It would but Asirith isn't the one to interact with others for a long time. If he were to encounter crum, it would be to save his life of give him an edge in combat. After which, Astirith would leave because he presence would bring danger to the innocent.
Alright man, I gotcha ;) I'm going to go ahead and start drafting my first post then.
Well it depends. Astirith would not have any intent on harming Crum. Crum is however an assassin and if he show any ill will intent toward Astirith then he will have no problem in the idea of cutting him down. But the dialouge may be interesting. From the info I have read on the rp. Angelsah not even exist on Earth anymore as usually Angels only walk with that of God and he didn't watch over the earth anymore in this. So I am wondering how he would react to seeing an angel. It's been about 4,000 years since the 'gods' left so it could be cool.
Well my plans with Crum was that he would be recruited into Chaos and fight for humanity, and I think that the "Man of the slums, born of darkness" and the "Angel trying to help humans" dynamic would be really interesting!
<Snipped quote by BKburke> @TheTwistedOne I think that this is a better idea. Maybe we should let at least two other people post before we post again?
I like this when it comes to interactions with other characters. I haven't RP'd in a while so what I'm about to say might be blatantly obvious but I'll just iterate just in case. Maybe have OOC Discussion about what upcoming posts are going to be about, then between those who are involved has to wait for everyone else to post first? Meanwhile solo characters can post whenever until they have to interact? Also: @BKburke I see some cool interactions between Crum and Astirith, what do you think?
Hey guys I'm really interested in joining up for this, but I might take a couple days to get my CS in since I want to read everyone else's characters and whatnot. So. Any idea when this is going to close? Also I am far too lazy to sift through 11 pages of this OOC as most of it seems to just be chatter. However if I'm wrong please inform me so I can go through for useful information. Thanks :D
Hello~ I think I can just drop a CS here right? Well here goes... Name: Crum Age: 26 Attire/Apperance: Bald, however has a tattoo of a facemask on his scalp. Has tattoos of two daggers on both of his forearms. He wears cloth under leather armor (his forearms are bare), and has cloth padded boots. Most of his attire is meant for stealth. Otherwise his face has a scar on his right cheek. About 5'6, 150 lbs his build is what you would expect of a man who clawed his way out of the trash. Race: Human Gender: Male Occupation: Assassin Location: South End/Slums A Brief History: Born in the streets of the slums, Crum had no name until he was nearly 5 years old. Spending his life grovelling and begging for scraps of rotten food in the alleyways he hadn't a need for one. He decided on the name "Crum" because a passerby once told him he was a crumb. Not knowing any language he simply took it as what he was supposed to be called. Around the age of 14 Crum was too old, too beaten, too dirty to receive any real help from the poor folk of the slums; besides, he had lived through 'childhood', unlike most of the other kids he had known. Being that old meant that he had to find a way to scrape together the means of living. Over the next 2 years Crum lived a life of theft, stealing his way to meals, and a place to sleep. When he was 16 a man put enough money for a meal the size of his last 30 meals in his hand along with a small shank; he was told to kill a man. Crum obliged. Crum also found his innate magical abilities at this time. Eventually, Crum became an assassin for hire in the underground world. Garnering enough money to afford clothes, food, and weapons to aid in his career. Other: Possesses an ability that lets Crum hide items as tattoos. Has a limited pool of magical energy to unhide/hide items. The larger the item the more energy it takes. Generally 'unsheathing' one dagger, and putting on his facemask take about the same amount of energy. He can probably do about 20 of these 'one way transactions' per day. (please help me find a better verb for un-tattooing and tattooing items) Extremely skilled in stealth and speed. His close range combat with his 2-dagger style has much to improve on, however is still quite skilled with them.
