Hearing Duncan tell Xerox he was stating the obvious, Xerox sighed. I was leading up to telling you that Eika was here. Duncan seemed to be shocked and only realised a little after that Xerox had mentioned Eika. "Yes, she's here and alive. She's here to bust her balls to return to your side, again." Xerox had lost his more professional tone and just started to be casual to Duncan. Being told that capturing "Mako" was a good idea, and what to do Xerox agreed, "Roger, I'll scan and look for "Mako" as we make our way to the control room. Over"

Before radioing to Jericho, Xerox agreed with Heliose that Rachel should be tended to. "Bandages, ointments, potions, hi-potions, ethers. This should be okay for now, but definitely need a better check up when we get back." Looking through the wall, the soldiers were coming up the stairs. "Heliose, can you tend to Rachel first, and when you are ready we will make our way up to the others. I'll hold back the soldiers at the stairs." Xerox asked Heliose.

Heading to the staircase, he radioed into Jericho by getting to Adams. "Hey, pass the radio to Jericho. A rescue team is here. Duncan said to pull the stops and meet with him at the control room. In other words, go loud. Right now, I'm stopping soldiers from coming up the stairs. I've got your drive with me, and I've got a spare scythe you can borrow if you want. Up to you whether you meet up with us before we head to the control room or not." He was about to stop when he heard a cry through the radio, a moomba cry. From the other end it must of been really loud. "Rue?" he asked, pulling out a turret next to the stairs, prepping to fire. Looking up, and tapping his glasses, he could see that in a room nearby Jericho, Rue was being held, with other moombas. "Jericho, On your way out, get those moombas out of the room. It's near you guys, you should be able to tell which from the cries. Please, Rue is in there." Xerox asked for the favor, before starting some suppression fire from the stairs.

The first few soldiers were unprepared, getting completely mowed down. The others hid around the side, waiting for some sort of reload or some point in time when the bullets would stop. But, Xerox was more prepared than that, he could feed in as much ammunition as he pleased, due to his large stockpile in his ESS. "Heliose! You done patching up Rachel!?" he yelled over the turret fire.

In a room near Jericho, Rue cried out. He had been locked up with the other moombas, who had been used for experiments and slavery. All he could do was wait for rescue, and hopefully get the other moombas out of the place.
I'll get one up probably within 12 hours of this post, depending on when I sleep and wake up

Edit: Also it would be nice if @rivaan could post
A simple slice of life version would be fine too, kind of like the way the series starts kind of way

But, yeah ... no interest is not going to help with this lol
As the guards started to walk up to them, Xerox was ready, and knocked the first person out with a single hit, leading to a concussion. He saw Heliose start to grab the gun from the other guard, as he went for the last guard. Getting ready to draw their sword, Xerox put his own hand over their hand, stopping the draw, and executing a quick roundhouse, knocking him into the wall. Quickly he followed up with a couple of knockout punches. Turning to check on Heliose and Rachel, both were safe, Heliose had secured the gun and the man was writhing in pain. Xerox secured the other gun, dagger and sword. Passing the dagger to Heliose and the gun to Rachel, he continued to lead.

Listening for more footsteps, it seemed there weren't many guards down there for some reason. Whatever the reason, they were able to move swiftly to retrieve the drives. Others having devices, it seemed that all of Xerox's clothes were here. "Finally proper clothes." he said, wearing his clothes. With that, he could finally access his ESS. With this chance, he quickly dropped a number of daggers, of random shape and size and metals and strength. "This will be useful for you right? Just a warning, some of these are brittle and will easily break, others are ridiculously heavy or strong. It's all random at the moment, sort out what you want/need quickly, and we can move on to meet the others." Xerox told Heliose.

After that, he moved towards Rachel, dropping some medical equipment, such as a first aid kit, bandages, pain killers and an exterior robotic device made to help the body recover. "We should get you ..." he was interrupted. An alarm was set off, and although soft from where they were, there was rumbling, suggesting explosions. From his ESS he grabbed his glasses and quickly tuned them.

Up above them, it was eight floors to reach ground level. On ground level, he noticed a familiar face. Eika. It also seemed other SeeDs were coming, some going up, others going down to rescue the captured SeeDs. Dropping a radio, he pressed a few buttons on the side of his glasses. Locating Duncan's team, and the radio frequency in use, through the glasses, he set his radio frequency. "Fresno, do you hear me? Give the radio to Duncan, there's a bit of a situation he should know about." he quickly informed the guard, waiting for the radio to be handed over.

