The Relics

I edited Sven and chose mind control over illusions due to not being able to figure out the technical details of illusion such as area, whether it was smoke and mirrors or realistic illusions that were implanted in the targets mind to seem real.

As for the characters with no allegiance how about they form together to create their own faction where they try to influence things together? That way they will be connected and will have loyalties to the faction they create.

Relic Description: The Eye of Continentia is a shaped ball of marble with what appears to be a eye in the center which has been placed inside a ring. This relic possesses the ability to allow the owner to Modify and control the thoughts of others and even allowing the evoker to drive the ones he targets insane but this takes long periods of exposure to the target. The evoker must make direct eye contact with the target to take over their minds and even then strong willed individuals will be able to fight it off. If the target is under the influence of alcohol or a drug however the evoker can enter their mind easily. It is harder to make someone do something that is out of their character and will take more effort to completely dominate someone and make them follow a command. While if you give simple nudges towards things they enjoy or that is in their nature the effect will be more long lasting and will be easier to use. To refuel this relic one must either use one's own life force or the life force of another. Using to much of one's own life force can tire the evoker, age them, and possibly kill them. While draining from another can have the same effects but requires long periods of physical contact it is possible to use on animals though it is nowhere near as effective.

-Dishonest: Will lie at almost any chance to preserve his goal and manipulate others
-Guilt: Is burdened by the death of his sister and still blames himself.
-Rationalizations: Finds any reason to paint himself in a good light no matter what sins he's committed.
-Voices: The dead that he controlled while they lived still live on in Sven and have a habit of popping up though this is more a figment of his imagination and is due to guilt.
-cannibalistic tendencies: HE has a habit of feasting on other humans but rarely indulges in it.

+Agile: Is more agile then most others able to outrun and dodge with ease.
+Manipulation: He is a skilled manipulator even without the use of his relic playing on what people believe, their fears, and their loves. He gained this skill naturally over time as most people do but he chooses to use it more.
+Archery: Is a skilled archer from his training with the kalanchi bowmen.

Biography: Born to a family of slaves in Kalnach, Sven had a twin sister, the two were inseparable. Where one went the other went, what one did the other did. The first few years of life were easy for the two due to them being so young and the slavers truly having no use for young lings such as they. At the age of seven the two were tasked with typical house duties most thinking Sven was also a girl due to his long hair and face similar to his sisters. This was a blessing as well as a curse though neither would know this till they were the age of ten and a noble came to the farm to collect his dowry and the serfs that came with it. That was the night that his eyes were opened to the horrors and the evil of nobles.

The Noble used serfs as a way so he could please himself. Not just sexually either, he'd torture the serfs endlessly tying them to a wall their backs facing him where he'd burn and cut them. When he came first he went for Sven thinking him a girl which upon trying to rape the boy and realizing the truth he cared little and still continued to abuse the boy. This was the first step to Sven's mental breakdown as he felt a pain no one should've had to. Then the second step was when the same thing happened to his sister. Laying on the ground helpless Sven could do nothing but watch as his sister went through the same treatment. Then afterwards they were nothing but the man's toys as he began to torture them, first starting with dropping hot coals on their backs or beating them with whips. Then he moved on to cutting them drawing out their pain as long as he could. After only two months of this treatment the two were broken physically and mentally being the only two serfs that had survived the noble's ways. This knowledge was not publicly known however, only the noble and his wife knew of what he did in his spare time. When the noble left to go take care of a dispute with another noble the two made their move.

First they entered his treasure room taking all they could carry which wasn't truly much but this was when Sven ran across the Ring of Continentia and placed it upon his finger as though it had called out to him. Sadly the two weren't able to escape due to their injuries they got caught before they even made it a mile away from the noble's home. When the two were found in their broken states news began to spread and the inquisition caught whiff of the situation. Being returned to the noble he saw the two as a threat to his reputation and life if knowledge of what he had done got out so he decided to kill them after one more session. That night Sven and his sister were tied to chairs right next to each other while the noble drew out a sword that had been sitting over a fire for hours. Sven looked over grasping his sisters hand trying to calm her and take her focus off what was coming next. As their eyes met everything she knew, everything she experienced and all her emotions flooded Sven and when the hot blade sunk into her he felt that as well. The excruciating burning sensation that started in the center of the chest and spread made him want to cry, and knew his sister would've as well if she hadn't died. When the noble approached him though Sven met eyes with the noble Sven's anger got the best of him as he activated the ring of Continentia off of instinct as though it guided him. Controlling the noble Sven made him first free him and then take Sven's spot. The tables had turned and Sven enjoyed gutting the noble like a fish and feasting on his intestines drinking and lapping at the man's blood like a animal. After truly realizing what he had done Sven left taking all the wealth the noble had and used it to forge a new life for his self.

First he stashed away all the treasure so he could get to it at a later day and went to join the Kalnachi bowmen where he was taught there ways even though he started later then most. He didn't finish with them till at least the age of twenty-five where he then returned to his stash of wealth and used it to forge himself a new life in Othea where he would use his wealth to open a tavern that not only supplied food and drink but a gaming place where many could come to spend their money, many more services were provided such as feminine entertainment that could be rented along with a room or even giving out loans. This was for the common rebel though while the upperclass were given much more pleasantries such as renting private rooms for discussions among themselves, or renting one of the waitresses. Men usually spilled many secrets around women which made their way back to Sven. Sven now seems to be nothing more then a businessman but no one knows his true goals.

Personality/motivation: At one point Sven was happy even with being a serf but after the death of his sister things took a turn for the worse. Delving into the mind of his dying sister Sven has had her memories permanently etched into his brain he felt her pain and it broke him mentally leaving the poor boy in shatters that not even training among the kalnachi bowmen could erase. Yet escaping to Othea seems to be helping the young man as he appears to have calmed down and owns a tavern but his true goals still aren't known.

