Yup, I'm here.
I'll have a post up tomorrow. Just really tired now.

Keira glanced over to Cayde and gave him a sympathetic smile as she gestured over to Amelie. They had been living together for a while that she was familiar with the black haired girl's mischievous streak. The impish grin on her face was proof of what she planned to do. "I guess you'll have to wait for Mel to finish causing trouble for Brian before we get to eat breakfast." She placed an elbow onto the table and laid her cheek against her open palm, watching silently and amusedly as Amelie made her way out of the kitchen towards the rooms. "Probably the megaphone," she guessed.

A few minutes later, an extremely loud noise from an airhorn couple with a loud shout, magnified as she expected by a megaphone, echoed through the whole building. "I really don't envy Brian at times like this. That noise probably shook the very foundation of the building...But it's Brian we're talking about. Knowing him, I'm sure he'll still insist of going back to sleep despite all that racket," she commented idly to no one in particular but looked as though she was talking to Cayde as her face was facing his direction.

She promptly fell silent, her mind once again drifting off. Thoughts about her father, the arrow knight that had rescued him and her father's eventual death began flashed through her mind again. She tried her best to keep the sadness at bay but on a day like this, it was a losing battle. She was, however, grateful for the distraction that Amelie was giving her. It helped.

And said distraction walked back into the kitchen, dragging the recipient of her handiwork by the ankle. An amused smile worked its way onto Keira's face, one that widened and was accompanied by a suppressed giggle when she finally saw the sharpie mustache and monocle on the sleepy boy's face. "Good morning, Brian. It's nice to see you up and well...thoroughly decorated," she reached out for food and filled her plate with just enough and then glanced over to Amelie. "Nice artwork," she commented.

In between bites, she glanced over to the big man of the group and gave him a polite smile. "You'd probably crush me if I took your offer to spar with you." When Connor took Darius' invitation, she turned her attention towards Cayde. "I'll probably just go out and practice, maybe spend some more time with Falco. What are your plans, Cayde? You're not going back up to your room and play games all day, are you?"

"Amazing? I don't think so. Leaving our foster parents was...really not a good idea. I mean, yeah, we were protecting them but at the same time leaving ourselves to fend for our own. It was definitely not easy...but it was the best we could ever do for them..." his voice trailed off and he looked distracted by unspoken memories.

As soon as Callie began speaking again, Caius snapped out of his reverie, proof of his interest in getting to know her. At the mention of pets, he perked up and with a sheepish grin, pointed at himself. "I think I have the dog part covered. I can play a mean game of catch the frisbee. And I keep my fur clean. It'll keep you warm in the winter...Although, I don't really like being on a leash," he laughed out loud at how he was selling himself. And then when his laughter had abated, he nodded his acknowledgement of her dreams. He wondered if he could at least make some of them come true.

When she continued speaking, Caius stared at her in wonder. Callie was one of a kind, a witch that wanted nothing but to do good for the world even if it was in her own small way. And in return, all she really wanted was a home. He stared at her silently as he watched her bend down and look at some herbs, wondering for the second time just how much of her dreams he can really make into reality.

Would it be creepy and too early to ask her to come live with him?
Good to go as well.

The food Lily took for herself disappeared as soon as she sat on her chosen table. Her tummy full, she found exhaustion catching up with her. With so little sleep, it wasn't really surprising. She stacked her empty plates on her food tray and pushed it forward on the table. With the kitchenware out of the way, she crossed her arms on the table and laid her chin on it, watching the other students eat together and converse with each other. The corner table that she had chosen was inconspicuous enough to let her watch what was happening in the other tables. She saw familiar faces intermixed with unfamiliar ones. A flash of aquamarine hair, a scarred boy, brown hair... Her sleep deprived mind recognized them as her team mates...or previous team mates. She, however, had no idea if they were gonna be put in the same team again. From where she sat, they looked chummy together sitting with the pretty girl named Emma and someone she didn't recognize, a boy with wavy dark hair. She didn't find a particular want or need to join them but she wondered in passing if any of them would welcome her if she got up and joined their table.

It didn't take long for her lids to slowly flutter close, her entire body relaxing into sleep. Never mind the chattering voices in the cafeteria, never mind the clattering of utensils on plates. She was tired and no amount of noise would prevent her from falling asleep.

It would have been nice to have a dreamless sleep for once but Lily's were always full of nightmares about nondescript, featureless and nameless people. Despite the weariness of her body, her mind threatened to pull her out of her impomptu nap, desperate to escape the curses, harsh words, hateful utterings and malicious glares that always came from the faceless people that haunted her.

But disturbing dreams weren't what woke her up. It was the barrel of a rifle poking her on the back followed by a male voice barking out an order. "Wake up!"

Lily sleepily opened her eyes and looked dully at the guard. "Why?" she challenged, a little irritated that she was roused from her sleep.

The guard responded by pressing the barrel of the rifle a little more firmly against her back.

Lily sighed. "Fine," she muttered and once again let herself be herded to who knows where.

Where turned out to be a security outpost near Ground Zero. The small blonde teenager reached out for a cookie and began nibbling on it as the rules of the game was explained. The idea of being a "golden snitch" perked Lily up and she soon found her depressive mood change into her manic one. Even the boring directive of staying hidden at all costs during the game didn't dampen her mood. She glanced towards the other "golden snitch' and grinned. It was Christmas, the boy she had drank blood from. Lily was glad that he looked well enough. From where she was standing, she waved her hand and half bitten cookie cheerily at him.

