You're about to find out how well they work, you damn spider.

Rastun engages his time-slow and charges directly for the arachnid, his blade swinging straight down at the enemy once up close. The time-slow lasts only for a handful of seconds, but in most situations, that amount is enough. He can almost sense the satisfaction he'll get from cleaving the spider right in half. The entropy blade descends and crashes on the spider's head, making a loud clanging sound as it did so. But to Rastun's shock, there's no sign of any damage! Even without its property of aging objects, it's still a rather large blade being swung by a rather large robot. Out of desperation, he slashes away at the cultist mastermind a few more times, but to no avail. The time dilation expires, and Rastun quickly decides to put space between himself and the enemy, who then laughs.

"Just as I thought, that little trick is useless against someone who is ageless! Now what will you do?"
This is certainly turning into a mess already, Rastun thought. Megatron's buttons were clearly being pushed and he's falling for it. Meanwhile, the Astafanel's sensors can't pick up the enemy's location. His stealth technology must be fairly advanced for him to leave no trace to find. The three of them are at an obvious disadvantage in the cult leader's lair. Seeing as Megatron losing his temper isn't going to help matters, Rastun decides to give his own counsel.

"Megatron, shut up and cool off. I don't care if you were beaten by school supplies, this isn't the time to be losing it. Our chances will be worse off if you can't think straight." A part of him feels that will only make Megatron angrier, but it had to be said. He then addresses their common enemy, "If you're going to kill us, just come out and get it over with. Otherwise, I'll just bring this entire place down on you." He readies the Astafanel's wrist cannons to show he meant his words. An obvious attempt at baiting him, but with a damaged enemy mech in his own lair, there was a good chance the cult leader wouldn't refuse to take it. Rastun hopes the enemy comes to him, just to catch the ringleader off-guard with something he hasn't used yet.
"Nor is it Carbombya's," Rastun said with a slight smirk. He then continued, "I suggest we just leave the walking buildings to whatever is left of Carbombya's military. Pitiful as they are, I'm sure even they can handle walking architecture which have no ranged weapons to speak of. And seeing as how everyone in the general area is dead already, plus the fact that the city is now ruined beyond recognition, there's really no need to worry about further casualties. I'm sure both of you are very relieved at that.

"If anything, they can serve as another viable distraction. They should at least last longer than those other fools I sent."
Rastun flies towards the cultists and as he gets closer, their odd effects on the environment become clearer. The sand around them became gold, some buildings warped into piles of sludge while others became alive, and people around them floated into the air and exploded. As for the camels, they fared no better as they were set on fire. He blasts the green and purple colored cultists with the Astafanel's wrist cannons, diverting their attention towards him. The cultists fired back, and Rastun gracefully weaved his Chronoframe through their energy blasts. He then proceeds to slow down time and shoves each cultist into another one, forming a big cluster of them. After forming them into a packed enough clump, time resumes its normal course and Rastun activates his modified spacebridge generator. As Brainwave said, the portal is big enough to swallow a cluster of that diameter.

With the portal twenty meters or so in away from him, Rastun is safe from its pull. Well, safe relative to the cultists, who are being sucked into it immediately while Rastun can still resist its pull. When every one of them was devoured by the rift, he tried to deactivate the spacebridge generator but failed with each desperate button press. Resisting the portal's pull causes massive stress on the Astafanel's armor. Parts of it were cracking apart and pieces of it were being sucked in. Howling in frustration, Rastun slams his fist on the deactivation button and surprisingly enough, that action causes the portal to close. He then hears an explosion and judging by its sound, it happened inside his mech. That must have been the spacebridge generator. Rastun is less than pleased at the Astafanel's condition, with its cracks, missing pieces, and smoke coming out of it but at least the job is done. He now goes to rendezvous with Brainwave and Megatron to inform them of his success. As for the living buildings, that is Carbombya's problem.
"So in essence, I'll be piloting a deathtrap for the duration of this plan with as much room for error as that implies. I almost feel like a fanatic on a suicide mission. The only differences are I don't have a god to pray to and a begrudging acceptance instead of unwavering devotion," Rastun replies back.

