@Weird Tales I thought @Member 00492 said he didn't want people making second characters?
That's 100% true. I could be wrong. But I was going off discussion we'd had over PM. Although, @Member 00492 could always change his mind.

Regardless I don't think I'll go that route. Gloria has enough to her that I don't need to add that as motivation. Assuming I get in.

Speaking of... How is your name is suddenly appearing as Member 00492... I don't understand... Only your's has changed...

Umm... what?
@Prince of SeraphsI think Matt was only like 16 or so before his death. So it might not work out if they were involved even if it weren't that cliche. Which like, on the one hand it is a bit cliche, but not quite as much as it could be.

That's not necessarily true, the OP didn't list an age for Matt and though it does say the year is around 2043 Matt's birth year was never mentioned in Batman Beyond, only that he's about nine years younger than Terry so conceivably he could be older. Though that is really up to @Member 00492 and you are right it is pretty cliche. I think I've got enough twists and motivation in Gloria's past without having to add that to it.

I realize she's not a legacy character (though I do pay homage to Tinya Wazzo/Enya Wazzo in her name)

Would it be too cliche if she and Matt were involved before he died?
is there anything i should draw?

*waves hand*
@LemonadeVik I've got something? Why fourteen year olds? I'd imagine they're trying to get them young but puberty is just kicking into gear at that age. Any sort of bodily changes that the government might employ would only be evident one to two years following the procedure as their bodies change and mature. From a governmental perspective it isn't a problem but from an RPing one that's an awfully long time to wait for the action to kick off. Unless of course we're starting a ways into their enrolment in the program or the modifications are essentially aging up their bodies in addition to altering them.
I'm interested.

For characters I am looking for someone who has been raised in what seems to be a perfect world, like the society in the Giver. They have never seen or experienced most of the situations of this plot, opening them to sensitivities they never knew they had. Because the entire story is based off of body modification it is safe to assume that GUSP has been able to control the looks of their citizens in terms of body height and build. The mind is where the uniqueness lies, not the outward appearance.

So then what's the point of the program that's based around body alterations to achieve perfect if it's something that's done to everyone anyways?

Also what exactly is the point of the program? To find the best and the brightest I understand but for what purpose? What happens in the actual program? Just like a very selective high school? Based just on the information in the IP even if I was a hopelessly naive fourteen year old due to growing up in a utopia like society I wouldn't sign up for something like this without more information. Especially if I'm one of the really intuitive naive fourteen year olds.
@Muffinator I'd be in for the second idea. Is this still running?
Is this dead?
@HereComesTheSnow I actually prefer that class format over the current one we're using.

The main thing we'd have to deal with for this idea would most definitely be overhauling the class system as a whole, but I can see it being worked out. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary to have additional classes like Dust Apps be squeezed in to fill in for an optional class period without getting in the way of core classes.

This is considering that we don't flatout skip classes as a whole.

What do you all think?

The main problem is that while it could work for things like History, math, science and all the conventional classes a large number of the Beacon classes are specialized in a way that's more like woodshop. Armoury, Survival and a number of others require a specialized environment or tools that couldn't exactly be put into a single classroom. Not to mention that so many of us took different electives.

Back in the hospital because fuck me, right?

Left atrium is apparently enlarged. Could be minor, or my heart could be slowly failing. Only time will tell.

Lolnah, I'll probably be alright, but this is gonna fuck with my schedule quite a bit

Don't be dead.

Also sorry my delayed post. I discovered three weeks ago that while I have the requite classes and credits to get my diploma I'm missing a Christian Ethics credit which is required to attend the grad ceremony so I've been working myself to the bone on cyberschool to get it done before the deadline. On top of that I've got play practice for the local company's rendition of Monty Python's Spamalot which opens in three and a half weeks so we're practicing four hours a day. I promise just as soon as I can that I'll get a post up that propels Oswald into a situation where he can interact with people who aren't stuck on my stupid busy schedule.