"Duncan. This is Xerox. I'm with Heliose and Rachel with our drives. Jericho is off to sabotage the power junction. Right now, above us, there's a team of SeeDs making their way through the building, and Eika is acting diversion. It seems a rescue squad is here. I believe we have the advantage with our reinforcements. It is quite possible we could capture "Mako". We should take this opportunity to get information about who our real enemy is. Seeking advice on how to proceed." Xerox informed and suggested to Duncan, before continuing to scan the area with his glasses. Enemies were making their way up from the stairs, to go up and fight off the intruders. "Looks like there's a bunch of them coming up the stairs. We should try to cut them off, or the other teams might get pincered and killed before the rescue team arrives. What do you two think?" Xerox asked the Heliose and Rachel. "Rachel, you feeling better?" he showed concern, while on the look out for the enemies coming. He made sure to store the other drives in his ESS and had started to pull out some weapons they could use.
Yeah, I was planning on making the sneaking ... well less necessary with the others coming along now lol
I am waiting for rivaan and Caits, but I want to move the group along T.T
Hm... with everything that is happening, I kind of want to move the team that is getting the drives along
"Well, we might not get our equipment straight away, but when I get my drive, I can at least supply equipment. Both weapons and medical equipment. I got a lot in stock." Xerox replied to both Heliose and Rachel in the one sentence. Rachel pointed out the footsteps, Xerox listened in. Hm... three sets ... two holding guns, one with a sword on their back and a dagger at his side... Listening through echolocation, he could pinpoint the weapons they had, but not anything that was hidden as most of the sound was bouncing off their clothes.

They had made their way down the stairs and barely arrived at the third floor, at which had a number of corridors, annoyingly enough, when they could identify the enemies. Xerox whispered to Rachel and Heliose, "There's three of them just ahead, two with guns, one with a sword and dagger. I don't know if they have any hidden weapons or anything, it's hard to tell if you haven't got a full mastery of echolocation. We should prioritize taking down those with guns first, if they shoot, it's going to be hard to keep going without them noticing. You two go from the right side, I'll come in on the left. When they walk past, we take them down and take their weapons. Alright?" Xerox moved over onto the other side of the corridor, on the left of where the soldiers were coming from.

The footsteps were approaching, Xerox was hiding on the side, waiting for the enemies to come out, ready to knock out the first person. He was ready to aim for the person's chin, rattling the brain to cause a concussion. Finishing them in one shot would allow him to move onto the next person and silence him before he got a chance to draw his weapons.
Yeah I just finished up my convo (I think) with @Little_ninja. Ninja, I'll let you put the conversation in your post when you make it. I'm going to be busy for a while so I might not be able to write up many longer posts.

Alright
Just posted it now
Collaboration

Private First Class Cecilia Rousseau

and

Private First Class Evan Carn

His targets sighted, Evan strode over and greeted them. "Evenin', you two. What d'ya think of the squad so far?"

Ashart looked up when he addressed them, and quickly made an excuse before scurrying off. Hmm... Rude. Though maybe his actions, what with kidnapping them as well as his actions in the APC, hadn't left them with a very favorable impression of him. Fortunately, Rousseau didn't seem scared off by the mountain approaching her. Shrugging his shoulders, he tried to strike up the conversation again.

"Ok then, let's try this again. Good evenin', PFC Rousseau. What do you think of the squad so far? Feel like ya fit in yet?"

With little of anything to do after joining the squad, Cecilia struggled to get along with the others it seemed. It just didn't seem right to strike up any conversations since everyone else was already pretty much talking to someone else, leaving her to just sit and wear off the last bit of the booze, sobering up early in the drive. As she was thinking about what to do if she got the chance to go back to base and the possibilities of what has happened to her stuff, someone started to approach.

"Evenin', you two. What d'ya think of the squad so far?" he asked. Thinking for a moment, she watched as the other shocktrooper that was recruited seemed to scurry away. Looking at the mountain of a man approaching, she was wondering, Who is this guy? "Ok then, let's try this again. Good evenin', PFC Rousseau. What do you think of the squad so far? Feel like ya fit in yet?"

