So, hello folks! After yet another unexpected and lengthy disappearance, I'm back and looking to get some more roleplays started!
A little about me:
You can call me Loki or Kay, or even "hey, you!" if that floats your boat. I've very recently hit the 24 year mark, and I've spent about ten or eleven of those years roleplaying. I would like to think I'm at a high-casual to advanced level, but I'm comfortable writing with most anyone who falls in the casual category. Sometimes I just don't feel like forking out a seven paragraph reply, you know? Aside from that, I'm big into videogames and pretty into anime. (So those are decent conversation topics. I guess.) I like to try being artistic too, but that doesn't always work out.
Here are my rules:
Please be literate! I would hope that the casual-advanced tags did the talking for me, but I might as well bring it up here too. I don't expect you to be a grammarian or a walking thesaurus or anything of the sort, because I'm certainly not. I just prefer roleplaying with someone who can make their posts pleasant and easy to read.
Tell me if you're under 18 years old! I will roleplay with you if you're under that age, but there won't be any smut or romance. I really don't feel comfortable with that subject matter when there's such an age gap. Aside from that, please be aware that I DO like mature content in my roleplays. That includes violence, swearing, dark themes, smut, and whatever else that falls into a mature category. Tell me if you have any limits to what you're comfortable with, because I actually have none.
I'm mostly looking for someone who would be willing to play a male, but I can also double for most things - especially fandoms. For fandoms, I'd love it if you could play a canon against my OC. I'll obviously do the same for you if we do end up doubling. Aside from that, I'm also tentatively stepping into same-sex relationships and possibly non-binary characters. (Which means I'm totally accepting of them if you want to play one! Trans characters are also fine with me, I'm LGBTQIA+ friendly.)
Please be patient! I don't know if I'll be able to post more than once a day, or even keep up a once-a-day frequency for any stretch of time. I'm struggling with unmedicated ADD and a flare of depression at the moment, so that will probably interfere at some point. I'll definitely try and keep on the ball, though! And you're free to poke at me until I post too. It's actually very helpful.
I really appreciate OOC chat, but be warned that I'm pretty terrible at holding conversation unless it's about something I'm familiar with. I like getting to know my partner and do like utilizing it as a way to plan for the roleplay and stuff. I am shy though, so I probably won't be giving you paragraphs in reply at first. :P
I prefer keeping a roleplay up through PM or email, if requested. I can probably be convinced to go onto a forum, but PM is my favorite.
Since this was a lot more writing than I planned on doing, I'm gonna ask that you send me your favorite color somewhere in your PM. I just like knowing that people read my rules, because it's awkward to turn prospective partners down for silly things. On that note, please reply via PM! I might not get back to you otherwise.
Key:
Roles in parentheses are what I would like to play.
Anything with an asterisk * beside it means I'm craving it. The more there are means the bigger the craving.
If I have plots or ideas that might become plots, I'll put them in a hider.
Fandoms:
- Tokyo Ghoul*: (Ghoul) x Investigator*, Ghoul x Ghoul, (Ghoul) x Human
- Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic***: Alibaba x (OC)*, Ja'far x (OC)**, OC x OC*
- Dragon Age:*** Anders x (OC)**, Cullen x (OC), Dorian x (M!Lavellan)*, Krem x (OC), Iron Bull x (OC) (Mage) x Templar, City Elf x Dalish Elf, Orlesian Chevalier x (Servant), Orlesian Bards, Agents of the Inquisition*
Mage x Templar:* After a daring escape, a mage is hunted down using the phylactery she left behind. Once the templar catches up to her, he realizes that he knows her. Once he learns the reason for her escape, will he have it in him to bring her back?
Mage x Templar: A particularly talented and withdrawn young mage has been accused of dabbling in blood magic by a slighted Apprentice. Instead of passing judgment without proof, they assign a templar to watch her on a daily basis.
Anders x (OC):* The fighting between the templars and rebelling mages is heating up at an alarming rate, causing more chaos than either side probably wanted. However, neither seem intent on stopping any time soon. After a battle neither of them intended to be in ends, they recognize one another from their days in the Circle.
