Robin Hood: the Untold Story

Go ahead and use mine. As soon as we get all the characters (Or the important ones anyways), we will begin. How this starts is the mercenaries come after Aaliyah. How this goes depends on the players, but I intend for the gang to convince the mercenaries (or at least one) to follow along with Aaliyah on a series of small missions before I reveal the big mission.

Name: Aaliyah
Age: 22
History: She is the leader of the "Merry Men" (She does not encourage this name). Despite being a female in a male driven world, Aaliyah command this large group of 30 men (and one other woman) as well as a well-trained general. The goal of the Merry Men is to provide for the underclass citizens of their country, and if that means stealing from the rich, so be it. Aaliyah gathered her group by saving them from some problem or another or inspiring them in some way. Aaliyah's past is mysterious, and no one in her group knows of it, but no one has dared to ask either.
Appearance:

Aaliyah is 5' 1" with blond hair and blue eyes, although she commands respect as if she were 6' tall.

Hi! I'd like to join this rp! Here is an idea for my character. If anything needs changed let me know. I know the darkness sub power is a stretch, but I am hoping it will be allowed. I am open for any adjustments and constructive critisim on my character. Thank you.

Name: Adessa Selorn

Age: 16

Element: Main-Light Sub-Darkness (If approved-I have good reason, see history)

Appearance:

Personality: Very quiet and shy when you first meet her. However when you get to know her she is sarcastic and spontaneous. Has a fear of abandonment and is claustrophobic. Fiercely loyal to her friends, she would do anything, even sacrifice herself for them.
History: Adessa was raised as an orphan (foster care if this is in modern time). She was noticed for her strong connection with light, even at an early age. Someone from the academy noticed her ability and enrolled her, bringing her to the academy now. Adessa has no knowledge of her parents, as they abandoned her when she was a child. She doesn’t know if her parents are dead, or just didn’t want her. Her lineage is a mystery to her, but as far as player knowledge goes, her father was a darkness controller, and he died before Adessa was born. Adessa’s mother controls light, but she could not handle knowing her child may one day adopt her father’s darkness abilities so she abandoned her in front of the church when she was only a week old. Adessa’s mother is alive but her location is unknown. Adessa and her mentors believe that light is her only element right now, however, the darkness is in hibernation, and will only come out in a period of high stress, and while her ability for darkness is strong, it takes a lot of energy, and can be potentially fatal if she uses too much of it too fast.

The scene is Sherwood Forest in the land of Nottingham. The land is governed by a cruel sheriff who was appointed by Prince John. He taxes the citizens into poverty and hangs any man who questions his authority. Here are the characters for the role play:

Aaliyah - This is the character I, as the GM will be playing. She is the leader of the "Merry Men" (She does not encourage this name). Ben - (Available-Feel free to change the name) A bear of a man that protects Aaliyah with his life. Aaliyah saved his life three years ago and he has devoted his life to her since.
Lena - (Available-Feel free to change the name) A beautiful woman that was in an arranged marriage. Her husband was abusive and Aaliyah found her and freed her from her marriage under questionable circumstances that ended with the death of her husband. Some believe Aaliyah murdered him, others believe Lena snapped and murdered him and Aaliyah covered for her, others believe he attacked the women and died when they used self defense. Only Lena and Aaliyah know the full story.
