Boss Battle: Diabolus

Let's see, it says Diabolus slams his head into the same building he charged earlier shortly before apocalypse's activation. That would be the building Shen was standing on at the time, which is next to Free's building, within Shen's jump distance. Given that Shen did fall a few storeys to extend the distance, the two would be about 50-100 feet apart.

Because of the 45 degree cone, Free would have to fire at at least a 22.5 degree angle, where straight down is considered zero degrees, in order to not hit his own building. If Diabolus is standing at the base of a building that is, let's be generous, 100 feet away, Free's skyscraper can be up to 200 feet tall for him not to hit its base. If it's taller than that, which it almost certainly is, and Free didn't adjust his angle, then yes, you just destroyed the base of the sky scraper... and probably Shen too. It's a good thing we have respawn mechanics in this RP.

Speaking of bottomless bags, how does Solomon carry a 10 foot spear and 8 foot halberd with him at all times? Are doors his biggest weakness?

My humble contribution: the info on those lootable stones is rather vague. I assume the fire stone makes the sword hot, but how hot? And the others are even vaguer. How do you infuse a weapon with earth? Does it turn into stone? That doesn't seem beneficial. It seems far more logical to replace water with ice too.

I'm talking fanon. Basically i was thinking it might be fun to use a character based on Warhammer 40K. I probably won't actually do it, but it's good to know if it's an option.

I believe i'm outside apocalypse' area of effect, as Shen is inside the building that Free is standing on. There's nothing i can contribute before apocalypse strikes, so i'll just skip my turn instead of wasting a post on doing nothing. So you're up again, Schradinger.

Shen groaned loudly as the implausibly loud roar filled his ears, making him feel like a pair of drills were trying to bore through his eardrums. He briefly went through his knee from the sheer pain of the sound, but kept his grip firmly on the fireball in his hand. When the demon stopped roaring, it left a strong ring inside Shen's ears, but he was able to rise to his feet, unharmed but disoriented.

As he was trying to consider what to do next, he noticed the faint twinkle of the mage's charged attack way above. Especially in this state, he couldn't tell if it was a threat to him or not, but decided he couldn't take a risk, not now that he was in such a bad state to be dodging anything. On impulse, he turned his back to the skyscraper Free was on, aimed the fireball in his hand diagonally down in front of his feet and jumped. Rather than throwing the fireball, he converted it into a different attack: an empowered flamethrower. The jet of fire hit the ground and the force of it propelled him further into the air, launching him several stories upwards to crash unceremoniously in into the skyscraper through one of the broken windows. It was a clumsy move to make, but would win him some time to recover from the demon's roar, and probably put him out of the danger zone of whatever the mage was about to do.

And indeed we can't really change mid battle. But this one will be over soon enough and you can replace me upon the start of the next battle, which may or may not be in a separate thread, seeing as this one is called "Diabolus".

1. Kitsune looks usable now, though Laios will have to give the final judgement on that. Unless anyone strongly objects, which i doubt they will, i think i'll skip the next 2 fights or so, let you take my place in the meanwhile, and come back when the powerlevels start to rise and it makes sense to have 4 players. There's other stuff i need to get done in the meanwhile anyways.

2. Soooo, apocalypse fires in a 45 degree cone and Free is assumably standing several hundred feet away from Diabolus. If he fires, isn't he gonna destroy like, everything?