Can't Trust a Darkspawn:* The Warden let the Architect go to continue its research, which proved to be a bad idea. Some time later, townspeople and Wardens a like begin disappearing. A group is hired and sent to investigate. After some searching, they find that the Architect actually had no active role in it. Instead, one of the darkspawn it "liberated" has begun its own experimentation. With that, it has begun creating an intelligent army with the intention of avenging its fallen brethren.
1.) As with a lot of games like these, I often think of what might happen if the bad guy won: So, the Inquisition failed and Corypheus managed to make himself a "god". Some people still resist, although organized resistances never last long. When a pair (or a group) of these rebels stumble upon an ancient source of power, it dawns on them that their adversary might not be as untouchable as everyone thought. (Still pretty vague; would have to figure out what they found and why it hasn't been confiscated/destroyed by now, among other things.)
2.) Something to do with The Enigma of Kirkwall because I think there's a LOT of material there.
3.) Not really a plot idea, but using alternative Inquisitor origins would be pretty interesting. I saw a post on tumblr once about, say, an Elven servant or a Tranquil mage getting caught up in all of it. (With the mage, being sucked into the Fade might somehow restore their connection to it and reverse the process? I dunno. Would really like to try that one out though.)
4.) Would like to try out a Hedge Mage character as well. Possibly with a Templar or a traditionally instructed mage.
5.) I'd also like to do an Anders x (Hawke) kind of thing set after DA2, so it's well into the mage rebellion and all that. Would it be something they tried to resolve after realizing how out of control and horrible it became? Would they still be intent on seeing it through?
6.) TRESPASSER SPOILERS: I thought it might be cool to have a roleplay concerning Solas' plot to change the world and all that. It doesn't much matter if we decide to explore what might happen if he succeeds, or if we play out the attempt to stop him. (Also great because I don't know if things are going to be happening in Tevinter next??)
- Tera: Rising* - Ark: Survival Evolved - Darkest Dungeon, or something based on it - Pokemon*
Originals:
Medieval/Fantasy:
- I am hardcore craving something D&D related without having to join more games, so a roleplay integrating races, lore, monsters, and all that good stuff would be absolutely amazing.
- (Princess) x Invading King/Prince*:
Scenario 1: As the seaside kingdom of Preda's army was beaten back, its king became increasingly worried about the welfare of his loved ones. Before the siege was upon them, he decided to send both his daughter and wife away to safety. The latter wouldn't leave him, but he gave his daughter no choice - she being their only child and the heir to the throne. So, she left with a small guard and attempted to slip past enemy forces in order to reach a port on the coast. It seemed to go well until a family they sought refuge with betrayed them, tipping off one of the occupying soldiers and leading to the princess' capture.
Scenario 2: (High Fantasy) When the Elven kingdom of Ryta came under fire, the king and his daughter knew the invading force was superior. Still, she stubbornly took to the field when the fighting reached the castle town. She rallied the troops and put up a valiant fight, but was incapacitated by an enemy soldier (or perhaps the king/prince himself) and woke up in their encampment.
- Rebel x Royal - Combat Instructor x (Pupil)* - Master x (Slave)* 18+ - Dragon(shapeshifter) x (Dragon Slayer) - Demon Warrior x (Cleric)* - Knight x (Disguised Female Knight) - (Mage) x Hunter* - Low fantasy/non-fantasy in a fictional world - Demon x Spellcaster - (Court Mage) x Prince:
Grand Mages are a scarce commodity, and having one dedicated to serving the Royal Family helped their image greatly. However, this particular mage is prone to having her nose in a book or her head in her clouds when not working, and the middle son finds that almost endearing. After a brief stretch of not getting along as well as hoped - mainly due to the prince's sense of humor and his habit of visiting her on a daily basis - the two go through something that helps them form a closer bond than they thought they'd ever have.
- (Elf) x Demon:
The war between the two races has gone on for centuries and hasn't accomplished much. The struggle has always been over a power source - one that the elves use for enhancing their magic and the demons require to thrive. When an injured elf who is unable to return to her land is found by a demon who has grown weary of the war, he brings her back to his home in order to nurse her back to health. That noble action might just get them into a great deal of trouble.
