to stop herself. She sighed and placed the plate of food in front of Ben. "It's the same food we had last night, I'm sorry. There's really nothing else I can serve. As soon as we get more food in here, I can fix something else," she immediately apologized. "I hope you have a good meal all the same," she said before moving away.

"I don't think anyone would mind the same food as long as it's food and it's edible, you know. Even the watered down soup you made yesterday for lunch was better than nothing. You're worrying about something you shouldn't really be worrying about," came Jae's voice behind her.

Audrianna turned around and grinned at Jae. "Hey. Had a good sleep?" The Korean boy was really the only person she was comfortable chatting with.

Jae yawned. 'Weeell, a dream wherein I was being chased by peaches with razor sharp teeth and squealing roasted pigs isn't what I would call ideal but I think I slept fairly well."

Audrianna laughed. "You dreamt that your food was chasing you?"

Jae shrugged. "Awww, you heard me. So, can I get some food maybe?"

"Oh, yeah, of course." She immediately got a plate for Jay and filled it the same way she did for both Robert and Ben.

"Thanks, Aud. Gotta keep up my energy today if I wanna go out and practice...and maybe bring in stuff for you to cook too." He grinned at Robert. "Finally awake, I see. Glad to have you back with us." He brought his plate over to where Ben was and settled down onto the chair opposite his. He had already sat himself when he remembered that the man seemed to always prefer being alone. "Hey dude. I hope you don't mind me joining you. I mean, it's pretty lonely eating alone," he said. And being the chatterbox that he was, he didn't really wait for an answer before posing a question for Ben. "Things have been bat shit crazy, huh? Have you gotten yourself a nifty super power too?"

Audrianna watched Jae as he conversed with both Robert and Ben. Jae had always been a friendly person. He was good at dancing and singing and she often wondered how big of a star he would have been if the catastrophe didn't happen. She excused herself and began serving the other people that were piling into the cafeteria.

One after the other, Audrianna served the small population in the bunker. Like what Jae said, no one seemed to mind eating the same thing they had the night before and she was relieved that there was still so much left over to serve this morning. She had just finished serving everyone when she felt someone hold her hand and remove the glove she was wearing. She blushed when she realized that it was Cody. He felt his lips touch the back of her hand, effectively making the blush on her cheeks darken. "A movie? Uhm...sure, I'd like that. B-but after I've finished all my chores, okay?" Her eyes widened when he leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers. The blush that was just fading flared back up and all she could really do was stare at him as he walked to the sinks and began washing the dishes.

She bought herself time to calm down as she busied herself preparing a plate of food for the Commander. As soon as she was done, she walked towards him. "I can...uh... take care of those dishes. You don't really have to worry about them." She gently took the plate he was washing from him and gestured towards the plate of food she had set down on the table nearby. "I haven't seen you eat any breakfast yet so go eat and let me take care of this," she said.

Caius, Claudia and Gabriel

Claudia felt her body respond to Alex kisses and she laughed at the memory of what Caius had said earlier. He was right after all and they would need him to watch over their adopted son more than a couple of time. He placed a hand on Alex's chest and pushed him away gently. "Hold that thought. I'm just gonna go take Gabriel out of the water and dress him up." She stood on tiptoe and ran her tongue lightly and suggestively across his lips before she walked back into the bathroom. When she got there, Caius was already toweling the boy dry.

"Cartoons!" Gabriel said, his voice muffled by the towel.

"Fine, fine. I suppose I can't argue with that since cable's playing cartoons 24/7 now. You better share the popcorn though." Caius muttered in defeat.

Gabriel laughed gleefully as he nodded when his head popped out from underneath the towel.

"Told you, you'd need me to babysit," Caius said just as Claudia walked in.

"Oh, shut up," Claudia muttered as her cheeks flushed bright pink. "Can you though?'

"Sure. Knock yourselves out," he laughed out loud when Claudia slapped his arm loudly.

"Mommy, are you watching TV with me and Uncle Caius?" the little boy asked as Claudia assisted him in getting dressed.

"No, no, mommy will be a bit busy so you're stuck with me, runt." Caius answered before Claudia could say anything. "You better feed me something good for this, sis," he said as he reached out and took the child into his arms. He winked at Claudia as walked out.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you want," she laughed and gestured for his brother to hurry up.

