Looks: She is a cat girl with light grey fur with darker grey stripes, long black hair, and sapphire blue eyes with very wide black circles around them. She wears a very bright blue dress with lace in the middle, all around, with long, fingerless gloves and socks that don't cover the toes,
Special attributes: To match her mildly creepy look, she is able to control shadows, whether of other people, or just the darkness around her.
Reason for being in the orphanage: She was abandoned as a toddler by her town, and she's been in the orphanage since it opened.

Name: Lyrica Daae

Age: 14-15

Looks: She has long black hair, pale white skin, and dark purple-black eyes. She wears a long, royal purple and black dress with black ballet slippers and black and purple fingerless gloves, and a mask to hide the disfigured skin and eye on the right side of her face. If she's not sitting on her bed then she is sitting in her basic, rickety old wood and metal wheelchair that she has resourcefully redecorated.

Special abilities: She can move through shadows(ex. enter shadows in bedroom come out in dining room), and she can influence people using her words and music. (If a person's will is weak then they will probably end up doing what she tells them to. If their will is strong them they can override her command)

Reason for being in the orphanage: When she was an infant her uncle tried to kill her (resulting in her being wheelchair bound), but her mother convinced him to send her to the orphanage instead, and she has been there ever since.

Special Attributes/powers (if applicable): Vindle is able to summon cards. These cards can have many different purposes. For example, a fire card would catch on fire when thrown or if it's throw up into the air fire will come out. There are also supporting cards like healing.
Reason for being at the orphanage: Due to complications in his history, he was forced to go to the orphanage. His history will be told later.

One of the characters I was planning on using for this is partially wheelchair bound, too. O.o Hope no one minds, that's not something that usually comes up twice in the same RP.

Name: Brigham (Bree) Faulkner

Age: 16

Looks: Grey eyes and short, trimmed dark brown hair with these odd little streaks of black on his temples that look sort of like big poofy eyebrows but are somehow part of his hair. He's pretty small and scrawny for his age because of being poor and also sick for most of his childhood. Is often confined to a wheelchair but can walk with a cane for short distances, and he's getting better at this as he matures.

Special Attributes/powers (if applicable): Shapeshifts into one of these and spends a lot of time like that because it's a state where he's free from paralysis.

Reason for being at the orphanage: A battle with Polio as a child left him weak and unable to walk without much effort. His father left when he was about 4 years old and though his mother struggled for years to take care of him and his sister, she eventually took her own life. His only caretaker at this point is his fraternal twin sister Isadora, who is increasingly distracted by her own affairs.

Age: 16

Looks: A tall, strong young girl with her almost-grey hair in a long ponytail. Appropriate to her name, her skintone and facial features reflect more of her Latin American heritage then her brothers' does. Despite being the same age and being twins, she stands about 5'9" and completely dwarfs Bree in frame and stature, a trait she inherited from her father.

Special Attributes/powers (if applicable): Shapeshifts into this.

Reason for being at the orphanage: Same as her brother, without the sickness though.

Reason for being at the orphanage: Her parents thought of her as a freak and sent her to the orphanage.

Special Attributes/powers (if applicable): Addie has the ability to become completely invisible. IF she is touching anyone, she can also make them invisible as long as contact is kept. Anything being carried or worn by Addie will also be turned invisible. Anything that Addie picks up will also turn invisible.
Reason for being at the orphanage: After becoming blind due to a car accident, which also resulted in the death of her mother, Addie's father placed her in the care of a orphanage, being unable to care for her himself, and believing the orphanage was the best course of action for her.

Special Attributes/powers (if applicable): Brandon possesses the power of Telekinesis, though they aren't very easily controlled, say, if he tries to move an object to the left, he'll probably smash it against the nearest wall to the left if his concentration breaks. He rarely uses them because of this, though he CAN use his powers rather easily to give himself a boost in strength and speed. Also, since telekinesis is a ability of the mind, it is rarely able to be copied, even by those with a copycat kind of ability.
His ability also has the bonus of him using more of his brain, meaning he is a genius. He can do mathematics much more advanced than even the high school level and is a master artist. If he went to school, his grades would be 100's every time. He has what you would call a photographic memory.

Reason for being at the orphanage: His parents were killed in a freak accident, and he was brought to the orphanage since he had no other known relatives.

Reason for being at the orphanage: He's a caregiver that helps out the owner when he's off of work.

Well it appears the person that made this has fallen off the face of the earth, which is a shame, but I'm not surprised, it always happens when I try to join something and get super excited about my character =_= The RP dies inexplicably, I think I'm cursed. I'm just going to go back to HCL, at least it's the one RP I've joined that hasn't died yet.

That seems to happen to a lot of RPs I join, too. Worse, sometimes I feel like it's my fault.

I am extremely sorry, I wasn't on much due to issues with my schedule, but I'm back now. Those of you who have joined recently are accepted, I promise you, I'll be more active ; w ; I want the thread to flourish.