- Medieval Fantasy Quest*:
Once, the land of Emberlund had been ruled by a cruel woman, who was frequently referred to as the Demon Queen. After many years of failed rebellions, a pair of assassins finally succeeded in taking her down. Time passed, and there was an agreement for a Council of Kings to rule the land. The Council was a greatly needed change for Emberlund. The land began to prosper, and many forgot the hard time under the queen's rule. Unrest began brewing once more, caused by the razing of the countryside by a man and the shadowy creatures he seemed to command. He left some alive to inform the Council that the 'Knight of the Demon Queen' would have his revenge. As with many evil beings, he was able to gather quite a following; enough to make him a threat. The Council began piecing together a team of skilled mercenaries in order to get in close and combat this man, hopefully ending the conflict for good.
- Anything epic quest related - Anything with monsters and magic - Willing to consider most anything, so feel free to suggest!
Modern/Fantasy:
- Supernatural Detectives (Think Lost Girl) (Could do if presented with an interesting premise.) - Superhumans vs. Government - Supervillain x (Heroine) - Superhero Boarding School - Shut-in x New Neighbor* - Werewolf x Human/Werewolf - Modern Fantasy** Take your fantasy creatures and magic and stick them in a modern setting. - Incubus x (Human)*
Unlike the majority of his kind, this incubus takes physical form during the day. He likes to pick his targets after some interaction and observation. He decides to enroll in college for a laugh and an easier time finding sources of nutrition, but also finds something he did not expect. He feels strangely drawn to a young woman in one of his classes, but can't explain why. She also finds him interesting, more for the mysterious vibe he gives off than his looks. After they start talking and get to know one another a little better, he finds himself returning to her slumbering mind time and time again to feed. However, he's also around to witness just what that's been doing to her. Will he ever tell her his feelings, or that he's the one who has been making near-nightly visits for the last month? And what will they do when someone (or something) shows up that's a serious danger to the both of them?
- Vampire x (Slayer)*
A powerful family of vampires has settled into the city, effectively breaking the uneasy truce between the humans and vampires. After their killing and indiscriminate turning continues for a while longer, the slayers in the area decide to do something about it. Before they can, however, help arrives from an unexpected source. A different group of vampires band together with the organization in order to get the problem under control. One of these vampires takes a relatively inexperienced slayer under his wing when it's plain that she needs help with more than just her training.
- Post-Apocalyptic Superhumans
The Human Genome Virus; a mysterious byproduct of genetic engineering that spread like wildfire through every country of the world, and no one knew how to stop it. Some died, while most were mutated into horrible beings devoid of the humanity they once possessed. The rest, well, some were immune to this virus and remained exactly the same. Others...were changed forever. They had been the sick ones, the ones who had almost ended up like the beasts but managed to pull through. Their genetic makeup was altered, allowing for them to gain abilities - powers like you would see in a comic book. However, those powers also came with a price. As they gained their abilities, they also lost something. Some lost their sight, some lost their hearing. Some lost their compassion or their fear. Some even lost the ability to think for themselves. Others were cursed in different ways. They maybe grew scales, or their hair fell out. Whatever happened to them, they were completely different than the person they once were. And now, they were the protectors of the remaining humans. They are tasked with defending cities and those within from the threat of the mutated monsters lurking outside the gates. There are some who act of their own accord, of course, but they are few in number.
After its construction, a selection of scientists are sent to live in the hovering cities built in a pocket of atmosphere similar to Earth's own that sits above the dangerous sulfuric acid clouds. They were initially there to study the planet, but soon realize that they ought to be studying the life forms they find. Then, they come to find that there's something within the deadly clouds that's much more threatening than the acid could hope to be.
In some parts of the world, children are still brought up with the folklore of the land. That doesn't mean that all of them buy it. People these days are far more likely to believe they're just children's stories, but that isn't always true. A young woman who has spent many years overseas finally returns home, having completely wiped her mind of the foolish tales of her youth. However, as she's exploring the woods one day, she finds herself a fairy ring. Knowing fully well that her mother always warned her against it (and probably would to this day), she steps in. Unfortunately for her, this ring was one of the few active ones in the area. She's spirited away into the faerie realm, where she encounters awe inspiring sights, great danger, and the possibility of romance. Will she stay, or will she try returning to her old life?
So that was a lil more than I planned on typing out tonight. Anyway, feel free to make some suggestions on anything - I'm willing to consider! Aaand just send me a PM if you're interested or have questions!
