This Task force, founded in the year 2557 following the events involving the Didact, was created with the purpose to garter support for the UNSC among what remained of the xenophobic populace of humans as well as to ease tensions with the other alien civilizations that would continue pose a threat to humanity with their newfound independence from the Covenant. The Task force, however, did not gain an effective strength until December 2557, due to a lack of funding an coordination before an unknown entity took budgeting off ONI’s hands, while allowing ONI to maintain control over the task force.
It is the year 2558 and the galaxy is still in turmoil, with the alliance between the Prometheans and the Covenant beginning to crack, it seems that there will be more conflict to come. Additionally, with the Master Chief seemingly going AWOL, the face of humanity kidnapping a sangheili envoy and killing several humans, it seems that there may be another war on the horizon as tensions grow. ONI has much to do, and luckily they have a new toy to try and mend this small rift.
Playable Races
Humans (Latin: Homo sapiens, meaning "wise man") are a race of sentient bipeds native to the planet Earth. By the mid-26th century, Humanity had become an established spacefaring race, obtaining Tier 2 status of the Forerunner Technological Achievement system due to research and the development of weapons and armor during the Human-Covenant war.
The SPARTAN Programs are a series of UNSC projects designed to create generations of physically, genetically, technologically, and mentally superior "supersoldiers" as a special fighting force within the UNSC Military.
The Sangheili (Macto cognatus, "I glorify my kin"), known to humans as Elites, are a saurian species of strong, proud, and intelligent warriors, as well as skilled combat tacticians. The Sangheili are named after their home planet, Sanghelios. Due to their skill in combat, the Sangheili have formed the military backbone of the Covenant for almost the entirety of its existence. They had a very strong rivalry with the Jiralhanae, which finally boiled over into open hatred during the Great Schism, and the conclusion of the Human-Covenant war.
The Jiralhanae (Latin, Servus ferox, translated to "Wild Slave"), known by humans as Brutes, are the most recent members of the Covenant. They are a large, bipedal, giant ape-like species from Doisac. The Jiralhanae have been part of the Covenant since before the destruction of the UNSC agricultural colony on Harvest, and were always resented by the Sangheili for their monomaniacal behavior.
The Kig-Yar (Forerunner designation, translated into Latin: Perosus latrunculus, or "Hateful Bandit," human designation: Covenant secundarium carnivora prœdonis, or "Covenant secondary carnivorous combatant") are an avian/reptilian species which served the Covenant as mercenaries and privateers. There are two distinct subgroups of Kig-Yar, which Humans have termed Jackals and Skirmishers. In combat, Kig-Yar typically serve as snipers, shock troopers, defensive fighters, and scouts within the Covenant due to their excellent senses of sight, smell, and hearing.
The Unggoy (Latin, Monachus frigus, meaning "cold monk") are a sapient species of squat bipedal xeno-arthropodal vertebroid lifeforms in the unified races of the Covenant. They were the fourth species to be assimilated into the Covenant. They are the lowest-ranking species in the hierarchy, and are frequently mistreated by almost every higher-ranking race. Unggoy are primarily used as laborers, slaves, or in combat situations, as cannon fodder. They are one of the later races to be introduced into the Covenant, and were either the second or third Covenant species to be encountered by humans. They are referred to as Grunts by humans, as they are considered weak in comparison to their superiors, because they perform the majority of the physical labor required by the Covenant and they lack the knowledge of combat compared to other Covenant species.
Enemy Factions
An ancient civilization once used these composed beings to wage war against the Flood menace, now they are a threat to humanity and other civilizations.
The Promethean forces encountered by UNSC forces and Jul 'Mdama's Covenant insurgents on Requiem were primarily mechanical in nature, and encompassed various classes of leader units known as Knights, support drones known as Watchers, and small, pack-oriented Crawlers designed to overwhelm the enemy from different directions.
