I’m not saying she will for sure. But I know what she may tend toward. And all I’m getting at, is that even though we don’t have to make any decisions so rashly, neither do you. You’ve been side by side with her up to this point in her journey. Leaving now would be functionally leaving her lost in the maze of her own ability. And while I can’t blame you for it if you decide to step away, I think she’d be so much better off learning from someone who’s had the experiences and made the mistakes so she doesn’t have to. At least until it’s decided what needs done for certain.

I don’t plan to go anywhere soon. You shouldn’t be afraid of me abandoning her. We’ll need to make plans for the long-term eventually though.

I want her to grow and become a stronger person as much as any of you do. But what I don’t want is for her to start hopping around other people’s dreams thinking it’s a fun game and coming back hurt. I think you all should really have a talk with her and decide what you want her to get out from any of this.

Maybe you’ve made mistakes. I’m not sure about your reasons for not being confident in doing something like this, but I can tell you that you’ve got more experience and wisdom in the field that she can learn from than any of us will ever have in our lives.