Laying on a operation table with a hologram of the news playing before him Cain had his eyes closed a block of Titanium, and Tungsten hovering above him. His eyes closed in concentration as he focused on the metals targeting the molecule structures that gave them their forms and abilities. Slowly changing the structures from a crystal type structure into one similar to glass the metals started to deform turning into little grains of sand sized particles of metal that then began to flow downwards to Cain's robotic body. The chest cavity lay open with his power core open to the air. The small cylinder that had been created using a form of cold fusion but used on a micro level. So far only his chest cavity had been completed. Over three days he spent building it and the new reactor to power his body now he was on the final leg of his race. The particles slowly started to form together creating a layer of metal that covered his chest and began to spread towards his legs first building the skeletal frame for the legs. "Our hero Asyr has finally met her match." A reporter said which caused Cain's eyes to shoot open and breaking his concentration all the grains of metal falling onto his body and spreading across the floor beneath his feet. He stared at the headlines pushing himself up and walking towards the hologram limping with every step as a replay of Aysr's battle with The End was replayed. Cain couldn't believe it, his one true chance at vengeance was being taken away from him.

"No! Noooo!" Cain screamed loosing control of his temper the metal table he had just been laying on lifted up into the air along with every particle of metal he had been working with then in a instant the fell to the ground. The particles then slithered across the ground to Cain's body before forming around him creating the rest of his armor starting from the legs. To anyone looking at the process it would seem impossible but Cain has passed the limits of human science due to his power. What would take them years to accomplish he could do in days. His body now complete with a metallic black sheen he looked at his new arm opening and closing the fist imagining The End's throat was around it. The only one who had a right to kill Aysr was him and The End was trying to take that. So in return Cain had to stop The End he was eventually going to have to do it anyway if he wanted peace for the next generation so why not do it now.

Cain walked to a nearby wall that opened into a doorway that shut behind him leaving the man in the sewers beneath Urban City. This wasn't his base of course it belonged to the old nightmare. The villain that Cain had killed when his powers came into effect. Claiming the name Nightmare Cain would now set out to do something completely opposite of what he had been planning. He was going to save Asyr, and then he would kill her. Exiting the sewers through a manhole Cain came out on Gotham Boulevard and walked towards Metropolis square his metallic body clancking with every step that made contact with the concrete.

Electromagnetism: Through his control of electromagnetism Cain is able to control the electricity as well as any ferrous metals. This involves pushing and pulling or shaping them into constructs. Combining the two he can even attract and repel objects that aren't magnetic. These also allow him to interact with electronics hacking them and using his knowledge to build technology.

Cybernetics: Since about 99 percent of Cain's body is covered in electronics human limitations are not something he worries about. As of right now though the cybernetics are only capable of exerting strength and speed on par of Olympic athletes. His reflexes however are extremely heightened yet mean little if he can not react in time.

Talents: The only talent Cain possesses is his knowledge of technology and knowing the natural limits of it. This is what allows him to upgrade the mechanical parts of his body with new cybernetics that are pushing technical innovations to a new level, yet none of this would be possible without his powers to aid him in the process of understanding technology.

Personality: Cain is just as broken mentally as he is physically. He now looks as almost everybody as scum sucking vermin that aren't even worth living. He wishes to crush and kill all that call themselves heroes though his main target had always been Asyr. Cain can even seem to be a bit sadistic using his creations to cause other pain and taking delight in it. Yet this attitude is only aimed towards adults and the ones that had forsaken him. At all costs Cain will protect children and highschoolers due to not wanting them to suffer what he had. He wanted a future without heroes or villains so the generations to come would have peace.

Personal History: Cain was just a regular high school student before he lost everything in one accident. One caused by the one everyone called a hero. Cain had been nothing but a bystander as the women and one of the villains she fought destroyed the building that he was in at the time. Cain had risked his life making sure his fellow classmates escaped the school but him waiting till he was the last one is what truly caused his fate. The building shook as Asyr and the villain Nightmare fought constantly and before Cain could exit a large chuck from the ceiling fell crushing his right leg and ripping it completely free. Cain fell to the ground screaming, pleading for help but no one had come to him. He laid there till he was silenced by another piece of rubble falling and crushing the boy. His body lay completely broken buried beneath rubble till he was stumbled upon by the very same villain that had been fighting Asyr.

Cain had thought he had been saved but instead Nightmare took Cain to his laboratory where be performed experiments on the boy. Almost all of Cain's body had been destroyed during the accident and only the upper half of his head was left. What truly helped Cain survive this was his hatred for the ones that did this to him. To the ones that had not came and helped him in his time of need when he had helped them. For three years, three excruciatingly painful years Cain's body was rebuilt by Nightmare with cybernetics. Nightmare was limited by the technology at his disposal however building Cain nothing but a basic armor. One that wasn't even good enough, wires were exposed all over the body and it was missing a hand. It was sufficient enough for Cain though however his powers had emerged due to the tragic experience and his rage allowed Cain to kill Nightmare.

Claiming the villains laboratory as his own Cain spent numerous years in hiding repairing himself and refitting his body with cybernetics that put everything up till that point to shame. Then he put down his claim on the name Nightmare posing as the villain that had fought Asyr numerous times. Yet he never truly did any crimes he just made his presence known by hacking into government systems leaving only the word Nightmare.

Lady Asyr: With the death of Asyr coming Cain couldn't be more pissed. His one chance at revenge against the women would be gone. That one urge would never be satisfied unless he could find some way to just keep her alive long enough to regain her powers. His target was now The End, he was going to have to kill him one day anyway to get his perfect world so why not do it early.
