Name: Eliza Brentwood
Titles: Formerly known as Duchess Eliza of Fallendor, the Paragon of Virtue, and Empress of Light. Currently known as Eliza the Wicked, servant of the Dark Lord, commander of a sect of his army.
Age: 30 years old
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Appearance:
Eliza is arguably the epitome of beauty. She stands at 5'10 and weighs 140 pounds. She has a face so bright and disarming that it's a real shock to find out how different she is on the inside. She still dresses like she's royalty because it makes her feel like she's more in charge than she actually is.
Personality: The mental state of Eliza has been a figurative roller coaster in the last couple years. She was once a ray of sunshine; a beloved leader and role model who was bubbly and kind. But when the Dark Lord's forces were on the verge of taking her province, she was forced to cross every line she ever knew. She's never been the same since. Now she is without empathy; a cold, menacing woman whose greatest desire is to see the rest of civilization brought to its knees.
Skills: Expert strategist - when in Fallendor, Eliza took many classes in learning the science of war and battle, and she even commanded Fallendor's army on a few occasions because she was such a prodigy as a student of battle strategy. This is her most valuable asset, as it's part of the reason she was allowed to merge into the Dark forces at all.
Seductress - Eliza's beauty and charisma allows her to get what she wants if she needs to by wooing over she pleases. Not everyone cares for her acting, of course, but most men find it hard to resist. She only tries to seduce when absolutely necessary.
History: Eliza Brentwood forgot what true happiness was at a relatively young age. She was a bargaining tool to unite two noble families, forced to marry a cold and unforgiving man named Edward, and their time spent together was expectedly unpleasant. He was an abusive man, and Eliza hated him — though she concealed her rage for the good of the province. About a year after their marriage, however, the forces of the Dark Lord were upon them. Orcs, trolls, and dark elves advanced towards their small province Fallendor. Many brave soldiers tried to stop their foes' surge, but it was futile, and they were slaughtered. Eliza begged her husband to stop sacrificing their people to try to prevent the inevitable. Edward, being the stubborn drunk that he was, refused to surrender, and when Eliza persisted with her pleas he beat her harshly.
When the orcs were near their walls, Eliza decided enough was enough. If the fool Edward remained in charge, they'd all be dead in a matter of mere days. So Eliza patiently waited for her chance to strike, and when the Duke was black-out drunk and unconscious, she slit his throat. He woke up right as she did the deed, and with all of her pent-up aggression she smiled down at him as he passed. In that very moment, the good in her seemed fade. She whole-heartedly enjoyed killing the husband that she had pretended to care for.
Assuming control of the province, she surrendered to the Dark Lord's forces. Of course, they made sure to rack up a body count anyway. Half of the province's population was executed. Eliza's decision to surrender was not all for naught, though. When the leader of the dark onslaught discovered what Eliza had done, he was impressed, and Eliza pleaded with him that she and some of her loyal subjects be spared and even inducted into the Dark Lord's services. Eliza knew that joining them would be her best chance of surviving and more importantly thriving. That wasn't just it, though. The scariest thing about it was that she
wanted to help them. Being married to Edward had triggered something hateful inside of her, his mistreatment of her spawned this rage that made her want to see the rest of civilization fall, thinking that they were all just as bad as he was. The Dark forces must have recognized this, because after heavy thinking, they deemed that Eliza could be very useful, especially considering her strategist background. So they allowed her and a couple of her subjects to join them.
Now, Eliza is as dark and twisted as they come. She was transformed by the atrocities her husband committed and is a product of the disgusting and vile creatures she now surrounds herself with. She's obsessed with power and she's messed up in the head, so she conquers her enemies with hopes to continue soaring up the ranks in the Dark Lord's armies.
Weapons: Eliza is still equipped with the dagger that she used to murder her husband, and takes care of it like it's a prized possession. That's as far as it goes when it comes to her using weapons, though. She isn't much good with it — she wasn't trained in combat, she was trained in strategy. Besides, why get your hands dirty when you have the orcs and trolls to kill for you?
Other: Injected a bit of my own lore into this, do I need to change anything or does it all check out?
