I stood up, stretching my arms up towards the ceiling and sliding my boots back on. "Yeah, you might as well have a glass of wine while you're at it." I laughed. "Do your thing, take a nap or something." I smiled as he lay back on his bed. "I'll be back in a bit, I guess. Hopefully they aren't far." I took a scrunchie from my wrist and pinned my hair up with it. "Adios!" I gave him a gave him a quick wave before I headed towards the door.
"I can go check the Food Hall. You stay here and relax a little bit." I watched as he rubbed his shoulder. "If they aren't in there, we're just going to have to figure something out." I yawned, covering my mouth with my hand. I wasn't even sure if Sam could understand me through my yawning. "That sound like a plan?" I said clearly.
"People are probably doing the same thing you and I are trying to do." I leaned closer toward him before I sat down in my bed, speaking just loud enough for him to hear me. "Which isn't good for us." I looked up at him as I kicked my boots off.
"Good question." I bit my lip. "Most of the people from our cabin came from the first camp we were at, right? Those guys can't be Jaxlors. At least.... I don't think they are?" I said as we approached the door. It was cracked. I lightly kicked the bottom of the door with the tip of my foot. It creaked open, revealing an almost empty room. There were about three or four people sitting on their beds, packing, sleeping, etc.
We were coming up on our cabin. It was quiet, so I figured everything was just fine. "No clue. I don't use this often. I've had this one for a while." I shrugged and thought for a moment. "I haven't had an attack in a few years... I guess one will do just fine." I gave him a small smile.
I took a deep breath and sighed. There was no need to keep secrets. It wasn't a big deal or anything I just didn't like to tell people I basically couldn't breathe sometimes. "I have asthma. It's not too bad or anything, I just think I need another inhaler in case mine gives out on me while we're makin' a run for it." I patted my pocket where I kept it. "I probably won't even need it. You don't have to get one."
"Ok, that sounds cool..." I drifted off. I wanted to go because I needed a backup inhaler just in case something happened. The last couple of days, my asthma had been messing with me and I needed a back up. "Well, I'm going to need you to get something for me-" I started. "You know what, never mind, it's fine." I pushed those thoughts away. We'd be out of here in no time, I'd be fine. "I can see our cabin up ahead. Things look alright. Nothing rowdy is going on."
"Yeah, you're totally right. Let's stop by and get some meds and such before we get back to the cabins. It'll save us some time-" I paused. "Wait, we don't have anything to carry stuff in. Are we stuffing our pockets and jackets? Or coming back later?" I asked. "It's up to you, I don't mind which one we do."
"Yeah, that's true. We would've heard." I nodded. "I guess everything... Or-- Well, I dunno. We'll see when we get there." I glanced at Sam, noticing he almost tripped. "You good?" I asked, raising a brow at him and smirking.
"I guess we'll find out once we get back to the room." I shrugged. "Do you think something else went down? I mean, people were pissed... I was pissed. They could've done something really risky." I began to think about all of the possible things the fed up soldiers could've done. They could easily overthrow whoever was in charge there. Or maybe the hidden Jaxlors just decided enough was enough and did what they felt they needed to do.
