I like this race a lot, and I'm excited to see more about your character. I'm a little concerned about them being overpowered, because they have a lot of RP-relevant strengths and only a few weaknesses, some of which seem a little too specific to affect the RP or your character very often. You say that they're easy to cripple and not inherently gifted combatants, but this seems contradictory to the fact that they're very strong and agile.
One thing I really like about this race is that you say they're quite anarchistic and typically drawn to less-than-legal lines of work. I think that would make for a very interesting character.
Overall, I'm impressed, though I would like you to be a little more specific about your race's strengths and weaknesses.

Life in Space

Appearance: Kabiri is slightly taller than most Almysts, standing at five feet tall. She has coarse black hair and small amber eyes. Her nose is small and upturned, and she has fairly large eyebrows. She has long, coffee brown hand talons and slim bird-like legs. She typically wears a hooded thawb-like garment, traditional of religious Almysts.

Abilities: She can communicate with others telepathically.
Skills: She can read, write and speak in multiple alien languages, and she is a skilled medic when it comes to treating wounds and treating minor illnesses.
Backstory: Kabiri came from a large family in a simple village on Balazan. The worship of Zyl was her family’s sole focus, and they fully expected her to become a nun, but after a crisis of faith she decided to explore the galaxy. She’s spent the last four years exploring the Kuth arm, trying to find herself or (preferably) something greater than herself.
Personality: Kabiri is thoughtful and quiet, though not shy. She is serious-minded and very compassionate. She avoids talking about her people and her past.
Other: She rarely strays from the side of her Zaratic bodyguard, Luka.

Appearance: Luka has pale, dusty skin and huge muscles. She has almost no breasts to speak of (typical of Zarats) and often wears open shirts because she likes to show off her physique. She looks fairly androgynous by human standards, with a square jaw and such a masculine physique. She has long, light blond hair that is kept in two thick braids. Her eyes are light green and fairly small, with light lashes.

Job: Mercenary, currently employed as Kabiri’s bodyguard
Abilities: She’s an incredibly gifted Zaratic warrior and hunter.
Skills: She’s skilled with a glaive and is, unexpectedly, quite a good singer.
Backstory: Luka was the only child of two feared Zaratic warriors. She always wanted to see the galaxy, and as a young woman she left to join the Talon Merc Company, where she earned quite a fortune and reputation as a highly skilled mercenary. She recently left the company for unknown reasons and is now working for Kabiri Bravis full time as a body guard.
Personality: Luka is a boisterous, jovial woman. You can usually find her sharpening her glaive or challenging someone to a drinking contest. She’s typically happy and loud, but making her mad is definitely a bad idea; she’s been known to maim people who call her an orc. She’s very proud of her heritage and speaks highly of her people.
Other: Luka wields a glaive made of a dark, steel-like metal, decorated on the blunt side with casings and caps made of various materials.

I don't know if I'd be a great GM, since I've never GM'd a game before and I'm not too experienced with sci-fi RPs; but thank you! (^//u//^) If you have experience with it, maybe you should be GM.

I wasn't thinking in terms of large-scale space battles, necessarily, but I think that would be really interesting. What I had in mind was more of a sandbox-styled RP that in which we created and explored different alien cultures and the interactions that took place when worlds collide on this space station (I'm a sucker for slice-of-life, you may have noticed), while there was a larger over-arcing plot going on, maybe a war between two planets that slowly becomes the main focus of the RP.
That all said, I'm truly open to whatever you guys want to do, and I definitely want a part in the world-building aspect of the RP.