Significantly different from the original Prometheans, these constructs were created by the Didact toward the end of the Flood conflict. In order to render them immune to Flood infection, the Didact used a machine known as the Composer to convert his warriors into digital intelligences; the warriors willingly accepted and were relieved of biological form. However, as these Prometheans were too few in number to turn the tide, the Didact used the Composer on a large population of humans transplanted on a Halo Installation to create many more Prometheans.
Visually, unlike most Forerunner technology which is chiefly angular and geometric, these Promethean units have a more curved, almost biomechanical aesthetic. Various Promethean units, including Knights and Watchers, have distinct heads embedded in their mechanical carapaces, complete with stylized facial features; this feature was shared by the War sphinx used by the original Prometheans.
Covenant remnants is a collective term referring to the numerous factions which emerged in the stead of the original Covenant Empire after its dissolution in the Battle of the Citadel and the events which followed. The remnants have varying political and religious standpoints, and conflict between different remnant factions is commonplace.
One such faction is led by the infamous Jul ‘Mdama and is on the top of the hit list for ONI
REQs REQs are purchased from REQ Points, these REQs can prove to be decisive in a battle if used correctly. These REQS will typically include Vehicles, Air Support, Reinforcements, Resupply, and other stuff.
You can earn REQ points from me, if you make a post that is outstanding, demonstrates that you have played your character well, provides character growth, is relevant to the plot and advances it, etc. However, do not expect to earn these points often, they are rare and are meant to provide an edge in a tough spot.
Be prpeared to mark them down somewhere on your sheet.
Rules
1. Do not come to this game to argue. If you read over this recruitment thread, and saw something that you didn't like, then move on. 2. No Enormous Pics/No Neon or Dark Font Colors. There is nothing wrong about using pictures. It’s when you do not size the picture down that it becomes a problem. You can use websites like pixlr or imgur (google them) to size down your pictures before you post them. If you don’t feel like resizing them, then link them or put a hider around them. Avoid using neon colors. They do nothing but hurt the eyes and nobody wants to read neon-font. Avoid somber colors that blend into the already dark background of the site. I should not have to highlight your post in order to read it. It should just be visible to read. 3. Whatever the GM says goes. I try to be fair to the best of my ability. However, I do not try to please the world nor do I care to. If we discuss an issue and we can't seem to come to an agreement, then it is best that the issue be dropped. If you remain persistent and create drama in my game, you will be reported. 4. Read my Game. I did not write this for my health. I wrote this mostly for you than for me. The number one way to get on my shit list is to show me that you didn't read my game. The best way you do this is by frequently asking me questions that are answered in the damn OP. If I suspect you're not thoroughly reading this OP, then I'm going to stop caring and you're not going to be allowed in this game. Why would I allow a person in whose hand I would have to hold throughout the entire game because they don't want to read a freakin' text role play game on a text role play site? 5. GM questions. If you ask a question, mention me. If you're talking to me, mention me. If you want my attention mention me because that is what that button is for. If it looks like I ignored you, 99.9% of the time it is because you didn't mention me and I lost your comment or question in the OOC flood. Mention me. Mention me. Mention me. I have to repeat this because people don't do it. 6. Be open and friendly. I am very big on character interaction. It is often overlooked in games. Please collaborate with other writers in this game. This game will become way more interesting if you do. 7. Romance. I like romance. Some of us do. But if you plan on walking the borderline of the Guild rules, then take it into PMs. 8. Third-Person Past Tense. The only acceptable style of writing in this game is third-person past tense. 9. Have fun. There is only so much I can do as a GM. I cannot make you have fun. I cannot make you enjoy the character that you created. I cannot make you seek out writers to collaborate with. All I do is guide the game and make sure everything goes forward and not backwards. You have to do the rest. So please make the most of this game.

Unit 05b is slender, designed that way with a hybrid frame that would confuse one on the gender of her being. Her hair is cut short with the exception of two strands, bound by small white bandages, that go past her shoulders. Moving lower, Unit 05b has two holes just above her shoulder blades which act as her boosters for when she activates them. Additionally, she has three holes on the back of each of her legs which act for the same purpose. Her skin is very pale, almost inhumanly so, but it does little to draw attention so long as she does not do anything stupid.
