@LaXnyd I think everyone is waiting on the teacher

Alright, I'll post after work today.

@Evangaline I think what she saw would depend on whether or not @LaXnyd had soul protect on.

Considering where she is, I'd say my character definitely had it on.

Name: Catherine Maidenmosel
Age: 18 (in appearance), actually close to 55
Miester or weapon: Neither (Witch)
Weapon or Ability:

Wavelength Distortion - Catherine, as a witch that focuses on wavelength research, is capable of masking her own soul wavelength and hide the fact she is a witch. She is just a tad more accomplished at this than regular witches. Much like Medusa, she is capable of hiding in plain sight within the DWMA.

Wavelength Tuning" - Catherine's witch ability, she is, at its most basic explanation, able to force compatibility between a Meister and a Weapon. This is, however, rather dangerous and untested as she is essentially altering souls and not only are any modifications temporary at best but should she become capable of making them permanent they would have heavy side effects involving personality, soul damage, corruption, etc.

Soul Forced Reset Tuning "Yesterday" - a technique developed during her research into souls and wavelengths, Catherine is able to "force reset" a soul by touch, turning back the clock by exactly 24 hours and force the creature to do exactly what they were doing 24 hours ago - whether it be combat maneuvers, talking in a meeting, etc. Also works on witches. "Yesterday" lasts for a minute and the victim is unaware during its duration.

Appearance:

Bio: Born as a witch, the rather utilitarian spells she developed helped her resist the sway of magic and Catherine soon found herself ostracized by the community of witches. Leaving soon after, she began researching the soul in order to try and find a way for witches to avoid, resist or outright defeat the sway of magic altogether.

Currently, she resides as an instructor for the DWMA although her stay there is much akin to a professor in college rather than a dedicated teacher, teaching classes on soul studies for both the NOT and the EAT classes. Her final exam for each class is essentially "There is a witch in the school. Find her". Anyone who has to step out the classroom automatically fails.

Although her spells are utilitarian she is no slouch in combat. Her Wavelength Distortion is capable of boosting teamwork and compatibility between partners and her "Yesterday" Spell can be used to devastating effect in the right situations.

@KatherinWinter

I assumed that Lord Death was in his non-serious/obfuscating stupidity mode - the part where he acts really relaxed and unexpected by someone who imagines Lord Death as a serious person.

Also she's a witch; even if she's not full evil it's not entirely set in stone she treats him with utmost respect

Anyhow, I've edited my post

@BlueJayBaseball

It's alright, I understand. I'll be more careful in the future.

Gah, sorry. I still forget those things exist.

I understand how it could sound awkward if it's read out loud. I'll edit my intro post.

"Seemingly" works better because "possibly" or "different" in this case because "possibly" would imply that some of the students somewhat suspect her - which shouldn't happen right from the outset - and "different" wouldn't work because, well, she's not a human. She's not different, she's just not it to begin with.

This sentence was basically meant to be one giant case of repetition to emphasize the fact that everything about Catherine shown so far is only what she seemingly is. If anything, I should have added a third "seemingly" before "normal human".

Hm... sorry. That was actually meant to be a playful ribbing of "If you're just here to see your kid, please leave, you're disrupting the class". The way she said "Headmaster Death" is more than welcome to stay is to mean that, because he's the headmaster, of course he could stay.

tl;dr, it was her very convoluted and playful way of saying "if you're just here to visit your son then please leave". It was by no means an order. I'm sorry if it sounded like one ;w;

Also, I looked over my post and there were no grammar mistakes. A few convoluted uses of passive voice, maybe, but other than that I ran my post over with a spellcheck just to be sure and I still got nothing.

"Lord Death," A soft, female voice spoke from the doorway, the fact that it grew louder with each word most likely indicating her continued approach, "If you are concerned about your son's performance in class I would be more than happy to set up a parent-teacher conference. However, I don't believe there would be substantial material for discussion considering it is only the second class of the day."

Catherine Maidenmosel walked into the room with a soft smile, addressing the headmaster directly - something no student would do without a lot of audacity, foolishness or disregard of respect - or all three.

"Although," she continued, "I do thank you for looking after those kids while I was making my way here."

Ah, alright. I was worried there was an established teacher there.

I'll get a post up soon.
