Hey guys I was thinking about porting Sapphire and some choice aspects of the RP (and possibly characters if I have permission) to a steampunk short story I'm writing. Anyone have any suggestions?
I'd totally infiltrate the White Fang and sabotage them from the inside. I'm thinking poison cupcakes.

Don't worry, Sapphire will begrudgingly help Oswald rescue Emerald from her traitor's execution.
Well if I'm not mistaken, the GM of the RP has changed twice since the one who originally wrote that soooo...

But yeah, I guess this seems like a good question for Lugu. Yo @Lugubrious, where you at homie?

Oh, I didn't actually realize that description was part of the original Heroes of Beacon thread.

But I really want to watch Beacon burn...
@Lugubrious Hey Lug I know this sounds kind of douche but is there any chance you're planning on cleaning up the RP's Original Post? I'm a bit OCD and the haphazardness of it sort of bugs me to the extreme.
I thought we were following our own narrative where the events of the show don't really affect us.

EDIT: If I'm wrong though, count me among those excited about the chance to write my character experiencing such mayhem and chaos. Oh man, Robert will be so devastated to see his new home burned to the ground just like his last one.

I thought we were following the show's cannon just at a reduced rate of speed to emphasize character development and stuff.

As proof I went back to the OP to look at the RP description.

Basically this roleplay will follow the story line of RWBY: Volume 1. With added emphasis on school life and training for the tournament, which will later be revealed in Vol. 2, the RP will revolve around character development and will be open to plot changes and ideas from everyone who participates. There is no real script you have to follow, this is just supposed to be really fun. Move at your own pace to create your character and their story; do not expect to be hampered by deadlines, frustrating timeskips, or scheduled events.
Original Post

The last sentence cause ironic laughter.

It just occurred to me that given our current speed of like a week per year it'll be fifty two years or so before we get to Beacon's Fall.
Qrow did mention that its size has given rise to a decent chunk of different cultures.

Qrow sounds like the announcer from Bastion.

Also damn you guys, I thought the talk about new RWBY knowledge meant the series was back up. Instead two 2 minute shorts.

Hey guys, what happens when we get to the part in the RWBY narrative where Beacon falls and afterwards is infested with Grimm?
Anybody still alive?

Future Shiro?

Come on everyone knows he'll never be that cool. That's "ancestor of Shiro who clearly didn't pass on the cool gene"
Hrmm I had a concept for a faerie, was originally going to go with Goblins, but does anyone know any types of fae that are known for getting into pacts and bargains? Im looking to make a Faerie merchant.

Maybe they are just called "Pactmakers" or something, I have a definite idea in mind, but need to tie it better to some folklore creature (unless I can tie it to folklore itself, rather than a specific being from it)

That is for the most part fae or faeries in general. The idea of the infernal deal comes from old Irish and Welsh stories (it was transplanted onto demons when the Christian Church became dominant and wanted to discourage the practice of older faiths). A fae pactmaker would be less a type of a fae and more their occupation. Though making deals and collecting favors would be a way of life in the fae realm it is not inconceivable that someone would use it to make their primary living. It wouldn't require a special type of fae as words are binding and promises must be upheld.

Think of it like this, Rumpelstiltskin is the modern version of an old faery story.
@Lugubrious Sapphire's talking to Abel, you planning on posting?
