Before Ria even had a chance to respond, a bolt of familiar black energy rammed into the frozen man, dispersing the ice and sending him reeling backward. Before he had a chance to fall and hurt himself, Illedrith was there to catch him, putting him back on his feet and brushing the last of the ice off his shivering shoulders. Too disturbed by the events and the escalation of mages in the area, the stall owner looked down as his shoes and ran off for the edge of the street without even a word of thanks. In his place, an unwelcome sight filled Illedrith's vision.

"Well well well, two little harlots appear in a Golem event and they attack the citizenry? Tch tch tch. That's no good... Maybe you two ought to leave"

An already deteriorating outing was about to get even worse it seemed, and Illedrith's eyes took on a hard glint as she glared at Vega across the street. However, before she had the chance to do anything reckless, more Golem members arrived and chimed in, her salvation arriving in the form of Rei Miyamoto.

"Enough. The guildmaster had arranged this event as the founding of the guild, not for the purpose of prohibiting Harpy's Wings members from joining. If you have a problem with this decision, take it with me.

"Ria, I would advice you not to propagate the misuse of your powers at our festival; Illedrith, reprimand her as needed."

It also seemed that Sunny had arrived sometime during the confusion and was mirroring Rei's sentiments. Another of the members of Golem's Hand that she had no real desire to interact with, Illedrith unconsciously drew closer to her sisters to place herself between them and the notorious sis-con. However, he walked away without incident, and the situation seemed to be less likely to deteriorate into a fight. Breathing a sigh of relief that the incident looked like it would blow over for the moment, she turned to her sisters and replied.

"Yes. Food. Good idea, I'll need it after this. Go check out the food stalls yourselves, but stay close and don't get lost! I'll deal with this and catch up with you."

Turning back to the scene, she called out to the savior of the situation, while also keeping her eye on the perpetrator of the incident

"Solus! Thanks for that; would you mind sticking around to help me deal with this? It's fine if you'd rather not though, this is a Harpy incident after all..."
@Sho Minazuki Just in regard to you most recent post, Ceri and Klisa were right behind Illedrith when you talked to her, and should have been visible during the conversation.
"It's a beautiful day outside! Birds are singing and flowers are blooming! On days like these, you should be out there enjoying the sunlight!"

Despite the noise of the common area of the guildhall, Illedrith's cheerful voice cut through the clutter like a knife through butter. Used to her 'occasionally excessive' volume, the fellow guildies just grinned at the familiar scene. With her one of her adorable little sisters off looking for the other one, Illedrith had been using the spare time to mercilessly pester the biggest layabout in the guild, Odinn. She'd been too busy earlier in the day, making sure that all the younger groups going to the festival had everything they needed (including a stern warning that if they caused any trouble she'd hunt their asses down) and preparing for her own foray into town, but now she had all the time in the world.

"Besides, what with everyone leaving for the festival, there won't be anyone left here for you to scab drinks off! They'll have better stuff at the festival anyway you know, and I might even be nice enough to buy you if you can deign to drag yourself down there..."

Despite her seemingly harsh words, the whole tirade was delivered with a grin, as it was more of a playful jab by Illedrith than an actual wholehearted attempt to get him out of the bar. As she finished speaking, she noticed that Klisa had returned from her hunt, and that Ceri was with her. Seeing the two of them walking down the stairs together made her face split into a massive smile, they were just too cute together for her to handle. As they walked over, Illedrith turned away from Odinn to face them; he wouldn't be going anywhere.

"Hi, Mis. Sorry for making you wait..."

As Ceri began to fidget, Illedrith stepped forward and swept her into a big hug, doing her best not to jab her with the pointy bits of her armor.

"Ceriiii!! You decided to come, I'm so proud of you! Excellent work, K! We're gonna have a great time, and I promise I won't let either of you get lost or leave you alone!"

Letting the captive Ceri go, Illedrith turned back to look at where Odinn was.

"And if you decide to come down, you're more than welcome to join us in our festivities, right up until the point where you lose yourself to the liquor."

~~~
The walk down into the town was both lovely and uneventful, with the midday sun providing a perfect temperature for the festivities of the day. Illedrith had chosen to forego her typical full-plate rig for a light summer dress, though she still had the light portions of her armor on, and her trusty halberd strapped to her back in its short form, looking to all the world like an over-sized axe. Cheerfully greeting the shop keeps and stall owners on their way to the center of town, everything was going splendidly. That was true until she saw the back of a large ice throne.
Illedrith didn't even need to see the person sitting in the throne to know whose handiwork this was. As she approached it, she called out loudly to its creator.
"Ria, what have you done this t-AAAHH!"
It was at this point that she noticed the man, dressed in festival garb and frozen over entirely in ice.
"AGAIN?!? Ria, you can't keep freezing random citizens in blocks of ice like this!! Don't you remember how angry the guildmistress was at you last time?? What were you thinking? Unfreeze him immediately!"
@Vulkan Yeah, essentially. If you've read a bunch of them you'll have noticed there's a few different ways of doing it, but it's basically what your character would say or what they think about a particular other character. It's not mandatory for sure, but it's a pretty cool thing to have!
Why are so many characters creeped out by Hans? xD
Not Illedrith! He's just quirky and secretive, not creepy! :D
Howdy all! I spent the entire day watching episodes, so i think i have a vague idea on what to do. Heres my character!
WOO! HALBERD SQUAAAAD! Polearms for DAYS.
Also, while you might not like sharing your history, how long have you been in the guild?
Hmmm...
still waiting for that IC.
gods I'm impatient....blegh xD
Anyways, we need a team name @KiltmanBagz @Lord Sawsaw2!
...or you know, we don't really need one I guess but it'd be cool to have one xP
I feel like no matter what we call ourselves, there's always going to be a bunch of people in the guild who will call us "Illedrith's Ducklings" or something, since I think Illedrith will have been in a team with younger members for most of her time in the guild and the name would have stuck.
As for actual names, since water also reflects light, something like "Smokey Reflections"? I dunno, I can't think of anything good.
As with all magic, if the spell is strong enough, the mirror will be unable to reflect the spell, and will either shatter after absorbing the spell or simply break apart. Given that your magic feeds off other magic, the threshold would be lower for you I imagine.
The real question is, how do reflected attacks work? Can you drain yourself of magic with your reflected attacks? If so, where does the magic go? To Illedrith? Back to yourself? Questions.
Would someone be so kind as to take a look at my spells, make sure they're not out of line.
In fact I'm going to go around and see if I may have overdone it, or underdone it.
Not that I'm a GM or anything, but Burial doesn't really seem like a spell, and Chains of Purgatory seems like an auto-hit skill as-written, so I would consider revising those.
It will be interesting to find out how Illedrith's reflections interact with this magic...
I've updated my CS with newly approved spells and with an updated relationship chart with all of the characters in the tab so far!
Looking forward to getting into the world; thanks a bunch Mr. GM, Sir!
A previous relations of Rei and Illedrith is very interesting, I like that!
Makes some sense that he'd know a couple people before ^^.
Well, they've both lived in the town for basically their whole lives, and they're essentially the same age. It would be odd if they didn't know each other to at least some extent.