He continues, "At any rate, I'm ready to get this done as soon as possible."
Rastun stared blankly at them. One of the Overseers' best agents, piloting their top-of-the-line Chronoframe, reduced to glorified bait? This mission keeps getting worse and worse. To one of the enforcers of spacetime's stability, such a concept would be an outrage. Usually, his missions are to exterminate any rogue elements, at times by himself and others with a squad of sorts. In none of those times was he a decoy of any sort. But now, with little to work with despite their advanced technology, Rastun finds himself begrudgingly agreeing to this.

Swallowing his pride, he says, "Much as I loathe the idea of being bait, I'm forced to agree with this plan. Among us three, I do have the best chance of getting this right. And unfortunately, it's merely a time slow, not a time stop. Though one of the Astafanel's creators mentioned something about it having some sort of untapped potential, but that's beside the point."

Rastun pauses for a moment and something flashes to his mind. "Wait, is there any reason we can't do this same trick to their leader?"
Rastun groans in annoyance. Just what he needed, more things to get in their way. This blasted country really is a magnet for stupidity.

"Alright, Brainwave, is this something we can deal with? If not, I'm at a loss as to how we'll get help for this one." But then he remembered Brainwave's recent suggestion and says, "Though we can try out the unmanned aerial drone bombs you mentioned. I assume you have the spare parts to make this idea work."

[9:33:55 PM] #5462: at all

I'm laughing right now
Rastun thinks of their options. On one hand, a quick decisive strike on the cult leader would be a way to end this fast, if it's successful. They would all make it to the leader before the shoes would, since they wouldn't expect an attack on him this soon, plus there's the group Rastun sent to keep them busy. On the other, none of them know what the cult leader is capable of and they may get swarmed while they try to finish him off. Worst case scenario, the leader winds up killing all three of them himself. Lack of knowledge on his capabilities is a huge disadvantage, so the safer bet would be ambushing his minions first.

He then comes to a decision and says, "Alright, ambush it is. The shoes and their Carbombyan allies ought to be disorganized and scattered by now, so picking them off with surprise assaults shouldn't be too difficult. Who knows, this might even lure out their boss if we do it long enough, though I wouldn't put my hopes on that, admittedly.

"And just to be clear, neither of you have scouting drones or anything of the sort we can use to at least gauge their leader?"
Carbombya: Collateral Damage

Rastun leaves behind his "comrades" to fight their own battles while he looks for Brainwave and "Joe". They'd have to discuss about Joe's real nature sometime, but for now, there's a battle to be fought. He heads towards the direction where the energy signatures are at their most intense, which would undoubtedly lead him to the duo. As he travels towards them, Rastun sees and hears a large explosion in the general area he's heading to.

That can only be them. I'm not looking forward to see their handiwork, but I have little choice.

He gave a short sigh of frustration and continues to speed towards his destination. There were the odd stray Carbombyan regiments, which Rastun promptly obliterated with his conventional weapons. The Astafanel's optic lasers were more than enough to blast through them and despite his mech's size, he's too fast for them to hit, even without taking his time manipulation into account. As he proceeds towards where Brainwave and Joe are, Rastun notices his surroundings become increasingly more war-torn the further he goes on. He then finally sees the two Cybertronians, surrounded by the utter ruin they obviously wrought. A destroyed power plant, several destroyed buildings, and a several mile road stretch completely obliterated.

Rastun, looking at them with utter disbelief, says to them, "I realize we're fighting for our lives here, but you two aren't even TRYING to minimize collateral. Is restraint such a foreign concept? This sad excuse of a country may deserve this, but what we don't need is us getting caught in the fallout from this incident.

"With all of that said, can we now try to locate the cult leader? Preferably without destroying several cities' worth of property on the way."
