Name: Jason Pollux
Appearance: A wholly unimpressive and underwhelming young man (about 21) of average weight and build with doe-eyes and short, dark curly brown hair. The most iconic thing about his appearance is his preference for argyle sweaters and his beloved grey flatcap.
Starter Pokemon:
Girafarig♂ Lv. 10, nickname Castor
Stantler♂ Lv. 10, nickname Agenor
Equipment: Aura Reader
Personality: Exactly the opposite of the type of guy you'd expect to survive in a place like this, and honestly he'd rather be anywhere else. Although he's had Pokemon as pets his whole life he's always been a bit of a coward and homebody, only stepping out into the world because he had no other choice. The circumstances have done little to make him stronger, in fact he's become more meek as a result. At his best he'd be laid back and funloving, but lately that's not really an option.
History: Used to live in Phenac City, growing up with his best friend Darwin. They received Pokemon for their 7th birthdays, Jason a Girafarig and Darwin a Stantler. They never became trainers though and their lives where mostly uneventful and peaceful until Orre was taken over by Cipher. Darwin was killed trying to prevent his Pokemon from being snagged, leaving Jason to care for it. He probably would have ran and hid, but a chance encounter with the flamboyant Fleet Gyle dragged him into an adventure to assist in the counter attack, and shortly after that he received an aura reader. He's resentful of Gyle due to having just lost a life long friend, but feels like he has no choice but to follow him.
____
Name: Gyle Attwater, AKA 'Fleet Gyle'
Appearance: A tall and lean but physically fit strong-arm guy who unlike his companion definitely leaves a strong impression. He has short light blue hair with a noticable cowlick and red eyes. His ever-cheeky smile and elaborate pilot getup (complete with Go-Goggles) definitely hint at his ridiculous personality, as wearing a blue scarf in the desert would be completely counter-intuitive for anyone else.
Starter Pokemon:
Pidgeotto♀ Lv. 30, nickname Aglaia
Sandshrew♂ Lv. 16, nickname Buster
Equipment: Go-Goggles
Personality: Outrageous. He thinks of himself as a personal hero to the people of Orre, although he's no more capable of being so then anyone else. He also doesn't seem to recognize or feel regret over some of the questionable choices he's made in the past, and still seems to think that everything will work out in his favor if he keeps on working toward his goals. He's outgoing and overly trusting, often socializing with people that he maybe shouldn't be, and although he's not really stupid per say, he's definitely got a poor judge of character and very little world wisdom.
History: Traveled the world as a trainer when he was younger, but has spent most of his life in Gateon Port (is it alright to use cities from the second game?) He had a wife and two sons back home, but he left them behind without warning after being blindly spurred into joining the resistance against Cipher, and has a shockingly apathetic attitude toward this decision, believing his apparent role as a hero more important. He dragged Jason along with him after finding the terrified and broken man on the side of the street, and the two have become reluctant companions.