As soon as Caius and Gabriel was out of the room, Claudia locked the door and crossed over to where Alex was. She reached out, her mouth hungrily claiming his as her hands busied themselves in removing his clothes.

Jae Park & Audrianna Kent

Day 5, 8:00 PM

Audrianna looked at the long line of people waiting for roasted pork to be served to them. Silently, she automatically served each the way the old chef did, placing a generous amount of meat on each plate. They no longer needed to hold out on the food. The survivors were less than half of the original bunk population, the older ones were all gone.

"Oooo, this looks good."

Audrianna looked up and saw Ben Sherman looking at her. She gave him a small smile, bowed her head shyly and placed several slices of the pork on his plate. "Enjoy." she mumbled and then waited for the next in line to extend his or her plate towards her. Most of the people never really spoke to her and it was strange that today, they were complementing her on the food. The Commander, who was always busy, also paid attention to her. He even kissed her. He kissed me... her thoughts drifted off.

"You've gotten pretty good at this cooking thing, Aud. I mean, look at this pork... It looks delicious. Well, I hope it tastes good as it looks. And I hope you're finished daydreaming cause I'd like to eat,"

Jae's smart ass comment broke into Audrianna's reverie. She blinked, the knife she was holding automatically slicing through the pork. "Most of the others think it tastes good." she mumbled as she placed the same amount of meat she had been serving to others on Jae's plate. She raised an eyebrow when Jae held out another empty plate towards her.

"The first one's yours. You're so busy serving people I bet you haven't thought about setting aside something for yourself," Jae explained even before she could ask.

"There's a lot of meat. I don't think it'll run out that fast," Audrianna argued even as she set aside the plateful of meat Jae handed her.

"That's the same thing you said several days ago and you ended up eating that nothing but that piece of moldy bread. I'll make sure you have something to eat all the time. Think of it as payback for always making sure I have something to eat." Jae smiled as he walked away with his own plate of food.

"Thank you," she called out after him and then turned to the next in line. Her hands automatically worked but her thoughts drifted back to the Commander.

Jae walked back to the table he had been sitting on and began eating. He was halfway through his plate when he looked up at Harley. He raised an eyebrow at her words.

"...Oh yeah, you can fly Jae. Heat rises so if you build up enough of it you can fly. Just like I can ride the waves."

"Flying, huh? Well, that's definitely something to look forward to." Jae promptly fell silent as he continued eating. He mulled over what she had said, looking forward to actually testing out his powers the next day.

It didn't take long for the cafeteria to be be almost empty as people went off to bed with full stomachs. A few stayed behind and chatted over the food. Jae had been kind enough to stay behind and help clean the kitchen and wash the dishes. "It's the least I can do for you always taking care of me, so no real need to thank me for it," he said when she thanked him. "By the way, what kinda power did you get? I suppose everyone that survived whatever it was that killed the rest developed some sort of...well...I dunno, mutation?"

"I can create force fields." Audrianna responded in her straight to the point manner as she forked a piece of meat into her mouth. She had waited for everyone to finish eating before she ate herself, something that Jae often chastised her about. She expected that he would have done that again were it not for the topic of their conversation.

"Wow, really? That's cool. And definitely useful," Jae looked amazed as he studied her face as if he could see her powers on it. "So, you're like Violet from The Incredibles, huh?"

Audrianna nodded. "I guess in a way. Although I don't know if I can make myself invisible like she does. What's yours?"

"Mine's fire. I'd show you but I don't really wanna end up burning the place down."

"The Human Torch. Nice."

"Haha, well, I'm gonna be working on that. Harley said that I could probably fly. I hope I can. I mean, how cool would that be?" The excitement began building up in Jae again. "Anyway, I'll be testing that out tomorrow. Wanna come out with me?" Jae offered and then saw Cody coming towards them. "...Or maybe not. I'm sure there's someone else you'd like to tag along with," he winked, grinned, bid her good night and then made his timely escape.