Lily bounced on the balls of her feet a little impatiently. But she didn't need to wait long. Soon, they were escorted into a large clearing. Lily shoved the rest of the cookie into her mouth, chewing like a hamster with its cheeks full as she looked around a little excitedly. She wrinkled her nose at the sight of the dead bodies. What sort of place was this? Why were the people at school bringing them to a place with dead bodies?

Dead bodies...

She stared wide eyed at one of the unmoving bodies, its form melting into one from her fragmented memory. Dark hair. Blood pooling around. She waited for the dead person's head to lift up and curse at her.

But it didn't move. The still body didn't even have dark hair.

They moved on.

A little more along the way and she was separated from Christmas. She didn't even get a chance to say goodbye as they were led to different directions. She was deposited in a large, nonfunctioning, empty freezer in a run down restaurant and was reminded to stay hidden before she was left alone.

"Stay hidden at all costs or risk solitary confinement in a containment chamber," she repeated to herself. Being a "golden snitch" wasn't exciting after all.

The time given to them to prepare for the mission, Yazmin spent it alone with her thoughts. She had been trained to always be prepared for battle, always on call, ready to sacrifice if need be. That was standard programming for UNF pilots... Or was it standard programming for clones?

"These things... these clones don't have souls. They're empty husks, built to blindly follow whatever commands we give them. They exist for that sole reason and nothing else. And when we decide that they die, then they die. They're not even permitted to flinch when we deliver that last blow."

She stared out of the window and into the sky.

What does it mean to have a soul? What IS my reason for existing? Will I really not flinch in the face of death? There were so many questions in her head. Questions that won't be answered any time soon.

She removed her glasses and closed her good eye, leaving her left eye open and staring up at the sky. While she could still see the sky, her vision was blurred. It was a genetic defect she was born with. All clones had them except for Claire. She was the first and the best, with no flaws and no defects. But what good was it to be perfect when she ended up dead in the hands of people she served? She continued looking up at the blurred sky and wondered if it was better that way--not being able to fully understand her purpose but existing to do as she was told. She opened her good eye and everything became clearer, became more focused. Was it better to have a purpose? Yes, my purpose is to exact revenge for my family. And to find out why I was created in the first place.

With that thought, she got up and headed back to the hangar.

The smile Yazmin gave Lance was returned by a tentative smile. He had a nice smile and he seemed like a nice guy. A potential friend, maybe? She was still thinking about how it would be to have a friend when the tech stood at attention, his hand automatically saluting. Yazmin, herself, automatically stood at attention, turned and saluted Captain Aura as she walked towards them.

When the mission leader grinned at her, Yazmin dropped her hand, smiled back and nodded. "My UNF uniform..." she looked down at what she was wearing. "...would at least buy us time when we need it. It hasn't been long since I left UNF. I doubt they would have changed the uniforms by then," she paused thoughtfully. "A disadvantage would be that all personnel would have been informed of my defecting. So having me around would prove either beneficial or detrimental." She shook her head. "Be it as it may, I am seeing this mission through to its successful end."

With those words and with her captain's leave, Yazmin removed her glasses and tucked it into the hard case strapped on her left hip opposite the holster of her Glock 17. She wore her headgear, the prism lens automatically positioning itself over her defective eye, making her vision on said eye superior to her good one. Without a word, she climbed into her Valkinai, settling comfortably into the pilot seat. Her monitors immediately turned on, giving her a wide range of view of the hangar.

In the pilot seat, she was in full control. Ordine was her and she was Ordine.

"This is Cadet Jindaal, requesting the callsign of each pilot. Mine is Skull, as designated by Ordo Sanctus Battle Command."

At Cadet Jindaal's prompt, Yazmin spoke into Ordine's communicator which was redesigned for Ordo's frequency. "This is Yazmin Miraj in Ordine. Callsign: Four."

Audrianna glanced towards Lex and gave him a small, apologetic smile. "I'm sure he appreciates you trying to help him out," she said as she watched him walk back to the bunker. When Jae groaned, she turned her attention back to him, belatedly remembering the state of her young friend's clothing. "Clothes. Y-yeah, I should get you some," she exclaimed as she looked towards Ben. "Can you watch him for a bit? I'll go get him some clothes. I don't think anyone would appreciate seeing him walk back in like that. I won't take long." She gave him the same apologetic smile she gave Lex earlier and then hurried back into the bunker.

Once inside, she hurried towards the room and headed straight to the one the Korean boy stayed in. She grabbed a shirt and a pair of sweat pants and then hurried back out. In her haste, she didn't notice anyone crossing her path and soon found herself sprawled on the floor, having collided with the Commander. "Cody!" she exclaimed, surprised. "I-I mean... Commander." she corrected herself and then, regaining her composure, stood back up and hurriedly picked up Jae's clothes from the floor. She looked down as she immediately apologized. "I'm sorry I was in a hurry that I wasn't paying attention to where I was going."
@December
I'm okay. A little bit busy sometimes though. I'm glad to see you back and happy to hear that you're okay.
@Caits

Caius nodded as Callie enumerated things about herself. When asked, she shrugged nonchalantly. "Everything about you. But really, anything you want to tell me. I don't ask specific questions because you might not want to answer them. Of course, what you tell me, I'd give back in terms of information about myself." He glanced at her and grinned. "For starters, I like running and swimming. I like playing ice hockey... or rather I love pretending I'm good at it," he chuckled. "I have a twin sister and we don't have any idea who our parents are. We do have foster parents but we ran away from them when we were 13. Not because they were cruel or anything but because we were scared of hurting them. You see, that was when we both turned into wolves. We didn't get bitten or anything so I'm guessing we were born wolves."