Suddenly something clicked. She pointed at him. The voice, she had heard it, just earlier in the day in fact. "So ... it was YOU who drove this APC into the base. It was YOU who parked it in the practice vehicles area. It was YOU who drove it to the battlefield. So, it was YOU who got me into this mess. I mean, who the hell drives an APC into the practice vehicles area!? Why didn't you check if there was a drunk person or something!? I end up on the battlefield with no gear, clothes and really bad hangover."

After she had her word, she stopped for a moment, lowering her hand. "Ah, oh well. No used crying over spilled milk. But, I don't care what you say, your paying for my drinks the next chance we get. Think of it as your punishment for dragging a drunk onto the battlefield when they were sleeping. Anyway, moving along. Evenin'. I haven't really spoken to much of the squad so no idea whether I fit. Everyone else was talking, and I didn't really have much of a chance to speak so yeah. By the way, who are you? And how did you know my name? I don't remember introducing myself to anyone, besides Celeste, Seargent Harald and that guy who just ran away."
[/hr]
The sudden tirade of accusations caught Evan by surprise, though admittedly he shouldn't have been. In answer to all the questions that had been leveled at him, all he could do was shrug. "Oops." In truth, he hadn't even checked the APC for stowaways until they were about to leave, and his exhausted mind had thought it was a perfectly logical thing to simply drag the sleeping drunk along with them - with or without her gear. Not that Evan was going to apologize. Too late for that now. "Well yer mostly kitted up now, so you're good to go. Seems like it all worked out in the end. Besides! Now you've got another story to tell who ever your drinking buddies were. How often do ya get a chance to say: 'Yeah, well one time I got so drunk that I woke up on a field op.'?"

When the girl started insisting that he pay for her next round of drinks, Evan let out a hearty laugh. "Ahaha! Alright, I suppose I owe you at least that much." Something told him this was a mistake, though, and that his wallet would be regretting it later on. When Cecilia asked for introductions, Evan extended his hand for a handshake. "Name's Evan. Evan Carn. And I think I checked your ID tags when I originally... heh. Kidnapped you." He mentally prepared himself for another outburst to be directed at him due to the fact that he admitted to actually knowing about her being in the APC when they drove off.

"You're a shocktrooper though, right? Well you're off to a good start if you were talking to Ashart. Uh... Ashart, Sykora and Skye. Evan counted on his fingers as he recounted the number of troopers in their squad. "Yeah, those three are the only other shocktroopers we got. Ya might wanna get to know them since you'll probably all be fighting in the same areas."

Glaring at him, Cecilia sighed. She knew he wasn't really feeling bad about what he did at all. Making a joke of the whole thing. At least he accepted to pay for her drinks next time. He finally ended up introducing himself, "Name's Evan. Evan Carn. And I think I checked your ID tags when I originally... heh. Kidnapped you." When she heard it ... she paused. So ... he knew I was sleeping drunk in the APC ... and still took off? What's with this guy was all she could think.

"Yes, I am a shocktrooper. Nice to know there's a few of them on the team. I was the only one in one of the other squads I filled in for. So ... Ashart, Sykora and Skye ... Guess I need to meet them some time." Cecilia replied as Evan told her about the situation with the shocktroopers. "So, what's the squad like? Like who is who and everything." Cecilia asked, wondering about what information she could get. She could then hear her name being called out, "Alright then, Ashart, Fairglaive and Rousseau sound off so I know who every one is!"

"Uh... Who's that calling me? And what does he do?" Cecilia asked.

Evan thumbed towards Hunt, when asked who was calling her. "PFC Hunt, our daily reminder of how the Army looks down on us militia. Was a scout in the army, but got transferred here for... some godforsaken reason." He shrugged. "As for the rest of the squad, we've got... Evan listed off the members of the squad and gave a quick (albeit somewhat sarcastic sounding) description of each of them. "I think that's everyone. Anyways. You might as well go figure out what soldier boy wants from you. He'll get all pissy with ya if you don't."

"Oh, someone from the army. I see. Hunt, huh ..." Cecilia said. She listed to her brief introduction to the members of the squad, nodding a bit. "Yeah I should get going. I'll see you later" she replied, grabbing the SMG she was given and headed out of the APC.

Heading to where Hunt was, she peered at his stripes. Lance Corporal? I thought Evan said he was a PFC she wondered. "Excuse me, Hunt. I was informed you were a PFC... Also, sorry for the late introduction." she straightened up to give a salute, "Private First Class, Cecilia Rousseau, reporting in."
Well this has happened to me before. I just go with it
