I'm out of town with no computer, so my CS will have to wait for a couple of days, I hope that's okay!

I'm in favor. As for the Alter Ego suggestion, I'm not against it, but the only problem I have with it is that, assuming we aren't using previously used SHSLs, there's not really a way to pull it off. At least in the way it's presented in DR. If you can figure out a way to have it work, then I'm all for it.Speaking of previously used SHSLs, are we going to be having a Good Luck student?

Are we not allowed to use the previously used SHSLs? O_o I was hoping to use one that was in the game....

So will it be happening or no?I personally think the random drawing of the killer will work, and then we just work together as a team, the killer and the one to die to work out the post and how it will work, the clues left behind and everything.Though this also makes the roleplay a bit of a game, and could end quickly if the ones in the roleplay are unable to figure out who it is, unless you will have a character that pulls things back on track if we all start accusing the wrong people? Also, why not have kind of like Alter Ego for a few characters? that way they can still contribute to a degree without directly interfering. Just another idea to toss out there aside from the afterlife, which would be humorous.

I for one disagree with the random drawing. We, the players should have a say in whether our characters murder someone or not because we know them best. Would our character kill someone? Would they kill someone with the right motive? I think that these are important questions that only we should be able to answer because only we know how our characters truly think and how they react.

The system i think would work is to have everyone PM the GM after each motive is announced, whether their character will feel the need to kill or not. (Of course, if a character feels the need to kill without a motive it's okay) and the GM can decide what works best. If there isn't anyone who steps forward, I think this is when it would be acceptable to have a drawing to keep things moving.

This way, everyone but the killer, GM, and possibly victim will be able to do the whodunit thing, and it'll be more fun, IMO. The killer can try to throw everyone off, etc.
And here's another idea. Why not let the dead characters know how it happened? Assuming that everyone knows the twists in the first DR game--I'll keep this as vague as possible just in case--there can be spectators, and the dead characters can become that. This also can be replaced by the idea of an afterlife, where the dead students are all-knowing. They might be able to provide hints like, "Come ON dude, you're forgetting about this piece of evidence."

If we want a whodunit, it might not work if people have multiple characters though.

I like the Alter Ego thing, but wouldn't that be centered around one person in particular? I guess AE could imitate other people so it'd work.
I would post but I have no idea what :/

Perhaps we cap the number of players and just have everyone make more than one CS?

but then we would know who is/isn't the killer D: well, our characters won't know and I guess that's what matters most.

Oh, wow! That's pretty awesome! I wish you luck on your fangame!Once we get a few more interests, I'll post an OOC.

Thank you!

Although the chances are pretty slim--especially considering the closed-off environment--is there any possible way for players to contribute to the roleplay after dying?
I'm actually in the middle of creating a fan game of DR. Needless to say, I'm interested as well.
Hahaha if you want me to double check accuracy, I'm able to do that XD

In fact, it would be nice to have it pointed out if I misuse something, though I stick to only using honorfics almost entirely since I feel like most everything else is unnecessary when you're writing as if the dialogue is translated into English. Unless it's a word that's very difficult to translate, I suppose, but those don't come up much at all.

Oh yes, this is definitely something I can help with.