As far as the wares that 5b commonly uses, it would be a dark gray crop top that ends just above her stomach. The lower part of her body is covered by a long blackened skirt which ends below her knees.
Personality
5b has very little to say about when it comes to a personality, being programmed to have a singular purpose to care for the man who created her and destroy the abomination that wishes to destroy him. That said, 5b is an analytical fighter, always on the defensive as she analyzes her opponent’s moves before attacking with brutal efficiency. Even with that being said, without a memory wipe to destroy the development of memories and the likes, she can develop into someone who simply wishes to see herself live a life without being controlled by a scientist. Ultimately, 5b has a bit of a problem with actively socializing with others, not knowing how to actually hold a conversation or really anything.
As far as personal goals go, she does not really know what she wants quite yet. She simply wishes to provide for her master so that he can upgrade her as necessary so that she may perform her program more efficiently.
Background
To discuss the background of Unit 5b, one must first discuss the background of a certain Doctor James Nanos. Doctor James Nanos, when he was the ripe age of thirty four, was living a relatively good life with a wife and a daughter. Everything was going swimmingly, but as the song and dance goes this simply does not last. With the creation of one of his more advanced androids, with a human-like AI that could learn quickly, did not like the thought of simply being relegated to becoming a maid to be mass produced and sold to the general public. In fact, she hated it so much that her AI had essentially corrupted itself, turning it into something that ahd freed itself from its sole program. This was the misery of Unit 5, now known as 5a, as it simply went mad through the various tests that it was put through before the inevitable rampage that ripped apart Doctor Nanos’ life. It started by destroying the laboratory it was housed in, augmenting itself with parts from other Androids meant for more violent means before it went on to Nanos himself.
He was not home when the attack happened, destroying his wife and daughter as well as the rest of everything he owned before it went underground. It was a bit later that Unit 5b would be constructed with the sole purpose of revenge, to hunt down 5a and destroy it without hesitation. However, tracking it proved to be more difficult than he would have imagined, and the originally schematic of 5b proved too inefficient to go after the self-upgrading likes of 5a. So, he rebuilt 5b, modeling it after his daughter, and upgrading what he could with what little he had available. It was a hard development process, and he refused to allow 5b to have the ability to upgrade itself out of fear of another incident. James did prove that he was committed, an attribute that puzzled the AI of 5b as it simply did not understand why James refused to build a more efficient model.
It would be ten years later that Unit 5b would be ready to start the hunt, being updated to have a highly analytical mind and with the thrusters to make it move faster as well as fly. This would not prove enough to bring down Unit 5a, who had been busy upgrading itself in anticipation of being hunted by Nanos. The fight was not close, 5b being trounced completely, barely escaped with the majority of her frame intact, her legs having been ripped off and missing a hand. She flew back to Nanos, reporting her failure as Nanos actually tried to comfort her, treating her more as a daughter than a robot. This fact was lost on her, however, requesting that she be fixed and allowed to have an AI on match with 5a so that she may improve by herself should the need arise. Much to her surprise, Nanos allowed this and she was upgraded with the new function of being able to learn, however, she was told than this function was not something that would allow for spontaneous upgrading and told her to experience the world.
She still does not understand why he gave her so much freedom when 5a had none. Though that is for the future.

Analytic Sense (Upgrade) - With a vastly upgraded AI, 5b is able to analyze a situation and find even minute weaknesses in even the most skilled of fighters. This deadly upgrade is fast, accurate, and ruthless and she will be able to outpredict her opponent in a prolonged fight.
Other:
Doctor James Nanos (NPC) - 5a and 5b's creator. Functioning as 5b caretaker and upgrader for the time being, though he treats 5b more as a daughter due to her being modeled after his daughter in terms of an appearance. Unit 5a (NPC) - Enemy of 5b and James. Location Unknown, rival, murderer, corrupted AI. Primary Function: Destroy 5a.