"Wha---" Audrianna's eyes followed after Jae as he hurried away and then settling on Cody as he made his way towards her. Her cheeks immediately flushed a bright shade of pink. She didn't really know what to expect. Did his kiss earlier meant that he liked her? Would he continue spending time with her or will he go back to ignoring her like he did the whole year they were cooped up in the bunker? She began clearing the plate and fork she had used to eat. She paused when he pulled her towards him and enveloped her in a hug. Her cheeks burned redder when he pressed a kiss on her forehead, more so when he leaned down and kissed her on the lips. "G-good night, Commander," she stammered, thoroughly flustered.

Day 6, 7:00 AM

Interacting with: @Aeternum

It was nice seeing people with a healthy glow for once. The roasted pork Audrianna had served the night before had definitely lifted everyone's mood and she could only hope that it'd be that good every day. She looked at the remaining meat from the night before and was sure that everyone wouldn't mind eating it again this morning. Maybe a good sauce to go with the meat? She nodded to herself and then went into the kitchen to fix something up before people started filing in for the morning. A few minutes later and she was carrying out a bowl of brown gravy she made using a piece of the pork, some soy sauce she had been saving up and a few spices. She would have loved to make some bread to go with the pork but she didn't have any ingredients to make some.

Maybe I should take up Jae's offer of going out. I won't be useful in the kitchen if I can't cook anything... She nodded her head at her thoughts as she handed a plate out to the early risers. Yes, she'd try to help out with looking for food later.

"Uh, sorry to bother you, but what day is it?"

Audrianna looked up. Robert Moore. The boy's name immediately popped into her head. She knew everyone in the bunker. Everyone frequented the cafeteria the most, after all.

"It's the 6th day since the bunker doors were opened." She made quick work of fixing the thin boy a plate with a hefty serving of meat and gravy. "Here. It looks like you haven't eaten for a while." She reached behind the counter and handed him the peach Jae had set aside for him too. "And here's a peach. Jae asked me to give it to you when you've managed to bring yourself in here to eat," she gave Robert a small smile.

O.O I realized I had a LOT of posts to read up on. So... yeah, post will be up tomorrow...

@Musaki Hajime

Keira didn't notice Amelie's reassuring hand on her shoulder nor did she see her smile. She was so engrossed in her memories and her sadness that as soon as she finished setting the table, she just dropped herself on the chair beside Cayde.

She thought she was tearing her gaze away from the plate that brought forth memories of the day her father died but apparently, she wasn't so successful. She kept staring at it and only realized what she was doing when Cayde removed the plate from her line of vision. She blinked when she looked up and found herself staring straight into her friend's red eyes. A blush immediately turned her cheeks a bright shade of pink and her heart beat accelerated. She hurriedly looked away. "S-sorry. I didn't realize I had zoned off like that." She looked around, embarrassment evident on her face as she checked to see if anybody else had noticed.

She sighed, making a mental note to pay more attention to what she was doing especially on days that she didn't feel like herself. Cayde was right. She can't let others see her the way she was now. Everyone would be worried. And there would be a lot of questions. Are you okay? Is there something bothering you? Do you wanna talk about it? Questions that she really didn't wanna hear, much less answer. "I... I'm okay. Don't worry about it," she assured her friend in a voice that was just above a whisper, giving him the most cheerful smile she could muster. It wasn't much and she knew he'd be able to see through it but she hoped it'll look cheerful enough to fool the others.

She knew that Cayde knew why she was the way she was on this particular day. He was her closest friend, after all. Her thoughts turned to her memories of him.

When she had first joined the ranks of the Chroma Knights, Cayde had acted aloof towards her and she was sure that he had been annoyed that she chose the seat next to him in the dining hall. She tried being friendly to him and greeted him cheerfully every single morning. He had always greeted back or more like mumbled back and he never returned her smiles. She figured that it was either because he was not a morning person or that her presence actually offended him. It didn't really matter if the latter was the reason. She'd still try to befriend him.

"Good morning. It's a good day today, don't you think?" Keira greeted cheerily as she sat down beside Cayde. As always, he kept his gaze down as he muttered a greeting back. As expected, he looked annoyed. "Perfect day to sit next to a cute guy," she continued.

Cayde's head snapped up and he looked towards her. "M-me? C-come on, stop joking."

