Lyric Tidepool
Location: Origami-Filled Tree to Empty Cabin
Interacting With: @spacecakes - sort of.
As Lyric folded the small, intricate birds, she realized that the branches beside her were filling quickly. Should she have had something to hang them up with, she would have done more, but it was not to be. As she had made more, she saw, some had fallen to the ground. She decided to leave them as they lay. More and more people came in, with stranger abilities. It was odd, seeing the lot of them so like herself. Nothing too unsettling, just odd.
She listened in to the boy and girl's conversation. They appeared to be talking about cabins and what to do at arrival. The girl was clueless, but the boy knew what he was doing. She didn't catch their names, but managed to get the gist of what to do. Now informed and ready to go, she took her strips and pocketed them, along with the carving in the shape of a seed. She ran her fingers over the worked wood one last time before moving on.
Lyric suddenly noticed a girl nearby who was watching her fold earlier, seemingly fascinated by the cranes in the tree. She smiled slightly and gave the girl a tiny wave before clambering down from the tree. She'd come to think of it as her tree, considering the physical papery claim she'd made on it, and reminded herself to come back there later for relaxation. It had a nice view of both the lake and the center of camp. It was also pretty far from everything, making it ideal.
She walked across the camp, noting the man resting some ways away. Lyric felt a little out-of-place with no bags or suitcases, so she wasn't sure how she would claim a cabin, but chose one that looked comfortable anyhow. She made sure nobody else had claimed the cabin. Once satisfied, she gave it a good think and quickly whipped out a paper strip. Folding a single crane, she left it on a bedside table on the second floor. She hoped it would suffice for claim.
Afterwards, she decided to get acquainted with her housing and draw a while on her mattress. Small sketches of fictional people, places and things on whole sheets of paper as opposed to the strips from earlier. The drawings looked fine, though Lyric was dubious as to their quality and kept them each face-down in her paper stash she carried.
I wonder what everyone else's abilities come to?