I'm interested :)
Hi!! I'm new to the forum but I'm very very interested in a One Piece themed RP. I used to only do One Piece style RP so I'll be very familiar with the world. Anyways, I'll leave a character here. Name: John Heggar Nickname: "The Careless" Age: 24 Race: Human Height: 180 cm (around 6 ft) Weight: 90 kg (around 200 lbs) Pirate or Marine: Marine (For now) WILL SELF-DRAW SOME APPEARANCE FOR DIS DUDE SIT TIGHT BB Rank: Lieutenant Personality: John is what one could describe as hyper-active, or perhaps reckless. Well, that or you could call him what most of his friends, and crew call him: Careless. He's not very detail oriented, and can easily miss small, yet important, things. He'll often say something out of place or rude and have no idea he had upset, let alone offended, someone. When it comes to his close friends, he's extremely protective, and perhaps is the only time you'll ever find John actually being a person that acts like they have responsibilities. Since John is so careless and lazy, he often finds some lower ranking marine to take any orders he might receive from his commanding officers. John has almost no temper, and is not easily agitated, and most of the time has a decently cool head. However he's not the sharpest piece of hay in the hay stack, and does almost nothing with his cool head. Instead he loafs about all day and pretty much accomplishes nothing. History: As a child John had always dreamed of being a pirate like the legendary pirate kings, Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Luffy, and left his small home island in East Blue when he was 13 in search of a great pirate crew to join. However, things didn't go exactly how he had planned. He soon found that his dream of what a "Pirate" was was shattered. Most of the pirate crews he approached about joining simply kicked him away, or laughed at him. He was even once told that he could join in the position of a toilet; bringing human 'mess' from the chambers to off the side of the ship. Of course John was eager for the position, however was merely kicked off the ship the same day he joined, nearly drowning before swimming back to shore. John decided he would put a break on joining a pirate crew when he was 15, when he had happened himself upon a Marine base. He told himself that he would just join long enough for him to eat his way back to full strength and then he would abandon the marines in search of a real pirate crew. However during his trainee days he made close friends with other trainees, friendship the likes of which John had never experienced before. So he stayed. He finished Marine Basic training when he was 16. Sea navigation and combat when he was 17, and became a low ranking sailor on the ship of Marine Captain Kris Ajir. John absolutely adored Captain Ajir, and made it his mission to be his right hand man. And thus John began to climb the ranks, passing off his duties quietly to his other low ranking marines and basically spending his life kissing Ajir's ass. At the age of 19 John was promoted to Seaman First Class, and was actually very close with Captain Ajir. So close, in fact, that he asked Ajir if he could give him special training. Ajir complied, as he saw a lot of potential in John; they spent the next 5 years training, and by present day, John was an extremely skilled man of combat. He was most recently just promoted to Lieutenant, and finally he would be able to be the right hand man of Kris Ajir! However, since John never learned the regulations of the marines he hadn't realized that he wouldn't be Ajir's lieutenant, he would actually be transferred away to be some other Captain's ship that actually needed a lieutenant spot filled. John was defeated. With a heavy sigh, he left his good friend Ajir, and departed to join Captain Darian Mekka's station in Loguetown, One of the most dangerous places in the world for marines. Upon meeting Mekka he knew he would despise him: he was strict, menacing, not at all warm or fuzzy, and a meticulous man of details (and upon Mekka meeting John, he knew he would despise John). Since the 3 months John had joined Captain Mekka, he had already had 7 accounts of insubordination, and had been caught at least once a day pawning off his duties. John, sensing that his days as a marine were coming to a close, has begun scouting small pirate crews in Loguetown for a nice fit. John is ready to resurrect his dream. Abilities: Strong close combat skills. His best weapon is probably his fists, though he has yet to choose a real weapon that defines himself. (The arsenal of a marine is quite bland) He's extremely agile and prides himself on his speed. He doesn't use his speed to be tactical however, John isn't capable of tactics. Instead his speed is used for instinctual dodging and reactions, sometimes winning one on one fist fights with raw instinct. Note: I will develop his fighting style over time, but for now he'll fight like a simple martial artist (of no relation to any style because I have no knowledge of any particular style). Techniques: Ye- Inventory: All that a marine has. His cool Marine hat. His cool marine vest. His cool marine pants... you get it. /end So if you haven't figured it out, I want your captain to somehow convince John that he's the man/woman/fish/mythical beast to follow. Keep in mind that I can change the background part if you had plans for the head captain of Loguetown. Also, he doesn't have to join the crew in Loguetown. He can try to stop you hooligans and perhaps might even be promoted(?) to captain to follow your crew for a little while. Then on some other island in the grand line you convince John to switch sides. Anyway, it's all up in the air, tell me if you don't like something and I'll change it accordingly. :D edit: I forgot to mention this, but I realize you don't want marines to start off as high ranking, but I don't plan on keeping my character as a marine, so I assumed that John's rank of Lieutenant isn't an issue. Please correct me if this is.
In Yo- 10 yrs ago Forum: Introduce Yourself
allo' A lil' about myself: I started my first forum based RP back on K-F Forums ( A Fansubbing group for One Piece) In fact I was one of the most active users on that forum ^_^ I used to do these text based Roleplays all the time, I loved creating new characters and backgrounds and whatnot out of thin air. Since the forum basically stopped getting any real amount of traffic about 3-4 years ago I've long since forgotten about RP. Until now. (Hans Zimmer type theme starts playing) Anyways, I haven't done any real writing since High school, since I'm in computing science :P Let's hope I'm not too rusty at it :D I'm going to start poking around the site and I hope to become a regular! See you guys around and happy roleplaying :)