Keira grinned and looked at the boy staring at her, his cheeks flushed bright pink. As soon as their eyes me, he immediately looked away. "Oh, so you know how to say other words aside from good morning after all. Hi. My name's Keira Walker. We've been living in this place together for several days I thought it'd be nice to introduce ourselves. And your name is...?" She waited for him to answer but when several minutes passed by without a word from him, her smile faltered. I guess he really thinks I'm annoyi--

"Cayde Godfrey."

Keira was surprised but her smile widened. "It's nice to meet you, Cayde," she said as she stood up and grabbed an apple from the basket. "I'll see you around," she said as she walked towards the door of the dining room, a feeling of accomplishment lifting her mood up. She paused in the doorway. "You really look cute especially when you blush," His head had snapped back up again, the blush on his cheeks darkening. Keira laughed softly, waved a hand at him and then continued out of the dining room.

Keira figured that it was that encounter that had served as the ice breaker. After that, Cayde had looked a little awkward whenever she sat beside him but curiously, he began talking to her a little every day. It started with 'Hi', 'How are you?' and 'Nice weather today.' Even with only a few words, she found that he was actually nice. He wasn't the friendliest in the bunch but she found that she felt comfortable around him the most. Eventually, he stopped looking annoyed when she sat next to him and they conversed more. It became 'Hey, what's up?', 'Did you sleep well last night?' and 'Did you see that shooting star the other night?'

Slowly, they became close friends, close enough for her to tell him about her father and how he had died. And close enough for them to laugh about how their friendship started. She appreciated him and the concern he continued to show her.

"I'm okay," she repeated with a brighter smile this time. "Thank you."
Caius, Claudia and Gabriel

While Gabriel laughed and splashed gleefully in the tub, Claudia continued to inspect her mate. Although Alex had assured her that he was not hurt, she needed to make sure that he really wasn't. She let him kiss her but continued inspecting him as he called Caius over and narrated what had happened earlier. She only relaxed and wrapped her arms possessively around Alex's waist when she had made sure that he really was okay.

Caius did as was requested. He silently walked back to the bathroom and stood in the doorway. Even when the vampire had walked into the room, Caius already smelled two distinct scents on him. The blood of a vampire and a wolf. A regular wolf would have attacked, assuming that the vampire had killed one of their own from the smell alone. But Caius was far from being a regular wolf. He had the capability of staying calm and listening to reason before passing judgement, a characteristic that made him invaluable to Darric and the entire pack. When Alex recounted how he had met Caius' alpha, he nodded, hearing the truth in his words. "Thank you for saving one of us. I admire you for adhering to what was right and not merely acting based on the loyalty that comes with friendship. I am, however, sorry for your loss."

Claudia looked at Caius then at Alex. A proud look was on her face. "Thank you," she said. She watched him toss another toy into the tub and smiled. The man she had imprinted on was truly amazing. "And like my brother, I am sorry to hear that you lost yet another friend," she looked towards her twin and gave him a look that meant that he was to watch the little boy still splashing in the tub. Caius gave her a curt nod before Claudia led her soon to be husband out into the room. "Are you okay?" she asked. "And I don't mean physically."
@Caits

"Yes, I believe I am intuitive as you say," Silas said as he came back with two plates. He looked at Callie and smiled. "I thought you might prefer to eat a chicken dish hence I made you Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken. I certainly hope that you like cheese." He set the plate in front of Callie with a flourish. "Of course, if you don't like it, I can always fix you something else," he assured her before turning his attention to Caius. He placed the other plate in front of him. "And for you, my dear boy, medium rare angus beef. I do hope you enjoy it."

Caius grinned, his stomach growling in response to the smell and sight of the food placed in front of him. "I'm sure I will. Your cooking is always a treat and you've never disappointed me before." He looked at Callie and gestured for her to start eating as he picked up his knife and fork.

As they began to eat, Silas disappeared into the kitchen and then came back with two wine bottles in hand. He set two glass flutes in front of the couple and poured white wine for Callie. "Sauvignon Blanc for the lady and..." he poured red wine for Caius. "...Cabernet Sauvignon for the gentleman." He smiled as he stepped back, obviously pleased at his handiwork. "And now, I shall take my leave and let the two of you enjoy your meal. Should you two want anything else, I will be... around." He gave the two a polite bow and then disappeared back to the kitchen.
I'll post tomorrow. :)
