Name: Sir Matau (pronounciation: Mah-Toe) Orcabran
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Race: Zora
Personality: Matau is known to be cunning. He will always try to find a crafty solution to any problem set before him, as well as try to outshine his competitors no matter what the challenge might be. He will often take action before talking, and when he does talk his sharp tongue often lands him in trouble. Matau is an honest man, taught to uphold the traditions that his people have taught him.
Biography: The tale of Matau begins with his father, Tikow of Orcabran, travelling with many of his family members away from the Frozen Southern Ocean. Tikow left behind a life of Nobility among southern Zora to settle in the much warmer climates of the Lanaryu. A few years later, after Tikow and his family had settled in as commoner's within the Zora Domain, Tikow's youngest mate gave birth to the young warrior-to be, Matau. Although Tikow enjoyed the folk life, Matau's mother would tell stories about the Frozen Southern Ocean, his roots and the giant creatures that roamed the south seas. These stories became Matau's passion as a kid, and he put all his effort into becoming a warrior who would freely venture their depths.
Upon his 21st birthday, many of his relatives were making a journey back to visit their family, and so Matau left with his father's blessing to become a warrior of the South Zora people, as well as finally make his dreams come true. He spent 8 years earning his keep, and hunted hundreds of different types of Shark, Squid, Deku Toads and Foreign Sea Creatures unknown to Hyrule.
But one day, the Frozen Southern Seas were hit with mighty storms that twisted the seas, making them almost too harsh to continue living. Fear struck the Southern Zora, and so Matau went to a Seer among his people for answers. The Seer told Matau that if he wanted to calm the waters once more, he would find the answer in Hyrule. Making one more perilous journey through the South Ocean, Matau comes back to where he was born to help Hyrule in a time of darkness.
